Perfect experience. Excellent communication and food, beautiful garden and river, and very easy. They took care of everything required of a venue, caterer, and cake provider, which...
made planning much simpler. When the rain came down and the power went out, they handled it extremely well, taking everything scattered outside for cocktail hour in, providing umbrellas, keeping everyone out of the rain and under the tent, and even sweeping out the water from the puddles that were forming due to the torrential downpour. I couldn't have asked for more.
I cannot say enough good things about my wedding ceremony/reception at Canoe. The setting is stunning, the food is exceptional, but the thing that really sets this venue apart is t...
he level of professionalism and attention to detail that the staff/event planner consistently deliver. I absolutely LOVE DOLLY! She made the day seamless from start to finish. I have personally worked in banquet serving in my 20's, so I know all the little details that go on behind the scenes to ensure a successful wedding. Dolly was a prompt communicator from the moment we booked the venue and provided answers to the multitude of questions my fiancee and I had. She ensured our big day went smoothly with a reassuring, friendly smile the entire time. If you are looking for a memorable wedding in a magical place put on by even more fabulous people, look no further than Canoe!
Hosting our reception with Canoe was hands down the best decision we made to celebrate our day! We (really I) made the amateur choice to plan everything myself but the Canoe events...
team were beyond helpful coordinating all the final details with us and the day went perfectly.
The River Garden area gave us the most picturesque backdrop for photos but there was still plenty of covered tent space to make the decor our own.
If you've ever been to the restaurant you know the food is phenomenal - while the menu for events is different you'll have a difficult time finding something your guests won't like.
And the best part? We get to come back to the day every year for our anniversary.
One of the most beautiful venues in Atlanta. The fact that they include the catering and cake, just made it that much easier for us. Delicious food, friendly staff, amazing cake, a...
nd the backdrop made for fantastic photos. We were truly blessed to have both our ceremony and reception there and it could not have turned out any more perfect!
Canoe is fantastic! The venue setting is beautiful, and the food was incredible. I am still getting compliments about our rehearsal dinner menu two months after the event.

rvers did an amazing job as well. They even helped me carry out bags of tablecloths & boxes of decorations at the end of the evening.
Thank you for doing such a spectacular job and helping to make this a very special memory. I highly recommend Canoe!
Dana, Dolly, Laurie, you are gems. This is the best wedding venue in Atlanta if you want a beautiful, intimate, lush background and the best food for your guests. You gracefully an...
d calmly handled a hurricane for us, and made a chaotic day seem like a breeze. You handled everything - from umbrella escorts, to flower girls needing a helping hand, to making sure we were on schedule, and it was all so appreciated. The staff that night was phenomenal, helpful, and so genuine in their care of our guests. The food was amazing, especially our cake, and we could not have had a more perfect wedding. (Well, maybe if it hadn't been a downpour exactly at ceremony time! LOL!) Thank you, thank you, thank you. Canoe is and will always be our happy place :) Love, Jaime and Eric
Canoe is such a hidden gem of a wedding venue. The setting was majestic, and many of our guests from the Northeast described it as "feeling like they were in the Hamptons". The f...
ood was delicious, the cake was scrumptious, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful place for our special day. Now, we look forward to going back to Canoe to celebrate our anniversaries!
best i could have asked for. dana and laurie were perfect and i wouldnt have changed a thing.
If anyone knows anything about the canoe, you know that they serve wonderful food!! And on the Chatahoochee river.
Laurie and her assistant were spectacular---they were like hav...
ing your own personal wedding day planner---they guided the whole evening perfectly.
Wide range of food to choose from, you have no choice but for rest. to make the cake which i was a little hesitant about, but they made my cake as perfect as I had shown--and frankly it was the best cake we had all tasted!!!! Bride arrives 1 hour before and you have this beautiful wine room to get ready in. Our wedding was in august..so the gardens were stunning as usual. They have waiters filling your glasses the whole night--nice.
The only downfalls were---no florals aloud on ground during ceremony and that they assurred me using a IPOD for music would be fine for a reception of 50----the fans and thunderstorm drowned it out, bad idea. In cooler weather where fans are not on---it would have worked perfectly.
Overall--all the guests have raved on how beautiful to have a wedding at the Canoe---venders were extremely impressed!! Check it out----in Aug they reduce pricing quite a bit to make more affordable:):)
