James was supposed to film my wedding last spring and he cancelled and pulled out of the contract a week before the wedding. I think we had eight days to find a replacement. He did...
n't have any replacement options for us to look into- I had to find something myself. I believe him when he said he had a family emergency- but I just wanted to be transparent, and if I was still looking for a wedding videographer this would be something I'd want to know. It was a day of serious stress and pulling out my hair calling and texting and emailing absolutely everyone I could to try and find somebody- ANYBODY who would film my wedding on only a week's notice.
Additionally, he listed himself as a Chicago vendor. He's actually based in Minneapolis. That's fine, but he was charging us an extra fee for him to travel to Chicago to film the wedding. ked so well with all of the other vendors on the day of. If you’re on the fence about a videographer I would highly recommend James to anyone looking to remember their big day for years to come.
