We cannot say enough amazing things about our hair and makeup team! Marissa for hair was so personable, professional, and incredibly talented. She brought every person's inspiration pictures to life and somehow made each look even better by personalizing it to fit each individual's features and style. Daya for makeup was equally amazing! She took the time to listen to everyone's vision and created such a beautiful variety of looks, from the mother of the bride to all of my bridesmaids. Every single person looked like the absolute best version of themselves, and everyone felt beautiful and confident. An added bonus was that everyone's hair and makeup lasted all night long, even through hours of celebrating and dancing!
The entire team was such a pleasure to work with that I even added on services for our rehearsal day the day before the wedding! That alone says so much about how happy I was with their work and the overall experience. They made getting ready together such a fun and special part of our wedding weekend, and I am so grateful to have had them be a part of it. If you're looking for a talented, professional team that truly listens, personalizes every look, and makes everyone feel beautiful, I cannot recommend them enough!

Choosing Black Orchid beauty was such an easy decision -- I was able to select a package that could accommodate my entire bridal party including both makeup and hair stylist who were all incredibly talented and made my girls look and feel their best! Delilah did my bridal makeup and had such a calming presence and really listened to my feedback. She worked well with my mother as well who wears little makeup at baseline and made her feel so beautiful. Melissa was my hair stylist and did a gorgeous clean up-do. She seemed like she could make any pinterest inspo come to life - unreal talent. Only note would be if there are artists' work you like on their page, would recommend you specify them in booking requests.

While she wasn’t available on my wedding day, her team was incredible. Daisy did my makeup and Marissa did my hair, and they were both absolutely fantastic!
Marissa was especially amazing with my mom, who was unsure about her hairstyle since she normally wears her hair down. She kindly offered another trial at no charge (not because anything was wrong, just a change of heart), which meant so much.
On the wedding day, they were calm, organized, and ahead of schedule. Everyone looked stunning, and they made the whole morning stress-free and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Black Orchid, especially for larger bridal parties… they are a truly talented and caring team!

Gina did my hair and she got what I wanted perfectly. We made some changes from the trial so I could be more comfortable and she talked me through what I could do and what would last and it was absolutely stunning. Daisy did my make and I cannot say enough great things about her, she is kind, friendly and extremely talented. I asked to look like an elevate version of myself and it was perfect. I felt so beautiful and so much like myself at the same time!
All my bridesmaids and our mom raved about the entire team and what a wonderful job they all did and how friendly and helpful they all were. Daisy even helped give a thoughtful opinion about when my mom was decided between dresses.

airstylists (Marissa and Melissa) and two make-up artists (Bridget an Daya). All were professional, friendly, and kept to the set schedule. We hire Marissa to stay while we did photos for hair and make-up touchups and it was a GREAT decision as it was humid and started to rain. She touched everyone up throughout our session and it really took the stress off of making sure we didn't mess anything up ourselves. My hair even looked flawless after hours of dancing.
With the trial, they even worked with us to schedule so all four artists could do the trial on the same day so that we didn't have to make multiple trips up from Chicago.
I have had my HMU done many times and this was by far the best experience I have ever had.

I haven't lost it and have been nervous about how I would look - but they have eased every anxiety and were even extremely accommodating to so many changes with the schedule after a bridesmaid dropped out of hair and makeup- I was able to replace her with my aunt and another bridesmaid and Gina changed the schedule so quickly for me. I get such bad anxiety with how I will look at the wedding and sometimes my anti anxiety meds don't help much, but looking back at trial photos eases my stress so much and I will always be grateful to Gina's team for that! 100000/10 recommend and my wedding hasn't even happened yet!

Shenna, Daisy, and Marissa did an AMAZING job with the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, our groomswoman, my mom, and my mother-in-law on the morning of the wedding. Everyone looked incredible and felt awesome, plus the Black Orchid crew was genuinely nice and fun to hang out with while we were getting ready.
I also have to give Daisy a shoutout for being flexible with my makeup trial when COVID sidelined me a few weeks before the wedding - it helped settle my nerves so much that she was able to fit me back into her schedule, and I LOVED how my makeup turned out.
If you're looking for hair/makeup services for your wedding I can't recommend Black Orchid Beauty enough!!

I didn't think it could look any better after the trial but somehow Gina managed to make it absolutely perfect. Anna did the hairstyles for the rest of my bridesmaids. She did such a great job at listening to what everyone wanted and making their visions a reality. Anna also did the makeup for my mom. My mom was nervous to have her makeup done because she never wears any and didn't want to look different. Anna was so sweet and listened to my mom and just accentuated her natural beauty. Not only are Gina and Anna amazing at hair and makeup but they are both the sweetest humans. We had such a blast with them getting ready the morning of my wedding.
