About this vendor
I start each morning slow, sipping coffee and breathing in thankfulness. Within moments of waking up, I get a text. Our ritual, our romance. I’m smiling before I read it. He just gets my heart like that. John. My source of laughter, my boyfriend romancer, and my best friend. John and I spend more time laughing than not. He teases that my gluten-free avocado toast is too hipster, I tease him for his lack of appreciation for fine cuisine. We laugh hard and play hard. He supports me, inspires me and challenges me to see the world differently as often as possible, and I love that my world is surrounded by people who do the same.
My heart lives for coffee shops and long conversations. My obsession for coffee, with a little bit of French vanilla creamer, and all things baking run deep in my soul. (My cranberry orange scones and blueberry muffins could win some awards I am sure of it.) I am convinced there isn’t anything one of my Granny’s donuts can’t cure. My grandparents live a legacy of love being married for over 67 years, and to this day I believe in forever love because I’ve watched them live it.
I find home in people. Like a good book snuggled on an inviting couch, I love people who are warm and genuine and good for the soul. Maybe it’s because I’ve met too many people who told me I wouldn’t reach my dreams and that I will fail. Each day I wake up and get to prove them wrong while inspiring those who need to be told: “Your dreams are worth fighting for.”
My joy and passion come from giving to people. I love those quiet moments with friends or loud ones when you are surrounded by the people you love most. I love wandering in the wilderness and soaking up the peacefulness of the majestic mountains, just as much as getting lost in a great book. I love that imagination and love can take you to far off places and the sweetest friends can be your companion along the way. Maybe that is why I found photography, or that it found me.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I found Catie scrolling through Instagram and I am SO glad I did. She did my engagement, rehearsal and wedding pictures. She was the BEST photographer I could ...
have asked for. Let me break down why...
1. This is a given, but her pictures are amazing. You can see her work for yourself so I won't get too into this, but I loved the mix of film and digital photos. Our pictures felt so romantic and dreamy. I'm not sure what I was envisioning but this was better than I expected. I am obsessed with how they turned out.
2. She is the SWEETEST. One thing I stress to my friends getting married is to hire vendors who you actually like - especially your photographer who is with you all day. Not only did I love working with her, but so did my friends and family so it added to a great atmosphere. Not to mention, she literally printed out a picture, framed it and brought it to me and my husband during the reception AND brought me a bottle of champagne with our venue painted on it. Both were so thoughtful, I was speechless and showed everyone!
3. She's a true professional. Working with Catie has been such a smooth process from signing the contract to the day of the wedding, and then getting our gallery. She is prompt to respond and takes her work seriously while having a great attitude. She didn't have to, but she spent extra time with us during our rehearsal at the church so she would be prepared the next day and know where she'd want to shoot. I was fairly specific with the shots I wanted so I gave her a list, but not only did she execute the list, but she really grasped my vision and got other pictures I hadn't thought of and loved. So she's great at listening to what you want, capturing it, and then also making it 10x better than you could've thought. There are so many other instances, but I always felt secure knowing I was in good hands.
I know it's so hard to be a wedding photographer, but Catie makes it look easy. I was never stressed about my pictures throughout the entire process. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer and I truly couldn't ask for a nicer person to work with!
Catie - Thank you for everything!!!
My wedding planner recommended Catie to me and after 1 minute on the phone I knew I needed her and her energy for our big day!
Not only is Catie amazing at what see does and her ...
works speaks for itself, but she herself is an amazing person! I told her off the bat that my husband and I would be awkward in front of the camera! Not only did she make us feel comfortable on the big day, but she made everyone from our parents to our guest feel the same way too! The way she can see things through a lens that most wouldn’t and then capture it on film is truly a work of art.
She was easy to work with from day one, always quick to reply to an email or reach by phone. She was thorough in her questionnaire prior to the wedding day that when the day came, she knew exactly what we wanted her to capture, and she snapped away while we enjoyed the day.
The best part was…SHE PRINTED US A PHOTO AND FRAMED IT ON THE ACTUAL WEDDING DAY! We walked away that night with a wedding photo-but not before my mom ran around the whole wedding showing off the incredible picture!
Catie is a gem and I am so grateful I was connected to her!
