Located in Sterling, MA, the Chocksett Inn is a stunning hotel wedding venue. This event location blends the best of old-world charm with modern comfort. The staff at this New-England-styled venue dedicate themselves to providing world-class hospitality. They strive to give couples, and their guests every ounce of attention they require during special occasions. Our hotel tends to generate a romantic atmosphere, where elegance reigns supreme.
Despite the venue’s vintage appearance it was built in 1989. Before transforming into a wedding venue, the hotel was well known by many travelers for its upmarket accommodation. Along with a sublime event space, the in-house cuisine here is able to delight even the most refined palettes.
Couples can find a mixture of intimacy and grandeur throughout the property. The garden is an ideal space to host wedding ceremonies. Couples can make their entrance on the brick-pathway that leads beneath an archway of trees. Here they can exchange heartfelt vows in the octagonal gazebo. The Laurelwood Foyer is a sublime space to welcome your guests indoors. It features lavish furniture and a private bar making. The Laurelwood Ballroom has a guest capacity of 250 guests. This space is adorned with stylish crystal chandeliers and soaring cathedral ceilings. The smaller Sterling Room is a great space for the wedding party to use as get-ready rooms.
Chocksett Inn is available to host any type of ceremony, from religious, non-religious or interfaith, proudly recognizing, and celebrating marriages of all kinds. The venue can facilitate rehearsal dinners, where the in-house catering unit can curate a menu that is designed to whet the appetite. The upmarket dining services are included with the various wedding package options available to couples. Couples can make use of the venue’s arrangement of exquisite decor, and rental equipment. thing went so smoothly! We received so many complements about the events and venue and had the most amazing weekend!
Location: The inn is so cute and it was so nice to have everything right on site! The bridal suite connected to the getting ready area, and because many people stayed on site (~27 rooms available), people could easily run and grab things as needed. The bridal suite has an apartment style entrance near the parking lot which allowed me to greet people as they came in!
Food: We had several people with dietary preferences and/or allergies (primarily vegan and gluten free) and the team was incredibly helpful in identifying options for all individuals to have plenty to eat and provided clear communication about allergen information to guests.
Dogs: We were able to have our dogs at the ceremony and in pictures even though we took many photos inside due to weather. Our dogs stayed in the bridal suite during the reception.
Decor: We were able to drop off decorations early (~1 week) and were minimally involved in putting up and taking down decorations - the team at the Chocksett took the lead on all of this and made things look beautiful! They also set things up early so we could see how things looked before the day of!
Vendors: The Chocksett has a list of vendors you can use but welcomes other vendors. Tianna helped to coordinate with vendors day of so I could focus on getting ready. She made everything run so smoothly!
Pricing: Pricing was very reasonable, especially compared to other venues in the area and considering all of the coordination and extra support you receive.

It rained on our wedding day but the Chocksett Inn had a rain plan ready, and getting married in the ballroom was beautiful. Lastly, Tianna and Katie were wonderful on the wedding day, simultaneously checking in with my husband and I to see if we needed anything and also making sure all of our vendors were on the same page and everything was running smoothly. ave us a tour; from each get ready room, to the bridal suite, the ballroom, the outdoor ceremony space, and the restaurant downstairs. We fell in love with everything about it. When we sat down with Tianna after the tour, we were blown away by everything that was included and were pleasantly surprised by the cost (The previous venues we toured were significantly out of our budget). Tianna takes the time and truly cares and asks every little detail, details that we didn't even think of. From the moment we signed our contract with the Chocksett, Tianna made every single step 100% stress free for us - and if you're planning a wedding, you know how stressful the planning is! She handled everything. Every meeting with her was so easy, so stress free, fun, and she is such a genuine person. Fast forward to wedding day and I don't think we ever saw her stop moving. She wanted to make sure everything went perfect and smooth for us and that we didn't have to worry about a single thing. It ended up raining during our ceremony, and without any hesitation, let us know she was already working on moving everything to the indoor ceremony space and not to worry. She set up all of our decorations we provided, set up every place setting exactly how we wanted, the welcome sign and seating chart, the list goes on. I now see that when every bride said that the day flies by, that's an understatement. The entire day flew by from when we got there to get ready, to the after party. The day was everything we dreamed it would have been and more. Thank you to everybody at the Chocksett, especially Tianna. If you're looking for a venue, I promise, you don't need to look any further. Book at the Chocksett and work with Tianna. I promise you'll be just as impressed as we were. I wish we could go back and do it all over again. We cannot possibly thank you enough.

