Bourassa Catering & Events

nning process was smooth, and upon arrival the entire set up was better than we could have imagined! The day moved seamlessly and the food was delicious- they even customized an appetizer so we could have RI clam cakes and chowder from our first date during cocktail hour!

cally to tell us how amazing the food was. During our tastings with the chef, he really listened to our vision and captured exactly what we were looking for. The food on the wedding day was exceptional — hot, fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. One thing that really stood out to us was that the food was actually properly seasoned and not overly salty, which is something that unfortunately happens at a lot of weddings, it was served on-time and THE FOOD WAS ACTUALLY HOT. This was genuinely some of the best wedding food I have ever had. Nikki was also incredible and deserves a special mention. She was our main point of contact and was unbelievably friendly, helpful, and responsive throughout the entire planning process. She gave us so much advice and went above and beyond to help us get our schedule organized. She also advised us on things beyond just the food and catering. At a certain point, she genuinely felt like a member of our wedding planning team. The servers and entire staff were also fantastic. They were friendly, professional, attentive, and helped make the entire night run smoothly. The combination of the food, presentation, and service was truly exceptional. Bourassa exceeded our expectations in every possible way. The food was incredible, the staff was amazing, and Nikki and the entire team went above and beyond to help make our wedding perfect. If you are looking for a caterer, I could not recommend them more highly. Absolutely phenomenal.

t was thanks to the incredible support provided by their talented team. Everyone was SO friendly and helpful—we especially loved Kathryn, who made sure we were well-fed throughout the evening. And Nikki was amazing to work with — from our first intro call, to the tasting, to the our wedding day. Our friends and family loved the food, especially the tacos, halibut and short rib. Everything was a hit and the service ran so smoothly. From our first outreach with their team, working with Bourassa was a delight. Highly recommend!

countless questions I had and the many additions we made to our menu. On the day of the event, Gabriel was exceptional. Everything ran seamlessly, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, many literally cleaned their plates. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication made the entire experience stress free and memorable. We cannot recommend their team enough.

s were very happy and we are still getting compliments from them. I have only one daughter and you and you staff helped make her day very special. Thank you again. I have only one daughter and you and you staff helped make her day very special. Thank you again.

hand-passed hors d’oeuvres came out, our guests were raving—and they didn’t stop all night! Everything was beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly fresh. The buffet was equally impressive. There was a fantastic variety of options, and every dish was delicious. Guests kept coming up to us saying it was the best wedding food they’d ever had, and we couldn’t agree more. Beyond the food itself, the staff were professional, friendly, and so attentive. They made sure everything ran smoothly and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our day. We’re so grateful to have had them as part of our wedding. If you want exceptional food and service, look no further. Highly recommend! — Stephanie Dix

ure nothing went unaccounted for. The tasting was incredible with some many amazing options to choose from, it was honestly hard to pick because everything was so amazing. Leading up to the wedding the team made sure every detail was covered, making sure all guests had safe options despite multiple allergies and sensitivities. It put our mind at ease knowing all of our guests could easily find something safe and delicious to eat. The food and service on our wedding day was beyond our expectations. The staff were attentive to guest needs, the food and drinks were incredible, and everything was handled with the utmost professionalism. Most couple often say they barley have time to eat on their wedding day, and this couldn't be further from the truth for us. The staff made sure we had drinks and food whenever we needed and I'm so glad that was the case because all of the food was outstanding. I have had multiple guests rave about how good the food was. I have many engaged friends now inquiring about who we had for catering because they do not want to miss out on hiring Bourassa. I simply cannot recommend Bourassa enough and look forward to hiring them for all of my future events, you cannot go wrong picking them to be apart of your wedding or special event!!

