Keryn Presutti and her team were so helpful and intentional with our menu, translating my mishmosh list of "foods/flavors that feel like us" into a beautiful assortment of foods that meant loads to both of our families. Their catering staff's timing was impeccable, walking around with little desserts during a conga line which I know is the only reason a lot of our guests managed to get dessert. 10/10 would recommend again!

to bring in outside catering. Upon completing a tasting with the Capers team, we were immediately convinced that they were the right caterers for us. Our wedding was a multicultural wedding, with both Indian and American cultures and cuisines we were seeking to blend, including a large number of vegetariians. Capers did a great job creating a menu that met the broad flavor profiles we were hoping to provide guests with. For our hors d'oeuvres, Capers came up with a fantastic combination of passed appetizers, including a few that were Indian themed (i.e. corn pakoras, samosa bites, spiced pumpkin soup) as well as a few New England themed (i.e. mini lobster rolls, autumn pizzettes). For our main courses, Capers created 3 amazing dishes for guests to choose between, including a chicken served with a truffle arancini, a halibut served with a squash puree, and an Italian eggplant stuffed with garam masala vegetables served with basmati rice. Each dish was unique and extremely tasty - the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and, importantly for us, the vegetarian dish was also special and incredibly delicious. Passed desserts afterwards were also fantastic. Annaliese and the whole Capers team was a pleasure to work with throughout the process, and the whole Capers service team on the day of our wedding, from the bartenders to the servers, were incredibly professional. We had a fantastic experience working with Capers and would wholeheartedly recommend them!

Everything was uniquely creative, delicious and impeccable, while accommodating all of our guests’ dietary restrictions. They did a great job prepping, batching and mixing on our specialty cocktails, which were quite involved. Chefs, servers and bartenders were highly skilled, professional, friendly and responsive. Capers are not a cheap option, but they certainly deliver top notch food and service. We highly recommend them!

The food was delicious as well, and we made sure there was plenty of it! Capers was also quite transparent about the costs while developing the menu and obtaining rentals. Our one complaint was that they gave us a very precise estimate beforehand for the per-person cost of the consumption bar, and then afterwards, the final bill was ~50% more than that per person. While people definitely enjoyed themselves at the bar at our wedding and I don’t doubt that we would be in the top end of a bar bill range, it would have been nice to have a larger expected range of bar costs while planning

My dad (an extreme carnivore) actually came up to me after dinner and told me how he was surprised at how much he enjoyed the dinner and that it was surprising that it tasted so good without having any meat in it. Keryn was so wonderful and organized the entire time, a total pleasure to work with. And then on the actual wedding day, I felt so taken care of. Capers even put together a plate of all of the passed hors d'oeuvres while we were taking pictures during cocktail hour.

From our tasting on site to multiple iterations and edits up until the week before, they did nothing but exceed expectations. Every member of the staff we interacted with from the chef, event coordinator (special shout out to Anneliese), bar manager and bar staff to game day servers were top shelf. Our guests still talk about the tuna tartare macrons and the mini short-rib Yorkshires with horseradish cream. The passed desserts and mini espresso martinis late night were also a hit. We got so many compliments on the food, with special praise for the Peach Salad with Crispy Prosciutto; some of our guests even said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, and they've been to a lot of weddings. We also thought the servers at our wedding were truly excellent. We found that the tasting was really crucial - we really loved some but not all of our initial choices, and we worked with Capers to get to a menu where we absolutely loved all of it.

rganized communication and their proposal pricing was in line with two other caterers we looked at. We were excited to work with them for one of the most important parts of our wedding – the food!
The good news about Capers is that everything is à la carte….incredible choice in everything from food to linens to glassware to the equipment they need to create your wedding meal. This can also be a downside. Unfortunately, we were underquoted in our early proposals (due to missing a la carte equipment charges) and then we were subject to a price increase by the vendor they use for every rental item (Peak Event Services). When the missing equipment and rental price increases were added in, our estimated total had increased by over $2,000 for equipment alone on the same menu and same guest count as we had started with.
Rachel was our sales manager and handled this situation exceptionally well. She worked with Emma to understand what had happened and we all came to an agreeable solution. Throughout the process, Rachel was very helpful, responsive, flexible and diligent in working through all of the details with us leading up to our wedding day.
On the wedding day, the food was all lovely and delicious. The Capers event staff were professional and courteous. While they packed us some leftover hors d’ouevres, we never got any of the leftover cheese station or dinner meals.
All in all, we were pleased with Capers and they played a big role in our wedding day. Prospective clients should be aware that the “everything à la carte” approach is both very flexible but also more expensive than other vendors who have their own equipment and more of a package offering.

The food was absolutely stunning! Capers has a wide variety of interesting menu options, far beyond your typical wedding dishes. We ended up going with BBQ, Asian, and fall seasonal stations, in addition to an assortment of fun appetizers, plus gourmet donuts for dessert. The food was unique, gorgeous, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! They were also able to make special accommodations for our guests with dietary restrictions, so everybody left with a full belly. Many guests told us that this was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We definitely agree!
For the bar, Capers was able to handle all of our special requests and provided a unique selection of craft beers, ciders, seltzers, as well as plenty of wine and liquor options. They did a great job of finding cool, local brands that gave the bar a much more upscale feel without breaking the bank. The signature cocktails that they designed for us were both beautiful and delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about them!