My good friend who is in the wedding industry recommended Catie for my wedding. She had worked with Catie a few times and told me that she had some of the most incredible pictures ...
she had ever seen, and I couldn’t agree more!! Not only are her pictures fantastic, but she is a kind, warm and easy going person. She is thoughtful, thorough and detail oriented, making sure to get pictures of little things and catching special moments. Our wedding was very small and she fit right into the family and felt like a natural addition! At one point she offered to help my mom swap out her shoes while we climbed over some more difficult terrain for a nature shoot! I have not stopped talking about how fantastic she was and will definitely be recommending her to anyone who is looking for a photographer. Cannot recommend enough!
I can't say enough great things about Catie. Her work is phenomenal and speaks for itself so I won't focus this review on the output you receive from her because she is clearly tal...
ented. What I will say about Catie outside of her wonderful imagery is that she is such a great person to have around on your wedding day. As a couple, in the overall scope of your wedding day, you are in constant motion from one milestone to the next and having someone like Catie being around to constantly pay attention to you, your family, your friends and other vendors is so appreciated. She has such a warm personality that it feels like you hired your best friend from childhood to capture your wedding day. You never feel awkward in front of her camera and whenever you are feeling nervous or anxious she will quickly relieve the pressure with a welcoming joke or lighthearted comment. When you gather with your families and friends in the days after your wedding day you always end up chatting about the things that stood out to you. Catie was the one person every member of our tribe said they loved! They all said she felt so down-to-Earth and couldn't believe how efficient she was. For couples looking to book a photographer - I would encourage you to consider Catie. Her work is fantastic in itself but you will be grateful to have her as part of your vendor team.
Catie is absolutely one of the nicest people I have ever met! There was an instant connection after I “met” with her on facetime. She is so sweet and genuine. That is what I love m...
ost about her. She loves what she does, and it shows in her as a person and in her work. She has such a kind heart and knows that being a 2020 bride has been challenging for everyone. We had pushed out our wedding, but I reached out to Catie for a mini family session. She did a beautiful job. I loved every single photo she took. I always feel awkward doing these shots, but you couldn’t have noticed how she shoots. She captures the fun and unexpected laughs and smiles in her photography. Any questions that arise, she was so prompt and happy to answer all of them. It honestly felt like a friend was taking our photos. I would highly recommend her any photoshoot you need!
I spent a lot of time searching for fine art photographers and was immediately taken by Catherine's work online. Her style is so classically beautiful, romantically artistic, and t...
hat of Martha's weddings and Vogue caliber. She has a way with capturing candid moments well and knows how to seek the best lighting (handy device on hand)!
In addition, she so patiently worked with us with our ever-changing and disappointing wedding plan changes due to the pandemic. Catherine was so gracious throughout the process and it was a great relief to have a vendor we could count on to be there when our special day finally came!
The day of our wedding, Catherine guided us thorough glamourous poses, captured our vision and our special candid moments, and paid attention to the finer details i.e. making sure my hair was in place, veil etc. She was so naturally positive and joyful for us that day, it really made us feel special. I cannot recommend her enough!
We received the highest compliments from many of our friends who said our wedding photos looked that of magazine work. Her work speaks for itself and on top of that, she is truly kind professional, highly organized, and an expert in her craft. As Ansel Adams once said, “A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.” Catherine captured just that for us.
Catie was an absolute dream to work with! She worked with my fiance to capture his surprise proposal to me on a trip we took to San Francisco, CA (we're from New York). She is such...
a sweetheart and is able to make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures that she took are so natural and beautiful! I am forever grateful for the images she captured of our special moment. I highly recommend her!
Working with Catie is an absolute dream. She is the kindest person with a heart of gold. Not only is she an exceptionally talented photographer, but she makes you feel comfortable ...
in front of the camera. I love the images she took of my husband and me. They are some of my absolute favorite images of us, ever.
She has a way of capturing the moment that feels genuine. The emotions transcend the photograph and captivate the viewer's attention. We find ourselves going back to our album over and over again to relive those precious moments.
I can't wait to work with Catie in the years to come for family portraits and more!
