Country Club of the North (CCN) provided the perfect setting for my daughter's wedding day! The space was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff made sure everything ran...
incredibly smoothly. Lisa Renshaw was so helpful and encouraging from our very first meeting. She had great suggestions, but at the same time encouraged my daughter to make this event her own and do things her own way. We originally scheduled CCN for just the reception, but just a few weeks before the event, we had to ask whether we could also have the wedding at their facility. They effortlessly accommodated that request and made sure everything was in order for the ceremony. The staff was kind, patient, and responsive the day of the event, which greatly decreased the stress level for this nervous Mama of the Bride! Lisa...she's like a super hero working like crazy to make a bride feel special. My only suggestion would be to find a wonderful assistant or colleague for her so she doesn't get exhausted. They definitely want to keep her on staff! We had the time of our lives and left with terrific memories of a special day. I would recommend Lisa and Country Club of the North without hesitation!
I have mixed reviews of Country Club of the North. First let me start by saying the venue is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. After my initial visit, no other venue compared t...
o CCN. It has a very serene feel and there are so many different options for your wedding ceremony and your reception. After a month of viewing venues, we happily decided on Country Club of the North.
My wedding was an amazing and joyful occasion. Everything went smoothly as planned and my family even planned a surprise, sparkler send of for my husband and I. The pictures are stunning!
The food was delicious!! Because it was a country club, my mind immediately thought of tasteless and dry hospital food but I was dead wrong! The tasting completely surprised me, everything we tasted was the exact opposite, bursting with flavor, the meats moist, and the salmon, hands down, was the best I’ve ever tasted. Deciding on our dinner menu proved to be one of the most difficult decisions we made in our entire planning process. Our family and guests still continue to rave over their dinners. The chef is truly talented.
The downside of my wedding journey and CCN was the inaccessibility of Lisa Renshaw, the event coordinator for the facility, throughout the entire process. I’ve heard and read mixed reviews about her services but chose CCN based on our first impression of her during our initial meeting. There were a total of four conversations over a sixteen month time frame. The initial meeting where we gave her our deposit, the food tasting, at a bridal show, and once over the phone. This being my first wedding, I had several questions that had it not been for my planner’s persistence, would’ve went unanswered. I still have several unanswered emails, including my last one asking when should I bring her the final payment. My planner asked the receptionist for the general manager’s phone number to have my questions answered, due to Mrs. Renshaw’s inaccessibility three weeks before my wedding. You can imagine how frustrating this was for a bride on top of the 99 other things going on this close to a wedding. Once she finally responded, she sent me FOUR incorrect final invoices!! I had to text her (she wasn’t in her office, again) notes from our last meeting so she could remember our initial deposit and correctly add it to the invoice. At this point, I was so disappointed in her lack of service and there was nothing I could do about it but appreciate the fact that I had a magnificent planner who is still, after the wedding, worth her weight in gold. She was able to calm and reassure my husband and I that all of the stress would be well worth it in the end. On the day of our wedding, Mrs. Renshaw was at the venue and not one time did she speak to my husband or myself. There was no congratulations or a simple thank you for your business or for our thousands of dollars would have sufficed. Unbelievable. I wouldn’t wish this experience on any bride, it was frustrating to say the least and a complete lack of professionalism.
However, there was someone who was attentive to my family and I on my wedding day, Mr. Tony. He was attentive, professional, and friendly. We appreciate and respect him for that.
I had a great experience at CCN! Lisa has so much experience with weddings that she could give me tons of great advise. The wedding was gorgeous, and we didn't have any problems th...
roughout the evening. The staff was amazing and made all of my ideas happen. I'm so glad I chose to have my reception here!
Lisa was amazing to work with! She comes automatically with the venue, and I knew I was in good hands! She took care of SO much I thought I would have to! The food was amazing and ...
set up was perfect! And after the wedding they cleaned everything up and boxed up all my stuff! Worry free!
