We loved working with Noah at the Custom Catering Center to plan our wedding. This venue is affordable, and though it is not the fanciest venue available, it can be decorated to lo...
ok very nice inside. Our guests were very satisfied with the food and service provided by the CCC staff. They accommodated all of our special requests to move chairs between the ceremony and reception, and allowed us to come in the day before the wedding to decorate since there was no Friday night reservation. We are very satisfied!
When we began searching for our reception venue, price and food were our main concerns. We had already decided to serve only appetizers because the wedding and reception were betwe...
en lunch and dinner. Most catering companies wanted to charge us outrageous prices and listed them by piece. Custom Catering center charged us by person, and this included five different appetizers of our choice; each person was estimated to eat three-five of each appetizer. Other catering companies required you to spend a minimum on food alone, and most of the minimums were as much as our entire order at Custom Catering Center. They also charged extra for the decorations and the dance floor, both of which were included in Custom Catering's price. The atmosphere and style of Custom Catering's building were just what we were looking for, very elegant and yet cozy. The venue could easily seat 250-300 guest. The food was amazing and the menus were easy to understand; many of the options were classical dishes, not over-the-top fancy pieces that we had to look up on the internet just to know what it was. The only problem we had with Custom Catering was the wait staff, who were a little disorganized. This was particularly obvious during the cake cutting ceremony, where my wife and I stood embarrassed and confused, not knowing where to begin cutting or how. We probably ruined a few slices in our efforts to cut the first piece.
Custom catering is great at working with small budgets; we were very satisfied with how much food we got for the price and everything tasted great!!!
We used Custom Catering at our outdoor wedding in Wytheville, VA. Noah was wonderful to work with -- I had tons of questions along the way and he was always prompt and thorough wi...
th his responses. He allowed us to come in and sample some of the food so we knew exactly what we wanted and what to expect. We had the buffet option which worked perfectly for our event. I was too excited to eat everything, but everyone else said the food was fantastic, and I know the little bit that I did have was great. I would absolutely recommend them, because after the tax, service, travel, etc the grand total was around $3000 for a full buffet with 2 entree options, multiple sides, salad, breads, appetizer trays, and drinks for a 150 person wedding. I couldn't believe it!!
I would recommend Custom Catering to everyone in my area! They are very professional and are so great to work with. With 200 people at the reception, there were no long lines at th...
e buffet, and there was plenty of room to move around. The food is delicious!
We had a very laid back southern wedding. We served pulled pork bbq, mac-and-cheese, green beans, scalloped potatoes, chicken kabobs... every bite was delicious! You just won't b...
eat the value. The company has catered events for Virginia Tech, so they know what they're doing. The food couldn't have been any more delicious, Noah Shanks was a pleasure to deal with and his staff was so fantastic. I didn't even realize they were there. I would absolutely recommend custom catering.
Custom catering was a great company to work with setting up the reception. They were very helpful, and always available to answer my questions. They had a large selection of menu i...
tems, a beautiful reception hall at a very good rate, and let us come in the day before to set up for the reception at no extra cost. My one complaint would be that it took them a long time to bring my husband and I our drinks so we had to go to another table to get a pitcher, and they didn't keep people's drinks full. However, they were understaffed that day, so I don't think it's typically a problem. The staff kept the food hot, and were very prompt serving the food and getting the wedding cake and champagne out quickly. They even took some money off the bill because of the drink situation. I was very pleased.
We used Custom Catering Center in September 2010 for our wedding reception. The meal was great! The service was excellent, working with Noah (the manager) was great. I highly recom...
mend this facility. The price and location was perfect. The only thing I could have changed was the color of the chairs. Although they were nice, they were a maroon color that was a little outdated looking in my opinion. Other than that, it was great!
