About this vendor
Located in Walnut Cove, NC, Chateau Vie is a wedding venue rich with evocative scenery. Their modus operandi is accessible, affordable weddings in a luxurious setting. This venue is nestled cozily near the small town of Walnut Cove.
Built in 1949, the original tobacco farm consisted of 200-acres. In 2007 the structure was converted into Chateau Fontaine, a chic bed and breakfast. The year 2018 saw the estate sold into the hands of Tyler and Mary Rhodes, a dynamic duo that saw the property’s potential and built the expansive wedding venue it is today. This estate retains its rustic aesthetic with architectural features like federal-style columns and carefully constructed porches. Sprawling acres of green grass and towering oak trees create a natural backdrop for your romantic ceremony. Springtime sees this estate resplendent in blooming flowers, while Fall dapples it with the warm turning of the leaves. Make an unforgettable fairytale entrance in the estate’s horse-drawn carriage. Riding along in this classic white carriage, you can fully absorb the scenic views as you begin your big day.
An ample number of facilities are available to host your special day. Choose to start your journey in the serene setting of the on-site get ready rooms. First is the venue’s Bridal Cottage, a fully serviced chalet in which you can spend quality time with your wedding party prior to your walk down the aisle. Also available is the Groom’s Den, a cozy and private area featuring a shower, kitchenette area, and warm wood-paneled walls. Your ceremony can be held in the beautiful wedding courtyard, a paved walkway guiding you down the aisle. Alternatively, you can hold your ceremony under the expansive white pergola in the formal gardens of the property. Oak trees surround this garden area, making it a secluded option for a cocktail reception following the service. Reception can commence at the Pavilion, a covered area with a panoramic view. This area has a capacity of up to 200 guests. A stretch of natural beauty surrounds you as you and your treasured guests enjoy your reception meal under hanging chandeliers. As the sun sets on your monumental day, you can be confident in your choice of Chateau Vie.

Everything was perfect. We searched and searched and found such amazing deals at Chateau Vie...so glad we found this gem
My #1 choice in touring over 10 places. My favorite was the details in the packages.
Everything from start to finish was great. We toured both properties that they own. We ended up booking the meadows gold package, and everything was perfect. I can't believe how...
calm they helped me be even though I felt like the world was spinning! I highly recommend.
We had intended to book a venue we had toured right before this but thought we were settling too quickly and might as well see Chateau Vie ad well. When we arrived, the grounds wer...
e well cared for and the reception site was spacious and the layout was comfortable for guests. I started to be able to picture myself at the venue on our wedding day.
We toured the venue with Tyler and he showed us the tap system which is a very cool feature (kegs are so much less expensive and wasteful than bottles) and the grooms dressing area. My groom was hooked after that. They have games, and a good size getting ready space designated for the men and I think they are often overlooked. The bridal cottage had everything a bridal party would need. It was air conditioned with lots of mirrors, a restroom, outlets makeup mirrors and lighting for the beauty part as well as a kitchenette.
From the time we booked it to the big day, Tyler and Mary were very responsive. I would get a response to my question same day (for owning 2 venues and being peak wedding season I thought they were VERY responsive). On the day of, Darlene was my wedding coordinator who remained calm and collected the entire day, helped set up my decor, and kept me in the loop about possible rain. She and the rest of the staff did an amazing job with decor and keeping everyone on task. I cant think of the man's name who drove the golf cart but I never needed to ask for him to be there, he was just always where we needed him (and he bartends!). I refused to change ceremony sites regardless of the very real possibility of rain and the staff made sure that all of my guests had umbrellas. The entire day was perfect, the decor was perfect, there was no stress, the staff was a joy to work with, and I had about a million complements on the venue.
Great job Chateau Vie! Thanks for making my day way better than I could have imagined.
We are so glad we found Chateau Vie. We wanted a small wedding that would not break the bank, and Chateau Vie was perfect. We chose the Silver all inclusive package, and our vendor...
s were An Event to Remember catering, Artist's Way bakery, Keepsake Bouquets floral, and Amir Luna photography. Tyler and Mary made the planning super easy leading up to the big day, and Darlene was our day-of coordinator. She was great - the rehearsal ceremony went smoothly thanks to her, and then she and the rest of the staff were on top of everything all day Saturday. We didn't have to ask for anything, Darlene had everything taken care of. Overall great experience, and no regrets!
Chateau Vie was an absolute dream! We recently got married here on 10/17/21 and it was the perfect venue for everything we wanted for the day. Got married down by the lake which wa...
s perfect for the fall weather and foliage. Then the cocktail hour and reception up at the pavilion was set up wonderfully. Being a low maintenance bride, everything was done for me. We had to pick which photographer, caterer and plan we wanted out of the few they gave us. Then everything else was pretty much done from there. You can add on and take off things you don’t want for the packages. Tyler and Mary are great at getting back to you after you message them with any questions. They made the wedding day an absolute breeze! Definitely recommend getting married here. It’ll take most of the wedding stress right away with the inclusive packages!
We got married here on 9/4/21 and booked at the end of October in 2020. Funny enough, when we toured there had just been a storm and the lights were out. We still fell in love with...
the beautiful property and wonderful staff. Darlene, Tyler, and Mary were always a phone/text/email away. They were always respectful in their communication and truly help your vision come alive. They have packages with amazing vendors (dandelions/KC studio/an event to remember/artists way) that make the day perfect and a breeze. You do not have to worry about the small details as they take care of it all. It’s a big property with multiple places for ceremony, cocktail, and reception to all remain separate. Seriously, go tour this place. You will not regret it!
Tyler and Mary are very personable and so helpful & sweet! The day of our wedding, we literally had to do almost nothing other than get ready. It was amazing going in thinking we’d...
have to set everything up & getting there and finding out we literally had to just tel them what we wanted where & it was done. Also, you just cannot beat the price for the beauty and service this place provides. We were blown away.