nup of our event. We continue to hear from our guests how incredible the food and service was. We chose the short rib, salmon and eggplant rollatini for entrees then 5 passed apps, charcuterie and a taco station along with their full bar service. We worked closely with Nikki during the planning process, and she was a dream to work with. She is attentive, communicative, and makes everything feel seamless. Her organization and professionalism allowed us to relax and feel confident knowing Bourassa had every detail of our vison handled. Nikki will help you to make your wedding day your own assisting in customizing some of our menu items and ensuring that your décor is exactly how you pictured it to be. They worked with us to design a unique combo family-style and plated meal service, and it was executed perfectly. The timing was flawless, the food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. My husband and I had our own attendant who made sure we had a drink & got to try all of our food during such a busy night. They even went above and beyond by sourcing our favorite local beer from our hometown for the bar and helping coordinate the delivery of 15 individual mini wedding cakes to each table for dessert. The bartenders kept up with a busy crowd and served delicious drinks all night with great energy and fantastic service even switching locations between cocktail hour, the reception and late night service for us. Bourassa is the reason that our wedding day was executed so seamlessly. If you want a caterer who delivers not only excellent food but top-tier service and attention to detail, we cannot recommend them highly enough!

cious, and our guests raved about it all night. Some of our favorites were the duck baos, crab cakes, meatballs, and of course our pie bar which was such a hit! The wait staff and service were exceptional, attentive, and professional throughout the entire evening. We didn’t use their bar service, but if it’s anything like their food and staff, I’m sure it would have been just as incredible. If your venue doesn’t have in-house catering, please do yourself a favor and use Bourassa! They helped make our wedding day unforgettable.

From our first conversation, to our tasting and every conversation in between their team was always just an email or phone call away to answer any questions we had! Their food is also absolutely amazing. Our whole guest list of 113 people even said everything from cheese and crackers, passes hors devours, and plated entrees were perfect! Their time management is remarkable but most importantly their sense of reassurance is something every bride and groom dreams of! I wish Bourassa was much closer to us in Rhode Island because we would use their catering services for every event we hosted!

he guests all raved about the food!

ake happen. The service at the wedding was incredible and the food was fantastic. I can't even begin to tell you the number of people who came up to my husband and I to say how delicious their meal was. During cocktail hour, I (the bride) had gone upstairs with my mom to bustle my dress and one of the servers came up and brought us an entire tray of hors d'oeuvres without us even asking. I thought that was so kind and it was amazing because I was starving at that point! A 10/10 experience all around. I cannot recommend Bourassa enough. Nikki the Coordinator is the best - so professional, responsive and kind. She made the entire process so easy for us!

s dishes (looking at you, mini Reuben sandwiches). Many of our guests raved about the food, especially the taco bar!

oon as you finished eating. They also set up all of the tables and chairs for the event and the ceremony chairs were cleaned up before we even finished formal photos. If I could give 6 stars I would!

elp plan the menu, answer our questions, and discuss the timeline. Our favorities were the stunning charcuterie board, the pesto shrimp with pineapple salsa, and the honey sriracha salmon. Thank you so much Nikki and Bourassa team!

l, despite my last minute worries I kept bothering her with! Bourassa was accommodating to all of our requests, and everything flowed perfectly during the wedding. I cannot recommend them enough, and would absolutely book them again!

n days leading up to the event they handled all of our modifications and special requests gracefully and were an absolute joy to work with. Day of they provided an exceptional experience with delicious and plentiful food and drinks and plenty of servers. You never had to go far to find a passed hors doeuvres during cocktail hour and there wasn't ever a line at the bar. I can't recommend them highly enough.

ning process. She was always responsive and thorough, never missing a detail. We wanted a menu that represented us, and after many, many emails and phone calls, we were able to create the perfect stationed dinner and cocktail hour menus. Nikki and the chefs provided an excellent tasting to make sure we liked every part of our menu. The entire team was great, and provided such wonderful service. We even kept hearing such positive reviews from our coordinator and venue that they were such a great vendor to work with. I would highly recommend Bourassa, you are in such great hands with them!

urse, the food was incredible. They provided delicious food at a reasonable price. We still receive complements on their food.