My fiancée and I hired Catie for a pre-wedding photoshoot and we couldn't be happier with the results! Catie had such a great way of making us comfortable with each other and we en...
ded up laughing throughout the entire 2 hours. Before the day, Catie had already researched good spots for taking photos and those ended up being some of our favorites. She also sent us her personal guide for preparing for the shoot such as clothes to wear and what to bring the day of.
As amateur photographers, we also appreciated the way Catie made the colors and shading across all of our photos uniform, which makes it easy to incorporate them into our wedding website. The print box we received was also amazing and even came with a slick USB drive with all of the photos.
We highly recommend Catie for all of your engagement/wedding needs!!
We can't recommend Catie enough. She made my fiancee and I feel like family during our session. Catie was such an accommodating person and was integral to planning the perfect prop...
osal. Not only did she help in the creative and planning process for the big moment, she was communicative every step of the way. We simply could not have asked for a better photographer. Even as someone who isn't keen on getting their picture taken, she made me feel comfortable and embraced our idiosyncrasies--it shows in her work.
After the proposal, she took us around the area to get some additional shots that was a little out of the initial plan, which we loved. This just goes to show that Catie is truly an involved photographer, who interacts with her subjects and makes them feel like it's about them, even for a short while. Even as tourists to the Bay Area, she made us feel like we were at home. The trip and the photos will be a part of our story forever, and the memories of that day can definitely be attributed to Catie's kindness, creativity, and originality.
We were lucky enough to find Catie on Instagram early on in our engagement and I am SO happy we did! We booked her package for engagement + wedding images and we could not have bee...
n happier with the outcome of both. Catie is so thoughtful when it comes to her clients, being sure to not only provide amazing photographs but also providing guidance along the way such as timeline suggestions, blog posts and tips for brides. We loved working with her and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!

rsary party a couple of years ago and did a superb job of catching the moment, but also capturing the personalities of the family members featured in the photos. Without her expert guidance, the moment would have been a hodgepodge of photos from different family members. For our wedding, Catie guided us through the process of deciding wedding logistics, such as where to have our flowers delivered so they would be available for photos. She has readily worked within the restrictions placed by our wedding venue with professionalism and aplomb. My groom and I were thrilled to receive a gift package from Catherine Leanne Photography with keepsakes and sweet treats to share. As I look back over the years at our wedding photos, I know I will marvel at the beauty of the moment captured in Catie’s photography and be thankful she agreed to be our wedding photographer. Thanks to Catie for beautifully capturing the most important day of my life in photos. I would definitely recommend Catherine Leanne Photography for your wedding or other special event.
Catie was the photographer for our wedding. She was so organized and professional; she captured our moments effortlessly and fluently. For us, our wedding day was one of the most s...
tressful moments in our life. I did not feel beautiful or like this day was anything remotely close to what I imagined as a little girl. I was so very disappointed in the way our wedding turned out; I requested not to see our photos until 6 months later. I was not looking forward to remembering that day; however, when we received the photos to our amazement they were beautiful! She captured the love that I have for my husband and not the way I felt that day. So very grateful she would share her talent with our family!
Catie is hands down the most amazing photographer I have ever worked with. I’ve shot many solo shoots with her and one “couples” shoot. My other half was so hesitant at doing a sho...
ot as he has never liked his picture taken. Within minutes catie had both of us laughing and forgetting the camera was even there! All the images were beyond expectation and I would highly recommend her! Not only does her passion for her craft shine through in her images but she makes the shoot an experience as well.
I don't even know where to begin with Catie. She is such a DREAM to work with. Even before we were engaged, Catie was always rooting for our relationship, chomping at the bit to be...
able to shoot for us when the big day arrived! So when it came time to choose a wedding photographer, we literally didn't even look at other options. Catie was so gracious to work with us and our wedding budget to ensure we received exactly the package we could afford, without cutting any quality. She was the best at making sure my husband (then fiancé) and I were comfortable for our first photo shoot. It made working with her on wedding day feel so natural. Her talent speaks for itself when you see her work, but her personality is the cherry on top. She is the sweetest, most genuine human being, and so professional. She also has a knack for capturing the most precious, special moments without ever being detected, she is so discreet!! We LOVED having Catie as our photographer and will cherish her photos for the rest of our lives!! Any couple, or family would be lucky to have Catie capture their most special moments!
