Bekker's Catering

my questions as my event came near. The food was very delicious!! I loved how great the chicken tasted and the meatball appetizers were such a hit with my guests. My catering lead at my wedding, Lacey, was very professional and helpful and her staff were very attentive. This catering company has amazing packages to choose from and for the price - worth every penny at such a great deal! I would use again for any other event honestly.

er year. After reading their incredibly positive reviews, I decided to reach out and Haley answered my first call. She was so helpful in talking through a proposal and quickly sent over what we discussed. There were so many things I hadn't thought of that she explained and asked questions about. I contacted several other local caterers, but many took days to respond or required scheduling calls just to answer simple questions. With Bekker’s, I could call during business hours and always reach someone. That level of accessibility was invaluable when quick questions or changes came up. Their menu and rental options were fantastic as well. I highly recommend booking a tasting once you’ve narrowed down your menu. It's a really great opportunity to talk with staff about your proposal and understand the menu options. The service and food on our wedding day were flawless. We got married at the Junípero Serra Museum in October, and the event staff were truly wonderful. They were kind, attentive, upbeat, and fully engaged throughout the entire evening. We offered passed appetizers, wine service, and cake service, so they were assisting guests nonstop. We also received countless compliments on the food. After the event, at least ten people mentioned how incredible the Kale & Strawberry Salad was! You absolutely cannot go wrong with Bekker’s. I would recommend them again and again!

and the team was professional, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. Even with our changing headcount & budgeting restrictions. Look no further, Highly recommend Bekkers!

supported through the whole process. Would highly recommend!!

ciated. We tried different cuisines before settling on the Polynesian theme for our wedding and the food was INCREDIBLE! Our guests were raving about the pulled pork sliders and the salmon - we will never forget how good it tastes! Also want to give a shout out to Shelley for her amazing service on our wedding day! Thanks again.

th our venue to decide on the menu earlier in the year, the food that came out on the wedding day was even better than our tasting. Everything came out hot, meals were served to 160 guests in great time and the staff was all so friendly and professional. We received lots of compliments on the passed appetizers and entrees! Thank you so much for keeping everyone fed and happy!

d receptive to the small changes we wanted to make or questions that we had. Their communication was timely and professional, and the food was so good! Our guests are still commenting on how delicious the BBQ was. The staff were also very friendly on our wedding day. I would definitely recommend booking with Bekker’s!

ur wedding planning needs. From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation. The food was absolutely delicious AND AFFORDABLE! Our guests kept raving about the buffet, especially the tri-tip and desserts! The team was incredibly efficient, ensuring that everything ran smoothly especially since we did a “room flip” from ceremony to reception seating. And most importantly, we HAVE to highlight our wedding coordinator, Kimberly - what an absolute gem! Ms. Kimberly is HEAVEN SENT. Her expertise, calm demeanor, and ability to adapt to any situation made the day completely stress-free for us - and I truly mean stress free! If you’re looking for a company that delivers exceptional food, outstanding service, and a wedding coordinator who will truly go above and beyond, this is the team to choose. Our wedding day was literally a dream come true and we attribute it all to Kimberly and the Bekker’s Catering team. We can’t thank them enough for the perfect wedding!

, through planning meetings, and the event itself, I felt completely taken care of by every single staff member. One of the owners, Olga, went over my menu with me in such detail—we were so impressed! Everyone is thoughtful, detail-oriented, kind, and professional. I felt like a priority because they take the time to listen to what you want and offer great suggestions based on their decades of experience! You can trust Bekker’s do an excellent job- the execution of my wedding reception was flawless. A special shout-out to Allison, my day-of wedding coordinator from Bekker’s! She is amazing AND YOU SHOULD HIRE HER AND BEKKER’S for your wedding coordination with Bekker's—BEST decision ever. Thank you to Olga, Allison and the whole team at Bekker’s for making my wedding incredible for me, my husband, and all our guests!!

carving station. We absolutely loved having them on our big day and would select them again. Thank you Bekker's for making out big day so memorable!!

ey had to handle, the team was so patient in helping us choose the perfect table linens and answering every question we had. We decided to go with bamboo plates, cloth napkins, and metal silverware, which not only fit our garden theme beautifully but was also a very budget-friendly option. The farm tables they provided were gorgeous, adding an extra touch to the overall atmosphere. The entire team was lovely, and our guests kept mentioning how kind the bartenders were—the friendliest they've ever met! Bekker's Catering really went above and beyond to make our event memorable. Highly recommend!

ray served appetizers and a buffet style dinner, including salmon/chicken, mashed potatoes, and mediterranean veggies). We were able to schedule a tasting ($25/person) to try the foods we wanted for our wedding and the consultation of what package to buy was so thorough! They even provided the cutlery, dishes, linens, and coffee/water station! Would definitely use them again!

