About this vendor
I L-O-V-E that I have the honor of documenting (one of) the most important days in a couples life. Wedding days are full of love, happiness and (well, there better be) dancing. What's not to love!? It's the day everyone you love is in one place. Let me tell you-- it's pretty kick ass! I like to be there to catch all the moments you forgot about (or didn't even know that happened) all while documenting the love you have for your best friend, surrounded by all the people you love, while you look like a million bucks dancing your butt off.
I take the more documentary style approach and like to let your day unfold naturally. If that sounds like what you're looking for than I'm the photographer for you! Let's meet up for some coffee, beer or a glass of wine. I would love to hear your story!

Colleen is absolutely wonderful, both as a person and a photographer! We did, I believe, her largest wedding package, which included our engagement shoot and a second photographer ...
for the wedding. She was extremely accommodating and even drove to our town, which was a bit of a drive, for our engagement shoot. To this day I can not stop looking through the photos, they are beautiful! She is very timely with sneak peaks and the extra time for editing is worth the wait. She was easy to get in contact with, which made everything that much better. We just got our wedding day sneak peak and they're perfect! Colleen is creative, bubbly, and so easy to get along with. Thank you for making our day so special!
I can't begin to describe how incredible Colleen Schmidt is as a wedding photographer and person in general. She did a tremendous job of capturing "real" photos that show our happi...
ness, laughter, and love, and she made sure that my husband and I looked natural and relaxed yet posed in a way that would photograph well. She listened to what was important to us and the style that we wanted our photos to embody - feeling comfortable, capturing candid moments, and bright & cheery photos. We experienced a wide array of weather events on our wedding day - everything from fog to full, bright sun to pouring rain, wet grass, and very high winds. Her photography expertise allowed her to capture us in the moment without being phased for a second by what was out of her control. She had a positive and uplifting attitude throughout our entire wedding day that contributed to us and our whole wedding party having so much taking photos with her - and that fun shows up in the photos!! She is incredibly skilled in knowing how to capture everything from up-close detail shots to wide-angle, all-encompassing portraits. She has a happy, joyful, bubbly personality that was infectious to everyone around, and she did a great job of instructing our large wedding party and different family portrait groups with poise, organization, timeliness, and a sense of calm. As a vendor, she had clear communication and a streamlined, detailed, and organized review process from signing the contract through the final photo delivery and album creation. We also gave her a checklist of the family members and specific reception decorations that we wanted pictures of and she made sure every single item was captured perfectly. Finding and hiring Colleen was easily one of the best decisions that we made throughout our wedding planning process - and I couldn't be happier knowing that we have physical documentation of our wedding day through her photos that we will cherish and look back on with such joy and happiness for the rest of our lives.
It's hard to put into words how much of an impact Colleen made on our wedding day. She got to know my husband & I during our engagement session and she made us feel so comfortable ...
and relaxed throughout the whole process. I felt so at ease when she walked in the door on the day of our wedding & had tears in my eyes when it was time for her to leave. She captured every moment of our day perfectly. When I look back at our photos I can feel what I was feeling in that moment just by looking at them. On top of being a truly exceptional photographer, Colleen is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. She is a beautiful person who truly cares for the people she's photographing. She will not only be your wedding photographer, she will be your friend.

the one thing I never worried about throughout the entire process. Colleen not only helped me figure out issues with other parts of the wedding, but gave me words of encouragement and was always so positive. Colleen makes everyone feel comfortable while making sure her clients get exactly what they want in their pictures. She is by far one of the most talented, kind, goofy, and entertaining photographers out there. Booking her for any event will be one of the best decisions you will make. She will not disappoint!

ecision of our wedding (minus the actually getting married part!). She was easy to talk to, worked with us to help us make decisions about what was best, made our guests and us feel at ease and calm, and even came up with a plan for how to include my parents and family (who were in a different country due to COVID) in the pictures (via ipad)! Plus her pictures were absolutely beautiful and captured our day perfectly. I particularly like how she captured all those fun, non-posed pictures. Thank you so much Colleen!!

ound her that really enhanced us as a couple. None of the photos she took looked cheesy, had terrible filtering, or any of the other faux pas that you see in some wedding photos. I feel that the value she provided with her service isn't comparable. I cannot recommend Colleen enough!

every photo. We didn't have the first clue about what we wanted out of photos, but Colleen worked with us and suggested so many great places and ideas. She did both our engagement and main day photos. We got our final wedding and reception photos back and I can't stop looking at them. She is truly awesome and I would recommend her a million times over!!

ade it a priority to understand what my vision was for our wedding photos and she captured every special moment and then some. I have used Colleen as my photographer for multiple occasions now and have recommended her to many family and friends who have hired her and also been absolutely thrilled with her work. wedding day. My husband and I just got married 2 weeks ago, so we don't have our photos back yet, but I have absolutely no doubt that they are going to be amazing. Colleen showed us a few on her camera as we were being photographed and they looked lovely. Colleen is also super responsive to emails, she is willing to meet in-person before the wedding, she's organized, and overall just great. Get in contact with her!
Colleen did an amazing job! She was very easy to work with, had a positive attitude, very accommodating and fun! We received many compliments by our guests about her!

best vendor we hired!" On our wedding day we became quickly overwhelmed and drained, but Colleen kept perking us up and making us laugh! Her energy is off the charts! Our photos have turned out absolutely beautiful and we have received so many compliments on them! Guests have also commented on what a nice person she was! Colleen was worth every penny.

g both sessions she was happy to take the lead positioning us where we needed to be to get best lighting and settings. when we wanted something she was happy to work that in as well. We were shocked by the Toledo market pricing for photographers but she was very reasonable and we got our money's worth.

mmend her for your wedding
Colleen shot both my engagement pictures and my wedding last weekend. She is easily one of the warmest, friendliest people I have ever met and has a way of truly making you feel at...
ease. I hate having my picture taken, but Colleen works earnestly to ensure you're comfortable and to capture timeless, flattering shots. My family and friends had nothing but great things to say about her, and her second shooter, at our wedding, noting how she managed to be EVERYWHERE but not in your way at all, all at the same time. Colleen is professional, attentive, and goes way beyond the call of duty. She even came to our rehearsal to snag some shots, and played a huge part in keeping me calm the day of the wedding. I am confident I will be just as pleased with our wedding pictures as I was with our engagement pictures.
Colleen was absolutely amazing to work with. I live in NY but got married in Ohio and from the beginning of our communication, she went out of her way to make sure we were on the ...
same page. We had an introductory skype call to "meet" each other and from then on, I knew she would be great.
We have a large family and had a lot of people in our bridal party an she took time to learn all the "VIP's". She knew everyone's name and made everyone feel totally comfortable and at ease.
It was clear that she was genuinely excited to be part of our celebration all day. She brought a second shooter with her who was equally enthusiastic and easy to work with. She was not invasive at all but I am certain she captured all of the great shots of the day!
I found myself asking her questions throughout the day that were beyond her expertise (like how should we cut the cake) and she answered all of my queries no hesitations!
I have a feeling when I am next home I'll be calling Colleen just to get coffee and say hello. She truly makes you feel like a long lost friend and I'm so glad she was able to capture our special day!
Colleen is awesome!

ss and artistic at the same time. I didn't see a camera in my face at all and yet some of the pictures she's given me so far are brilliant. She works with other vendors extremely well which is a huge help so you don't have to do the coordinating.
She has been used by several of my friends and family members and I recommend her to everyone!
Look at her portfolio if you need more evidence :)
