CJ's Off the Square

cess was seamless, organized, and transparent. The entire team took so much of the stress out of planning, allowing us to simply enjoy the excitement leading up to our wedding. Kaya was our wedding planner, and she was absolutely incredible to work with. She was professional, kind, attentive, and made sure our wedding day ran flawlessly from start to finish. Every vendor was fantastic, and our guests couldn't stop raving about the food! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with the perfect intimate atmosphere we were looking for. Months later, our friends and family are still talking about what an amazing wedding it was. We are so grateful to everyone at CJ's Off the Square for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

e was absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere was stunning; our guests couldn't stop complimenting the space. It was the perfect place for a garden party wedding! I can't recommend Sidney, her team, and this venue enough. Our wedding day was planned to perfection thanks to her and her team. Thank you for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be!

ould have asked for. She made the process easy and fun and made sure there were no issues on the wedding day. It was truly flawless and I will be on cloud 9 from that day for the rest of my life. CJ’s is beautiful, intimate, and romantic. It was everything we wanted and more. They hire out to different vendors who were all incredible. The food, bartenders, and DJ exceeded our expectations, and we already expected them to be great. My only complaint is that I had way too much fun and I missed so much decor we picked out! I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone I know planning a wedding.

s and family said this was the best wedding they have ever been to- from the wedding cake, to the staff, to the food…CJs gave us the best night of our lives. We had the pleasure of having Kaya as our wedding planner and she is WONDERFUL. She was so professional, supportive, and in the chaos of planning a wedding, she made everything so seamless and enjoyable. The best in the business!!!

ized, clear, and thoughtfully designed to make planning easy, stress-free, and truly enjoyable. We never felt overwhelmed, and the team kept us perfectly on track without ever making the process feel rushed. The end result was beyond anything we could have imagined. The garden setting is absolutely stunning, the food was fantastic, and the DJ kept the entire evening flowing effortlessly. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful and seamless everything felt. But the true standout of our experience was our planner, Leah. She was an absolute dream to work with—warm, responsive, and incredibly skilled. She handled every detail with grace and made the entire day feel calm, organized, and joyful. Because of her, we were able to be fully present and soak in every moment without a single worry. We truly could not recommend CJ’s Off the Square highly enough. If you want a gorgeous venue, an exceptional team, and a wedding day that feels effortless and unforgettable, this is the place.

wedding day - every moment was perfect!! When I tell you there was none of the typical “wedding planning stress” when it came to CJ’s, I mean it! Our wedding planner, Sidney, was amazing, and we couldn’t have picked anyone better ourselves. The “all inclusive” wedding venue was the best decision we could’ve made. Our wedding at CJ’s Off the Square was a dream come true, a real life fairytale wedding, and we’ve talked about how perfect our day was everyday since! The amount of compliments we’ve received from our guests that it was truly the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to, we can’t even begin to count! We would pick CJ’s a million times over again!! This venue is EVERYTHING!

s that was truly invaluable. Would definitely recommend CJ's!

ry prepared for the wedding day! It went so smooth and every detail was so thought out. We couldn’t have done it without Sidney and the CJs team! - Caroline and Justin

e of every detail both before and the day of the wedding; leaving us free to visit with family/friends and enjoy the day. Her recommendations were so helpful and enhanced our vision for the event. Leah and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything was just so and they made sure the evening was happily memorable! We are so grateful to CJ's and especially to Leah for a magical evening!

ive, communicative, understanding, and compassionate throughout the entire experience. The most standout quality of CJ’s Off the Square was the service— the wedding day was an absolute dream. The staff was over-the-top accommodating, efficient, and professional. They executed every part of the rehearsal and day-of with precision. Every member of their team was kind. They treated me, our families, our guests, and the bridal party as if we were royalty. They kept the flow of the evening going without feeling rushed or stressed, and my friends and family have not stopped raving about the incredible time that they had. The historic house is absolutely beautiful— the groom’s suite (wine cellar) and bridal suite are classic and timeless. And the vendors that they have strategically chosen to partner with (Sara Curtiss; Petite Petal// DJ Moose// bakedinnashville// beyond details// the bartenders) are wildly talented. Our DJ even checked on us and offered to bring us a drink during dinner service— which seems like such a small gesture, but truly embodies the mission statement of CJ's. We will never forget this day and these wonderful people who made our dream wedding a reality. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!! -Susan and Cody Hudson (10/12/25)