My favorite part? Servers carried trays onto the packed dance floor to offer everyone bite-sized desserts, including homemade Hanukkah doughnuts filled with strawberry jam. What a hit!
I can't recommend Capers Catering enough. Next time I'm hosting a wedding or similar event, I'll go straight to them.

rom the hor devours to entrees and dessert-- and they had wonderful ideas to highlight my husband and I's cultural differences with Filipino food and Jewish food! But i was further impressed with how well they took care of us with the postponing of our wedding due to COVID. they made the transition so smooth, easy and stress free. They frequently checked in and were just a joy to work with. Max was WONDERFUL and was so easy to communicate with not just with ourselves but our other vendors. He really had our back and we were so impressed with him! The day of our wedding, Max was always checking in on my husband and I and made sure we were happy and had a drink in hand! He's the greatest. Along with that to show how wonderful Capers is, Catherine, whom we initially met with in 2019, although she had since started a new job elsewhere, still came to our August 1 wedding and was just amazing as well! That really showed us how devoted all Capers Catering members us. Overall, food was DELICIOUS, presentation was beautiful and everyone was just so lovely to work with. My husband and I looked forward to having our dishes on the wedding day, and they did not disappoint. Not only was the food good, but their service was terrific as well. We had to make some layout changes on the last day because of hurricane Elsa, and the people at Capers adapted very fast and nicely. Originally we were going to use the inside and outside of the venue, but we had to move everything inside. Because of this, Capers had to move the ceremony chairs and set around eight big tables during cocktail hour. They managed the transition perfectly, and the servers were very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend them for your wedding. I know my husband, and I will go with them if we have an event in the future.

We had some non-traditional requests (like a buffalo chicken dip display instead of a cake cutting) and they took them all in stride and made sure our day was perfectly "us" without having to sacrifice it all going super smoothly.
The food was delicious and people are still talking about it! We loved that they prioritized what was in season and using local and organic ingredients when possible.

From the beginning, our tasting was beautifully presented and delicious – our parents were still raving days after. Capers Catering made the whole wedding experience seamless. They took care of all the details for rentals, allergies, dietary needs, timeline and floor plan. The day of service was professional and attentive. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the quality of food and friendly staff. Capers Catering went out of their way to make sure every detail was perfect. We highly recommend them!!!!

ir staff is so professional and helpful and just a dream to work with. My husband and I were planning our wedding from the west coast and everyone at Capers made the task so much easier for us. Kerri, who managed our event, did an incredible job putting everything together and ensuring things ran smoothly day-off, and it really felt like she went above & beyond for us. When I walked into the venue and saw everything set up it I was so impressed! It's also worth noting that since my husband and I are both vegetarians, we had an entirely vegetarian menu, which our meat eating friends didn't even notice because the food was so good. I couldn't recommend this company highly enough!

We did not use a wedding coordinator — I managed both events as the mother of the bride and groom. I could not have done this without the full support of the Capers crew. They asked all of the right questions during the planning phase, were creative with suggestions, paid attention to the details, and went above and beyond the day of the wedding. Most importantly, they created two events that perfectly reflected what the brides had envisioned and ensured that we all enjoyed a stress free celebration.
A five star rating is rare for me, but Capers earned every one!!

efore we had tasted any of their food we decided to book Caper's based on how at ease we were with Kristin and their great reviews! From there they truly were full service! We had to bring everything into our venue and Kristin and Kerri handled all of our rentals and coordination. It was such a huge help and made it so that we had a lot less to worry about. About 5 months before our wedding they invited us to the launch of their mobile bar at our venue. It was so thoughtful and great to see the venue in that setting. A few weeks later we had our tasting, and if we weren't convinced before we knew we made the right choice! Everything was delicious and hearing the chef talk about how they make everything and how intentional and thoughtful they are about everything got us so excited! We gave some guidance, but really let Caper's give us what they do best for the menu and we couldn't have been happier. We also got to see the mobile bar up close again and decided to book it! In the weeks leading up to the wedding Kerri and Kristin were on top of everything and so responsive, we knew our wedding was in good hands! On the day of everything was set up perfectly! Kristin met my husband and I with a tray of hors d'ouevres, which were delicious. I knew that actually eating was going to be a priority for me because the food was so good. We had stressed that we wanted as much time for dancing as possible and Caper's had the salads preset on the table and managed to serve 246 people their entrees in about 20 minutes, it was unbelievable! Everyone talked about how great the food was and how attentive the staff was, there was never an empty glass during dinner! For dessert we opted for a donut wall and the brownie pops. Both were delicious and a huge hit. I can't stress how good the brownie pops are! Caper's also handled the alcohol for our wedding and were great in that aspect! They made great recommendations and found ways to save money. They also made us a blueberry vodka lemonade that was delicious! The mobile bar was a huge hit. Our one complaint is that we ran out of beer and glasses towards the end of the night. Besides that everything was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend Caper's enough. They are truly a full service caterer and the BEST at what they do!