e best experience we could have asked for. One of the biggest highlights was having everything in one place — the ceremony, reception, and after-party — and being able to have our family and close friends stay at the inn with us afterward made it even more special.
Tianna was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond for us, catered to every detail, and patiently answered our millions of emails in a timely fashion. We were blown away by how beautifully she and the staff decorated the ballroom during the Christmas season, incorporating the decorations we brought and truly making our Hallmark Christmas wedding dream come true.
We also got to know the bartenders and waitstaff during our visits leading up to the wedding, and they were absolutely amazing every time. By the end of it all, we genuinely felt like part of the Chocksett family — and we’re honestly sad it’s over! We will definitely be stopping by the restaurant just to see familiar faces and enjoy the delicious food and drinks again.

and the attached hotel was perfect for our guests to stay for the whole weekend! Tianna and her staff were beyond amazing. Throughout the whole process she was only an email away answering all my questions within an hour. The week of our wedding Tianna was available at our convenience to drop off our decorations and to go over our vision. Even with the little time we spent talking over everything we had brought, Tianna captured our vision perfectly. She was open to all our ideas for the day, including setting up a full karaoke machine in the downstairs bar for the after party. As the bride I did not have to worry about a single thing the day of our wedding because Tianna and her team were on it. They set up and packed up everything, even made sure we had a box of cannoli's to take home when we spent too long on the dance floor and missed our cannoli bar. At the end of a long day we were able to walk 2 mins to our bedroom where we found all our flowers, gifts, and a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us. We had the most perfect day at the Chocksett Inn and highly recommend you consider having your perfect day here!

were so accommodating!! We had a lot of personalized things and they took care of everything for us and had us drop everything off the week before which was a big stress relief! Between the servers and bartenders, everything ran super smoothly we never saw a long line at the bar and dinner ran seamlessly. The food was just as good as every tasting we went to. Which is a big deal, this food is next level. Also this is one of the few inn that is staffed 24/7. The beds were comfy. I actually slept the night before my wedding. My mom slept on my couch. We didn't bother making it into a pull-out and she said it was super comfy too. I had 5 people getting ready with me plus a makeup artist and a hair stylist and the room was very comfortable. Literally my only complaint is is that the rooms could have a bit more lighting especially in the bridal suite but they do have a getting ready room with better lighting that you can get for a small fee

Tianna was an absolute rock star! Everyone told me to expect that something would go wrong on the wedding day—but not with Tianna running the show! If anything did go wrong, we had no idea because she and the staff were so on top of their game, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The food was absolutely delicious! Multiple guests came up to us afterward to say it was some of the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. And it wasn’t just delicious—it was served hot, which is a rarity at big events like this.
Therusa and Paula, the bartenders, were amazing—not only serving drinks flawlessly but also joining us for karaoke at the after-party, which was such a fun and memorable touch! Kristen was incredible as well, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the wedding and even surprising us by having dessert from our dessert bar waiting in our room when we got back.
If you’re considering having your wedding here, DO IT. You will not regret it. The staff, the service, the food, and the attention to detail were all absolutely top-notch. It was truly the wedding of our dreams, and we owe so much of that to this amazing venue and their incredible team!

Tianna the coordinator was phenomenal to work with and very organized. She made every request I had a reality to turn the wedding into the one of my dreams. The whole day went off without a hitch, and she was there through the entire planning process until the reception ended. She even tolerated daily emails from me for the whole month leading up to the wedding! The ceremony and reception spaces are stunning, the rooms are lovely, and the food was delicious. Tianna, our wedding coordinator shared our excitement and guided us every step of the way. Communication was constantly open and clear. I could reach out anytime and got a response in a timely manner that was always kind and respectful. Everyone was professional and accommodating. The ceremony and reception areas were set up perfectly. The food was amazing! The rooms at the Inn are updated, spacious and clean. I received so many compliments from guests about their experiences. ind! She walked us through the entire process and was there to answer (and re-answer) all of my questions along the way. Not only does she represent the venue, but also acts as your day-of coordinator. I had asked if I needed to hire someone for this, and she assured me it would be all set. Boy was she right. The day of my wedding didn't go as expected (rain among other things) but she was attentive and ready for any curveballs. You would never have known that an inside ceremony wasn't Plan A. It was a day-of pivot that went seamlessly and beautifully. Tianna is truly so wonderful!
In terms of the venue itself, we were so happy with our choice. The Chocksett has a lot of things included in their wedding package, their catering and accommodations are on site, and you can do the rehearsal dinner in the restaurant the night before (which we did!). This made it so much easier to keep everything organized, and our guests enjoyed the ability to stay on-site. If you do get good weather, the courtyard area is so pretty for a ceremony. Our cocktail hour and reception were great as well! We had about 100 guests, but I believe it could hold a lot more.