The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We wanted our reception to be in a beautiful and modern space, and CCN hit the mark! In addition to the modern and spacious interior, the outdoor ...
spaces and landscaping made for perfect pictures.
There were many options when it came to food and beverage options, which ensured it was tailored to what we wanted on our special day for our family and friends.
The club was extremely accommodating and ensured everything was perfect on our special day. The staff worked incredibly well with all of our vendors--with most of whom they already had a great rapport!
Most importantly, the event director, Lisa, made all planning (and the big day) seamless! She and her staff made decision-making simple and provided a lot of insight and best practices. Throughout our planning, we built a relationship with her and her team which carries on today--over a year after our wedding! I think the personalized touch from her and her team was integral in our beautiful day, and it was something that helped our day be all that I wanted it to be!
I would highly recommend Country Club of the North for one's reception!

ntire night. Lisa the event coordinate was a huge help too. She answered all of my questions when ever I asked. This place is amazing.

s amazing for part of the reception with the bistro lights! The staff at CCN went above and beyond to try and make our dream wedding come true. Lisa heard our wants and concerns and made sure she addressed them all. The food was great too! They just got a news chef. The price for the food and drinks are pretty fair compared to other similar venues. Their banquet room is a little narrow and long but it still worked for our 200 person reception. The outdoor areas make up for it..just make sure you have your DJ add extra speakers toward the back so everyone can hear.
I got married on May 23, 2015. I can not say enough good things about Country Club of the North. The staff there is amazing and takes care of you. Not to mention, Lisa, the one who...
is in charge, is the best part about Country Club of the North. I never had any worries about things not getting done and we were in great hands. The day of the wedding I did not have to lift a finger because the staff of CCN were setting everything up and even teared down once the night was over. The food was amazing and guest were very impressed! They have great bar packages that make any guest happy. I can honestly say that the staff at CCN made our wedding so special by allowing us to enjoy the precious moments. I would highly recommend Country Club of the North!!!
I knew I wanted my wedding reception to be at CCN for a LONG time. The patio area overlooking the golf course was beautiful enough that I breezily disregarded the awkward length/s...
hape of the indoor area and the deafening air conditioning exhaust noise on the cocktail hour patio... What I couldn't get past was the complete lack of professionalism exhibited by the employees. And not just one employee- pretty much all of them. After I had already booked my date with them and paid the $2,500 deposit it would consistently take me up to three weeks and multiple follow up phone calls to get an email responded to. When I did finally get a response it would frequently be wrong! As in, "Oh, of course you can use the fire pit on the patio, S'mores are a great idea!" Only to then be told on the next visit- "Oh, NO WAY! The patio is ONLY for members..." Or another of my favorites "We can play a slideshow of your photos on the television behind the bar!" then to be told "What??? The bar area will DEFINITELY be blocked off- there is no way you can use that space!" How is one supposed to plan a wedding with this kind of service?
Well, after countless headaches I went to a friend's wedding who also used CCN for her reception. Epic Fail. The rookie mistakes by the event staff and management were glaring (granted, I was more critical than ANY gracious wedding guest should be since I was planning my event there at the same time- but seriously, they cut the cake and then left it in the kitchen and didn't serve it to her guests! And to close the bar they just whipped a table cloth off of a table and threw it over the bar- leaving the table a bare plywood eyesore with the sash laying on the floor! I would be furious!). After witnessing so many mistakes first hand and seeing how disappointed my friend was that they had screwed up her vision so miserably I decided I had had enough. I tried to cancel with them (8 months out from my wedding at this point) and was told that I could not have my deposit back. I contemplated suing them to get it back but at the end of the day decided I didn't want to spend my wedding planning time stressing out over them. It was an expensive and unfortunate lesson in what I DIDN'T want.
I ended up going to NCR Country Club and LOVED everything about working with them from the venue itself to the amazing event coordinator. I'm confident I made the right choice in ditching CCN even though it was tough to make that call at the time.