The tasting was amazing and since we had a lot of gluten free guests, they put together a gluten free menu that everyone would love. The food was incredible! The day of they made sure my husband and I sat down and ate. They also packed up leftovers for us – which we were so grateful for! We truly could not recommend working with Capers enough!

ng job, the event was simply perfect. Fabulous food, including tiny, one-bite lobster rolls during the cocktail hour; wonderful locally sourced and inspired entrees; excellent dessert and coffee bar. The service was impeccable, attentive yet unobtrusive. Phil was very creative in helping keep the budget manageable, suggesting cold brew coffee for our summer afternoon event, but also going the extra step to provide hot coffee to my mom who drinks nothing else. Our guests with special dietary needs had nothing to worry about, because Phil had requested a spreadsheet with each guest's name, entree order, and food restrictions so that the service staff was always aware of any special needs. He replicated a signature cocktail based on a recipe we gave him, then added a specially created garnish to go with it. There was no detail left unattended, our guests raved about the food and wine, and best of all we were free to enjoy the party. You won't go wrong choosing Capers for your event.

Kerri and Kristin were both fabulous to work with leading up to the wedding- organized, responsive, kind and positive. The staff at the wedding made sure my husband and I were always being fed and had a drink in our hand, and they reminded us to sit down and eat. When we told them we loved the salted butter for the rolls at the table, they packed a whole container for us to take home (along with two full entrees, tons of leftover cheese, cake, hor d’oeuvres, crackers). e staff were fantastic. They organized a tasting for us with only a few days notice and were so responsive every time we had questions or wanted to change the menu. We were also finishing up two graduate degrees and moving during the planning process and Kerri kept us on track without pressuring us or adding any stress. All of the food was delicious, but I was particularly impressed that the chefs provided one of the best vegetarian options that I have seen at an event. We're so happy we chose Capers!

The tasting was fun and gave us an opportunity to meet further and discuss our vision for the day. We decided on stationary hors d'oeuvres and Kristin suggested having passed drinks instead, which was a huge hit.
Kerri was our day-of coordinator and we could not have asked for anyone better. I didn't realize how much we needed someone for this job and she arranged a meeting with our venue coordinator the week before our wedding. She seamlessly coordinated with our vendors and took care of the minor details (shape of ceremony seating arrangement, favor placement) that were not even on my radar. Even better, she met us after the ceremony with cocktails in hand and made sure we took time to grab a bite to eat.
The food was phenomenal and exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a classic New England wedding and Capers worked with us to create a menu using seasonal ingredients. They were accommodating of our guests with allergies and triple checked the seating arrangements for us. Waitstaff was professional, both on top of everything while being out of the way. We had decided on serving donuts in lieu of cake and they even had a beautiful display wall available! Overall, Kristin and Kerri helped make our wedding even more special and we can't recommend them enough!

The tasting was impressive and they made sure that we knew any variations or recipe choices would be accommodated. They walked us through choices for decor, tables etc. in their showroom and made the process very smooth and anxiety free. One thing that really impressed us from the start was their attention to detail and note taking; they really listen to what you are saying.
The wedding itself went off without a hitch. We did buffet style with multiple entrees (including a vegetarian/gluten free option) and several appetizers prior, followed by an ice cream bar. Everyone, from the pickiest eaters to the walking garbage disposals, raved about the food. We were so relieved and impressed that everyone loved the food, as you want to take care of guests spending their time and money to be with you. The manager even prepared plates for us while we got guests settled for dinner, which we thought was very thoughtful and attentive.
Again, the service and attention to detail was phenomenal. During the walk through of the venue, Gabrielle noted in passing that she would make sure the wedding party got to try the apps while we were doing photos during the cocktail hour. Sure enough, Gabrielle made two trips personally to make sure the wedding party was taken care of!
We could not give a higher praise of Caper's, Gabrielle and Kate. From service to food, the experience was absolutely perfect.

I did not need to worry about anything, even with some rain and last minute decisions to make Kerri and Kate are so highly skilled in every aspect of their catering craft everything went so smoothly, from set-up to timing, all of details were flawless! The caliber of service was exceptional and the menu was absolutely amazing, from presentation to taste - truly a fine dining experience. My husband and I consider ourselves pretty well versed foodies and during dinner he leaned over to me and said "I think this is the best salmon I've ever had". It was so much more than typical wedding food and just a perfect day for everyone, especially the bride and groom. I wouldn't change a thing, Capers is amazing!

They are SO professional. We had to bring in all tables/chairs/plates into our venue and Capers helped coordinate all the rentals! It was amazing! They also helped us create a floorplan and were super responsive to feedback yet were very thoughtful in their approach. We wanted to do a passed nacho snack during dancing and Capers was able to create these amazing nacho cups! Our guests kept commenting that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding!
