CHCM was recommended to us by our wedding venue and bringing Kate in was one of the best decisions we made in the process! She was able to take my thoughts and inspiration and run...
with them to create the florals of my dreams.
When I had a last minute add of candles to my order she was able to accommodate and provide what was needed. Kate helps us achieve the vibe and the feel we wanted for our day and I cannot thank her enough for everything that she did.
We hired CHCM because we wanted local, seasonal flowers that would suit our September wedding. We also wanted to work with someone that grew some of their own flowers, and Kate fit...
the bill perfectly! Everything turned out beautifully, and we adored our flowers.
We did personal bouquets, a floral arch, floral pocket squares, and bud vases / greenery for the tables. Working with Kate was fantastic, and she suggested some fun ideas (like the floral pocket squares) that we loved. She also uses bronze cuffs for corsages, which is so much more polished and pretty than elastic bands. All the flowers on the day of were beautiful, vibrant, joyful, and were exactly what we wanted. We also asked for a more natural look, which Kate nailed.
Another great feature of Kate is that she doesn't use floral foam and reuses a lot of her items! Since we composted leftover flowers at our house, we only had a tiny bit of trash that was actually thrown away at the end. We are so pleased with how everything went and can't recommend Kate enough!
We could not recommend Kate more highly! Once we started working with Kate, we could relax about our flowers and know we were in good hands. We wanted something natural looking and...
sustainable and also beautiful and Kate delivered on all of that and more. Flowers were really our only decoration at our wedding and we loved what Kate put together and we got so many compliments from our guests and everyone who sees our pictures. In addition to turning our ideas into beautiful arrangements, Kate worked with all of our requests and made everything easy and fun.
Go with Kate for your flowers and you can happily check that item off your list of concerns!
Kate was an absolute dream florist to work with! First and foremost, her practices aligned with our hopes for a locally-sourced, sustainable, and seasonal wedding. She took time to...
get to know us, our style, and vision for our wedding, and went above and beyond to bring our vision to life in the most thoughtful ways. Her attention to detail blew us away and the florals truly made our winter wedding a dream come true. Kate is so kind, creative, and patient, and I would choose to work with her again and again. I will send any friends with floral needs her way!
Kate was a dream to work with!!! Our wedding flowers were stunning. I gave Kate a few inspiration photos, and she seriously nailed it! She went above and beyond on our wedding day...

