I could not have dreamed of a more perfect place to get married than Casa Monica. Having our wedding in St. Augustine allowed us to have the feel of a destination wedding without t...
he need for most of our family and friends who live in the area to travel too far. St. Augustine also provided so many walkable restaurants and bars for our guests to enjoy during our wedding weekend.
When I was looking for a wedding venue, I wanted a place where my family, wedding party and I could also stay. I also wanted a place that offered food and beverage to minimize the number of vendors I had to choose and simplify the planning process. Casa Monica checked both boxes. Everyone had such an amazing time. The Casa Monica team did a great job of checking in and helping with all our questions.
For the day of the wedding, we had our ceremony outside under the Sultan's Pavilion, the cocktail hour in the Flagler Pre-Function space, and our dinner, reception and dancing in the Flagler Ballroom. All the spaces were amazing. The Flagler room is particularly beautiful, and the interior and furnishings lent themselves to the wedding decor without us having to add too much on our own. The entire property also made for wonderful photos.
If you want a one-stop shop for your wedding that's anything but cookie-cutter, I highly recommend booking it at Casa Monica. I also found the pricing was more affordable than many of the other popular wedding venues in St. Augustine.
The venue was gorgeous, the food exquisite and the service exceptional. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day at the most beautiful place. The personalized service and t...
houghtfulness throughout will not be forgotten. Elizabeth always greeted us with the biggest and most warmest smile and the team went out of their way to accommodate each request.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Casa Monica, and stayed at the hotel for the weekend of our wedding. Originally we planned to have dinner on the poolside pavilion which is beautiful...
, but the temperatures dropped the week of the wedding and i was able to move dinner inside up until the morning of our scheduled event! Throughout the planning process, the event services team was great! Elizabeth, became our go to planner and helped me finalize menu choices and bar options and was even able to facilitate a few last minute changes. Joe was our event captain for the evening, and he was so great! We had a pretty strict dinner timeline to stick to because we had a private trolley tour at 8 and Joe made sure to keep everything running smoothly and on time. Our guests raved about the food and the service!
I'll begin by saying the Casa Monica is the only place (and I toured nearly every venue in St. Augustine) I would ever choose for my wedding reception. It is romantic, antique, ful...
l of art, and perfectly positioned in the heart of downtown.
With that being said, I was not pleased with the event services manager or her team.
Our initial conversations and venue tour were with another coordinator, who helped us meet our budget and responded to numerous phone calls/emails promptly. Unfortunately she left shortly after we made our first deposit.
I was introduced, via email, to our new "Event Services Manager" to work out a couple of payment processing problems, which she said were on their end.
Our real issues didn't come until our date was looming. I had to make several requests for the outlines we had discussed during the tasting. Another payment processing issue came up. I could not arrange reservations for our bride/groom suites. We needed to pay for/distribute vendor coupons.
Through all of these problems I could not get our event services manager on the phone, and she took 1+weeks to respond to emails. I decided to hire a day-of planner, per the manager's recommendation, and make another trip (since we live 1.5 hrs from St. Augustine). Needless to say, our event services manager was not available to meet us that weekend, and sent a colleague. My day-of planner was very polite, but made sure to express our concern about the delayed responses from the event services manager.
The truth was, I was overwhelmed with stress knowing my wedding was a month away.
When we made it to wedding week there were still questions waiting to be answered. And on the day of our wedding, the event services manager was touring another couple around the ballroom at the time she had assured me she would help set up.
I am so grateful I hired my day-of planner. Anyone having a wedding at the Casa Monica should hire one, for peace of mind.
Casa Monica was great to work with. Very helpful with my vendors and my guests. Food was INCREDIBLE!
I couldn't have chosen a better place to have my reception at. The FOOD was amazing! Courtney basically helped me plan my whole wedding! She pointed me to the best vendors! I absol...
utely loved everything about our reception. And we loved staying at the hotel that night!
Held our reception here and it was fantastic! Noel and Courtney are great and the service in general is spectacular. The food was amazing and the room was beautiful. Worth it!
I could not have been happier will everything. Courtney and her crew were so professional and accommodating throughout the whole planning process and the day of.

