Cenote was amazing! If you're looking for a low key, relaxed vibe - this is THE place for you. Mary and her team will literally bend over backwards for you. The wine/beer list is a...
mazing and the food is even better. All the guests are still talking about the food they ate at our wedding. This venue is affordable, well lit at night and has tons of great places for guests to hang out and take pictures (stage, couch inside).
Cenote was the perfect spot for our medium (~50 guests) sized wedding! They have 2 airbnb's on site, behind the restaurant, that we also rented out for getting ready. It was just a...
few steps away from the outdoor area, and we were able to offer the rooms to a couple of out of town guests. We chose the taco bar option with an open bar to give our guests options and they really enjoyed it. I saw many people drinking coffee and lattes! Music was easy, we shared a spotify playlist that they hooked in to their existing sound setup and a PA was provided for the outdoor ceremony on the stage. The restaurant and outdoor greenery was so beautiful on its own that we opted not to do any extra decorations and our photos turned out wonderful. The staff was amazing and the chef fixed bride & groom plates for us for dinner which was so thoughtful. Mary's communication was totally on point, when I was looking at venues I didn't want to have to make a bunch of phone calls to plan the wedding. We were able to handle it all through email and everything was perfect on the wedding day. Cenote will always have a special place our heart.
Excellent spot for a rehearsal dinner! The space is large and adaptable (there was a storm that night and they were able to move everything inside without a hitch), the food is unb...
elievable, and the experience is surprisingly affordable. Highly recommend.
Mary at Cenote was extremely accommodating. She answered all of mine and my wife's questions in a very timely manor and was extremely helpful in helping us taste the food and pick ...
the beverages. As for the venue, it was amazing. Not only was it extremely well priced for East Austin but we had plenty of room to accommodate our guests comfortably. We were expecting cold weather that night so Mary made sure to have the heaters set up and ready to go.
Highly recommend Cenote if you are looking for a venue space that is true to East Austin!
We rented out Cenote for our rehearsal dinner and Welcome Party in September and could not be happier with our decision. Mary was incredibly responsive during the planning process ...
and our event turned out even better than we had imagined--our guests raved about Cenote! The food was incredible, the staff was great to work with on the night-of, and the space was perfect for our ~80 guests... plenty of room to spread out inside and outside. If you are looking for an authentic Austin vibe for your event, superb staff and delicious food, look no further than Cenote.
We had lots of guests coming in from out of town and wanted to find a location that could host a full guest list rehearsal dinner. Cenote was super easy to work with and their spac...
e is the the right blend of Austin charm.
We cleared out a large area in their main space to mingle and still had plenty of space for indoor and outdoor seating for 50-60 guests.
We worked directly with the owners to create a custom menu that had everything from modern Tex-mex inspired entrees to a ceviche raw bar. The costs were extremely reasonable compared to our day of catering and we also worked out a great deal on beer and wine so our guest could party down with out breaking the bank.
Owners were super helpful, staff was super respectful, food was great... perfect location for a authentic Austin gathering.
Cenote is a beautiful space located just east of downtown Austin, TX. We decided to have our marriage celebration at Cenote because it's been a long time favorite spot for both mys...
elf and my husband. We rented Cenote on a Sunday evening in June. The patio is beautifully landscaped and lit up at night, with tons of seating. There's also quite a bit of seating inside. We opted for some light appetizers and a taco bar. I was so happy with the food, Cenote always nails it. We chose a couple of beers to serve and had a wine tasting a few weeks beforehand to select our wines. We also made a playlist and hooked that up to play. Our party was with little obligation, as we had previously gotten married at the courthouse. Cenote was a great space to celebrate and let our guests mingle and spread out and get to know each other, or catch up if they already knew one another. I would definitely recommend Cenote as a venue and I'm sure this won't be the last time we rent it out.
