I had the pleasure of working with Laura, and we ordered a cupcake tower instead of the traditional wedding cake for our wedding. It was worth every penny and our guests loved them...
! They looked too pretty to touch and eat! But we did it anyway and they were so good! They arrived on time and setup everything beautifully! Love them!!!
This incredible bakery took our idea and turned it into a gorgeous dream come true! We used Cupcakes for Courage (Courageous Bakery) for our wedding cake as well as cupcakes, and ...
they were unreal! As usual, there was plenty of dessert left at the end of the night because everyone was too busy dancing to eat it (ha) so we sent almost everyone home with to-go boxes of cake and/or cupcakes. Even DAYS later they were just like fresh! Don't know what you ladies did to those cakes, but keep doing it! Their range in flavors was outstanding, and the gluten free options were a huge help for many of our guests. Cannot recommend this bakery highly enough!
These cupcakes are amazing and we got many compliments after the wedding. Courageous Bakery is very generous at the tasting and we loved all the flavors we tried. Laura, the owne...
r, was so easy to work with and was genuinely happy for us on our marriage. I really felt we were her priority on the wedding day, where our venue gave her a 1-hour window to drop off the cupcakes and set up the display while they flipped the room from ceremony to reception. I would definitely choose them if I had to do it all over again!
We chose Cupcakes for Courage for two simple reasons 1) my hubby and I are not fans of cakes & 2) the cupcakes are to die for!!
I first tried their cupcakes at my church when the...
Cupcake Truck would show up and I loved them. When it came down time to pick a "cake" for our wedding, there was not a doubt in my mind who we should choose!
The whole process from the tasting to our enjoying them at our reception was easy and yummy!! It was a please working with Laura from Cupcakes to Courage. Everything was handled in a professional manner and she went above and beyond anything I imagined. Our tasting was amazing & we left the shop with so many amazing flavors to choose from!! The display and set up of our wedding cupcakes was beautiful!! The team did an amazing job setting up all the cupcakes, labeling the flavors and just making everything look gorgeous. The display stand we chose was beautifully decorated to match our wedding colors and I was just in awe!! If you are looking for something different than just your traditional wedding cake, I would highly recommend Laura and her team at Cupcakes for Courage!! They are fun to work with and your guests will love the cupcakes :)
Our venue package originally included a bakery but we could not fit a tasting in our short timeframe. We yelped bakeries in the western suburbs and found Courageous Bakery. Their b...
ackstory sounded great and coworkers raved about their cupcakes. We were able to get a tasting the following weekend after contacting them. At the bakery, they provided 11 cupcakes for us to try of all different flavors. We picked pink velvet as our cake and 4 flavors for our guests' cupcakes. The pink velvet was our favorite flavor and the best that I've had.
We were able to rent a tower for the cupcakes to placed on at the reception. The cupcakes were delivered and set up before guests arrived. All of our guests raved about the cupcakes and many asked where they came from!
Courageous Bakery has amazing cupcakes and our wedding cake was absolutely delicious. They were generally easy to work with, though sometimes e-mail communication took a little whi...
le. I think they generally do a lot more cupcake cakes than actual cakes, but our cake was not complicated and it looked good. The cake was a little pricey for a simple design, but as I said, it was delicious, and that was the most important thing to us.
They're cupcakes were wonderful and everyone loved the flavors we chose, especially the key lime and the gluten free strawberry. Being able to do a gluten free cupcake that was nea...
rly indiscernible from a normal wheat flour cake was one of the reasons Courageous Bakery sold us. They're happy personalities and underlying causes were other reasons.
There were a couple small issues. One was a bit of delayed communication closer to our wedding date. Though I think this may have been due to the loss of their wedding coordinator, something we were not informed of and it required a couple unanswered emails and a misdirected phone call before I contacted the bakery directly and received any response. Also we were limited to chose from only certain flavors for a couple of our cupcakes because of their need to coordinate menus even though we had originally been told when we signed with them that we would be free to choose any. They were able to fulfill our need for tasty cupcakes so everything turned out great in the end. People loved them!
When we signed a contract, we were told they only took one wedding per day. Closer to the event, they told us we would have to compromise our flavor choices because of the other we...
dding they had that day. Our cakes were accidentally delivered to that wedding, but luckily arrived just before the ceremony started. Overall, the cupcakes were delicious but it was stressful until it all came together.
I am a VERY picky cupcake reviewer, so when my husband found a cupcake truck who donate a portion of proceeds toward cancer research my fingers were crossed. The MOST delicious cup...
cakes Chicago has, and the cause is near to my heart. Weddings are all about your ego, so giving back felt great. They even perfected a German Chocolate cake on top of the beautiful tower to cut, since that is my husband's favorite.
