BIG FUN Disc Jockeys

nts from our guests as he played banger after banger all throughout the reception, but those actually weren't even the best parts about working with him: -First, he's a dream to work with. He set up a detailed checklist for us to work through, responded to every email in less than 24 hours, and worked really hard to make sure he did a great job for us -- from understanding what we wanted in each moment (and more than knowing how to handle a hora) to making sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's names throughout. -You know you're in good hands for everything beyond the dancing too. Henry mixed sound for our ceremony as well, muting us when appropriate so we could have our own moments up there, and making sure we, our officiant, and our readers all sounded great otherwise. -He made sure we had the right cuts of every song we wanted to use for special moments -- turning around options for us to choose from basically overnight -- and when we had a song we wanted to process to but it had parts that were too high pitched, he made a new version that toned that down and worked perfectly for us (also overnight!). Truly could not be happier we had DJ Henry for our wedding, or recommend him more highly!

ized and checked in about all sorts of details that we would not even have thought to bring up. He even made a custom edit of a song for our parent dances. The set up was seamless and everyone loved the smoke machine and lights. The dance floor was full throughout the night -- Paul even got everyone up and dancing to my parents' wedding song (an older song for sure)! We gave him a bunch of really diverse songs on our must play list and he seamlessly transitioned between them. Big Fun stuck the landing. Put your trust in Paul - he's the man! -Shelby & Miguel (happy newlyweds)

houghtful their responses were. I’d like to shout out Henry in particular for his professionalism and communication, who came recommended by our venue. Everything behind the scenes was extremely seamless. The day of, he included all our favorite songs, pronounced everyone’s names correctly as the MC, and kept everything flowing with an upbeat and fun nature. We got a lot of compliments! Thank you again for helping make our special night so perfect. We know it took a village and we are so grateful that we chose the best of the best to help us achieve the most special day of our lives.

and went through the day with all his touchpoints in the most clear way possible. And we were right. Communication with Henry is a breeze - he always summarizes our meetings afterwards with detailed notes, clear action items, and deadlines. We had a wide selection of music for dinner and the dance floor, including having one of our friends who's also a DJ do a set in the middle and incorporating English as well as Chinese songs, and Henry handled all that very well. The dance floor was packed and the vibes are great. Thank you Henry!

poke to and he was amazing in understanding exactly what we were looking for and seemed genuinely excited about our day in every conversation! Woody was our DJ assigned to our wedding and he knocked it out of the park! I had a couple of particular ideas about song timing for entrances and special moments and he nailed it all! One of my family members even  commented how seamless the transition from the groom’s entrance song was to the bride’s song and thought he remixed it to work so well together! Everyone had an amazing time and I truly believe a big part of it was thanks to Woody for keeping the best vibes with the perfect music! Thank you again Woody!!

y, Paul was great at keeping the flow and helping organize the day by helping coordinate speeches, announcements, and of course music. He is very friendly and great to work with. He made the dancing so much fun with the lighting and effects, and picked the perfect order of music. Everyone had a blast. I really recommend him for y our event, and the price is well worth the professionalism and quality of service you get.

or was SUCH a highlight -- everyone had a great time. He was also really easy to coordinate with in advance of the wedding -- gave clear direction on what he needed from us, and kept things organized. I also really appreciate the way he supported us when one of our other musicians (unrelated to Big Fun) were being difficult last minute. It was a stressful moment and Woody had my back, encouraging them to stick with the plan. Everything went off without a hitch. Thanks again!!!

laining every part of how he would fit in to our big day. When we had a few extra questions and request in the weeks leading up to the day, Henry was extremely responsive and worked with us with all the extra details to make them happen. He even had great suggestions and clarifications to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. When the day arrived, everything came together like a well oiled machine. All of the logistics of different locations went off without a hitch, and when the dance floor opened up, we kept having our guests come up to us and tell us how awesome the DJ and the dance floor were. Wish we could get married again to book Henry again!

for me—laying out so clearly what we could expect and how he would run things as MC. He made us so many thoughtful song edits to make sure we had the absolutely best choices to fit our vibe (and accommodate our aversion to dancing to three minute long songs). He kept the dance floor going strong all evening, navigated the transitions between him and our live entertainment seamlessly, and spoke excellent phonetic Spanish. We had no mic or sound issues to speak of! And the fog machine was everything. Thanks, DJ Henry and BigFunDiscJockeys!

