About this vendor
Hi, I'm Cindy!
If wedding photos matter to you then you're in the right place.
I have been a professional wedding photographer for 15 years now! I have experience with very large weddings (400+ guests, huge wedding party, etc) as well as small, intimate weddings (we're talking less than 10 people)! I give 100% into every wedding I do and many of my clients end up using me for years and years (for family photos)!
My work is honest, emotional, joyful, and filled with love. My images have rich, vibrant color - or luminous black and whites. Each and every photo in a wedding gallery is individually edited to fit the mood of the moment.
I take a photojournalistic approach to weddings - I am constantly buzzing around capturing every moment! The moment your father sees you for the first time in a wedding dress, the look on your face and his. The moment right after you have your first kiss, walking back up the aisle as you pass by your family and friends, your smiles at one another so honest. The moment your maid of honor gives a speech so powerful that your vow to “not cry” is broken and you dissolve into happy tears.
I love seeing people love each other, how they do it, and why.
I get the shots that you want, and the shots that you need.
If this sounds like it fits your vision, check out tons more info on my website, and let's talk!
Aside from being a photographer I am also a mom to 2 wonderful boys named Jack and Nico. We love nature, baseball, and traveling. We stay busy with our 4 crazy cats - Moon, Coco, Angel, and Leo.
Cindy Lee Photography is a wedding photographer based in Ballwin, MO.

When you start planning a wedding, searching for a photographer can be so stressful. How do you find someone who can perfectly capture all the love, the people, and the energy of t...
he day? From the moment I saw Cindy's portfolio, I knew she could do all of this and more. Cindy did our engagement and wedding photos and we don't have a single regret! When we originally talked with Cindy about our engagement photos and our vision to "recreate" important dates in our relationship, she was immediately on board. She took the creative direction and totally ran with it!
Cindy is skilled at helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera, capturing candid moments, and really telling a story through photos. The pictures she takes aren't just "nice" or "pretty"- they make you feeeeeel.
Cindy is talented at working through any hiccups; she gets creative to make sure she gets "the shot". And as a vendor, she's super easy to work with- you can tell she has a lot of experience in the industry.
If you're debating working with Cindy... do it! You'll be just as happy as we are that you did.
We cannot say enough positive things about everything Cindy Lee Photography. We booked them for our wedding and Cindy and her second shooter, Brendan were on time, able to manage ...
multiple shooting locations, seemingly get perfect shots without ever being noticed, super nice to talk to and not awkward to spend time getting ready with. She was helpful and transparent during the planning phase as we were open to a lot of suggestions to make sure we got great pictures and boy, did we. We were able to get sneak peek pics very fast that held us through until we got everything back. We are absolutely amazed with the photos she was able to get and her artistic ability with editing and lighting. We love nearly every photo and will have the hardest time determining what to print. We would 100% use her again if we need future professional photos and would absolutely recommend her to anyone who like her style displayed on her website. She certainly didn’t disappoint!
We loved working with Cindy and can’t recommend her enough. We first found her after seeing an old friend’s wedding photos and were blown away by her vibrant, rich style. When we r...
eceived our own wedding preview (which she turned around incredibly fast), we honestly thought we were looking at magazine photos — we couldn’t believe it was us.
For our engagement session, she was completely open to any location we suggested, even an arcade bar. Those photos turned out so fun and unique that we ended up printing them as posters to display outside our venue. She also had great ideas for spots on our wedding day. She helped keep everything on schedule as we moved from place to place and found beautiful backdrops we never would’ve discovered on our own.
Cindy was super responsive, gave us fun prompts to help us relax since we’re not natural posers, and captured so many candid moments we’ll cherish forever. We truly loved working with her and have recommended her to everyone we know.

era. She was very easy to communicate with during the planning process and was very open to our ideas. We received so many photos which are a great mix of posed and candid moments and truly capture everything from our wedding day we hoped for and more. We are so in love with all of the photos! We would highly recommend working with Cindy, and she will definitely be our go-to for any of our photography needs in the future!
Stop your search and hire Cindy! Best vendor decision we made. My husband and I are both uncomfortable in front of the camera, but we felt so at ease with Cindy (and even had fun!)...
. Our photos came out AMAZING. We were looking for someone to capture all the candid, happy moments of the day and Cindy delivered even better than we would have hoped. Highly, highly recommend.