Catie is a complete joy! I think aside from her talent, her contagious smile is what makes her clients so comfortable and makes the photos turn out beautifully. Catie was there fro...
m beginning to end on our special day and was incredibly conscious of making sure she captured all of the special moments without being intrusive. A couple stand-out moments for me: After we were married we were taking couple portraits together. My husband and I are not people who get photos taken a lot, and I think Catie worked us through that perfectly. She said to Andrew, "Tell Michaela what you were thinking when you first saw her." He whispered in my ear and now when I look at the photo Catie snapped I can remember that moment perfectly. Second, we walked into our reception and we opted for a sweetheart table. When we sat down we were greeted with a photo Catie had taken less than an hour ago, in a beautiful silver frame. There is a personal connection Catie has to this momento from her own family and it is something I will cherish forever. I cannot recommend her enough and I am sure from your first meeting you will understand all of the positive reviews.

entire wedding party LOVED Catie and her wonderful ideas. The best part was that when we were seated for dinner Catie had already printed and framed a wedding picture of us and had it placed at our table. WOW!! We were blown away by this extra special touch. My groom and I will forever hold a special place in our hearts for this extraordinary talented, sweet as can be, amazing person who were lucky enough to have with us making amazing memories on our very magical day.

s out the best in you for your photos. Her attention to detail and passion for photography is something that we noticed right away and is evident in all of her photos. Catie made each moment a memorable one, which we are so grateful for, and we couldn't have asked for a better person to capture our engagement and wedding. Truth be told, she was kind enough to act as our witness for our wedding at City Hall (have to take care of paperwork before a destination wedding). Now, because of her sweet gesture, she will always have a special place in our hearts.

ng with Catie was the EASIEST, more stress-LESS thing that day.
Echoing what everyone else has said, Catie is a true sweetheart. Very warm, very kind, and VERY professional, she quelled all my anxiety storms leading up to the wedding by answering all my inane emails within the day (if not within a couple hours) and providing me with info and context. I knew those were promising signs, but I think the day of is when she truly shined. Catie was prompt, ensured we got the photos we wanted, made sure we stayed on schedule, while remaining patient and positive the ENTIRE time!!!
And the final product? They're just astounding. It's so hard to choose favorites... even between categories! Just so many "awww" moments from a day that whizzes by :)
I really can't say enough nice things about Catie. Seriously, do yourself a favor: book her, cross it off your never-ending list of things to do, and pat yourself on the back for a job well done! You can thank me, and all the other posters, later!! ;)
Catie is a wonderful photographer. I have had my engagement and wedding photos done as well as relatives. Her passion for what she does is shown in her work. She is very dedicated ...
and knowledgeable about what she does. I am so thankful to have the photos she had taken of my wedding. I am able to cherish those moments again and again. I recommend her for any photography needs, not just for amazing work but because she is genuinely one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.
UPDATE AFTER WEDDING: How do I even begin to express my appreciation for Catie?! There is absolutely no other photographer that we would have chosen to photograph our wedding. Not ...
only is she the sweetest human being ever, but she is also SO talented. Our pictures turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. She is always so professional and kind. On your wedding day, your photographer is basically by your side all day, and Catie was such an absolute joy to be around! All of our guests love her too. We still hear from them that our photographer was amazing and sweet and we couldn't agree more! All in all, we LOVE Catie and truly consider her our friend. We would recommend her to absolutely anyone and everyone. Picking Catie to be your photographer will be the best wedding planning decision that you make, I promise!
I would give Catie 6 stars if I could - she is that great! My fiancé and I planned a vacation to San Francisco and my fiancé (then boyfriend) planned to propose to me on this trip. He contacted Catie to capture the moment by the Golden Gate Bridge when he popped the question. On this particular day, it was foggy, dark, and COLD! But, Catie did an absolutely amazing job and the pictures turned out better than I could ever imagine. Not only were the pictures amazing but I feel like I gained a friend because she is just the sweetest and we have kept in contact ever since :) We love her so much that we plan on flying her out to Charleston, SC to photograph our wedding! We wouldn’t want or trust anyone else. She is truly so sweet, so genuine, so talented, and such a pleasure to work with. Booking her for your wedding is the best decision you can make!