laylists he put together were perfect—he seamlessly blended our favorite songs with crowd-pleasers, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. He also went above and beyond with the lighting, transforming the venue into something magical. He was so professional, flexible, and fun to work with, and he really knew how to read the room. We couldn’t be happier with the experience, and our guests are still talking about how great the music and atmosphere were. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows how to create the perfect vibe for your wedding, look no further—he’s absolutely the best!

ns for our big day, we knew we wanted to make sure that people really compelled to actually get up and dance. Henry came recommended to us through our planner who mentioned that he had the guests at her last wedding absolutely SWEATING on the dance floor. That sounded just perfect to us! We had a special request music compilation for a combination father/daughter mother/son dance that Henry was able to turn around to us in absolutely record time! It made our lives so much easier since we no longer had to struggle with making a bootleg quality cut with youtube and a free version of audacity Henry had great attention to detail when it came to the pronunciations of everyone's names (including those of our parents and whole wedding party). Additionally, he provided us with a convenient way of breaking down our music selections by category (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, wedding party walk in, etc.). This made the process of curating the tone of the day much easier since we were able to pick music to match each place and time. Even though our group was mixed generations, Henry did a great job getting everyone up and dancing with a mix of music that catered well to all ages and demographics. We highly recommend Big Fun for your next big (or small) event!

l completely at ease, we knew we were in great hands. On the day of the wedding, he not only played our playlist but also set up karaoke! It was a huge hit with our guests and created some truly memorable moments. Seeing our friends and family take the mic and have fun together was such a joy. The energy on the dance floor was electric. He knew just when to keep the party going and when to slow things down, ensuring that everyone felt included and had a fantastic time. His professionalism and attention to detail made everything flow. Thank you Paul for being such an important part of our special day. You truly helped us create memories that we and our guests will cherish forever!

ident that we were in excellent hands. We felt so comfortable around him- he is approachable, friendly, professional, easygoing, detail oriented, and very funny. We had never navigated wedding planning before, so he gave us much needed and helpful advice on how to plan our ceremony and timeline as a whole. It definitely helped that he also asked us important announcements to make to the guests because the guests were effortlessly guided to the next event without any stress. Woody executed the ceremony very well. All the music was played at the right times, and he even spent the time looping our processional songs so that we would not have to awkwardly walk in silence at any point. He worked so hard at home to prepare for the wedding day so that we would have great music. Woody also was great at clarifying our must-haves for the ceremony, which we appreciated because we knew we were in great hands with him. For our cocktail hour and dinner, Woody was a fantastic MC. Everyone knew what was happening or what was coming next, and his upbeat energy matched the vibe without interjecting too much into the events - it was really perfect! For our grand entrance, he was flexible on when to play the start of the song, and also cut our first dance song to be 2 minutes so that we could hear our favorite parts without dancing for too long. We are so appreciative of his hard work in cutting the song prior to the wedding for us to have the most perfect first dance that we envisioned. We had an EPIC dance floor with Woody. We had SO MUCH FUN. He knew how to keep the dance floor going and played all the right songs. We had a playlist for him to use and he decided when to play certain songs depending on his expertise and experience with which songs play best at the beginning vs end of dancing and it was perfect. We had a special request for him to play All I Want For Christmas Is You as our last dance song and his intro for that song was so great - Woody rolled with our idea, and everyone had a great time with it and it was very memorable. We especially loved that his DJ set up included strobe lights and a fog machine - it is the little details that make a huge difference! Overall we highly recommend Big Fun Disc Jockeys and Woody for your DJ services. We had a busy packed timeline but Woody executed it so well; we had SO much fun at dancing and we owe it all to you Woody!

eforehand including timeline of the wedding ad every song or playlist we wanted for a certain part of our wedding. We could not have asked for a better service, and everyone loved how he handled the wedding music and experience he helped create for our Special Day! thank you Paul and Big Fun DJ's!

