About this vendor
Cuarteto Guataca is NYC based band specializing in Salsa and Son Cubano. We currently play a few weekly engagements, but we will be happy to sub out one of our regular gigs to play for your special day. We offer a range of musical services including ceremony, cocktail, reception, rehearsal dinner, MC and DJ. We can play 100% acoustic to provide high energy danceable music without the high decibel levels. If sound reinforcement is needed, we are prepared with a state of the art Bose system. If you're interested in booking us, I encourage you to come experience the band in person.
We book our gigs through a platform called GigSalad. The fastest way to get a quote for your event is to send a request for a quote through this link:

We were so lucky to have Cuarteto Guataca at our wedding. They went above and beyond when it came to planning, their flexibility, and their execution. Whenever I had a question t...
hroughout the planning process, Josh was on the phone with me listening to ideas and working with me to make our event flawless. They are an incredible group of talented musicians who got all the dancers dancing and the non dancers dancing too! They played for all aspects of our wedding and even learned a Beatles song for my entrance. We love to see them perform around the city, where we live but to have them travel all the way to CT for our wedding was even more of a treat. We had multiple people ask us for their information at our wedding because they want to see them live or book them themselves! We couldn't be happier!
Looking for something other than your traditional wedding singer or DJ? The beats of salsa and other lively rhythmic music will make you smile, move and sway during your party. Wh...
ile this group was not at my wedding, the entire ensemble and/or individual members has/have played at multiple public events I’ve organized as well as at personal family parties.
Cuarteto Guataca are simply the best band in town for Son Cubano!

ment I booked to day of the event, Josh was amazing to work with and so professional. He also was super accommodating to specific song requests. We selected a blend of oldies and classic parranda (puerto rican christmas carols) done wonderfully! We were all extremely happy with Josh and all the performers who brought some cheer to her special day!
Well it wasn't for a wedding, but for a few moments nearly as precious. In the midst of the craziness of the 2020, we found ourselves wondering how to celebrate two huge milestones...
: my 40th birthday, then later my wife's baby shower for our first child. For both of these once-in-a-lifetime events we had the tremendous fortune to be able to hire Cuarteto Guataca to play outside. Their sublime cuban music without fail inspired all to cast aside pandemic woes and celebrate these occasions with glorious dancing and joyous revelry, truly making our moments special and memorable. Hire them, if you can! They were prompt, reliable, professional, super friendly, and just great people.
Cuarteto Guataca has the rhythm in their blood. Everyone in their company feels the beat and soon everyone is moving and dancing and letting go. They're not only technically impres...
sive but have pro presence and genuine connectivity with the audience. I felt they were a part of our circle and created a high energy and soulful experience we won't soon forget. Everyone loved their music and they were a joy to hear. They helped make our experience ultra authentic, culturally unique, and highly memorable.
Each of these musicians is accomplished in their own right. When they play together, something special happens. Your guests will remember dancing in another time and place. The mus...
ic is fresh and yet you may feel like you traveled to Cuba 1948 or la Belle Epoque or even some speak easy when jazz was organic and authentic. Flexible, smart and professional you they will weave the final net of magical dust on your special day.