as incredibly accommodating, always responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. When I developed an allergy, Nikki seamlessly adjusted all of our passed appetizers and even modified my favorite dish, their to-die-for butternut squash ravioli, so I could still enjoy it! Bourassa did such a phenomenal job that we had them cater brunch while my bridesmaids and I were getting ready, as well as for my husband and his groomsmen. During the wedding, everything went off without a hitch—each guest got exactly what they ordered, and the food was outstanding. They even helped us put together a champagne tower pour, which was an absolute highlight of the night! Nikki and the entire Bourassa team were hands-down one of our favorite vendors to work with. Their professionalism, flexibility, and easy-going nature made the entire process stress-free and fun. We can’t recommend them highly enough!

opinion isn’t in their job description! They were incredibly flexible with our budget and helped us make it happen. The day of, they were nothing short of AMAZING. The food was incredible, and all of the staff was wonderful. I could not recommend them more!

l throughout the whole process! Everything was so delicious, I wish I had eaten more! So many guests during and after our wedding raved about the food. We even had guests say it was by far the best wedding food they have ever had. Some favorites were the Lobster Roll, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, the Halibut for dinner. The drinks were also delicious! Nikki, Joe, Chef Devin and Chef Jon were all so incredibly sweet and helpful through out this whole wedding planning process and even day of helped to make sure everything went out without a hitch. Mikayla our bridal attendant was also the sweetest and made sure we always had food and drinks throughout the night! Our wedding planner even made a comment to me during the wedding that she was so impressed with Bourassa and would be referring them to her other brides. Thank you Bourassa for truly helping make our wedding day perfect and delicious! We could not have done it without you!

nd great about answering our questions. Nikki, our primary contact, was in touch with us frequently to help us navigate everything from creating a timeline for the day to creating a floor plan for the tables and everything in between. The real show stopper beyond the incredible customer service was the food. I felt very strongly that we needed the food served at our wedding to be excellent, and Bourassa exceeded that expectation. The hors d'oeuvres and charcuterie display were phenomenal, the main courses were delicious, and the dessert shooters were also excellent, in addition to being a fun way to supplement the traditional wedding cake. They were also able to accommodate food allergies and dietary preferences with ease. Everyone at Bourassa was kind and lovely to work with. We absolutely cannot recommend them-- or the butternut squash ravioli-- enough!!

t and straightforward from our first interaction to the day of our wedding. They even sent us a thank you card after we selected them as our caterer, which was a nice, personal touch! They were flexible and willing to work with us to customize the menu and the food was incredible (definitely get the mac and cheese appetizer)! Everyone from our event coordinator, Nikki, to the chefs, owner, and the event staff were so professional and delightful to work with. They were so attentive and detail-oriented on the day of; someone even followed us around with a plate of apps during cocktail hour to ensure we had a chance to eat! We can't thank them enough. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them!

ourteous. Altogether, their good work greatly contributed to a delightful wedding reception. They ensured we (the bride and groom) received a plate of our hors d'oeuvres, received our meal first / had a chance to eat, worked with us on a custom menu for our family friendly wedding reception, and easily accommodated a last minute request to add an iced water and lemonade refreshment welcome station when we saw the forecasted temperature quickly rise a few days before our wedding. Nikki, our event coordinator, was a delight to work with as well. Asking Bourassa to cater our wedding is easily one of our best decisions!

s the entire way. I didn’t always know the best timing for the transition between appetizers and dinner or dinner and dessert and she helped me with the entire plan. The day of, the contacts at The Owenego helped us have our own set of appetizers and made sure to get us our own plate of dinner. Everyone was kind, helpful and made sure everyone ate and took home late night snacks! The food was wonderful and the experience was truly smooth and seamless!

he guests on my side were vegetarian, but the Bourassa team worked with us to create a completely customized menu with fully vegetarian stations (Indian, Mexican, Italian) while also having a carving station for meat- and everything was delicious! Nikki and Joe were both very kind and professional throughout the process, such a pleasure to work with. This was also their first time catering at our wedding venue, and Nikki worked with our planner to make sure everything would fall into place logistically and run smoothly. Highly recommended!

