Their calm and friendly presence helped us feel more comfortable on the big day and was so appreciated. Highly recommend hiring Christa Rae Photography.

rst look and the bulk of our photos prior to the ceremony. Her and Christina (her second shooter) made this experience easy, structured, and more enjoyable than we could have imagined. Her work speaks for itself, but it’s really her assuring nature that puts her over the top. We are so pleased we got to work with her and Christina and would recommend to anyone!

was lovely to work with and very easy to communicate with! She also frequently does weddings at CBBC and knew all the best spots! Highly recommend.

work with. She got terrific shots during the reception, including of a very unpredictable 2 year old. Christa is very professional and happy to work with what we asked for. We highly recommend using her to capture your special day!

We are absolutely in love with all our photos. We are so grateful to have found her to capture our engagement and wedding day. We will definitely keep her in mind for any future events we need documented. Her talent and dedication truly made our special moments even more memorable. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

my fiancé and I through our engagement and wedding pictures, putting us in cute poses and making us feel comfortable. She kept us on time at the wedding and worked very well with our vendors. She was thorough throughout the wedding day making sure we captured the shots we wanted with our family and friends. I highly recommend working with Christa!!

They blended seamlessly into the background while still managing to capture every key moment. We wholeheartedly recommend Christa to anyone looking for a wedding photographer who goes above and beyond. Her work is truly exceptional, and we are so grateful to have had her capture our wedding day.

grapher from two of our friends' weddings in 2021 and 2022. We new we wanted to book Christa as soon as we got engaged! Christa was unbelievably helpful in answering our questions and giving us ideas in terms of engagement shoot locations from the start of the process. Christa was so quick to answer all of our questions and was truly so amazing to work with! Christa beautifully captured our engagement pictures and our wedding day. She provided us with sneak peeks of our pictures within 24 hours of our engagement shoot, and 48 hours of our wedding day! That is just something you don't see very often! We would recommend Christa a million times over to any couple looking for absolutely gorgeous photos from their day!

My husband and I are the shy type and Christa made us feel at ease. Her guidance and instructions were critical to getting us the best photos possible. Her client portal is easy to use, she's incredibly communicative and organized. Christa will HUSTLE to get you the best photos possible. Our guests even commented on how many photos the photographers took and when we got the photos back, I was absolutely blown away. There were so many great shots and the family portraits are something I will cherish for a lifetime! Christa knows the best spots, the best poses, the best everything. She got every single shot I wanted and so many more that I didn't even think about. We did an engagement session to get to know her and it made the wedding photos so much more enjoyable since we knew what to expect. She really is great at her craft and we couldn't be more grateful for the work she put in to capture our wedding.

day was when Christa pulled up the creative deck I had sent her months prior and showed a photo I had on it that represented the "sentiment" I wanted to capture from that night. She said she wanted to recreate that photo and had brought special lighting and planned the moment just to make it happen. I felt so heard by Christa in the moment, and that exact photo is the wallpaper on my phone today. Christa Rae is one of the approved vendors for the Naval Academy, and she nailed keeping us on pace for that tight schedule, while still keeping the afternoon stress-free. To top it off, we went to visit my grandmother who couldn't travel to the wedding three days after the wedding, and Christa turned around an AMAZING preview package for us to show her in three days and I was totally blown away when I saw it. Christa took such care to give us an awesome amount of gorgeous photos and also made herself available that day when we had questions about access. I couldn't me more happy with Christa Rae's attentiveness, storytelling, and kindness - thank you, Christa!

eyond what we could have imagined. We love you Christa and thank you!!

a was exceptional from our first phone call through our gallery day delivery. She communicated quickly and effectively with all our questions and wonderings throughout the planning process. She instilled trust in us and handled everything with her easy-going, bubbly, and loving personality. We truly cannot recommend her enough!