right off the bat. We first spoke with Paul, who gave us a very detailed overview of their services and answered all the questions and concerns we had. We then worked with our assigned DJ, Henry, who is super professional, nice, and responsive. He did a fantastic job at our wedding and I really couldn't recommend him enough! Henry took care of all the sound systems at different locations at the venue, music playlists, emcee duties, and microphones for the ceremony and reception. Honestly, it was totally worth having a total professional handle all of that so we didn't have to worry about it at all.

xtremely organized and made the planning process as easy as possible for us. When we had trouble deciding on aspects of the schedule or song choices, he offered suggestions which always ended up being the ones we went with. He was proactive, responsive, and we never worried about the music or emceeing because Paul was on top of everything and communicated well with our other vendors. Atmosphere: We had a variety of atmospheres we wanted to create for each portion of our reception and Paul found the perfect music to do that. For the dancing portion, we had a wide range of ages and music tastes amongst our guests but he somehow filled the dance floor and had our guests dancing on (and around the perimeter) until the end of the night. We had a wonderful experience with Paul and BIG FUN Disc Jockeys and would absolutely work with him again for future events!

ionalism and enthusiasm as he explained everything and answered our questions — after speaking with him, it was an easy decision, and we ended up being thrilled with their service throughout the entire process. We worked with DJ Stefano Bortolin for our wedding, and he was also a pleasure to work with. He was super communicative, flexible about a last minute song change, and very detail-oriented. We gave him a playlist with some of the songs that we wanted to hear at the cocktail hour and reception, and he made sure to include more than just the handful we had picked as "must plays." He made the music feel more like a reflection of us as a couple, which was really special. We also got a lot of compliments about the music on the dance floor, which stayed full throughout the night. I highly recommend Big Fun!

ght. Everyone loved it! We loved their professionalism, expertise on optimal song length for important dances, the awesome light/fog setup that comes with the standard package, and their commitment to making sure the vibe is great for the whole party. We definitely hope to use them again at a future event and would highly recommend them to friends/family!

day, he was on top of managing the sound system and helping us transition from one event to the next. And he paid attention to the crowd during the dance portion so we had people on the dance floor the whole evening! We would definitely recommend BIG FUN Disc Jockeys for future events.

e actual big day, Paul was professional, knowledgable, and communicative. The entire process was a breeze. Few highlights: 1) BIG FUN DJ doesn't nickel and dime you! Their prices are laid out on their website. The prices were more than fair, and I really appreciated the transparency. 2) Paul acted not only as our DJ / MC but also as our sound engineer. He set up the speakers and mic'd everyone up. He made sure everyone could hear our officiant and our vows, and he helped provide guidance to our guests. All audio + music throughout the day was seamless. 3) Finally, the music!! Paul totally understood the vibe we wanted on the dance floor (think early 2000s pop). We had 4 hours of dancing planned, and he made sure the dance floor was packed the whole night. His set up included lights as well, which added to the vibe. So, so many of our guests asked for our playlist and complimented Paul. I can't recommend them and Paul enough! Book them!!

ighly recommend BIG FUN Disc Jockeys, they truly completed our wedding.

game and the crowd laughing. He showed up early and took care of set up and break down in a timely way. He also made sure our guests didn't linger in the room, so that we weren't charged. He was very professional and I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He also met with us via Zoom in order to make sure everything we wanted played would be played and assured us that he would read the crowd. We wanted a mix of Latin music and pop and he did that blend perfectly. Thank you so much! I would work with you guys again should I need a DJ. Thank you again :)

to hire Henry and Big Fun DJs. As we had hoped, he kept the emceeing low-key, but was warm, gracious and funny. He had great suggestions of where to put the dance floor and on various process items, all of which worked out incredibly well. He was also very receptive to our rather unique requests regarding music, which we appreciate. You can tell this is a labor of love for Henry and the DJs at Big Fun DJs, and they're very invested in ensuring you have the experience you want.

ive to detail. He also coordinated with our Mariachi band for a seamless transition. The dance lighting provided by Big Fun DJs also added to the fun party atmosphere. We had so many comments from our friends after the wedding about how amazing our DJ was. I never left the dance floor. We highly recommend Big Fun Disc Jockeys and DJ Woody!

