e the 70s so I’ve always considered this island my home away from home…and my wedding at Casa Ybel is my favorite memory out of the 27 years I’ve been coming down. I can’t thank Joanne enough!!

families together after Covid! From the welcome bbq to the wedding to the farewell brunch! The staff fully took care of us and worked around the clock! Jessica and Joanne made our wedding vision come true and went above and beyond and we are forever grateful! Everyone that traveled had said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to! EVERYTHING WAS TRULLY PERFECT! Thank you! Can’t wait to return to celebrate our anniversaries!

Great staff! Made my wedding day phenomenal!
We had our rehearsal dinner at Casa Ybel and everything was perfect. The food and drinks were enjoyed by all and everyone liked the vegetable choices. I thought the mushroom, aspar...
agus and spinach dish was particularly creative. The Bluetooth speaker system worked well for us. The staff that night was wonderful in every way and I mean wonderful.
As a Wedding Planner, dealing with the venue is most challenging thing.

't have to work with a bunch of different vendors. The best part, the resort is absolutely STUNNING!
Casa Ybel brought my vision for our wedding to life! The staff was very professional and the service was great! Joanne was wonderful to work with as our wedding coordinator!

Casa Ybel was a beautiful location for our wedding. The accommodations were good, pool area and bar was excellent. We had some problems working with Staff. We had very limited cont...
act with Joanne until a few days before the wedding and then during the walkthrough we were told our social hour was inside and not by the pool like we expected and had to pay $1500 more than our initial contract. We ordered an extra appetizer that we can’t seem to find, none of our guests had any of them? The speaker we rented was never moved to the social hour but Joanne refunded us for that rental. Finally, the front desk staff were rude when asking for some payment information since it “wasn’t their job” because of the secret accounting team who is control of everything apparently. The cake and flowers we ordered from off site were excellent along with the photographer. My advice is to keep good records on what is agreed upon and have someone there you trust to oversee that things get done as you expected them to be. The Noseeums also can be bad and don’t show up until days later so be careful and put on repellent.
First class all the way!. Thanks to Joanne Kreise and her staff for making my day extra special.!
From the day we called to ask for information to the afterparty for the wedding itself, Joanne Kreise and her staff at Casa Ybel went above and beyond. Our daughter's wedding was ...
perfect from beginning to end. We had 75 guests who absolutely loved the 3 days we spent at the resort. From the beautiful rooms, to the landscaping of the resort, to the amazing beach and views, the resort and amenities perfection! The Welcome Dinner the first night! The food was amazing and plentiful The waitstaff and chef went out of their way to make sure it was such an incredible event. Then the wedding!! There are no words! From the beautiful ceremony on the beach, the cocktail hour on the lawn, the reception in the beautifully decorated tent and the after party in the restaurant bar we could not have asked for more! The most delicious food and service you could ever ask for. And Joanne was with us every single step of the way! We didn't stress over anything because she always had things under control. This is from the minute we booked the wedding months ago remotely from New York, to meeting us six months before the wedding when we were able to finally get to Sanibel to see the resort for the first time and she spent over an hour with us giving us every bit of information we needed to continue planning from afar. And then for every event (Welcome Dinner, picking up the bride from our room, leading the bridal party to the ceremony and throughout the ceremony, the Cocktail Hour and the Reception and then the Farewell Breakfast) Joanne was there taking care of it all. We were there to just enjoy the weekend's events and all of our family and friends. I give Casa Ybel kudos for an amazing wedding and I give Joanne Kreise a million stars - she was beyond incredible and we could never thank her enough!
We searched many venues in our quest for a destination beach wedding. We live in Illinois, and had to plan everything from a far. When we saw Casa Ybel, we knew this was the place....
Nothing else compared to the luxury and beauty of this venue!
Jessica and Joanne, and all the staff that we came into contact with, including Robert at the Thistle lodge, were phenomenal. We decided on a beach side ceremony, with a patio cocktail hour, and dinner upstairs in the waterfront room.
JoAnne was very helpful and communicative during the entire planning process. She even picked me up from my room and drove me and my daughter to the ceremony site in a golf cart so we didn’t have to walk and be seen. She and her staff also set up all of our decor, and did a beautiful job.
The food was fantastic. All of our guests raved about everything…from the shellfish bar at cocktail hour, to their main course. The serving staff was excellent.
We can’t wait to go back and celebrate our anniversaries here! It will forever be one of our favorite places.
Highly recommend!
Jessica and the catering staff were fantastic. They want above and behind to make sure everything was perfect. The food was perfect and the servers were on par.