Cindy was absolutely amazing! She was professional, fun and organized throughout the entire process. She was quick to answer any questions we had. She made sure to follow up with ...
us before our wedding to ensure she had all the correct information and to get all the specific shots we wanted. Our package also came with the engagement shoot and I would highly suggest this especially for any couples who haven’t been professionally photographed before. It made us feel so much more comfortable with the whole process!
Once all the photos were completed and edited to perfection she sent perfect directions to view, save and print from online. She then sent us wooden and engraved usb drives with all the images! I truly could not be happier with our decision to work with Cindy and I would continue to use and recommend her for any photographer needs!
Cyndi was amazing to work with. They were able to capture the genuine love and joy.
Cindy is amazing! Beautiful photos and she is so responsive and professional!

or the wedding and she stuck out both without complaint! You’d never know based on how they all turned out. I love her editing style with the deep and vibrant colors. Not only is she amazing at what she does, was so easy to work with. She also sent the cutest personalized box with a pretty USB drive of all the pictures. I would definitely use Cindy again for any future needs.

the big day. I loved her laid back and chill vibe and she fit right in with us as we spent the day taking photos of all of our favorite locations. Not only does she have a great personality, but her photos and the moments she captures was a top reason we chose her! I love photography and Cindy has a great perspective so I knew the results would be amazing. Thanks again Cindy! We loved working with you and making our day so wonderful to look back on!

ee came highly recommended by our wedding planner, Altar’d Events. Her journalism style helped build our confidence that she would capture the spontaneous, candid moments that are so special. Cindy Lee came with an assistant, Katie, who did a fabulous job. They were always present to capture the moments without being in the way or feeling overwhelmed with posing. They were organized in completing family photos with about 30 people which is not a small task considering 13 of them were children under 11 years old. They made our wedding day so fun!! And even just a couple days after our wedding, Cindy already had a preview of shots from the day. Working with her was seamless and easy. I would recommend her to anyone in the St. Louis area.
I can’t say enough great things about Cindy! We used her for our engagement and wedding photos, each experience was wonderful. We’re an extremely awkward and non-photogenic couple ...

hotos make her work truly special. Nothing is posed or forced, just true and raw moments. Even in the sweltering heat she made us feel our best! Cindy even went above and beyond to make sure my veil was in the perfect place and that my makeup looked just right. We love that we can relive our wedding day through her photos, and we get so emotional every time we look at them. We cannot imagine our wedding day without her!
Cindy was amazing to work with and her pictures turned out better than expected! We were so pleased and she made everything so easy. Would HIGHLY recommend!

to take photos in a foot of snow because she really is the best! She captured moments of the day that felt intimate - smiles across the room, little hand squeezes, hugging your best friend before walking down the aisle, and everything in between. Her photos tell the story of the day and I am so thankful for all of the candid joy she captured. Looking through our wedding gallery felt like reliving the day. We could not be happier.

ter to take our wedding and engagement photos; and I urge anyone who is looking for a photographer to go with her. She will without a doubt be our go-to photographer for years to come. Also, on a separate note, she is so in-tune with what is going on at any given moment and so organized. Her presence made me more calm and I have nothing but great things to say about her!
I LOVE CINDY. I honestly cried when I saw our engagement pictures, because they were exactly what I wanted. She nailed it!!!! All you have to do is tell her the look you are goin...
g for and she will find the perfect setting and the most perfect poses. She also made my husband (who hates taking pictures) really come out of his shell and be in the moment with the questions she would ask during the photo shoot. She captured our pure joy!!! The wedding was this past Saturday and I know I will LOVE every single picture. She was quick, effective and so fun to work with. She is also super creative. You will NOT be disappointed!

she did just that. From the start of the day, she was punctual, organized and took charge to ensure we captured everything we would want to in the time allotted. She has an eye for capturing photos in front of beautiful colors and/or backdrops. We will forever look back at the beautiful photos and be grateful!

o captured the raw, organic, and love filled moments in a way that felt natural and true. Cindy did just that and more for us. She was reassuring, artistic, funny, and had a calming sense that made us feel so comfortable being emotional and truly in the moment around her. She captured the most beautiful and cherished memories of our life, and we couldn’t be happier with the decision to have Cindy and her talent on our wedding day. Stop searching and let her work her magic!

