Scott's daughter is a pastry chef, so needless to say the cupcakes provided with the meal were exquisite. Not only was the food superb, the presentation was also very good. Dietary restrictions were also easily accommodated. Working with Scott to plan both the rehearsal dinner and reception was very easy. Any questions throughout the process were answered promptly. Scott not only provided assistance with the food, but he also provided great advice with planning other aspects of the reception. There just aren’t enough great things to say about this caterer. He has a genuine passion for his work and people in general, and you can easily feel that once you meet him. We had a fruit appetizer display, salad, two choices of protein, two sides, focaccia bread, wedding cake, and cupcake table- all included together in an incredibly reasonable package. Scotty organized and attended our tastings as well! He appeared in person at our wedding reception and warmly congratulated us like we had known each other for years. Everything was unbelievably delicious, and tasted like love and home. My husband and I just ate at his cafe in Bexley in celebration of our first wedding anniversary, and Scotty recognized us right away. Just imagine having a wedding vendor take care of you like you’re his own daughter- I will never forget it. Cannot recommend him enough. ❤️ P.S. the mashed potatoes will change your life.

He was so kind and made sure that when I had family members that had food allergies that he made separate dishes for them so that they could enjoy the food just like everyone else. He was also super amazing with accommodating for my brother who is unable to eat solid food it must be chopped up for him to eat it and Scotty made that happen for him so that he could have food. The deserts were amazing we had the cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries and everyone loved all of the deserts. I would 100% recommend Scotty and his crew at cater your wedding. dding and everyone raved about the food. Scott and his team prepared our cocktail hors d'oeuvres, buffet dinner, and after-dinner snacks. The cocktail hors d'oeuvres included an absolutely gorgeous cheese and vegetable spread which was absolutely perfect and a statement piece. Then, Scott's team masterfully managed our buffet table in which they quickly served our guests by carving the meat and personally served each of our guests with a smile and tremendous professionalism. Finally, the after-dinner snacks included a stunning display of fresh fruit and chocolate-dipped strawberries, customized cupcakes on an impressive tower, soft pretzels with customizable dips, and flavorful popcorn... all huge hits with us and our guests! Scott personally sat down with us numerous times and listened to what we wanted and enjoyed and worked hard to customize a menu and experience just for us... all the way down to custom-tailored snickerdoodle cupcakes because that was my favorite cookie... truly no detail left untouched. After the dinner, Scott and his team were remarkable in their fast clean-up and generous packing of all of the leftovers. Second, the service provided by Scott and his team were such a blessing. Scott and his team are prompt and quick at replying and will work hard to personalize your day down to the very last detail. Scott's personality is charming and he can light up any room... such a pleasure to work with. We did not have a wedding coordinator, and Scott even personally volunteered his time to help run our rehearsal and even stood in the back of the venue to help time the processional during the ceremony. That is the kind of guy he is... and the team he employs reflects his incredible heart and character. We would recommend Catering by Scott without reservation.

here were some things that Scotty brought up that I didn't think about or my wedding planner didn't mention so I was thankful for that. It took us a while to decide on food because again Scotty was pushing for food he liked and what was popular instead of what we wanted. (side note: IF you like mashed potatoes, he claims they are a must). We ended up doing an herb-roasted chicken and pork tenderloin. We thought the pork tenderloin was delicious but the chicken was dry. Scotty did guarantee that we would be able to try the appetizers from cocktail hour even though we had to take pictures during that time, however, they were cold once we got to our table. The most disappointing part of the night was that all along Scotty had guaranteed that he would send us boxes of food and desserts packed up for us to eat later that night. We did a sparkler send-off for our exit and left immediately after (which was all in the timeline) but quickly realized we were never given the food. Later that night, my mom was given the food right before they left the venue. Overall I think Scotty does a lot for the price he offers! He just may not execute everything he wishes to.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th anniversary and we asked Scott to cater our party. We went back to the ballroom where we originally got married and renewed our vows. Scott remembered exactly what we served our guests on our wedding day and recreated every last detail. I cannot tell you how many people kept telling us how fantastic the food was...everything from the main meal to the chocolate covered strawberries. If you want to have the best food in town and have it prepared and served by people who really care about you and your reception, then you really should choose Catering by Scott. You and your guests will LOVE it!

Scott's wealth of experience paid off in many ways from tips on working with hotels and other vendors since we're from out of town to being able to provide bartenders and guidance on alcohol selection since our choice of the Gahanna Sanctuary meant we had to cover more of the planning than we might have had to at other venues. William and his day-of crew were fantastic to work with. Prompt & courteous - I had the opportunity to converse with several of them before and after the event and they're all top shelf folks who truly lover what they do. This is my only daughter so I don't know that I'll ever be in the market for a large event caterer again but if I am Scott's my go-to.

The quality of their food is by far the best I have ever had in any event I have ever been to anywhere in the world! People should now Scotty also donates his time and services to many nonprofit charities and when he shows up it is with many smalls and hugs and kisses! He is truly one of a kind!

The staff wouldn’t even let me lift a box at the end of the day, they carried everything for me out to our cars. They were all so kind and thoughtful, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Scott has so much experience in the wedding world, I didn’t need a day of coordinator because he did it all for me. He made sure the flower girls went down the aisle on time, he made sure guests went to the right place for cocktail hour and served up the best food ever, followed by a beautiful and delicious dessert bar, coffee and chocolate covered strawberries. It’s all very impressive what they do and the price honestly can’t be beat! I cannot thank Scott and his team enough for all that they did for us leading up to the wedding and on the day of our wedding!