etail-oriented. He asked which song we would like for every big moment, how we would like to be announced, and even gave us homework for items we needed to think on. Henry also gave really helpful advice and suggestions regarding our event timeline (like how long it takes for guests to move from one area to another, how long certain special event songs should be, etc.) He was quick to send the shortened edited versions of our first dance song, father-daughter song, and so on. (This was super helpful for dance practice!) He was also a great emcee at our wedding, smoothly transitioning through each part of the day. The music really sets the mood and tone at an event, and we are extremely pleased that our wedding truly sounded and felt like “us” the whole way through. Henry had us make Spotify playlists for cocktail hour, dinner, and our dance party (including a “must have” list for dancing). This allowed him to play the exact songs we love, and gave him ideas of what we wanted. A lot of our guests are friends that share different elements of our music taste (house, techno, kpop, pop, funk, and r&b). We also had older relatives present, so we weren’t sure how this would go. Henry did an amazing job mixing everything in, and he captured our music tastes perfectly. He even managed to play every single song on our “must” list! Many of our guests told us how much fun they were having, and all of our guests stayed until send-off. We can’t explain how special and awesome it felt to have our wedding soundtrack so personalized to us. It felt like we were in a movie!!! You’ll just have to see for yourself. Thanks again for everything, Henry! (All photos by alicialuciaphotos @IG)

ping to curate the perfect songs list, doing the homework, understanding the crowd, then flawless execution while making adjustments on the fly. One other thing that really stood out was his ability to communicate in a clear manner during the pre-event call and in his emails. Henry is a DJ who will tirelessly work to make your event special and memorable. We had so much fun at our event and I would work with him again and again!

with music and making sure the vibe is fun and upbeat, so picking the right DJ was super important for me. The overall experience with Felipe was awesome! He did such a great job making sure ALL the music genres flowed throughout the night and had a smooth transition into each song. We had a huge range of songs we wanted from country, pop, rock, oldies, alternative, and even a little Bay Area hyphy music. The entire night went so smooth and had me dancing the entire night on the dance floor with my guests. Felipe was super organized when it came to meeting us on zoom before the wedding and talking through the timeline and he gave us a list of songs we needed to pick out for different events throughout the night (walk out song, recessional, first dance, cake cutting, etc.) Felipe made sure to communicate with my venue coordinator so I didn’t even need to worry about where he was going to set up or if there was enough space for him, which was one less thing I needed to worry about on the day of. Overall, Felipe and BIG FUN DJ was great and would recommend to anyone!

othly transition from each layer of the event was fantastic. And he kept the dance floor so Live! We provided him with a list of songs and he mixed it perfectly for our guests of all ages and backgrounds! I’m Kenyan and he was able to play some of the most amazing Afro beats throughout his set. People are still talking about the music from our wedding and how much they danced the night away! What an incredible DJ, we cannot wait to work with him again!!! We recommend him for anyone looking to have a great and reliable DJ!

odifications super smoothly the day of the event whenever there were requests. His communication before, during, and after the event, was all fantastic. We had lots of comments from guests after the event, saying how much they liked the dancing part of the wedding, and the DJ! Henry made it truly special and memorable, and his effort, care, kindness, and talent really should through at every step of the way. I would very highly recommend Henry to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding!

stly a steal for the level of expertise and service you get. From his ultra-responsive communication during the planning phase to the epic smoke on the dance floor, Henry absolutely crushed it. Our working relationship with Big Fun DJs was perhaps the smoothest and low-stress out of the ~10 wedding vendors we hired. Henry was the epitome of "strong opinions, loosely held", meaning that he had an astute point of view when we sought his opinion, but was always flexible to accommodate any out of the box requests. We would strongly recommend Henry & Big Fun DJs to anyone planning a wedding in the bay area.

y and fun and helped us with some unique requests like blending a custom song mix for the parent dances. Would definitely recommend!

ing to walk through our day and answer any of our questions. He was extremely thorough and knowledgable walking us through all of the specifics around not just the music but also the sound system, lighting and events of the day. He even helped us edit our first dance song so that we could have a shorter version of it to practice with in advance. On the day of our wedding, everything went super smoothly. Our ceremony had perfect audio sound and everyone could hear everything very clearly. All the speeches throughout the night had perfect audio as well. The music on the dance floor was spot on and so much fun! Make sure Woody plays Mr. Brightside by the killers. We would’ve never requested this song, but Woody put it on and it was the highlight of the night. Our guests were going nuts with their light sticks, and it’ll be a memory we never forget! Woody absolutely killed it and we are so grateful!! Thank you Woody!