d wonderful memories, but we also knew there was an important way to make sure that party and those memories could be documented and eventually shared with our friends and family again and again - through pictures. Now that we are married we are so happy we made the decision to hire Cindy as our photographer. She made the entire process of engagement pictures to wedding day timelines so easy. From a very cold and damp November engagement session to 90% humidity and dripping sweat on our August wedding day, Cindy somehow managed to take some phenomenal photos and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (which is not a common thing for me). The way she made all the colors pop in every photo is absolutely stunning. Some of our favorite photos were totally unplanned - like my grandma's reaction to us entering the reception. I can hear her laugh and cheer through the picture. Or my mom and dad's smiles while my husband and I said our vows. Cindy and her team captured some very special moments that we now get to enjoy again. We are so happy with how our pictures turned out and cannot stop smiling looking through them all. One of the best decisions we made throughout the whole wedding planning process! Thank you so much Cindy!

rapher, Colleen. They both had a cheerful, wonderful, calming, and energetic presence throughout our entire wedding day! They captured every single moment and detail. We can now relive our best day forever. I picture showing my grandchildren these photos with so much pride and joy! She has an insanely talented and artful eye. She conducts every bit of her business with kindness and sincerity. Communication was a breeze. I could go on and on, just do yourself a favor and connect with her! You will not regret it.

tead of posed. She captures so much emotion, detail & natural moments, which makes her pictures truly unique ( and so much more special to me than posed/forced pictures). Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and the pictures are what you will look back on forever... and Cindy's photos reflect that. When Cindy sent us the entire wedding album, there were 1,400 pictures!! And they are ALL incredible. Every time I look at them I feel like I am reliving the entire day.
Cindy- Thank you so much for capturing so many natural moments throughout the entire day. Ive gotten so many compliments about how our pictures truly reflected how happy we were.

endors I met when I moved to St. Louis 5 years ago. Since then, I knew she would be the person to shoot my wedding. Her professionalism and personality are so perfect for a couple who is not the most photogenic, aka my husband and I. My husband is very goofy and likes to make lots of silly faces and not take things too seriously. Cindy was able to deal with my husbands silly faces with a smile and laugh. She made everyone feel so comfortable during our engagement session as well as our wedding day. I was impressed with the pictures of my husband and his groomsmen, they are not the most social people in the world and Cindy and Colleen captured so many great pictures of them! Cindy made us feel so special and comfortable in front of the camera. The relationship you have with your photographer is SO important. Photography was a very important aspect of the wedding to me. I wanted to be able to look at my pictures and be able to relive my day, Cindy did jus that. She captured beautiful moments and memories that I will cherish forever. I could stare at my pictures all day, everyday. My family and friends has raved about all of our pictures, they just can’t get enough. I can’t thank Cindy and Colleen enough for being apart of our big day, I’m so thankful I met them 5 years ago.

ic ideas on where to take photos and was INCREDIBLE at poses, lighting and editing. She made us feel very comfortable the entire day, we never felt posed or awkward. During our ceremony she was very discrete on her positioning while still getting the perfect photos. She was fantastic with shooting our formals with my large family and even getting all the kiddos to cooperate. I would trust her with any photo project and wouldn't have wanted anyone else to capture our special day. I would absolutely recommend her for any needs, especially weddings! I cannot even begin to sing enough of her praises!

e hurt from smiling when I was done looking at them all! Cindy was amazing the day of the wedding, and so was her second shooter Courtney. Both were very helpful and handled our large and very loud bridal party really well. Cindy has a real eye for capturing the small moments. As a bride you miss out on a lot of the small things during the day, and Cindy gave me the gift of seeing those moments. Her style and editing is just breathtaking. Look no further, Cindy is your girl!

ptured and edited but Cindy herself is so wonderful. She is incredibly kind, deeply passionate and makes the entire process so simple and relaxed. Looking through our wedding photos, it is very obvious that Cindy was not just there taking pictures to get paid. She was there with an open heart, capturing our moments because she genuinely cares about her clients and truly wants to create and showcase their day in a way they will cherish and love forever. I couldn't ask for anything more than what Cindy gave to us. The images felt so personal, so connected, so natural and so full of life. You would never guess that they had been taken by someone we had only met once before, but rather someone who had known us our entire life and was as invested in our marriage as our closest friends were. I cried the first, second and third time we looked though them because I was so overcome with how beautifully our day was preserved and all of the small, tiny details that she noticed that we had completely forgotten about. Wedding days go by so quickly, there are a million things happening at once and as a bride or as a groom there is so much that you miss out on, so much that you don't get to be apart of and Cindy found a way to capture every piece of it. If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding, you can go ahead and stop because Cindy is the one you want. We are forever thankful for her hard work, dedication and for the heart that she puts into her work.
Cindy was the BEST decision we made when planning for our wedding! All of her photos speak for themselves as they are not just your typical wedding photos, but much, much more. Ci...
ndy manages to capture such real and natural moments from the little details to the big ones and many candids in-between, which we will treasure for years to come! Our family and friends still rave about the wonderful job that Cindy did and have said multiple times that they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen. More than just the photos though, Cindy is the most amazing person and makes you feel at ease from the moment you meet her. You can tell that she is very passionate about her job, which is why she has such a genuine style and why we chose her. She is very organized, efficient and professional and by far the best vendor we worked with. Colleen was her second shooter and was also so amazing to work with and helped keep the guys in line! We would recommend Cindy to everyone and cannot wait to work with her again in the future!