endations, questions we asked and tiny details she made sure were perfect - we couldn't have asked for a better experience with Leah! She was always SO king and accommodating to our schedules and made sure we stayed on track with all of the details leading up to our special day. The whole entire CJs team (even though we didn't get to meet all of them) was just spectacular it was the best weekend of our lives and we couldn't have done it without Leah and the support of the amazing team! Highly recommend having your wedding or special event at CJs and know that you are in VERY good hands with Leah. :)

f!!! Highly recommend! 🤍

emporarily living in Arkansas while she was finishing Grad School when they became engaged. She knew she wanted a small, intimate wedding in the South but not necessarily in a barn. She started looking for venues online and found CJ's Off the Square on the Knot. She fell in love with the pictures and from being out of state, wanted an all-inclusive venue. Since she was out of State, she had a zoom meeting with Sidney. The one thing that stood out for me as the mother of the bride was that before she could sign a contract, she had to visit the venue in person, so there weren't any surprises on her wedding day. On a cold and rainy day in November we flew to Franklin to look at the venue. The only surprise was that it was more beautiful in person. It was exactly what she had wanted. During the entire process, Sidney was wonderful. She was thorough in all the details of what was included and what was not as well as offering ideas and suggestions. She was always prompt in responding to the many questions we had, and my daughter never felt "out of the loop". I loved the tasting event. The food was delicious, and she ended up choosing an entree she wasn't thinking of at first. I was impressed that you chose 2 entree selections rather than the standard each guests picks one entree. I received nothing but compliments about the food. Several guests told me that at most weddings, they end up having to get something to eat afterwards because there was not enough food. The portions were more than enough. Her wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. There were no glitches. The bridal party did get ready there with hair and makeup done onsite. This was a great option and made the day less hectic. It rained most of the day. But to my amazement, my daughter did not say a single word about the rain. It cleared about an hour before the ceremony. I asked my daughter the next day how she stayed so calm while it was raining. She said without hesitation, she was not worried at all. She knew that there was a backup plan if needed and she wasn’t concerned. Wow! That says a lot about the confidence that she had in this venue. I am still receiving compliments about the wedding. I cannot recommend Cj’s highly enough. It was perfect.

ed vendors we used for the few things not included in the package were fantastic as well. We received so many compliments about the venue, food, flowers done by Petite Petal, and overall evening! We absolutely recommend Sidney and CJ's Off the Square.

arly Kaya Faison who made us feel so respected and cared for through the whole process. CJs makes it all so painless, from the food, to the music, the service staff, the cake, the decor selection and set up, and even creating custom signage for us. We highly recommend this venue.

rocess and had the best time. If we could do it all over again, I would be CJ’s in a heart beat! 100000/10 recommend!!!!

organization, professionalism, and warmth helped us feel confident every step of the way. On our wedding day, the entire staff was amazing—everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy each moment. Even when we had to switch to the rain plan for dinner, the team executed it beautifully, and we loved how it turned out. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience!

special—lush greenery, blooming florals, and a magical atmosphere that felt like it was straight out of a fairytale. Our wedding planner, Leah was great to work with. From our first meeting to the final send-off, she handled every detail with care, creativity, and professionalism. She was organized, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care about making our vision come to life. It made the planning process not only smooth but truly enjoyable. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Our guests are still raving about it! From the beautifully presented appetizers to the perfectly cooked entrees and delicious cake, every bite was great. It wasn’t just wedding food; it was restaurant-quality dining in a breathtaking setting. Our DJ, Moose was awesome. He read the room perfectly, kept the energy up all night, and had everyone on the dance floor. The transitions between songs were seamless, and he even incorporated a few special requests that made the night feel uniquely ours. The music created such a fun, joyful vibe—we couldn’t have asked for better. The whole experience—from the tranquil garden ceremony to the vibrant, unforgettable party—was beyond what we imagined. If you’re looking for a venue that goes above and beyond, with a top-tier planner, phenomenal food, and a DJ that brings the party to life, this is it. Truly a five-star experience all around!

