Let me just start off by saying what a tough thing it is to start planning a Wedding!! I had no idea what I was in for. You see, my husband and I are a same-sex couple and this wa...
s our 1st time doing anything this major. We had no idea if were going to face any obstacles along the way. We were already married in court in December 2016 but we wanted to plan this big wedding as a party to celebrate with our family and friends.
When I started out looking for venues it was a tough choice. I had gone to look at total of 4 and one of which was the Costa Mesa Marriott. All of them were great but when I first contacted the Costa Mesa Marriott I was replied to by Marisa Puga-Aldax (sadly no longer there) and from the beginning she was phenomenal. When we scheduled our meeting, she was kind, courteous, and very down to earth. She was very open and very friendly and didn't sense a "fakeness" about her. Even before we left that day after our 1st meeting, she treated us to chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne. How awesome was that?!?!?!
So from that moment on, we knew it was an easy choice to choose the Costa Mesa Marriott. We were super excited. And let me tell you that Marisa's attitude and happy personality did not change one bit. Unfortunately, she was just our point of contact but once we signed the contract the Events Team would be taking over. Though throughout the planning process, Marisa managed to give us a few perks along the way of which we are so grateful for.
At first we were assigned to someone named Elyse but little did we know that would be short-lived. We had some hiccups with her but Marisa was there help us if Elyse would not reply. We later got assigned to another wonderful lady named Kathleen Krueger when we heard Elyse left, and just like Marisa... Kathleen picked up where Elyse left off. She was a joy to work with as well and was super sweet. She always had a positive and delightful attitude and was always there to answer questions when we needed her to.
I tell all of my family and friends how unbelievable our experience was over at the Costa Mesa Marriott and to this day I still have Wedding Withdrawal symptoms. I wish I could rewind the clock back to do it all over again. It flew by! 😊 Enjoy your planning! 😊
This hotel takes care of your guests! My guests had a little bit of confusion with the booking process, but once they were booked, they took good care of them! I stayed there the n...
ight before the wedding and our wedding night and the staff was so welcoming. They remembered me and wished me well on the wedding day. We did our hair and make-up in the room and there was plenty of space for both stylists to set up. We also used the room for the babysitters for the wedding and there was plenty of space. It was perfect!
My husband and I could not be more pleased by the customer service of the Costa Mesa Marriott. Staff went the extra mile to make sure that our day was perfect and that all the gues...
ts were taken care of. Guests loved that the wedding ceremony and reception were at the same location and at the end of the night, they could ditch the car and take an elevator on up to their room!