agement & wedding) were even more beautiful than we were expecting. She even made our wedding invites AND save the dates for us! I cannot reccomend her work enough. Anytime we need photos, she is our go to! My husband and I still talk about how having her as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! 💙
Catie is absolutely incredible. Not only is she the nicest person ever, but she gave us the most beautiful portraits for both our engagement session and our wedding. There were so ...
many candid moments that she captured that I am so happy to have forever. She is professional, responds quickly, and is just awesome to be around. Working with her was so smooth, which is such a blessing because photography is a huge deal for a bride. I would highly highly recommend choosing Catie as your wedding photographer!
When we started our wedding planning, we were on a fairly tight budget, but knew one thing we wanted was a photographer who could capture the emotion of our big day. After research...
ing loads of Bay Area photographers, it looked like hiring someone to meet our needs without breaking the bank might be difficult, so we asked around our network and received a referral for Catie. We met via Skype to make sure the vibe was right, and knew very quickly that she was our choice. We told her what we were looking for and were able to afford, and she worked with us to build a package that was within our budget.
At the wedding, Catie's presence was calm and warm, making her a joy to work with. She captured our ceremony and venue beautifully, producing shots that were full of candid, unrehearsed, and heart-felt moments. I highly recommend Catie to anyone seeking a personable, authentic, and talented photographer!
When I first met Catie, I immediately fell in love with her work. I met her at a wedding in San Diego (as a planner) and I could not believe how amazing she was with the bride and ...
groom. She has a very chipper and positive attitude, stays on task with the timeline, gets in as much photos as possible (even beyond the photo list), and has a very consistent style to her work. She had great patience to work with us and we love her for that. As a planner myself, I've seen so many beautiful photos, but I sincerely gravitate to Catie's work!
I even made it clear to her and my friends that she would be my photographer for my wedding. When I got engaged, the first thing my now-husband asked, "Who do you want as our photographer?? I want it to be good since we are sort of having an elopement/destination wedding." I told him, "Catie!!" Even after he searched other photographers who have done multiple weddings at the venue, we kept coming back to Catie's work.
After the wedding, I had this nervous excitement to see a tag on my Instagram. Behold, it was a picture of me and my husband.. And it was jaw-dropping amazing! My husband to this day keeps telling me, "Best decision, hun!" So each time she tags us on a photo, my husband and I won't open it until he sits next me so we can see each other's reaction. As cheesy as that sounds, it really is nice to have the "wow" factor on our faces.
I say.. If you could have a photographer that nails your day perfectly and continues to amaze you with their work over and over again, GO WITH CATIE! Worth every penny spent.
My experience has been terrible as a bride to be! Trying to communicate with Catie has caused the most stress out of my entire experience wedding planning! We paid in full and plan...
ned to do engagement photos with Catie, however we had to cancel 3-4 times due to bad weather. Catie said she would refund us but The paypal refund was declined on her end once she finally sent it. She said she was having a bank issue and would get back to me.. That was 2 weeks ago! I've tried emailing, calling, trying to get in contact with her in every way possible to find out about our refund and no response. I understand if there's an abnormal issue and you need time to refund us... But some communication would be nice! This has been such an awful and stressful experience and we still have no refund or response from Catie! Be careful.
As parents of two brides, we've had the pleasure to work with Catie twice as she photographed our two daughter's weddings. Catie is simply amazing. She is a rare breed who puts her...
subjects at complete ease and captures the stunning emotion of a wedding. She was exceptionally easy to work with and was never, ever "in the way" at either of our girl's weddings. The pictures were beyond what we expected. She captured every detail of these special days and didn't miss anything. Catie is eager to work with people and goes out of her way to service her clients. Even little things like delivering save the dates in a special box with ribbon are not overlooked. Simply spectacular. Wedding photographers need to get it right the first time, every time. Catie more than delivers!
Our experience thus far has been better than I could have even imagined! My fiance and I were originally so worried about being photographed, but Catie made everything seem so natu...
ral. Her photos are gorgeous, but it is Catie that makes this experience perfect. She takes so much time answering my numerous questions and making me feel more at ease. Having Catie take our photos feels natural and more like a friend. I can never thank her enough for all she has done for us so far!