I reserved my wedding date in over a year in advance with the paid $2500 deposit and they just called to tell me that I can no longer have my wedding there due to renovations. My ...
wedding is 5 months away and there is no where that is comparable to that facility available. I think it is completely wrong what they have done, when I signed a contract and paid a deposit. This is seriously my worse nightmare.
As soon as my groom and I saw this location we said- this is it! Beautiful outdoor and indoor locations and cite coordinator to assist you with the planning. Food was delicious and...
the location was easily accessible for all our family members. During the planning process, the coordinator was quite blunt about certain things and did not ease my stress as much as I had hoped! On the wedding day however, the staff was wonderful and helpful- we even had an assistant for the day in the womens and mens dressing rooms (which are also amazing)! I would recommend this location if you are very certain of the details you want when working with the coordinator :)
I had my wedding at Country Club of the North in May 2011. The facility was BEAUTIFUL, however that was one of the only few positive things. This review is meant to outline real is...
sues I had so brides are forwarned, because i was not. Pam Vitale, the club's event coordinator was very hard to get ahold of. She has way to many responsibilities and she rarely returns your calls. I had over 3 meetings with her and each time she would re-ask me the same details we had gone over in a previous meeting, because she did not write it all down, or lost it, which stressed me out. The day of my wedding I arrived at 9am to start getting ready with my girls. Pam had said that the women's locker room was mine to use the day of my wedding. She didnt specify a specific area, but she pointed out a big area with mirrors and such. We were also being served lunch in there that day which took up alot of space in the lounge area. So at about 12 that day we were still getting make-up done, one of the staff came in with an attitude and began snapping at me saying I was disturbing members because we were using one of their benches to sit on for make-up. We were not given any other chairs and when i had first arrived, the original lady helping me get settled never said anything about specific benches or chairs we could use. Not to mention there were only 2 members that had come into the locker room that morning and they were both super nice. So the staff member made us get up and move immediately, not even letting my make-up artist get all of her make-up off the bench before moving it! Not to mention this locker room is huge with about 30 or more benches just like the one we were using. When I tried to explain why we were using the bench she said she it didn’t matter it wasn’t mine to use! When I started to get upset the staff member was like " I have been assigned to help you today" and when I told her she has made my day much worse,I was already stressed out, and that I wanted her to leave me alone and not to come near me, she insisted that she could not leave me because this was her job!!! It took my make-up artist and mom yelling at her before she got out of my face! I was dumbfounded, no one had ever said that we could not use any of the seating in that room!It made no sense! Then during my ceremony, which over-looked the nature reserve and 18th hole outside the facility, Pam had said that the 18th hole would be temporarily shut down during my 15 minute ceremony so I did not have golfers in my background. Well this was not true, and right in the middle of my ceremony a group of golfers started golfing on the 18th hole! Now in all of my ceremony pictures golfers are in the background! In my wedding video you can even hear them talking! The country club is very much about members first and bride second, even though you pay thousands of dollars just to have the facility to use for a few hours! You also must go through Pam to get decorations like arches and chair covers. Her prices are 3 times higher than if you went through an actual company for that stuff so you end up paying much more if you want any kind of decorations at all! Pam had also called my husband the wrong name all day during the wedding and rehearsal, even after he repeatedly corrected her! Even after all my extensive drawn out details of my wedding, the staff still set up my tables wrong, with 6 chairs not 10,& when my husband caught the mistake Pam wanted to argue with him that she was right!
This location was beautiful and the staff was completely AMAZING! They were extremely professional and made sure that everything ran smoothly. The wedding coordinator, Pam, was "...
on top of her game" the entire time and knew exactly how to make the day perfect.
Was here for a friend's wedding in August and everything looked amazing

nd kept everything running smoothly. We ended up getting a military discount which was great. The food cost and alcohol was a bit pricey but that was expected. I really recommend using this venue!