y wanted the pool for our reception. With the constant threat of rain in FL, we decided to take the larger ballroom and have cocktail hour at the pool. Guess what.... Two hours before the reception, it poured. They came and found me at the church and said they had to move the cocktail hour to the lobby. I knew there was another wedding in the other ballroom and was a bit worried about the overlap. However, it went off flawlessly and my family said it was a blast. My cousin even got to amaze everyone on the piano they had there!
The week before I was getting a bit bridezilla about our DIY centerpieces (take the advice and don't worry so much). They and the florist set everything up perfectly. They even broke everything down and had it waiting for us to pick up in boxes the next day.
Courtney's assistant was there to guide the whole night when she left. I had been asked before what our "preferred drinks" were. They made sure the bar was stocked. Someone must have been my personal steward too, because every time I turned around I had one! Ha!
Even with the other wedding there and the change in plans, they made everything feel so special and personal. It was a perfect night and I wouldn't have changed a thing.
p.s. The next day had perfect weather, of course. Being such an intimate hotel, our friends, my husband and I got to take over the pool and have our cocktail hour a day late! :)
Works in IE8, please check Add Ons and make sure they are not breaking functionality
We had our recent rehearsal dinner, wedding reception and honeymoon stay at the Casa Monica Hotel. It was a fairytale! The hotel itself is gorgeous. Its location is unbeatable. It ...
was perfect for our destination wedding since it is in the center of historic section and convenient for out of town guests.
The staff was extremely friendly! Our wait staff both for the rehearsal dinner and reception was the best I have ever seen at any wedding event. I was very pleased with everything they had to offer on site.
They were also great to work with during our 10 months of planning.
The venue is gorgeous and the staff very easy to work with. We had a lovely wedding.
One obstacle you may encounter is guaranteeing your guest count 7 days ahead. Make phone calls...
and confirm with guests you might think may not attend even though they RSVP'd Yes. Consider a consumption bar as another option to mitigate paying for liquor that may not be consumed, of course this can also work against you if you have heavy drinking friends. Be prepared that the day of the wedding there will be unfilled seats due to a multitude of reasons.
Rooms were roomy an sapceous, my guests liked. On the expensive side
We had a wonderful time at this hotel!!
Several years ago my now husband and I were in St Augustine for New Years and took a picture outside the Casa Monica and at the time I told him "coming to a theater near you in a f...
ew years"..I never dreamed we would actually get married there! The hotel itself is amazing. The ballrooms have character that allows for the convenience of a hotel without having the traditional boring ballroom with sliding wall feel. The decor is incredibly ornate and provides for a more boutique feel than the traditional corporate hotel. Everyone we worked with was responsive and professional and truly worked to meet our needs! Courtney was our wedding coordinator and took time to respond to my many long emails- making sure to answer any and all questions up until the last minute! The food was out of this world as was all of the staff that facilitated a smooth reception. Furthermore, after looking at numerous venues both in Orlando and St. Augustine, the Casa Monica was the only site that offered a full cocktail hour and 4 hour reception which I think made the difference in allowing my husband and me to have time to actually experience the reception (and eat!). We couldn't be happier with the way the reception went and definitely will be back to visit the hotel in the future!
We used the Casa Monica hotel as our reception caterer. They provided service off site for us and did a wonderful job! The food was wonderful and the white glove service was excell...

The hotel was fantastic. The special events coordinator Erin Johnson was always on top of her game. We were pleased, our guests were impressed, and everything came out beautiful.

e our wedding should be. The second we saw Casa Monica we fell in love and knew we had to have our wedding there. We did not have our ceremony at the Casa Monica because we had a different idea of what we wanted our ceremony to look like but I have seen pictures of couples that have had their ceremony on the pool deck and they were very beautiful. The staff at the Casa Monica really went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly and were so attentive to us during our reception. Throughout the planning process, the coordinators, Erin and Caroline, were always quick to respond to my questions. I could not have asked for anything more from them! All of our guests loved the site and we heard repeatedly it was the prettiest wedding they have ever been to. The food was phenomenal as well! St. Augustne and the Casa Monica are truly gems in our state.

of cooridinating my event at the hotel and followed through even after the honeymoon!
Beautiful Hotel and is well known in St. Augustine. Very castle like and accented in orange classic decor.

e our reception a wonderful party fit for a bride and groom's celebration!
The venue itself is so beautiful and needed minimal wedding decor. Our wedding guests had the option to stay at the hotel-- those who did raved about the old-world charm of the hotel as well as the location of the hotel to historic downtown. Casa Monica has a yummy wedding day menu selection. So much so, that we opted to hold our Sunday farewell breakfast there the next morning!
We highly recommend the Casa Monica for your wedding day event!
absolutely beautiful hotel, you will pay per night but is absolutely worth it.
we are staying again this summer.

ecember and although the weather was cooler than expected everything came out so beautiful and all my out of town guests were equally impressed by the venue, the food and the service! My wedding planners, Erin and Caroline, were extremely helpful and without their guidance I never would have had the opportunity to work with other great vendors like PRI Productions for my decorations. I would happily recommend the Casa Monica to anyone getting married in St. Augustine!

nce interior, old-Florida charm, convenient location, and literally steps away from several beautiful churches...including the oldest catholic church in the United States! Erin Johnson was friendly, responsive, more than accommodating, and helped us build an incredible reception within our budget, literally within about $100! We didn't lift a finger the entire wedding day and everything ran seamlessly. We would recommend Erin Johnson and the Casa Monica to anyone!

I've always expected great things on my wedding and nothing could compare to the touch of class offered at the Casa Monica. The ambiance is like a setting pulled from a fairytail....
The staff was extremely friendly and always available to discuss making my wedding day perfect. Erin Johnson did an amazing job!!! We live in Orlando, and could not pass up the opportunity to be in a city with such charm and have the Casa Monica to share our celebration with friends and family. Everyone loved it!!!! The food, accommodations, and staff were beyond comparable to any other place we considered. We actually plan to visit the Casa Monica every year on our anniversary! We can't get enough of it. Even if we are only in town for the day, we stop by for their phenominal dinner or spectacular brunch.

tup was extraordinary, the food was delicious and the service, exquisite. The wedding pre-planning was stress-free and exciting. Every step of the pre-planning was a pleasure. Working with Erin Johnson and Caroline has been a delight. My husband and I received a multitude of complements regarding the reception and food but most of all regarding the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. You can easily see that it is not just a job for them but something that comes from the heart. Every staff member went out of their way to ensure that it was a perfect day. My husband and I look forward to planning many more functions in the future. Accolades to the Casa Monica and its' superb staff. Thank you for making this day a dream come true.

e at this hotel. We had an amazing buffet breakfast brought up to the room for everyone to enjoy. The suite that they gave us had this huge open sitting room that all the stylist and vendors could set-up to 'work' on us. It was the best location for getting ready...I would not have changed a thing.
