Clara's Groovy Deliciousness

to warn other brides against using this business, especially because several other reviews look oddly similar to what we experienced. First off, for the tasting, we had to change the date day-of due to a “burst pipe” at their shop. The whole excuse and eventual arrival of the tasting a few days later felt off,  but we loved the product so moved forward.  The night of the rehearsal dinner, the cake was several hours late and once it arrived (after dinner was over!!) it was totally messed up and Samirah claimed she had been in a car wreck on the way. The creative elements which were supposed to look like me and the groom were genuinely so poorly done that we got a good laugh out of it. Normally I’d never question the reason for the cake itself being lopsided, icing gone, and partially crushed, but I see she’s used the car crash excuse several times in other reviews. For our wedding cake the following evening, it was nothing close to what we ordered and looked awful. I actually question how she can produce such beautiful products online, considering what we witnessed in real life. I would certainly not recommend this business and caution other brides against doing so!

o personal and fun. My fiancé and I filled out a flavor profile questionnaire and received a custom tasting box. I made the tasting into a little event at home with my parents and a friend. I almost skipped vanilla altogether (I’m a chocolate girl), but Samirah suggested including a few vanilla options and I’m so glad she did. We ended up choosing vanilla bean cake with vanilla bean buttercream, plus a layer of dark chocolate sea salt ganache and a layer of crunchy toffee bits. The outside was finished in rich ganache. I let Samirah surprise me with the cake design because I love her creative style, and she did not disappoint. The cake featured hand-painted dried pears and wildflowers — truly stunning and full of personality. Seeing it for the first time on our wedding day felt like such a special, joy-filled moment. I received so many texts afterward from guests saying how amazing the cake was many took extra slices home. From the tasting to the consultation and the setup on the day of the wedding, Clara’s was thorough, reliable, and a joy to work with. It truly became one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding planning process. I also got some custom Love Crunch, which we designed together — the flavor profile and name. I’d never tried Love Crunch before, I'm not a big sweeet flavor popcorn person, but now I’m hooked. It was perfectly crunchy, not full of kernels, and beautifully balanced in flavor (coffe toffee caramel chocolate sea salt). It made the perfect, stress-free welcome gift for our out-of-town guests (and would be just as great for thank-yous or bridal party gifts). Clara’s is my go-to for sweets — they make everything feel special, personal, and absolutely delicious. 💛

e to comment to my MIL about those cakes and ask over and over again about where they came from. Beyond that, the delivery service to get the cakes to me was hit by a car on it's way to me. Samirah jumped in a rideshare and came all the way to NJ from PA to get us the cakes. I can't say enough about the level of service and the taste/presentation.

eative ideas and flavors from the tasting experience to the wedding day. We devoured our tasting box, making so many fun flavor combinations. Then, on our wedding day, she surprised us by delivering three gorgeous cakes that fit the colors and vibes of the day. They were incredible!! And when we said we hadn’t had any cake, she went above and beyond to ensure we had cake delivering cake jars with our wedding cake flavors. Samirah is so easy to work with and super responsive, but most importantly, the cakes are delicious!
