Blue Plate Catering was absolutely amazing and one of the best vendors we worked with for our wedding!
We chose their hors d'oeuvres, pasta buffet, petit fours dessert table, and popcorn bar, and every single item was a huge hit with our guests. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and we received so many compliments throughout the night. The petit fours were especially popular. I only managed to grab one little cheesecake myself before they disappeared!
From the planning stage through the wedding day, Blue Plate was incredibly easy to work with. They were responsive, flexible, and accommodating when it came to scheduling meetings, answering questions, and making adjustments to our menu. They also offered excellent value for the quality of food and service, making them one of the more affordable vendors we considered without sacrificing quality.
On the wedding day, everything ran flawlessly. The staff arrived on time, were professional and friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly. The team lead was especially wonderful. She checked in with me throughout the evening, made sure everything was going according to plan, and somehow knew exactly when to offer help while also understanding how busy and pulled in different directions I was.
One detail we especially appreciated was that they cut and served our wedding cake whenever we were ready, making the process completely stress-free. At the end of the night, they thoughtfully boxed up leftovers for us and left out the late-night popcorn bar, which was a huge hit, especially with guests who had been out on the dance floor and enjoying drinks all evening!
Blue Plate exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was fantastic, the staff was outstanding, the pricing was reasonable, and they made the entire process easy from start to finish. Where do I begin? I found Blue Plate through the list of required caterers for our venue, and I am so glad to have gone through with using them for my wedding.
David was amazing ...
to work with. My venue was logistically difficult with no parking and a room flip between the ceremony and reception. They helped me refine my timeline for the day to run as smooth as possible. They even worked with one of my bridesmaids so we could pick up our linens two days before our wedding and drop them off two days later so we could have the tables set our entire wedding day. Seriously, they were fantastic.
As a vegetarian, it was very important for me to choose a caterer with actual vegetarian options on their menu, not just a star at the bottom of the pdf document that says, "*vegetarian meals upon request." It's always uncomfortable when there's no food for you at an event because of an allergy or a choice in diet. Needless to say, they are extremely accommodating of every concern. They even made a special piece of vegan and gluten free cheesecake for one of my guests.
We ended up choosing their pasta bar for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. I personally chose cavatappi with veggies and Alfredo sauce. My sister is the pickiest eater I know and she went back for seconds to try the pesto sauce. I don't know if I've ever seen my sister go back for seconds or eat pesto sauce in my entire life. My only regret is that I was partying so hard that I didn't get a chance to try the cheesecake bar we chose for dessert!
Emily followed us around to each and every table to dismiss them to the buffet. After we said our thank yous to everyone at the table, Emily asked if anyone had any dietary concerns or allergies. She made sure everyone had something to eat. They were fabulous. Emily also checked in with us throughout the day to make sure everything was running smoothly and that we didn't need anything extra from her.
Working with Blue Plate was an absolute dream and I would recommend them to anybody. Thank you so much Blue Plate for making my wedding day perfect!

On the day of the wedding, Adrienne, our event lead, made everything run seamlessly. She kept the flow of service on track, made sure we never had to worry about a thing, and was so kind and attentive throughout the evening.
The food itself was absolutely fantastic! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. Chefs Rylan and Elliot created dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. We chose a family-style meal, and the service was flawless. Guests loved the experience of sitting down together and sharing dishes, and Blue Plate executed it perfectly. Throughout the night, no one was ever hungry. Every detail was handled, from appetizers through dessert.
One of the highlights was the build-your-own cheesecake bar. It ended up being one of the most talked-about parts of the evening, with everyone enjoying the chance to create their own dessert.
What we appreciated most was how David and the Blue Plate team took our rough ideas and turned them into a clear, well-executed vision. They made sure we fully understood how the food would be prepared and served, allowing us to experience it beforehand exactly as our guests would on the big day.
We can’t recommend Blue Plate highly enough. They were professional, thoughtful, and truly a joy to work with—and they helped make our wedding meal one of the highlights of the entire celebration.

The staff was around all that time making sure guests were eating. Once guests were seated, we chose a buffet, and the dismissal of tables went so smooth. There was plenty of food - people went up for seconds! The staff also checked on myself and my husband during dinner and brought me my seconds instead of having me get up again. All night, after dinner, we kept hearing from our guests how amazing the food was - especially the beef medallions, and the chicken tortellini pasta. The only downside was that there were no leftovers because everyone ate it all!! Hahaha. We HIGHLY recommend Blue Plate Catering for your next event!

were so helpful with coordinating all the logistics over phone calls and email. Their experience in the industry was clear as they answered all of our questions and worked with our coordinator to make the day so easy for us. They were able to drop off our linens at the venue the night before because they were catering another event there, which allowed our vendor team to begin setup first thing in the morning of our wedding day.
We received so many comments from our guests about how good the food was! The braised beef was super tender and flavorful, and I heard from my guests that the miso glazed salmon was delicious as well! Shout out to our event lead, Jon, and chefs Lukas and Alex for putting everything together for us!
Our servers were so kind and helpful, and the dinner service ran so seamlessly. Another very thoughtful touch was how they set aside a selection of the passed appetizers and brought them to us at dinner because we missed most of cocktail hour to take photos. They also boxed up some petit fours from our dessert table for us to take home. They really put so much effort into giving our guests and ourselves the best possible dining experience for our big day!

On our wedding day, Jon, and Cecilia, our event and server leads, ensured that food preparation, timing, and service were outstanding and seamless. The tasting they set up for us was lovely, and we got to try so many options before deciding that we wanted to serve. I went in skeptical to trying the chicken, as chicken just never seems to be good at a wedding. After tasting their chicken-I was proved wrong. It was absolutely fantastic and they nailed it on day of as well. Chef Brent took great care in all of the food that he provided for our special day, and Amanda, our event lead, along with her team, just took fantastic care of us all.
The salad was fresh, chicken was tender, pork was flavorful, and our friends with dietary restrictions raved about the stuffed peppers. We had opted to do cookies rather than cake, and Blue Plate made sure we had milk, coffee and tea for our dessert bar as well. They truly seemed to care about our overall day being a success and they played such a big role in our day. We would recommend them to anyone!

The plated dinner service went incredibly smoothly, and we were especially pleased to find a sampling of the passed appetizer we had missed during our cocktail hour waiting for us at our head table. We had several guests come up to us during and after dinner to tell us how good their food was, so we know it wasn't just our meals that were prepared with care. We also rented table linens, napkins, China, and flatware with Blue Plate and everything looked lovely. Easy 5 stars – we’d recommend Blue Plate for any event and especially for an event as important as a wedding.

The food itself was so delicious! The chicken tortellini was by far our favorite and we had guests tell us they even went up for thirds because it was so good. In addition to their great food they have better staff! From the chefs in the kitchen to their front office and their servers everyone is so nice! They know their able to gather your guests wherever you'd like, and they are all so attentive!
One of the things that we liked best is when you go in for your tasting, they serve it to you as if you were having it on your wedding day! You're not mislead by someone serving you something fresh for your tasting but it tasting completely different your day of! They are also flexible and will work with you and tailor your meal to your desires!
The only thing we wish is different is that Blue Plate is a full service restaurant so we can eat their food again!! Thank you Blue Plate!!