through them was such a relief and made the planning process so enjoyable. Our wedding was personalized to us without the stress of coordinating numerous vendors. Our guests loved everything being in one space and raved about the food (especially the macaroni and cheese). Even with some rain, CJs managed everything seamlessly so I could just enjoy the day. Leah was patient and responsive to all my emails. Could not recommend more highly!

nths making the planning manageable, and when the week came, the venue had every detail planned out. The staff are fabulous, so helpful and kind. Even my photographer said this was her favorite venue. Can’t recommend enough and so grateful for our experience 💕

ceremony outside in the garden in between. (The rain plan is also beautiful, facing the garden.) Contrary to what I expected, the planning process was stress-free because of CJ's almost-all-inclusive, clear process. At all scheduled decision-making meetings, our wedding coordinator Leah was consistently professional, responsive, and kind. When making a decision with her on setup, menu choices, menu cards, cake, DJ, bartending, all your decisions are already included, so there is no added cost. (You can choose upgrades, but there is no pressure to do so.) The menu tasting night was fabulous--like we were guests at our own event--and gave us confidence that the meal was going to be a highlight (it was!). Venues always ask about dietary restrictions, but CJ's follow-through was above and beyond. One of our guests with severe food allergies confessed to me afterwards that she assumed she wouldn't be able to eat--but she was met at her reception table by a staff member with a clipboard who re-asked all the food allergy questions, bringing her a special plate, and for that reason she felt confident and was able to enjoy dinner. The plating, linen and glassware options are plentiful. Our photographers said CJ's was their favorite venue for photos--so many unique settings within the garden and house. The champagne wall at the reception was a lovely addition. The chandeliers under the pavilion make for romantic, elevated reception photos. The DJ (included) was outstanding and the Zoom meetings with him were informative and helpful; he did exactly what the bride and groom asked for, and the reception energy was impressive. Our florist was Petite Petal from CJ's short list of florists they love, and Sara delivered a Monet-themed extravaganza that went above and beyond. The air conditioning in the bridal suite and groom's wine cellar works very well--I was worried beforehand! The staff brought out cold towels when it got hot, and our guests loved that thoughtful touch. Zero regrets; CJ's has SO many advantages. Many of our guests gushed during and after about the beauty of the venue and professionalism of the staff. Thank you CJ's, for making our Franklin hometown wedding everything we wanted it to be.

ithout their help. Our day was everything we hoped it would be, and our guests LOVED the venue as much as we did!

at ease and offloaded so much planning off of us, and became our friend in the process. As two busy healthcare professionals, this was a huge gift to us. From the delicious food; to the beautiful garden venue; to the amazing, communicative, and friendly staff, my husband and I loved every part of the planning process and wedding. Thank you! We will rave about it for the rest of our lives together.

ce to anyone who is searching for a stress free planning process and an even more stress free wedding day!

re able to actually enjoy the process instead of being stressed :)

nd intimate space that created the perfect backdrop for our special day. The team at CJ’s was incredibly professional, organized, and easy to work with. They provided a wide array of beautiful decor options, including gorgeous chandeliers, luxurious table linens, and elegant china, allowing us to personalize every detail to our taste. Our wedding planner, Sidney, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her expertise and attentiveness made the planning process so smooth and stress-free. We truly had the wedding of our dreams, and we owe so much of that to the incredible team and space at CJ’s Off the Square. If you’re looking for a venue that will bring your vision to life and exceed all expectations, look no further!

h, full of life, and perfectly maintained, with hidden pockets that provide the most picturesque moments. Every corner radiates southern charm and elegance, creating a magical atmosphere that felt straight out of a storybook. What truly made our experience extraordinary was our wedding planner, Sidney. She guided us through the entire planning process with such grace and ease, ensuring every detail reflected our vision. Sidney is an absolute delight to work with—warm, kind, and incredibly organized. She made us feel like we had a friend with our best interests at heart. Having her by our side on the wedding day alleviated stress; and allowed us to enjoy our special day. CJ’s Off the Square is truly a hidden gem in the charming town of Franklin, TN. If you’re looking for a venue that offers charm, great service, and an intimate experience, we wholeheartedly recommend CJ’s and the wonderful Sidney. Thank you for making our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be!