JoAnn Kriese wedding planner at Casa Ybel is fantastic. I am although still waiting on a itemized bill I have asked for twice now. But I loved her. The resort is beautiful. Rooms ...
very clean and nice . JoAnn was very kind and did a great job. Treated our small ceremony as important as a large one. She was in constant contact with us . Reception room was beautiful , food was great and the service was great. Set up in the reception area was perfect.
Floral Artistry wasn't even close to what we had asked for. They are the floral vendor we used. Very disappointed in them . We supplied photos and drawings of what we wanted and was charged accordingly but wwwwaaaaaayyyyyyy off. They also said they RECORD all conversations between the bride to Be and them and still offered NO compensation for messing it up so badly. Would not recommend that floral vendor. We asked for two different colors of chaffon on the bamboo Arch on the beach , got to the ceremony and it was all White!! Terrible vendor. DO Not use!
Also we used Small cakes as the cake vendor. Also no where close to what we provided as a photo of the cake we wanted. Cake was pretty but we might as well have said" just do whatever you think" cause it was nothing like we ordered.
Folks just words to advise. When doing a destination wedding don't expect to get what you paid for from these two vendors.
We had an amazing experience working with Casa Ybel to plan our intimate beach wedding! The event manager, Joanne, was the best! She truly cares about making your day run smoothly....
The staff at the resort were very friendly and accommodating. The food was to die for. All of our guests really enjoyed it!

reciative of that. Our guests loved the resort; the beautiful landscape and everything in between. Our wedding day was made very special; the food, wonderful service and staff were hard to beat. Minus a few last minute changes that were made and some miscommunications from our coordinator, we are very happy to have had our wedding at Casa Ybel! Thank you to all for making our Sanibel wedding wonderful.
Casa Ybel Resort is an absolutely stunning location to have a wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better experience in working with Jessica Cardinale. Everything that the reso...
rt or Jessica could control went perfectly. A few of my favorite things about the resort during our wedding:
1. If you have your ceremony later in the day on the beach, all the beach chairs and umbrellas are carefully removed and the backdrop and setup for a ceremony is beyond stunning on the beach.
2. There is nothing more adorable than a walking down a wedding aisle that is sand. Natural, beautiful and memorable.
3. Pulling up in a golf cart in your wedding dress before walking down the aisle really makes the brides entrance unforgettable and unique.
4. Having the option for your guests to stay at the resort is WAY more helpful than you would ever think when planning a wedding and eliminates a lot of planning like transportation to and from, etc.
5. There is literally not a bad place on the resort to take pictures. Everything is current, classy and elegant.
I can see 100% why this is such a highly rated venue. Casa Ybel will forever hold a special place in our heart.

We look forward to anniversary’s there every year ! When it comes down to choosing Casa Ybel and Joanne for picking your wedding, We recommend them highly!

g filled with lush greenery, Casa Ybel truly has it all! Joanne and Jessica did a beautiful job helping me every step of the way throughout our whole wedding process! They are so accommodating and genuinely care that your wedding day go off exactly how you envision it. We held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception here and they put on each event to perfection! Once we arrived on site, every staff member was courteous and helpful. Did I mention the landscape is beautiful in photos?! Our whole day felt luxurious and to perfection! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful our wedding was and how the food was the best they have eaten at a wedding. Thank you Joanne and Casa Ybel for making our wedding day so magical!

icturesque with the beautiful waves crashing behind us. The cocktail hour was excellent with amazing hors d’oeuvres and a great liquor selection. Our dinner was outside on the patio and it was such a fun spot with a tropical vibe, and the food was phenomenal! All of our guests said it was the best wedding that they have ever attended. I highly recommend Casa Ybel. They made planning a wedding from MN so easy and stress free.

Where to start.... Casa Ybel was everything my husband and I were looking for and more! We knew very early in our engagement that we wanted to do a destination wedding on Sanibel, ...
and after the initial visit, we were absolutely captivated by Casa Ybel’s grounds and overall ambience.
Both Joanne and Jessica were ideal to work with while planning our special day, especially amid the pandemic.
We plan on coming back for years to come and will absolute be recommending the resort to all of our friends and family.
Casa Ybel was amazing!! Jessica and Joanne are fantastic as well as the rest of the Casa staff. My daughter’s wedding was in the middle of a pandemic and it was PERFECT! I can’t ...

Jessica, Joanne, and all of the staff at Casa Ybel helped us quickly plan, create, and experience a beautiful wedding weekend!! We loved that our family and friends spent the whole...
weekend onsite with us hanging beach and poolside. Food is amazing at the Thistle Lodge and it was at our reception too!! The ceremony was held on the green grass surrounded by the beautiful palms...we love the lush tropical feel of the resort. Side note: for an August wedding the breeze probably would have been better on the beach. The Gulfview Room for the reception has an incredible view! I recommend getting your guests up there before sunset to enjoy it. Our guests raved about the view and room.
Tropical meets Classy!
It was perfect...well we'd like to rewind and do some things over but that's a given. Try to slow down and enjoy your day...they say it flys by and it really does!
-Beyond happy with all the vendors they use and those we chose from the preferred vendors list.

remony was set up as I pleased and the worker was very accommodating. Additionally, Joanne, the day of coordinator, was so sweet. When she came to pick me up in her golf cart, I was slightly delayed secondary to some hair issues and she stepped right in to help make everything as stress-free as possible. If you are looking to get married in Sanibel, I would highly recommend Casa Ybel!

