Carol made my daughter's wedding cake and let us come to her home with family to taste and make selections beforehand. Delivered on the day and time as promised and she put our top...
per on. Many compliments and my daughter and now son were happy and so were the guests and especially the groom's Dad and my Mom and that's what I aimed for!
Upon meeting with Carol for our "Tasting" she presented us with a single smidgen of almond cake and buttercream frosting while she proceeded to tell us about all the other fla...
vors she could make. It was obvious that that cake was not fresh. However we did get to try a few other flavors at the bridal show where we first met her. She has a great variety of cake designs and is willing to work with you on how you would like the cake presented. Those options come with a Variable cost, more on this in a minute, she takes a refundable extra $25 dollars for the plank of wood she brings the cake on, refunded on returned. However make sure to check the math of her offer, while reasonable at first..She called us about 2 weeks before the wedding saying she made a mistake in her calculation and wanted an additional $58.00 because her original calculation was off and even though we had already "Paid in Full" she expected that before she guaranteed the delivery of the cake. At the time of delivery, while we we're at the alter, she told the volunteer that we left behind to hand all of the deliveries, That "he dowels she had in the cake, plus the fancy ribbon you can see around the middle of the cake in the picture, would also have to be returned or there would be additional charges...She reuses the Ribbon from cake to cake and as I said above she had already charged us extra for using it in the first place! The cake itself was a bit dry although flavorful (Lemon Cake with Raspberry filling) Not all guests got filling in their cake, it seemed unevenly distributed and again not everyone got filling in their piece of cake.
With it seeming reasonable at first cost-wise we went with Carol for our wedding cake, but with all the extras and the last minute return this or else add-ons we would have made other choices.
Not only was the cake delicious it looked awesome too, she created exactly what I envisioned! Tons of guests commented on how moist it was. She even gave us an anniversary cake alr...
eady wrapped for our freezer!
I loved working with carol, her prices are reasonable, very professional and kind. She was the first cake testing and the last. Everybody commented on how great the cake was
Carol let us try a sample of cake to give us an idea of what it would taste like and there are no words to decribe it! It was like nothing we have every tried before. She also has ...
a wonderful display of the different kinds of cakes that she can make. She also showed us many pictures of cakes that she has made in the past so if you are not sure what you want, take a look at the pictures. Lots of ideas there to help you decide.I would highly recommend her to family and friends. She is awesome!
The cake was delicious and it looked fabulous! What else can you ask for? And Carol was great to work with, too!
Carol is such a genuinely nice and professional person. Our experience during the consultation and tasting was great. The cake was beautiful and exactly what I had imagined and it ...
tasted amazing!
Carol did a fantastic job on our wedding cake! We had a consultation to pick out the design and flavors and it was that easy. She does this business out of her house so there is ...
no expensive overhead, which makes her prices very reasonable. Her cakes are more traditional in style, but she is flexible to do new designs etc. She has many unique shapes like paisley and diamond, mine was an oval cake. The cake itself is moist and has great flavor. I was an out of town bride and she was so great to work with me on my schedule. I would highly recommend Carol!