Their attention to detail was unmatched! We had to have our ceremony inside because the weather did not cooperate and the staff at Chocksett made the indoor ceremony space look absolutely gorgeous! Our guests also kept coming up to us and telling us how delicious the food was. The rooms were very clean and spacious too. We would definitely recommend this venue to other couples!

ouring rain on my wedding day, Tianna made sure that I knew the ceremony was going to be beautiful even having it in the ballroom. I can't say enough good things about Tianna and the other staff at the Inn. They took care of EVERYTHING and made the wedding planning process less stressful. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this venue.

The outdoor garden spot is so beautiful for the ceremony. The indoor cocktail hour and reception areas are both plenty spacious. I don't think there are enough words to describe how wonderful the coordinator Tianna is! She was so helpful and detailed throughout the entire process, and absolutely amazing day of. I had absolutely no doubts that we were in good hands with her. I got so many compliments from guests about both the food and the venue itself. I have nothing negative at all to say about our experience with the Chocksett Inn. I cannot recommend The Chocksett Inn enough!!!

at the inn were so easy to work with. Tianna was there to answer all of our questions and help us through this process. Our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without the wonderful staff. In addition to the great staff members, the Inn is beautiful. We got lucky with sunny weather to have our ceremony outside in the garden. Overall, an amazing experience at the Chocksett Inn!

e 2nd one we saw and we knew as soon as we walked in it was the one for us. The ceremony space outside is beautiful and the reception area inside is so elegant (which we originally didn’t want but ended up loving). Tianna was also so helpful from the very beginning which made the decision of choosing the Chocksett even easier. She answered the many questions I had very quickly and it was very reassuring to have someone there a long the way since planning a wedding is so stressful. Once the day came we had a mishap with our JP and Tianna and her team went out of their way to find us a new one within minutes. No one at the ceremony could even tell that we had just met the new JP seconds from walking down the aisle. I really can’t say enough good things about the Chocksett staff. Our wedding was absolutely amazing thanks to them and would 100% recommend the chocksett to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

if you are looking for a venue for your wedding. I have covered three weddings there in the past few years and each time the staff left me highly impressed. The staff is top notch. All three times I worked weddings there, the room prep, the serving and quality of the food, as well as the service was amazing and on schedule. Additionally the venue has a very sophisticated, contemporary, look to it that would compliment any style wedding. Finally there are facilities there so that you can have your bridal party get ready there, have your ceremony, and your reception all in one spot. Be sure to check out the secluded grassy Gazebo area, it is amazing for pictures!

hat makes The Chocksett Inn so special is that it becomes your own private getaway! With limited hotel rooms (yet enough to hold your friends and family) it allowed us to have the entire Inn to our group and bring that intimate feeling people look for. We enjoyed our rehearsal dinner there the previous night as well in the Cellar Grill located on site. You will not find a better menu. I repeat, you will not find a better menu! The food was just amazing and so many of our guests continue to talk about their meals to this day.
The entire staff goes above and beyond to help guide you through the day and allow you to take it all in without the stress that goes along with it. Tianna and her team are unmatched in professionalism, and the exact team you want on your side during your big day! If we could enjoy it all over again we would not change a thing! Looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here every year!

everything down to a science and thought of every last detail throughout the planning as well as on the day of. We would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone! The space is perfect, we loved having the separate spaces as options for my ladies and I to get ready as well as a separate room for the groomsmen. The ballroom is absolutely stunning…Tianna and her staff, with the help of our private decorator, made sure it was all set up exactly how we wanted it. The house keeping manager and staff were SPECTACULAR and so helpful with little things I needed that day! We cannot say enough about all of the staff there.
One of the downsides for me, to no fault of anyone, was that we very much wanted to be able to have the ceremony outside in the garden. The weather did not allow for this unfortunately, but they made sure the set up inside was absolutely beautiful. There was a mix up with the communication about the final call of it being inside or outside but it all ended up working out. Because of the weather not cooperating we weren’t able to do many outside photos or videos, but we did get some very cute and romantic shots with some clear umbrellas the photographer brought!
I’d say the only reason we didn’t rate a full five stars (I would do 4.5/5 if it was an option!) was due to some break downs in communication and some issues related to the after party. My husband and I didn’t get down to it early enough. Our guests were playing music too loudly and were asked to turn it down so the party ended up breaking up and we didn’t get it take part in it at all or be there to encourage people to continue with the music lower. We did not know about noise level limitations or other rules so it unfortunately ended up being a waste. Definitely understand this was partly on our guests as well, we just wish we knew the rules beforehand so we could have planned better.
Overall, I would book this venue again in a second!! Just probably in a less rainy month so nature or any acts of God are less likely to affect us ;)