ding planning. From our first phone meeting, she immediately made me feel like I was talking to a friend. She made my husband and I so comfortable and we knew we needed to hire her for our wedding day. Our wedding day was challenging. We had seven bridesmaids and groomsmen, two junior bridesmaids, three large families, with multiple photograph requests, not to mention it was the hottest day of the Summer (almost 100 degrees with 100% humidity). Christa was unphased by the challenges. From the beginning, she made the day all about us and completed all our request with the utmost professionalism and ease. I was beyond shocked that every single photo made us look radiant and glowing instead of hot and sweaty. She truly has an eye and captured the fun and beauty of our wedding. She and her associate Cat were on their feet for hours and took hundreds of pictures capturing every component of our wedding, which allowed us to look back onto memories we will treasure forever. Christa made us feel like family and like a priority. She was so kind and accommodating, and I’m still in disbelief on how perfect she made our wedding day. If you are getting married in the DMV area, do not hesitate to book Christa. She’ll capture your perfect day beautifully and make you smile every time you look at the pictures. She has a real talent to capture the happiness of a couple and I truly cannot recommend her enough.

sy to work with and communicative through the whole process. I cannot recommend her enough!

loved her energy throughout the night, and she was so helpful in our pre-wedding planning session as well. Couldn't recommend enough!!

o pose and getting everyone gathered for group pictures. She also listened to all the recommendations we had. We are very happy with all the results & our photos turned out absolutely amazing!😊

less!), to our wedding, she was calm, assured, motivating, organized, and just a wonderful human being. And her photos!! We were blown away when we received our gallery-- she captured every emotion of the day so beautifully, and we are forever grateful to have those memories. Also something important to us was that she had experience with diverse wedding parties-- she captured everyone in our wedding party perfectly and true-to-complexion (from pale to deep skin tones, nobody was washed out!). Thank you for providing us with these beautiful memories for many years to come!

availability. She answered all (of my many) questions with ease. She made me feel so comfortable speaking to a complete stranger, which I knew was a good sign! This continued throughout our time working together. Christa shot both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and they are all amazing. She made my husband and myself feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and she was able to shoot our photos so quickly! The sign of an expert. You can tell she really wants to make sure you get all the photos you want for your special occasions. I sent her an email with "inspiration" photos prior to our wedding. She was so open to reviewing them to see the types of pictures I was hoping for, and on the day of our wedding I could tell she was making it a priority to get the types of shots I liked. I should add, a lot of the inspiration photos I sent her came from Christa's own body of work. The photos on her website are absolutely representative of her style and her abilities. What you see posted there is very representative of what your gallery will look like. Christa also captured many photos on our wedding day that I would not have known to request, but I am so glad she captured them. She was able to give me pictures of my grandma that I will cherish forever, as well as wonderful candid photos of our guests that we may have missed experiencing ourselves. I also know Christa is constantly attending workshops and experiences that help her hone her craft even further, so you will absolutely be hiring a true professional who continues to work on advancing herself even further in her field. She is very responsive and easy to communicate with. I could give you countless examples of things Christa did leading up to, on, and after our wedding day that make her someone you absolutely should hire, but I will just leave it at that. You will not regret hiring her to capture your special day. I hope to work with her again in the future to document more of our life moments.

My husband and I immediately clicked with her during our engagement photo session-I felt like she really took the time to get to know us and our style. For our wedding photos-we can't stop looking at them and believing they are real! Christa's work is stunning, specifically her talent capturing the day's biggest moments. Her work truly shines at water-front venues-she really knows how to capture a beautiful sunset! I would highly recommend her as a wedding photographer!

et the photos that I wanted for the day and I would highly recommend her as a wedding photographer!

skills. We found her through our venue and it makes total sense that she is on their “Preferred Vendor” list. We did our engagement photos at a VA winery with her and right away she was able to calm our nerves about posing and direction. She knew exactly where to align us with poses, lighting, etc. She also took some wonderful detail photos with my ring, wine glasses and a wine cork. During the wedding weekend she was so helpful answering any questions about timelines and locations and worked with my venue to schedule the shoots so I really didn’t have to do any work. We had a large wedding party and wedding and she was able to navigate everything so calmly and professionally while trying to get everyone in the shots. I highly recommend Christa as a photographer! All of our photos have turned about beautifully so far!

natural, she did such a great job capturing everyone at their best. Christa was so easy to work with and professional. My husband and I immediately felt comfortable with her, and she made sure to give us helpful pointers on instructions and the best places for photos. 10/10 would recommend to anyone planning their special day.