when it came to our wedding day flowers/greenery and she came up gorgeous designs, colors, and ideas. She approaches events with great care and safety during these pandemic times which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommend working with her for any floral/design needs!
Kate was an absolute dream to work with! We knew from the beginning of our planning process that we wanted to work with her because of her incredible artistry and focus on sustaina...
bility. We had to make several changes due to COVID and each time we made a change she was incredibly accommodating. She perfectly executed the vision we had for our flowers. I think I mentioned a few of our favorite flowers in our initial meeting as things I'd love to have, but knew it might be difficult due to our budget and flower availability. Somehow, Kate made magic happen and those dream items were incorporated into our arrangements. I wish I lived in St. Louis so that I could use Kate for all of our floral needs, but for now I'll sing her praises from the rooftops and send every St. Louis bride I know her way.
Every bride would be LUCKY to have Kate and CityHouse CountryMouse do their wedding florals! My bouquet was everything I could’ve dreamed of and more. I’m not the greatest as descr...
ibing what I wanted for my wedding flowers but Kate so expertly got to know me and intuitively created my vision perfectly. Her communication skills and accessibility were impressive. She made me feel like her only client in a season that was arguably one of the busiest. She was so flexible on my changing numbers for the wedding and even created a very special way for my loved ones from afar to feel celebrated and included in our wedding. She is beyond talented and passionate about what she does and that comes out in every arrangement she puts together! I absolutely cannot wait to support her in all my future floral needs.
We hired City House Country Mouse for our wedding florals. While I hope to ever get married again- I would book with Kate a hundred times over! Her work is amazing and she is one o...
f the kindest people I’ve ever met. She was so helpful throughout the entire process. I loved getting to chat to her and never wanted our phone calls to end.
Kate was even kind enough to work in a few of our own flowers from our little urban garden into our bouquet out into my husband’s boutonnière. It’s was such a such a special touch and something I’ll remember forever. She was so patient in giving flower harvesting tips to my veggie gardening self! Thank you, Kate!
We chose to work with City House Country Mouse because we wanted to use flowers that were local, seasonal, and sustainable. However, because the flowers were seasonal and local, we...
weren't able to plan in advance exactly which flowers would be in the bouquets -- it would depend on what was blooming near the time of our wedding. That left me feeling a little bit nervous, but there was absolutely no reason to worry. Kate crafted our floral vision beautifully -- and she did so even though I had trouble articulating exactly what I wanted! She is magic!! She was a true joy to work with, easy to contact, and went above and beyond what we could have hoped for for our wedding. I can't recommend her enough!!
Kate knocked our wedding florals out of the park! We originally hired her for a larger celebration which we've had to postpone due to covid, but we asked her to do some florals for...
our intimate family-only ceremony this year and she truly delivered. We gave her a color palette and told her to choose whatever was local and available and she could not have done a better job. Her work elevated our backyard wedding to a festive occasion. We can't wait to see what she does for our larger celebration next year!
Kate is committed to both her clients and to the slow flower movement. Her philosophy aligned with our vision for a local, seasonal, and sustainable wedding. Covid restrictions req...
uired a major pivot in the wedding planning, which Kate accommodated. She not only executed the original design, but also responded to a late-in-the-game request for flowers and plants to make our downsized and socially-distanced gathering more festive. We appreciated her efforts to help ensure a semblance of both normalcy and charm. In her gracious expression of thanks for entrusting her with the floral design, she acknowledged that our choice helped to "support five local flower farmers, a local flower wholesaler, and a local garden shop." During this time when community support is vital, we appreciated that Kate provided us with this opportunity and affirmation.
Kate from City House Country Mouse was truly a queen and life saver when it comes to flowers for my wedding. I met Kate maybe 9 months before my wedding and loved everything she st...
ood for at that first meeting. Her passion for sustainability aligned with mine and there was so much I didn't know about the industry. Kate was so knowledgeable and helpful. Then covid hit. There was so much Kate had to overcome to keep her business afloat and thriving. Two months before my wedding she reached out realizing we never signed a contract officially but she saved my butt because I wanted to work with her so badly. We made it official. Then last minute a had some changes and Kate was more than helpful! She was so insightful and so willing to help me create my vision of creating my DIY bridesmaids bouquets. Then my wedding was perfect. My bridal bouquet was GORGEOUS. My DIY bridal bouquets were beautiful as well. So grateful I chose Kate as my florist. 10/10 would recommend.
Kate truly made our flower vision come to life for our rehearsal happy hour and wedding day. As all 2020 brides know, planning a wedding during a pandemic is tough, but having flex...
ible vendors is what made everything work out in the end. We had to shift our plans a million times, but Kate pulled through for us.
My favorite part of our flowers was that everything was locally sourced without compromising on beauty. Kate listened to everything we said and put it all into the arrangments. We even used plants that we could replant after the wedding weekend so we have a lasting memory of our amazing day.
Finally, I loved that every time we talked on the phone it felt like catching up with a friend :)
Kate did a fantastic job for my wedding bouquet! I wanted something in season, locally grown, and a mix of colors and she delivered. I would highly recommend working with her.

She built a gorgeous arch with two large sprays for us to marry under, as well as some smaller table arrangements.
She was easy to reach and very responsive by email. She responded to our budget limits and did a great job of listening to both my mother and I (who do not agree much of the time) and managing both of our expectations. She's super laid back and professional.
Her prices were also much more reasonable than other small city-based operations.
Hire her!

tion and she took it from there. From the first meeting to the morning of the wedding, everything was easy and smooth. From the bouquets to the floral arrangements on table, they were perfect. She was able to take my vision, colors and my idea of nothing too fussy, and bring it to life. I love that Kate uses local flowers, it was important for us to ensure our wedding day was sourced as locally as possible from food to the flowers. Thank you Kate for making our day even more beautiful and memorable!

ful, and dedicated. Kate was available for feedback and advice through the entire process and put together beautiful centerpieces, entryway, and garland for our outdoor winery reception. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect and spent time meeting with us to make sure that our vision was realized. She is also very knowledgeable about flowers and plants. I was happy that she was able to take my vision and run with it, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. She was prompt on the day of the event and had everything set up and ready to go and was there at the end to break everything down. I felt very comfortable with the entire process and really enjoyed working with Kate!

very responsive, pleasant and well organized. Based on the specifications provided, Kate prepared several options for me to review and choose from which quickly calmed my "bride-to-be again" nerves. When I arrived to the venue, I walked in to see the most beautiful arrangements ever! The table arrangements (white hydrangeas and canary yellow roses in glass cube vases wrapped with green leaves) and my bouquet (white hydrangeas and canary yellow roses with hints of green viburnum) were absolutely gorgeous!!! I could not have asked for more beautiful fresh floral arrangements! There were also floral arrangements on podiums that were on either side of where our pastor stood with white hydrangeas, snapdragons and curly willows...again, all beautifully arranged! Thank you Kate for your artistic floral touch! You made our day even more special! 💐