ist, are easy to work with, are reasonably priced, and do an incredible job of reading the room well. We never felt like they were obtrusive during the event, and Woody did exactly what he said he would do for the day of. We highly recommend Big Fun DJ and Woody.

ions, all the way to the last dance, Woody was attentive, communicative, flexible, and just amazing! We danced the night away thanks to him. Highly recommend BIG FUN for any event!

dence in someone going into the event - Henry's next-level professionalism and expertise really shone through. We feel so lucky to have found him and especially for him handling our wedding personally! The weeks before felt like chaos but with Henry's organized planning session, specific questions, guided homework, and informed advice, I felt so reassured that we were in good hands. Thank you Henry for giving us so much say and yet also so much order! And the speediness of responses and that same-night first dance edit - just wow! Book them now! It'll make your life so much easier!

as very comprehensive and everything went smoothly from start to finish. He was always responsive right away and managed a few last minute changes with ease. The dance floor was a lot of fun and multiple guests commented on how much they liked the music. I would highly recommend Big Fun for a wedding or any other event.

s between activities, and creating a fun environment with great music! We highly recommend BIG FUN for your next event!!!

made everything flow perfectly! He gave great suggestions for lots of small things we never even considered and helped shorten the music when we needed it slightly different. He set up the microphones well so that people could actually hear us during the ceremony and he set up a microphone for people to call out photos during the cocktail hour. He also was 100% on top of the schedule and reminded us to cut our cake before our photographers left because we were dancing so much we totally forgot. We even had others ask us what DJ we used! We love Paul, thank you for all your help!

!! Our guests loved the music and Woody kept the dance floor full even though our guests aren’t “typically” dancers. :) Highly recommend!

e and beyond to anticipate your needs before you even anticipated them yourself. Henry communicated promptly with us throughout the wedding planning process, and continued to be attentive to our suggestions and adaptable to out guests' needs on our wedding day. He is truly passionate about what he does and he owns his craft! Not only is he a DJ, but he is a mastermind wedding planner, terrific emcee and host, and just an all around amazing person. My husband is very picky about his DJs and he could not be happier with Henry as our DJ.

elped us with nailing down all the fine details we didn't even think of before the wedding. He took all of our requests and made them happen. His timing with music, ability to gather the attention of our guests, and work seamlessly was amazing. Him and his crew did such a great job at set up and tear down, and brought so many great pieces of equipment that made our dance floor SO much better. Henry did an amazing job at reading the room and playing songs that would get people up and dancing. We had so many of our guests say that our DJ was one of the best DJs they have ever experienced at a wedding, and that they literally could not stop dancing. I could not recommend BIG FUN enough for your wedding or next event!

little details. Day of he worked seamlessly with our coordinator and helped keep the reception on schedule. The music he played was also excellent! It really matched the vibe of our crowd. After our wedding, everyone kept telling us how great he was and how much they loved the songs! Something to note, price wise, I got a few quotes from other vendors and Big Fun was slightly more expensive. However, I think they were worth every penny because of how easy they were to work with and the quality of their service.

Quang was so easy to work with and made us feel assured that everything will run smoothly, which it did! One highlight of our wedding is the dance floor, where we were surprised that they had a smoke machine, which was awesome and everyone loved. I highly recommend Big Fun for weddings!! Thank you, Quang, for doing such an incredible job and making our wedding memorable.

scheduling, answering our questions and accommodating our changes. On the wedding day, Henry nailed every single one of our requests. He was able to put together the perfect playlist of Chinese/English songs that created a fitting atmosphere, and helped us keep the day moving according to schedule as the MC. He had great pointers during our planning process (all of his tips for our day-of schedule were on point), and pleasantly surprised us with his above and beyond work - professionally creating extended versions our processional/grand entrance songs within a DAY, and working with our bridesmaids (without us knowing or asking) to provide the music and setup for their speech. We could not recommend Henry and BIG FUN any more highly. Hoping to see him soon at our friends weddings!