ad the privilege of working with them for our wedding on May 19th, and everything was absolutely perfect - we couldn't have asked for a better catering team for our wedding. From the moment we began wedding planning, Bourassa stood out above all other vendors. The kindness and excitement that the team exudes is contagious, and unmatched in the wedding industry. Nikki celebrated WITH us during the most exciting time of our life, and I truly looked forward to our check-ins. By the time our wedding rolled around, Nikki, Joe & John started to feel more like friends than vendors. The most stand-out thing about the Bourassa team is the level of customization and care that goes into each wedding. During our tasting, I mentioned that my grandfather (who we unfortunately lost several years ago) was a hot dog aficionado and would frequently visit a nearby hot dog joint. I asked if there was any way we could honor him by having hot dogs as the late night snack option. Upon hearing his, Joe & Nikki sprang into action - researching this particular restaurant's hot dogs and going above and beyond to try and replicate the exact hot dogs that my grandfather loved so much. Seeing his absolute favorite food there at our wedding meant more to my family and I than I can put into words. A small ode to him that we will cherish forever, and we are so grateful to the Bourassa team for giving this to us. As if that wasn't enough, my husband had his heart set on including his favorite cocktail from a restaurant in our hometown as his signature cocktail for our wedding. Although it was complicated, Joe worked with us to craft the perfect iteration of this cocktail - from the taste to the presentation - and it was executed flawlessly. Guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was and how friendly all of the catering staff were. I could go on and on about this team's professionalism, talent & good vibes. We are so, so happy to have shared our special day with Bourassa!

When we visited their location for a tasting, everyone was absolutely lovely, and really made it feel like a special occasion. We thought the food was excellent and well-priced for the quality and variety of choices. On the wedding day, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious and plentiful. Nikki, the event coordinator, deserves a special mention. When the wedding coordinator that we hired disappeared three weeks before our wedding, Nikki swooped in to save the day. She went through every detail with us to make sure that nothing would be missed. She always made time to speak with us on the phone, even on busy days, and did so much to set our minds at ease. We truly had a perfect wedding day, and Bourassa made it happen. Highly highly recommended!

d more - every detail was perfect. The staff was super friendly and attentive to our guests. They helped setup and cleanup which took a lot of stress of us on our wedding day. The whole teams warmth and Nikki's invaluable assistance made planning our big day a breeze. Our family and friends are still raving about the generous portions and amazing food. Highly recommended for an unforgettable wedding!

ts raved about the food. Their staff were professional and so helpful- thanks Jenny!! I also heard from the other vendors that we hired that Bourassa’s staff were fun to work with! Thanks for making our perfect day perfect!

we needed throughout the day. Perfect communication at all times and no hidden charges for anything. All of our guest loved all of the food and drinks. The service from every staff member was phenomenal. Not only did they ensure our guest had everything they needed, they made sure we as the couple were able to enjoy all of our food and drinks also. We created our own menu based on their recommendations and the buffet was stocked with everything. The bar staff was attentive and handled everything beautifully. The timing of food was efficient. We recommend Bourassa for any event!

ents on the food. They did a great job in keeping our day flow.

trying to trick you or upsell you on anything. The food at the wedding was excellent, and we got a lot of comments about it. Multiple guests said: "we usually don't remember/notice the food at weddings, but the food here is so good that it really stands out." While many couples don't have time to eat at their weddings, both my husband and I paused to enjoy our dinner and take home the delicious leftovers. They also did a marvelous job with the ceremony site setup, linens, and all the logistical elements. Highly recommend

n good hands. The day of the food was incredible (our guests are still talking about it as "the best wedding food we've ever had", and trust me, there's been a lot of weddings lately!) The entire staff was beyond amazing; friendly, detail oriented, efficient, and full of energy that really helped make the day. For the amazing service and food we got, I feel like we underpaid! I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much Bourassa for making our special day even more special!

nd easy to work with. He accommodated all of our requests and everything tasted absolutely amazing (many guests told us it was the best "wedding food" they'd ever had!) Not only was the food delicious, it looked beautiful too. Bourassa's staff was so friendly and helpful. They took care of everything we needed and made us feel so comfortable and stress-free on the big day. We also really appreciate how dedicated Bourassa Catering is to Covid safety. The plexiglass barriers in front of the buffet were subtle and sturdy, exactly what we needed. We would absolutely recommend Bourassa Catering for any event, and especially if you're having an event during Covid and want to serve your guests excellent food as safely as possible!

