We had our wedding at Alpine Events in Welches, OR on January 20, 2024, and it was everything we wanted, a truly magical day! We wanted an intimate venue to celebrate our day and t...
his venue was perfect.
The whole experience was perfect, Jan was fantastic every step of the way. Even with a bad snow and ice storm that hit just days before our wedding. Jan and Todd stepped up and dealt with unforeseen issues and took extra steps to ensure a successful event. They are true professionals and took such good care of us.
The whole venue was decorated so beautifully, all our guests were so impressed with the décor to the delicious food. The ladies at Busy Bee Catering are true masters of what they do! All our food was so fresh and delicious!
Thank you, Jan, Todd, and team for all the work you put in, you’re doing an incredible job, and we had an unforgettable day!
This company took care of any needs or questions/concerns we had for our wedding. Their menu has plenty of choices that fit most diets and everything we ordered was delicious! Our ...
guests couldn't get enough. In fact, most people didn't have room for dessert because they couldn't stop eating this delicious food! Plus, everyone that's a part of this company is so sweet and courteous, they came at the perfect time and set everything up for us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! For us, it worked perfect as a buffet style.
Jan at Busy Bee did a PHENOMENAL job! Being that I married an Italian and his whole Italian family was attending, food was something I wanted to make sure we really nailed. It was ...
a top priority for my husband, so I wanted to make sure our caterer was top notch but for a reasonable price. Jan couldn't have been a more perfect fit! The food was INSANE! She accommodated our special request of our smoked salmon appetizer and tenderloin that was cooked to perfection! Guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was and how much they enjoyed the meal at our wedding. We were so pleased! Jan exceeded my expectations and if I could have done my wedding again, I would use her a thousand times over!
Amazing food and amazing people! The staff went above and beyond with everything and the food was delicious. Had MANY people tell us that it was the best wedding food they ever had...
(and I would agree). Everything tasted just like it did during the taste testing, home cooked and fresh! Would definitely recommend to any bride!
Big shout out to Jan and her staff for the incredible job they did on my son's wedding. From our first contact with Jan (long distance), we received top notch service. Jan was ve...
ry helpful in making suggestions for the reception. She was in constant contact and no question was too mundane for her. She is so warm and friendly and made this an easy process being we were completely across the country .
On the day of wedding, she took over the management of our venue and executed perfectly. On top of this, the food was incredible. I know many people will read reviews about the food, but this is the first wedding reception that our guests said this was by far the best they had ever eaten. The entrees were fresh and local. Everything was prepared perfectly and very abundant for our buffet. Jan's prices are very reasonable and the quality and quantity provided incredible. Jan even packaged up our leftovers and we were able to feed many guests the next day at the morning departure brunch. If you are looking for someone to work with for your wedding, PLEASE contact Jan. You will be so pleased.
THANKS JAN FORE GOING OVER THE TOP!!!!
I can’t thank Jan Ostrom and her team enough for the food, service, help and the all around incredible experience everyone had with them during our wedding. The food was not only d...
elicious, but also incredibly beautiful. Many guests commented on how spectacular the presentation was as well as how good everything tasted. The Busy Bee catering staff was so kind and helpful and everyone enjoyed working with them. They were incredibly efficient and on top of everything making it a really enjoyable experience for all involved. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t love about the food, though if I had to pick a favorite dish, it was the Busy Bee Signature Salad! Throughout the entire process Jan went above and beyond to help us make everything perfect. She even had suggestions for decor! Many, many thanks to the Busy Bee team!
I used busy bee for my Fourth of July wedding. My theme was old fashion picnic and I wanted my food to match. Busy bee was the first place I contacted. Jan was very enthusiastic ab...
out my idea and had some great ideas on how to incorporate our picnic theme. I had talked to a few other places just to make sure but I just felt Jan really understood what I was looking for. The first time me and my fiancé met with her we realized we had no idea what we wanted. We could see what Jan was extremely experienced and knew what she would doing which made us feel sooo much better. She took our suggestions, made a few of her own and worked within our budget. She kept it touch all the way up to the wedding and always offered up her wedding knowledge when I asked for help. When our wedding finally came her and her team ROCKED it! I mean seriously knocked it out of the park! Our wedding day was Hot hot hot but that didn't stop her team from working hard and making everything look great! We had pulled pork sandwiches, and chicken skewers along with some amazing side salads and spicy coslaw! We actually got to eat unlike most newlyweds and it was so good! I cannot tell you how many people told us how much they LOVED the food! These guys really went the extra mile for me and I greatly appreciate Jan and her team!
I hardly worked with our caterer, my fiance and mother in law took care of that, but she was wonderful. The food was tasty, and the presentation was excellent. She asked specific q...
uestions about our like/dislikes, cultural backgrounds, and wedding themes. She created an excellent menu that wasn't so fancy it was inedible, like some wedding caterers will. If you are getting married on or around Mt. Hood, call Busy Bee.
The staff of Busy Bee, in particular Jan (Queen Bee) and Todd (head Drone?) were so wonderful! The food was phenomenal, with plenty of delicious left overs for lunch with our fami...
ly and friends the next day.
The steelhead was out of this world, and the steak was amazing, especially given that our ceremony started 30 minutes late!
Salads were excellent, really everything that Busy Bee touched was superb.
Would HIGHLY recommend Busy Bee Catering to anybody getting married, having a party, or really doing any sort of event that requires food in the Portland area...

an did a wonderful job working with us to provide delicious main dishes. Busy Bee catered salmon, steak, paella and grilled veggies. We have gotten many rave reviews from our guests, stating that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding.
It was a perfect mix of family recipes and wonderful tasty dishes from Busy Bee.
I am still craving more paella just thinking about it.
All I can say is the food was delicious, they were so much fun to work with and they were so helpful. We ill def. be using Busy Bee for our next catering event.
Todd and Jan Ostrom of Busy Bee Catering really pulled through for our wedding. From the first email through the actual event I was VERY pleased. They made each step of the proce...
ss easy and clear, they really know and understand their customers needs. Their menu and food selection was unique and fun, offering a variety of assorted seasonal FRESH goods. Their are two wonderful things about Bee Busy Catering 1) THE FOOD! (and believe me.... your guests will tell you over and over again how great the food is/was.) 2) the food layout is a piece of art all in itself. Don't hide these tables, as they should be places where your guests can see them. I have personally known the owners for over 14 years and I didn't look anywhere else when it came to the catering for my wedding. Many Wonderful thanks!
