From our very first conversation, Sharla made us feel so cared for. She pours her whole heart into every wedding, and collaborating with her to bring our dream floral vision to life was easily one of the most fun and special parts of our wedding planning. I didn't know much about specific flowers going in, but Sharla brilliantly took my messy ideas and Pinterest boards and translated them into cohesive perfection. Communication was completely effortless and she was always so warmly available, responsive, and ready to guide us every step of the way. She was also incredible at working with us on budget transparency and flexibility, helping us make the absolute most of our investment while still delivering a high-end, luxurious look. What made everything feel even more deeply meaningful was knowing that Sharla and Clyde grow many of their flowers right on their own local farm. Having fresh, beautiful blooms grown with love right here in our hometown area added such a unique and personal touch to our day that we’ll treasure forever. On the wedding day, Sharla and her team handled set-up, full installation, and tear-down flawlessly so we didn't have to worry about a single thing. When we walked in and saw the final setup, it completely took our breath away—it was beyond our wildest dreams! Every single arrangement, down to the smallest detail, was exquisitely crafted and overflowing with beauty. The blooms were so fresh and high-quality that they lasted for days after the wedding so we could continue enjoying them at home. So many of our guests were genuinely stunned and couldn't stop raving about how gorgeous the florals were. Sharla is an absolute joy to work with, both as a brilliant artist and a truly kind human being. We are forever grateful to her for making our wedding day feel so magical!

    I have worked as a floral designer for over 30 years. In 2019 my partner Clyde & I began growing specialty cut flowers in northern Virginia. This led us down the path of designing flowers for local weddings & events. The magic that flowers can add to a wedding is what drives my passion to share my art & creativity with couples. Always attentive to the details & going the extra step is what sets my designs apart. Sharing the beauty of flowers is my gift & life's purpose. I can't wait to share with you!

Sharla was such a joy to work with - we had multiple hour-plus-long planning calls where she walked through every piece of my floral vision, gave amazing suggestions and photo inspiration, and worked with me every step of the way. Sharla also worked seamlessly (and tirelessly) when we changed our ceremony location last minute due to weather - she had set up ALL of our ceremony decoration outside before we had to move inside due to rain, and she worked with our venue to change those plans, set reasonable expectations, and shift everything over - she surpassed every expectation and turned our entire venue into an absolute dream.

she was communicative, incredibly knowledgeable while also being open to suggestions, and has such an eye for what makes a beautiful floral arrangement. We talked through what we were looking for and the final product fit our vision perfectly. It rained unexpectedly on our wedding day just as Sharla was setting up our ceremony arch, and she handled it like such a pro. With the tigher turnaround time after the rain stopped, Sharla got everything dried and set up as if nothing had happened. We loved our ceremony and personal flowers so much, and our simple floral arrangements for the reception tables were perfect. You won't regret working with C&S Farmstead, I promise.

She is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and warm. You will love working with her!