option for our reception so guests could cool down. The Thistle Lodge is just beautiful, we had our reception in the waterfront room upstairs. The view alone is stunning enough, but the Thistle Lodge itself is beyond words. Not to mention how delicious the food was! Casa Ybel exceeded our expectations in every way. It was truly the most gorgeous backdrop and the staff were all so kind and accommodating. Even in the midst of a pandemic they found a way to make our small wedding happen and make it special down to the smallest of details. My husband and I stayed at the resort for our honeymoon and will definitely be visiting again! There is no other place like it in all of Florida.
Casa Ybel was the perfect venue for my son's wedding when their "big" wedding had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Sanibel holds such a dear place in our hearts so their intimate ...
beach wedding was the perfect solution to their situation. The entire team at Casa Ybel did a stellar job. Jessica was patient and informative and very flexible during the booking process. Then Joann worked with the bride and myself during the quick planning process to be sure that every detail was covered. She even suggested we put more details into the table decor and that was a huge win as the tables and the reception room was beautiful and the perfect way to celebrate their new marriage. The Sailboat location for the wedding was perfection!! We hit the lottery with the weather and the sunset and the images are incredible. A huge thanks to the entire team at Casa Ybel for their kindness during what could have been a challenging time that turned to pure joy.
Everything about this resort was amazing. It’s absolutely beautiful and the staff was so nice and wonderful to work with.

Me and my husband got married at Casa Ybel on leap day, 2/29/2020 with 150 of our closest family and friends. We had an amazing time. The venue itself is stunning, both the ceremon...
y site and the happy-hour/reception site (only a few hundred feet away from each other). We hired Fabulously Chic Weddings, an outside wedding planner, who was instrumental in making sure everything was in order. The Casa Ybel staff were so pleasant and helped make our wedding day run seamlessly. If we had any issues, management and staff addressed them immediately. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone at Casa Ybel, we had a truly magical weekend of celebrations and we look forward to coming back (maybe for an anniversary trip!) soon.

Casa last year I knew it was a sign and decided to make it a reality. Joanne and her staff made all of my little girl dreams come true when they hosted us for our wedding this year. Absolutely everything went PERFECTLY and that is all thanks to her and the rest of the staff at Casa Ybel. The venue was gorgeously decorated, the food was fantastic, and everyone who worked the event was incredible. Thank Banquet captain (i apologize i forgot her name!) was so sweet and helpful, our bartender Kevin was fantastic, and everyone else who I didnt get a chance to formally meet just made it a night to remember.
I fell in love with Casa Ybel the first time that I stepped on the grounds. Casa Ybel proved to be a great place for our wedding. The location and set up for a beach wedding was ...
wonderful, especially for a couple from out-of-state.
Our guest stayed on the grounds during our wedding and loved Casa Ybel as well. With the exception of a few small hiccups during the planning process, it was relatively smooth and turned out to be a great experience for everyone. We love Casa Ybel and will be returning again this year!
Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island was the perfect place of our daughter and son-in-law's special day. The Resort is contemporary but maintains old southern charm and hospitality....
The grounds are beautifully maintained and the beach pristine which made for the wonderful backdrop to the beach ceremony and reception held on the lawn under a nicely set up tent. Jessica Cardinale, the director of sales and catering, Tori Weatherford, event coordinator, the wait staff and the very entertaining chef, made the day a dream come true. Our quests all remarked on the beauty of CasaYbel and the hospitality that was offered. Thank you Jessica for making a happen so efficiently.
Casa Ybel is such a beautiful, quaint resort. As a local wedding planner, I have worked at Casa Ybel many many times over the past 8 years and have always been extremely impressed ...
with their banquet staff, wedding coordinators, and food! A huge bonus for the resort is that they can include their gorgeous white tent with fabric liner, instead of having to rent it. That will save you thousands! For smaller groups the upstairs Waterfront Room is so beautiful with stunning view of the gulf! Overall, Casa Ybel is a favorite location of mine and I highly recommend it!!

The ceremony on the beach was perfect. The location is absolutely beautiful overlooking the Gulf of Mexico . The walk down the " Isle " was picture perfect .
We had our dinner in the waterfront dining room . The view ? It was a background of a tropical paradise for my guests . Ceiling to floor windows with the most beautiful view of the ocean and palm trees .My husband and I sat in front of the windows with that view behind us . Our pictures are beautiful . It was simply amazing . Every single guest at my wedding commented on how fantastic this venue was as well as the food . The majority of my guests were served plated Filet Mignon that was literally cooked to perfection . Many guests came up to us raving about the steak . " best filet I have ever had " How a venue can cook each and every steak perfectly is nothing short of magic!
This was truly the most amazing week of my life and choosing Casa Ybel and their lovely staff was just the best decision ever ! Other choosing each other.... !! Thank you Casa Ybel !! g day was, and we truly appreciated Tori's help and time with planning. The food was wonderful, and the restaurant/bar staff were helpful and provided exceptional service to us and our guests. We had a hurricane rain come through right as the ceremony was ending, and everyone was so accommodating to our guests and making sure everyone got from the ceremony to the reception quickly and with towels. Tori and Jeremy really rallied for us during this time and it meant a lot to us both! The venue is gorgeous and our experience was wonderful. Our day was filled with so much love and happiness, and we are so thankful to Casa Ybel for their part. 💕
