About this vendor
As a small woman-owned business I am proud of what I have to offer. I have a big vision and high standards. I grow all my own blooms. My farm is on a rooftop in the heart of Berkeley! We offer super local, organic blooms grown on our rooftop farm. As a farmer-florist I get to design with over 50 varieties of flowers I grow. I started my farm in the fall of 2014. In just five years I've grown a successful farm and flourishing business. I offer the most local, high quality, organic flowers around. My design work grew out of my love for flowers and farming. I bring a natural and organic eye to my work. As an artist and a flower farmer you get the best of both worlds. We offer a diverse array of flowers straight from our rooftop farm in Berkeley. Bring the bounty and beauty of Bluma Farm to your wedding or event. We hope all our clients come to visit the roof and see where and how the blooms are grown. We also offer photo shoots at the farm as well!

Bluma did a fantastic job with the flowers for our wedding! I gave Haia some high-level ideas (color scheme, general vibe, a few pictures), and she ran with it and put together flo...
wers that surpassed my admittedly high expectations. The flowers on the chuppah were beautiful (the ceremony photos from the wedding are some of my favorites in part because of the chuppah flowers), and I loved my bouquet and the centerpieces. We had very little in the way of decoration other than the flowers, and we didn't need anything else because the flowers were stunning. We got many compliments on the flowers. Highly recommend Bluma!
Bluma did an amazing job with the flowers for our wedding. We had a bunch of COVID-related cancellations and reschedules and Joanna was super flexible through it all. We got marr...
ied up in Boonville and were able to have someone pick up all of the flowers and bring them up to the site ready to go. Joanna worked closely with us to keep our flowers within our budget but be really special. They also did the flowers for our mini-backyard wedding!
Bluma made a gorgeous bouquet, boutonniere, and centerpieces for my wedding ceremony last month. We had a Covid-friendly outdoor zoom wedding, so the ambience and accents became an...
even more important aspect of the ceremony than normal, and the flowers were a huge hit. My sis in law worked directly with Joanna, looping me in as needed, and communication and follow-up was easy and smooth. She delivered the flowers right to our door the day before the ceremony, plus a few squash blossoms from the farm :) Everything is organic, fresh, local, sustainable, and the colors and flowers she chose were spot-on with what we talked about. I can't recommend Bluma enough!

at I wanted to work with Bluma Farms right after reviewing the website.
I worked with Joanna directly and with a few notes about wedding colors and themes I gave her full reign on the designs. I actually had no idea what the bouquets would look like until I picked them up and I was so pleased! She did a fabulous job and the arrangements fit perfectly into the wedding theme.
Thanks Joanna!
My favorite part of our wedding decor was the flowers. I’m so grateful to Bluma and I’m glad they were the first vendor I hired. I loved the flowers so much that I pressed some of ...
the blooms from my bouquet. So many of our guests complimented the floral arrangements on their beauty and uniqueness.
Joanna is kind, professional, and a hardworking farmer. She made the entire floral process a breeze. Her rooftop farm is beautiful and totally worth a visit! It’s inspiring to walk by all the organic flowers growing in the middle of Berkeley.
Joanna worked well with my planner (Chanda at A Monique Affair) to come up with the perfect designs and arrangements. We went with a peachy color scheme with hints of burgundy. Joanna was great at communicating and gave me lots of flexibility in choosing which flowers I liked best. She was responsive, quick to reply to emails and phone calls. I highly recommend working with Joanna and Bluma Farm. They won’t steer you wrong.
Joanna met with me several times before our wedding to help plan the details and logistics, as well as figuring out which flowers we would like. It was great to walk around the far...
m and pick out the flowers that we wanted. There were a few flowers that I wanted that she doesn't grow, but she was able to find them for me elsewhere and include that in our total cost. The whole process was very smooth and easy, and the arrangements were gorgeous and unique! I was so happy to support a small, local, woman-owned-and-run flower farm, and I highly recommend Bluma Farm.
Bluma did the flowers at a dear friend’s wedding. All the arrangements and bouquets were absolutely beautiful. The flowers are grown locally and organically. Highly recommended!
Joanna has such a great eye for flowers and it is really special that she grows them all herself. The care and presentation so literally and figuratively organic.
Joanna's flowers took my breath away with their biodiversity and colour -- so many flowers I've never seen before in the most marvelously inspired arrangements. The wedding was a s...

ners for the gift table and sign in table, 5 boutonnieres for the grooms and minister and speakers, huge ceremony arrangements for the fireplace, chair decor for the aisle seats. All lovely, delivered and arranged by the florists. Thank You Bluma Farm!!
Joanna (Bluma Farm founder and owner) put together the most gorgeous flowers for our July wedding! I basically didn’t let go of my bouquet all day/evening because I loved it so muc...
h! She made my bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and two large arrangements to frame our ceremony. She also provided buckets of loose stems that we used for table arrangements and reception decorating. I didn’t really request anything specific, but just told Joanna my color scheme and trusted her to do the rest. I couldn’t have been happier with the way all of the flowers turned out. They were perfect, and truly added some magic to our day. Joanna and her team were a pleasure to work with. I loved supporting this farm and what they stand for, and I LOVED our wedding day flowers!

gements that the SF Chronicle sent a photographer to take pictures for the an article the newspaper is doing on Bluma.
Bluma actually grows the flowers (organically) so they are freshly cut, they are locally grown and not transported by plane from a foreign country. All good in my book.
Joanna was easy to work with, stuck to the budget and help create the wedding of my daughter's dreams.
I went to a wedding recently and I was surprised by how much I noticed the flowers. They were so beautiful and so perfectly arranged. I highly recommend Bluma for your wedding.

Joanna created a masterpiece for my bridal bouquet. It was everything I wanted; artistic, natural, and smelled good.

dible job. I specifically asked them to avoid more typical flowers like roses and focus more on beautiful native species and their team did not disappoint! The flowers were fresh, vibrant, fragrant and just perfect.
Of all the issues I had to deal with, I am happy to say that Bluma was very easy to work with.
Joanna was the BEST! We hired her last minute for a marriage proposal and she was so kind and helpful, and created BEAUTIFUL arrangements! If there is a "perfect" florist, this g...