ponded to our initial inquiry quickly, as she did with all other correspondence throughout the wedding planning process. From our first phone meeting, it was clear that Christa had a heart of gold and truly wanted to get to know us and make our wedding special! Our engagement session was lovely and allowed us to get to know her further! Leading up to the wedding, Christa helped us create a customized timeline for the events of the day which was a HUGE help and relief. Day of the wedding, Christa was early to our meeting spot and ready to roll! Throughout the day, Christa guided us through different poses and locations, leaving us with an extensive wedding collection that we will treasure forever! Her photography style is so beautiful, natural, and classic, I know these pictures will stand the test of time. Thank you, Christa, for the most amazing experience!

y themed wedding, and an unexpected thunderstorm, Christa worked miracles! If you have her by your sides’ on wedding day, there’s no worry in the world. She’s creative, impeccably skilled, thinks ahead for every shot, and makes your photo dreams come true. She truly cares about capturing your day, your theme, your love, and even your dress, in the way you imagined. And she’s a treasure of a human, who is always calm and sweet!

art of our initial call. I immediately wanted her over any other photographer when she said she does natural photos and she wants them to look timeless. Not have all these filtered photos, and 30 years from now regret anything. Christa made the process so easy, that I had absolutely no concerns going into our wedding day. Her planning skills are beyond helpful. She has a timeline down to minutes! (Very impressive) The day of our wedding, it felt like Christa was our friend taking photos with us. Christa knows our venue so well. She knew all of the secret spots to go and have photos at, I didn’t even know some of the places existed at my own venue! My husband and I had no idea what to do when it comes to posing for the photos. Christa made it all so smooth and gave directions perfectly. She wanted to make sure we had a million different photos for our memories but knew we wanted to get back to the party. She was fast, conscious. Two days after the wedding Christa gave us a sneak peek of our photos and they were absolutely stunning!! We are so excited to see the rest. I personally can contest that you should pick her as your photographer! Don’t hesitate at all. You will not regret it.

Christa capture us on the most wonderful day of our lives!

r engagement and wedding photos turned out beautifully and captured the love we had for one another. My husband and I keep reliving our day through the photographs taken and would recommend Christa to anyone! Book Christa!

fun to work with. From our engagement session to the sneak peeks we just got from the wedding- our photos are absolutely STUNNING and look natural, light, and true to color (I stay away from moody filters and prefer a more authentic editing style, just me:) Christa made a flawless timeline of our day- everything from those "getting ready" photos to the Bride and Groom Sunset photos after the ceremony so that I didn't have to worry about planning that part. She is a Rockstar. All of our guests noted how awesome she was- getting all the right shots without interrupting anything. She recommended and worked so well with our videographer, which was also really nice. I truly believe we had the all around BEST vendor team and it is because I stared with Christa and then went off her recommendations :)

f photos that we will seriously cherish forever. She is also incredibly fun and easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable being photographed. If you are lucky enough to book her before her schedule fills up, DO IT!!! Thank you for everything, Christa!! <3 Lizzie & Wes

earth and truly listened to our visions for our wedding day. From embracing our idea to have our pup in our engagement photos, to capturing our emotional first look and private vows, to creating gorgeous sunset portraits, she is a master. Christa is extremely responsive and has great ideas to ensure she captures all of the important moments and details throughout the day. During the planning process, I always felt 100% confident in Christa as she answered every question or concern that I had. She has her timeline skills down to a science. We never felt rushed during our wedding day. Due to her efficiency, we actually were ahead of schedule which allowed her to capture even more portraits. Christa and her second shooter, Lauren, made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day. They were both so calm and kind the entire day. It was easy to see that Christa is passionate about her work as she seemed to be smiling and enjoying our wedding alongside us. She created incredible, timeless photos that we truly cherish and will look back on for the rest of our lives with smiles on our faces. We could not recommend Christa enough!