Colleen was her second shooter at our wedding and she was not only a great photographer but also helped keep our 8-month-old flower girl entertained and looking at the camera for group photos!

authentic and unique style that really spoke to me. I knew after reviewing just a few of her photos that there was something special about Cindy. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable her prices were. I also appreciated the simplicity of her pricing structure online so I didn't have to worry about a bunch of hidden fees or "gotchas" post-wedding which brides understandably can be worried about when dealing with a sea of vendors and expenses. I trusted I was getting an honest and fair deal with Cindy.
Cindy did both our engagement and wedding photos and I was thrilled with how they all turned out. I will cherish her images forever and look forward to capturing new memories with her behind the lens as my husband and I begin to build our life together. If you want beautifully, creative photos that are unlike all the rest, do not hesitate to book Cindy Lee!!

lot of thought and special touches into every detail of our wedding day and she was able to preserve these precious memories that may have otherwise gotten away from us in all the activity. We simply relive our wedding day each time we view her photos. They tell a story that is uniquely ours and etched in our hearts for a lifetime! Her prices are reasonable and her PhotoBox gift to the bride and groom was a pleasant finishing touch. We look forward to using Cindy again for future family milestones such as pregnancy and baby photos. We highly recommend her work.

refree and fun -- which makes for the BEST pictures.
Anywhoo... My husband and I have been living in wedded bliss for exactly one month. About a week and a half after the wedding, we received a preview of about 150 photos -- which was amazing. We were able to use one of them to get our thank you cards printed and they look sooooo great!! BUT one month to the day, an email comes from Cindy with over 1000 PHOTOS!!!!!!! I'm overwhelmed with so many positive emotions right now -- every photo is perfect. Every moment captured shows all of the love and happiness that was shared on that day, from the bride and groom all the way down to the florist staff. She even scouted the neighborhood to find a darling little cupcake shop with great decor for some private, post-ceremony photos of the me and my new hubby. Cindy and Colleen are the dream team, and you don't want to miss out on having those two wonderful women capture one of your happiest days!!

We will cherish these photos for a lifetime. I can’t wait to have her capture more special moments in our life!

brides who were very picky in choosing their photographer, we trusted Cindy from the moment we saw her photos and found her on Instagram. We had our initial meeting with her and then she met with us a couple of times to make sure that she had the same vision in mind for taking our wedding photos. We also had an engagement session with her which we highly recommend! At first we were a bit nervous in front of the camera, but after a couple of pictures that all went away. Cindy has a gift for making you feel like it's all very natural. On our big day there were no nerves regarding the cameras. Our photos for our engagement session as well as the wedding turned out incredibly. We will definitely be using Cindy again in the future for smaller shoots even if we move out of St. Louis. We will travel back just to get photos from her! When given the chance, do not hesitate to trust Cindy and her team with the big task of photography for your big day. We wouldn't change a thing! She and her team not only captured the best photos of us with our wedding party and family, but they even captured photos that we will cherish forever that are just of guests before the wedding began. From her friendly personality to her talented photography skills, Cindy went above and beyond any and all expectations that we had. Cindy is a very sweet human who will get to know you and your partner and leave you with photos that you want to gift to all your friends and family. We will always highly recommend Cindy to everyone we know because she is truly the best!

When Cindy sent me our preview I realized that she captured every. single. one. of. them. I discovered that she is the master of capturing the small moments and the little details that make a wedding so perfect. She caught so many moments of laughter, tears, and joy. She took care of us. Colleen (her 2nd shooter) was also a huge delight with an incredible eye. They are the dynamic duo and you NEED them to shoot your wedding. Don't hesitate.
