tions that we loved, and the design was simple and exactly what I wanted. They were very easy to work with and the cake was definitely the highlight of our reception.

ork best for the type of cake I wanted (semi-naked). Since this was a destination wedding for us, we chose not to save the top tier. There was a little bit of cake left over that I willingly ate on the drive back to Chicago the next day. If D Bar is an option for your cake, you should choose them. You will not have regrets!
D Bar Desserts was the PERFECT place to get our wedding cake. We chose 3 flavors for the 3 tiers and it was beyond delicious! D Bar was very generous during our tasting, giving us ...
sizable portions with lots of fillings to try. Although they weren't that commmunicative and we were concerned that they might have forgotten us, we had no reason to be concerned. The cake arrived right on time and D Bar even placed the flowers we had wanted on it that were provided by our florist. Cannot recommend them enough!
Please note: D Bar is in the midst of changing locations, so they are no longer on 17th!
D Bar is AMAZING. I took advice from my brother, an executive chef in the Denver area, ...
and he was SO right! To start, the tasting was professional, but relaxed, and we were given a broad range of cakes/frostings/fillings to try. I loved their lemon curd, but wanted lime curd for filling instead. It was not a problem at all and they made it just for me! After sending cake ideas to each other, I was sent several drafts and my ideas were adjusted from there.
My cake was a 3-tier with vanilla bean buttercream frosting, vanilla cake, and lime curd filling. The middle tier was covered in white rock candy for texture and the top/bottom tiers were clean (almost looked like fondant it was so perfect). It was beeeautiful! Lisa was so accommodating, even making my cake perfect in the midst of the shop changing locations. My guests were taking pictures and wanted seconds they loved it so much! I had zero problems and couldn't be happier with my experience!
You will not be disappointed if you go here!

I loved D Bar's cakes for years before trying to find a cake for my wedding. We shopped around, but D Bar has the best cakes in the city. The price and how inclusive the cake desig...
ns are is comparable or cheaper than other bakeries, but the cakes are so much better from D Bar. I also loved designing our own flavors at the cake tasting session to ensure that we had what we wanted at the reception. Michelle was very helpful and the cake turned out perfect.
From the first time I ever ate their Cake & Shake dessert (which was shown on the cover of 5280 magazine), I knew it was the cake I would have at my wedding. Grandma's Chocolat...
e Cake, as they call it, is so deliciously moist and flavorably exciting for your tongue. and Keegan, who is the host and judge on Food Network Challenge, came and delivered the cake personally, which I think is pretty amazing.