legantly displayed, the salad was delicious ( a spinach cesar) and the entrees were also phenomenal (filet of sole and chicken cordon bleu). All the staff were absolutely professional and completely adept. Our coordinator, Patti was incredible. Im super A type and had a lot of tiny detail requests, all of which Patti took care of, and none were too small or insignificant. I would definitely recommend Bourassa and Patti for your event.

the whole day run smoothly, even doing little things like asking what sort of food she should save us from dinner and setting plates out for us so we didn't have to wait in line. Can't speak highly enough about her. The food was also delicious. Our taco bar was a huge hit, and Bourassa was completely on board when we asked to do a collection of desserts (pies, cookies, etc) instead of cake. They suggested some items, and also were happy to work with our personal requests/recipes.

as well attended and taken care of. Highly recommend this group!

e knew we were in good hands. From a communications perspective, they were both incredibly kind, responsive, and organized. They were reasonably priced and took time to listen to what we were thinking, explain everything, and answer questions. Most importantly though, the food was AMAZING! From the tasting we did with them to the stationary apps to the buffet, everything was beautifully presented, delicious, and enough for an army. We did a BBQ menu and not only did people get seconds and compliment the food but the leftovers they packed for us sustained our family for a week and no one got tired of them - that good! The day-of staff were all great and cleaned up well very quickly. Friends and family who work in the events industry raved about them and we have already recommended them to others. Thanks Bob and Catherine!

mmended" providers and ultimately selected Bob and Catherine Bourassa. They are a delight to work with, super responsive to every question and request, and of course "grand masters" in the kitchen. They nailed the Bride and Groom's special culinary requests and together with their superb staff delivered a perfect party. Our guests contacted us weeks after the wedding to complement the food, the service, and even the staff that were so accommodating. I highly recommend Bourassa Catering as the best ever!

hemselves in our day and our guests raved about both the food and the staff. Our wedding was at our home and they were incredibly respectful, neat, and delightful to work with. Bob created a menu for our no-seated-dinner backyard cocktail reception that was ideal. The team set up a hydration station for guests at the ceremony (on the front lawn), which came in handy because it was warm out. After the ceremony there were plentiful passed hors d'oeuvres - we picked out 9 from their lengthy options and we asked for a custom appetizer, which they were happy to do. They then transitioned into food stations - cheese and crudite, meat carving station, pasta and salad station. There was plenty of food to go around without it being a stuffy sit down or buffet meal. The bars were well stocked and Bob took care to order everything we asked for. We requested local beers, pinot noir and sauvignon blanc not just the standard cabernet and chardonnay, and had Tito's and Hendrick's since my husband prefers those brands. Believe me, no one was thirsty! One of the servers made sure that the bride and groom were well taken care of - she brought us food and always made sure our glasses were full! The team cut and served our wedding cake at no extra cost (Bourassa doesn't provide cakes). And even helped clean up chocolate cake from the floor when my husband encouraged the kids to "smash" the groom's cake! What I was even more amazed with occurred after the wedding and reception. We had asked the caterer to leave some leftovers for any late-night guests who remained. I guess we ate everything the caterer brought, so they rummaged in our fridge and arranged plates of cheese and deli meat, snacks, etc. for us to snack on. They left bottles of wine and beer as well. In walking our lawn and property in the days afterward, there were only a handful of swizzle sticks that hadn't been picked up. Even their clean up was impeccable! I cannot recommend Bourassa enough! They were fantastic and at a reasonable price. Thank you!

at. Everyone said it was fantastic too! They were also great at cleaning up and making sure we (the bride and groom) remembered to eat and drink!

ere getting our photos taken, the staff came out to us with hors d'oeuvres and drinks to ensure we ate something and didn't miss the amazing food. Throughout the wedding the staff repeatedly checked in with us (bride and groom) to make sure we had everything we needed. We had raves from our guests about the food and the service. Just what you want to hear after your wedding!! Bourassa also has a store front in Wallingford that is a great place to have lunch.
