Carolina Media Star

f we didn't have a photographer yet, we HAD to check out Carolina Mediastar! With one glance of their website, we immediately sealed the deal :) Terry shot our engagement pictures, and to say we had fun is a complete understatement!! We obviously were only supposed to have a set amount of time for our pictures, but he never once made us feel rushed or looked at his watch as if we were being a pain (even though I know we were!!), and he really helped us enjoy our shoot with his great personality! Sarah and Josh were the lucky ones to come shoot our big day, and I honestly cannot say enough about these two! Again, they brought out the absolute BEST in every image we received. They were fun and interactive with all of our guests, and they had our crazy sense of humor, which made them that much MORE enjoyable to work with!! Sarah is SUPER responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls, which made our process completely stress-free. And although it felt like forever to get our final pictures back, I can promise you it was worth the wait!! You can definitely see the love and effort they put into the editing process to make sure every picture looks like something from a magazine!! There is a reason these guys have the rating they have...I promise you will not be disappointed in this team! They are amazing!! :)

d comparing other companies to Carolina MediaStar. I just knew we had to go with them and am so glad we did. They are the best value and all of their pictures are stunning! From the very beginning, Sarah was super responsive, detailed, and addressed all of my questions. She is so friendly and accommodating, and I wish I had met her in person. Terry shot our engagement pictures and then Terry and James did our wedding. We took 1 hour from our wedding package for the engagement pictures but Terry literally spent 3 hours going to 6+ locations on UNC campus so that I could get the engagement pictures I envisioned. It was the first time we took professional pictures together, so we felt awkward at first, but Terry was so fun and relaxed that we really opened up and had a great time. Everything went by so quickly on our wedding day but Terry and James were always there to capture everything for us. Terry will literally get on the ground to make sure he gets that perfect shot, and James is so detail-oriented -- they just worked perfectly together. They are a family company and I'm sure any one of them will produce amazing work. They edit every single picture they give you, which is incredible. Whatever small picky things I asked for, they accommodated and were so easy to work with. Even when the sun was close to setting, Terry and James showed us pictures they had just taken on their cameras and we were always so amazed at how incredible the photos already looked. They are so talented, experienced, and will deliver the most beautiful, vibrant photos you could ever ask for. So many of our guests keep asking us who our photographers were because they were so amazing and fun! We received 65 teasers (way more than I expected) and I can't wait to see the full portfolio! They are truly phenomenal.

municated at our initial meeting at a bridal show in Raleigh, and I was told by the owner they could do anything. Needless to say I was over sold by them. Photos were not edited as promised, didn't get any photos of my husband and I together really, and what we did get was because I requested. I made suggestions for bridal portraits and was told we couldn't do that, only to see the same thing I suggested be done by another vendor with another bride. On my wedding day, the head photographer Sarah and I actually got into an argument. They asked us to meet at the capital building ( keep in mind it's 30 degrees outside) only to have to wait outside nearly 30 mins for her, her husband and brother to arrive. We were coming from the same place! (Her husband and brother were nice, my husband and his groomsmen were lucky to have them) Sarah wanted to take photos in front of a cement slab, or in front of a bundle of chopped up wood in down town that was there due to a tree falling from a recent snow storm. My wedding was done at the City Club Raleigh, there was better places to take photos. It's been over a year later, I am just getting my album. (Part of that is my fault due to selecting photos)I had one request to add my middle name Marie to the cover. Of course when I received my book it only had my first name Toni. Their excuse... Mis-communication. But they would order another I just needed to meet them at a bridal show and exchange. I have decided to keep the album with only my first name because I just want to be done with them! I have been so inconvenienced by this company. They portray themselves to be larger and more capable than what they are. So,again if you are looking for a basic, point and shoot company, that get a lucky shot every now and then. This is a company you'll be satisfied with.