n and CJs off the square. We had a six month engagement and people always asked "how are you planning a wedding in six months??" "Are you so extremely stressed??" "how is it going to come together in six months?" and the answer was "Its possible because of our venue." I was never stressed throughout my entire wedding planning process. CJ's off the square was the PERFECT venue and CJ Dickson was the BEST. She handled everything. I was stress free the entire time. CJ was delightful to work with, she is so organized and you can tell she is truly an expert. The venue is absolutely stunning and the food is delicious! The staff was so kind and on top of everything. The day could not have been more smooth. If I had to do my wedding all over again, I would pick CJs off the square again and again. I cant recommend this venue enough. 1000/10.

dreamt of a wedding venue with a pond and outdoor ceremony in a garden… and CJ’s literally had every aspect of my vision! The fact that CJ’s had everything in one place was perfect. Getting ready in the beautiful house, having the ceremony in the gorgeous garden, followed by cocktail hour and the reception in the covered pavilion flowed so nicely and our guests loved the convenience of everything! Our guests also still comment to this day about how lovely our wedding was and how gorgeous the venue was! In addition to the incredible venue, Sidney went ABOVE AND BEYOND as our planner! We live out of state and I am very type A. Sidney never once made me feel like I was asking too many questions, sending too many emails or requesting too many phone calls. Sidney was so attentive and knew the venue, timeline, etc. like the back of her hand. I felt so at ease knowing that she had everything under control. I had so many questions about logistics and Sidney was always a step ahead, explaining how she/the staff already had that handled so I didn’t have to do anything on my wedding day! From packing up the bridal suite, to setting up ALL of the decor, to packing a to-go box of our cake and treats - Sidney and the staff did it all! I felt so relaxed and able to enjoy every moment of our wedding day! Sidney also made us feel like our wedding day was just as important to her as it was to us! We had so much fun every step of the way with Sidney - from creating my wedding Pinterest board to seeing the details come alive on our wedding day - Sidney was there every step of the way with a smile, encouragement and happiness. The experience at CJ’s is much more than just having your wedding at their venue. From the meetings with your planner, their fabulous menu tasting event, vendor recommendations, communication, the continually updated and detailed wedding day timeline created by your planner… every step was exactly what I had hoped for during my wedding era! (Note - I chose to be hands-on because that is my personality, however, if I had a busy job or chose to be less involved, Sidney would have knocked it out of the park and done it all with minimal effort on my end. That is the beauty of booking at CJ’s and having Sidney as your planner. YOU get to choose how involved you’d like to be and you can simply trust your planner and the staff to make the rest happen!). My husband and I can wholeheartedly say that CJ’s off the Square was the venue and experience of our dreams! Our wedding day was our favorite day EVER! You will not be disappointed when choosing CJ’s off the Square - especially if you have Sidney as your planner!!

idney. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was personalized, answered all of my questions promptly, and our wedding day was truly flawless. We had a bit of rain during cocktail hour and staff was quick to move our guests inside as needed. The food was amazing (from the hot chicken bites to the late night tater tots) - and our pictures in the garden turned out perfect (Harp & Olive). The house and garden are out of a storybook. We are thankful to have found such a wonderful and caring venue!

with her assistance along the way. The venue was the perfect combination of sweet and down to earth that turns into an elegant, dreamy space for a wedding. We loved the soft feel of a garden wedding, but turned it up a notch with our black and white, modern touch that allowed us to have our own personal touch on this space. If you are wanting an outdoor wedding, just outside of Nashville, this is your place.

. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, especially with the recent renovations! Would highly, highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful Tennessee garden wedding venue!

mention the ease of the all inclusive package! I had such a specific vision for the wedding, but CJ and her team managed to bring it to life flawlessly! I was in awe of how smooth and stress free our big day was thanks to their amazing staff. It’s been two weeks and we keep saying the same thing over and over: Our wedding was perfect!

from the planners (Brette and Allison), to CJ herself, and all of the vendos they reccomended. I wasn’t worried a out a thing in their hands, and the day was truly magical!

tire planning process so easy! We felt supported every step of the way, and our actual wedding day went so smoothly. Shout out to Sydney, best wedding planner ever!

eir process/organization, staff, food, and the vendors included/recommended... Unbelievable experience! This made our year of engagement so enjoyable, and not an ounce of wedding planning stress. Sidney, our planner, was an angel on earth and so incredible at her job! I highly recommend this venue and their people!

e was a team of experts to help us along the way. We got so many compliments from the guests about the food, atmosphere and service. DJ moose was amazing and we felt so taken care of the entire day. Highly highly recommend this team

ing over zoom, as neither of us lived in the area. As someone that has been intimately involved in planning 3 wedding at this point, I can say that CJs made it as easy as possible to do this remote planning. Sidney came prepared to meetings to discuss open items. She presented options for table scapes, vendors, and rental items. She also helped to form the overall vibe of the wedding and suggested different items that helped fit that vision. She wasn’t pushy, and from my point of view did not try to over sell anything. The day of coordination was also great, which I can attest to because as the MOH I wasn’t running around like a chicken with my head cut off doing last minute prep. Overall it was a great experience, and if anyone is on the fence about working with the team, I hope this positive review speaks for itself.

lot of compliments on the venue, the location, the food, and the staff, and from my perspective, they were all well-deserved. For brides looking for a lovely, intimate garden venue, CJ’s is worth the cost!

self went so smoothly and we were able to enjoy ourselves stress free. We have received so many compliments on the venue, food, cake, DJ, and the list goes on! I recommend CJ's to anyone looking more a more intimate venue in the Nashville area!

Nashville area during our engagement, Sidney provided us with the vendors she trusts and every single one ended up great! She was a great resource and kept us on track. As for the actual wedding day, this is where I think CJ’s, Sydney, and the rest of the staff shine. From the rehearsal the day before to the sparkler exit, everything is organized and well planned. There was not a single time where I had to worry about where something was or how things were running. I can’t even imagine not having the CJ’s team there because it allowed my husband and I to truly enjoy our wedding day and soak in what we had planned for the past few months as oppose to worrying about the details. CJ’s is a well oiled machine and it shows. They know exactly what they are doing and are ready for anything that gets thrown their way. Yes, the venue is stunning and quaint with the garden, pond, and historic house, but it is truly the wonderful people you’re paying for. They are awesome! And made our wedding day such a hit! A few moments I want to call out: - Sydney helping to bustle my wedding dress. It was complicated and after my mother, MOH, and husband were struggling to find all the hooks, Sydney swooped in and saved the day! - The service staff were exemplary. I know one of my young guests loved the fried green tomatoes and befriended one of the servers to get as many as she could. This tied to the bar staff whipping up a mock tail so that she could feel like the adults, made her first wedding a blast. She still talks about how much fun she had 6 months later! - Sydney keeping an eye on our young guests and feeding the fish in the pond for them. - Sydney brought my husband and I a side of chimichurri sauce during dinner because we loved it during the tasting, but ended up not getting it. It was such a pleasant surprise! - DJ Scott! He is so much fun and handles the speeches/music flawlessly. Cannot recommend him enough! - The rest of staff making me and my now husband feel comfortable and at ease during the whole day. I did not need to worry about when the flowers were coming or if the tables were set. When waiting to walk down the aisle, they gave me reassurance to take a deep breath and then fluffed my dress. I truly just needed to show up and be present on one of the most important days of my life. And at the end of the day isn’t that all you want for your wedding day? A huge thank you to Sydney and the staff at CJ’s! While I don’t remember all the names of everyone there that day, you all made our day so special. Thank you!

ll thanks to our planner Sidney. From the initial tour to the very end of the wedding, she was there to make everything flow smoothly. She was so lovely to work with, was quick to respond to any questions we had and made us feel so comfortable along the entire process. The idea of planning and coordinating a wedding is so daunting. I am amazed at how seamless all the planning and the big day went. We made incredible memories, ate delicious food and cake, clean plates all around. We topped it with dancing the night away with our awesome DJ Desmond. If we could do it all again, we wouldn't change a thing!