etails that anyone could need/ want. We did our engagement shoot with Christa as well as had her capture our big day. Her photos have become some of our absolute favorite. She is also very thorough. Christa helped everything run smoothly on the day and was an additional person to help keep everyone on track with the planned schedule. She had her own schedule that she coordinated with us to make sure she captured everything we asked for (and some we didn't know we wanted!). Christa has a very natural style and her photos come out looking beautiful and not over-edited with dark or unnatural colors. We will continue to use Christa for all of our professional photo needs!

ily members continue to rave about Christa's professionalism. Christa expertly navigated the timeline of our day, we never felt rushed taking photos. Seeing the final gallery is such a joy, our wedding photos turned out absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend working with Christa to capture your wedding.

he was easy to communicate with and had AMAZING response times. Her eye for details along with poses were exceptional. Thank you Christa for making our memories last a lifetime!

hockey players and wanted to have some of our engagement photos taken on the ice and Christa was up for the challenge. Even though this was outside her comfort zone, she happily captured some really fun and beautiful shots! The day of the wedding, Christa captured every moment of love and happiness just perfectly! Our photos are stunning and exceeded our expectations. We would whole-heartedly recommend Christa to anyone looking for a photographer and will certainly use her again for photos in the future! Thank you, Christa!

! Christa captured every picture I wanted and did so much behind the scenes! For example a groomsman's suit ended up being just a little different shade of blue and she editing quite a few photos so his suit matched the rest of the bridal party...we can't tell a difference! Thank you Christa!

nd very helpful. We are obsessed with our photos! She is very talented. I highly recommend!

aph our wedding! I was so impressed with her work and so excited to have her capture our big day. To me, her style is classic, and something that will be as beautiful in 50 years as it is today. What I couldn't have anticipated was that she blew our expectations completely out of the water! Not only was she so easy to work with through all the woes of the pandemic and postponing our 2020 wedding (and engagement shoot!), she was a true professional when it came to all of the other wedding procedures with understanding our budget needs, discussing family dynamics, and making our wedding day dreams become reality. When our much anticipated wedding day came around, Christa arrived to the beach club suite with a smile on her face and was ready to get to work! The rest of the day was a blur (much like other married couples warn) but Christa kept everything perfectly on schedule and made sure she captured everything we had hoped and then some. She was such a warm and friendly presence and made my husband and I totally at ease. While I knew we were taking a lot of pictures at the time, I could not have imagined the beautiful and detailed wedding gallery she delivered to us a mere month and a half after our day. The amount of detail and perfection she put into her work made my husband and I (and my family) feel like we were living the day all over again. I will cherish these images for years to come. I truly cannot imagine if I hadn't had Christa photograph our wedding. I had mentioned to her, I wish I had it in the budget for a second shooter. But the sheer number of images she provided us and the detail she captured left nothing to be desired. She was my favorite vendor, utterly talented and truly a blessing to work with! I hope we get to work again for future life events!

ofessional, and extremely helpful the whole time. Can’t think of a better person for the job, and can’t recommend highly enough.

my expectations and hopes for wedding photography, especially given the unique experience of being pregnant at my wedding. Not only did Christa capture the magic of a wedding day, she managed to highlight our gender reveal and a good balance of maternity poses, while still making me look and feel like a bride on our amazing day. We absolutely recommend Christa for your photography needs. We can’t wait to see her again for another photo shoot of our little family after our baby arrives!

Christa was always very responsive and most importantly, incredibly flexible when we had to change our wedding plans due to COVID. On our wedding day, she stayed past her end time to shoot our surprise late night pizza food truck and sparkler exit. Her partner, who shot most of the groomsmen photos earlier in the day, made an immediate connection with the guys and made them feel super comfortable during the photo shoot. I'd recommend Christa to anybody for any special occasion. She was wonderful and we will always have amazing memories from our wedding because of her!

ited, but rather more natural and light. Christa is super sweet, and has a calm, proficient, and focused nature about her. We are absolutely thrilled with our new family photos!

mendations equally, making her the perfect photographer for our process. She was surgical during our wedding, which helped alleviate a naturally hectic night. It never seemed like she was interrupting, yet she was able to capture every moment. From start to finish, we couldn't recommend Christa enough.

and talented! Highly recommend her for your special day.