What most impressed me about Catie was that before agreeing to shoot our wedding she wanted to know about us as a couple - what our love story's past, present, and future is. She r...
eally cares about her couples and so takes the time to determine if she would be a good fit for them, but also if they are a good fit for her - and so begins the bond between Catie and her couples.
We immediately hit it off with Catie and have since bonded to the point that we consider her a friend. What could be awkward is simply comfortable, and being such, allows Catie to do what she does best in capturing magical moments.
Catie is very quick to respond when needed, and though she is busy (a good sign with photographers) she is very attentive and patient. We are so happy that we lucked into Catie being our photographer, and could not be happier that she will be with us on out special day!
Catie was amazing! When my family waited until the last minute before Christmas to try to get our portraits done, Catie came to the rescue. She drove all the way up from the bay ar...
ea to make sure we got our portraits done. She did an amazing job with capturing all of our moments throughout our session. Even with a 6 month old baby involved, Catie was able to get every picture. She was able to put a rush on the prints and editing to make sure we could get our Christmas cards out on time. I would refer Catie to anyone! We are very satisfied!!
Catie is Amazing! She did our photos for my husband and I with his military uniform, she was Great! We had so much fun, we laughed a lot, she made us feel really comfortable. She ...
also worked with me and gave me what I wanted. I wanted a couple of pictures with my husbands truck. She did a great job with us! I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. Our picture's came out wonderful! You wont regret it if you hire Catie!

nd our newborn sons first pictures when he was just 12 days old. She has followed our journey through life and gave us so many beautiful memories to look back on.
Catie is much more than a photographer, she is a friend. She is not pushy, fussy, or impatient. She wants to make you happy, get the shots that you want, get your ideas, and most of all she wants your pictures to be breathtaking, and that is what she delivers. I look at my wedding pictures and smile each and every time. I've never really felt like a pretty picture taking girl, but when I see my pictures, I am gorgeous!
I highly recommend this wonderful, talented and gifted woman to capture your moments that you want to remember forever. You will not regret it one bit, I don't!!!
Booking Catie as my wedding photographer was the best decision I made for my wedding. She was there from the engagement all the way through until our wedding day.
She is not only...
a pleasure to work with, but she is an amazing talent. Her photos are beautiful & she captures every important moment.
She is extremely personable & makes you feel so comfortable during the photo shoot. My husband & I are awkward in front of the camera and she got us through everything with love & laughter.
Do yourself a favor while your planning your wedding, and book Catherine Leanne. She will take care of the rest! You will not have any disappointments.
If you are looking for a wedding/engagement/baby/anything photographer look no further! Catherine Leanne did our engagement photos and I couldn't be happier, they are everything I ...
ever wanted, and more! I was super nervous about not wanting to look cheesy in the photos (Fake smile) and she totally captured the most intimate moments with my fiancé and I. It looks like we are just talking, and being ourselves, which is exactly what I wanted. I cannot even explain in words how her talent made our photos look. The saying "A photo is worth a thousand words" cannot be more true! Catie has a true talent with a camera, and knows exactly how to get what you want. She is the most genuine person I have ever met, and such a sweetheart. Seriously, if you need a photographer I highly suggest Catherine Leanne Photography. A+++++

We lucked out with Catie. As far as wedding photographers go you can't beat the price for her quality of pictures. Our wedding planner who knows many photographers in our area was ...
very surprised we found her and upon seeing her website, she encouraged us to hire her.
That was only the beginning of it--on our wedding day both Catie and her assistant were very patient and calm even when we made them wait for a couple of hours. We were running behind schedule so she offered to do my hair!! Not only did I end up with gorgeous pictures, but she also gave me a beautiful hair do.
When it was time for the bride and groom pictures after the ceremony, she made us feel super comfortable. My husband hates having his picture taken, but around Catie he didn't seem to mind at all. Both her and her assistant have a calm energy that put us at ease.
I couldn't have asked for a more genuine, helpful, and lovely photographer (and assistant). You can tell they love their work. Thank you ladies for joining us at our wedding.