ave won Wedding Wire's Couple's Choice Awards for the past 7-8 consecutive years. My husband and I began looking for catering companies a year before our wedding date on 09/30/2023. We used The Knot to book tastings. From the get-go, we knew Bekker's was on the top of our lists for the following reasons: 1. transparent pricing - all package costs are posted on their website, and there are no hidden fees; 2. tons of catering food options; and 3. they offered additional services, such as wedding coordination services, making it a one-stop option for all your wedding planning needs. Once we did our tastings, we knew we had to go with Bekker's for our wedding catering. Not only did they have the best-tasting food, but they also offered the ability to add more things to our packages, such as the late-night snacks, boxed and ready to grab and go, for the end of our wedding event. In addition to the food catering services, we also decided to hire Bekker's for our Day-of Wedding coordination, run by Kimberly and assisted by Makela. Kimberly was the best! Not only did she help put a list together for our master timeline and vendor information months in advance before the wedding, but she also attended our site visits for our wedding reception, kept in contact with all our vendors, and made sure that my husband and I felt cared for and taken care of the day of our wedding. We cannot emphasize enough how amazing it was to work with Kimberly and Bekker's for our wedding, and we would highly recommend any bride/groom to use their services, especially if you have a big wedding in San Diego.

ff our shoulders during the planning process with their positive attitudes and long-time industry experience. In addition to their catering services, we chose to use Bekker’s table setting rentals, chairs, bartending services, and their Complete Wedding Coordination. Our coordinator, Kimberly, was the best coordinator that truly cared about our vision and worked with us every step of the way! Kimberly has an exceptional amount of industry experience and a great amount of grace that really kept my husband and I calm and focused throughout the planning process. On the day of our wedding, Kimberly and her staff made sure that my husband and I were well taken care of. Following our wedding, I have received many raving reviews from my own guests about how delicious the food was, how considerate their staff was, and how kind Bekker’s bartenders were! I would recommend Bekker’s in a heartbeat!!

y that it actually accelerated our time line and gave us extra time for the dance floor! Incredible food and a forever part of our special day, thank you Bekker's team.

ey were very professional. The tasting was fabulous and they laid out all the options for us for our day. We picked the ‘Elegant by Design’ menu and it was wonderful. The tray passed appetizers were SO GOOD! We loved the meatballs and the little ahi poke chips! We elected for family style platters for dinner and they were so fast with getting them to the tables. They made sure the groom and I got food as soon as we sat down and were attentive all night. They specialize in large weddings and their service is top notch! Highly recommend them for your event!

our guests) are definitely very familiar with delicious Mexican food, and let me tell you Bekker's hit the nail on the head. The food was absolutely delicious, everyone went back for seconds. We actually ended up with a decent amount of leftovers, and I was so worried it meant people didn't eat enough, but everyone I talked to over the next few days all raved about how delicious it was and how full they were. The Bekker's team was fantastic to work with, and answered all of our questions. They even assisted/advised on linen colors as needed. Do not hesitate and hire the Bekker's team if you are thinking about it.

edding food I’ve ever had”! Our main dishes were the Herb Crusted Tri Tip and the Chicken Breast in Garlic Herb Sauce. Communication with Kimberly and Rita was always prompt, professional and efficient. They both worked with my husband and I to switch out different dishes from the pre-made menu to change to items we wanted. It was a pleasure to work with Bekker’s Catering, their food, their service, everything was exceptional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

ood (and we received tons of compliments from our guests). We liked that Bekker's had a large variety of options to choose our menu from. They also were great about providing all the ingredient details for guests with food restrictions/allergies which was much appreciated! I would definitely recommend Bekker's Catering for a wedding, they were awesome!

a few. We started with Bekker's because we liked there menu choices. After contacting them directly, our search was over. The food choices and options looked too good to pass up. I will end up repeating myself but these are great people. My wife did most of the coordinating so I didn't have direct contact until our tasting. Even the tasting was an event. We went with a Mediterranean theme and the food was absolutely fantastic. They were so willing and happy to work with us with changes and modifications while we were waiting for all the RSVPs to arrive. They really know what they're doing. When party day came, the crew was there punctually and working as an organized team. It was a sight to behold and gave me the confidence to just focus on the fun part. Everyone from Bekker's was so friendly and caring. They put everything together and made an elegant ballroom. They helped us with things we were trying to do by sharing their expertise. Everyone loved the appetizers main and dessert courses. They even brought in spring water for the tables. These folks are so great. At the end, they disassembled everything with the same magic and efficiency they had used to put it together. They even packed leftovers and helped us load our car. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

me, and not just food but plating and linens and other add-ons. They hosted us for a really enjoyable tasting and everything we choose for food was great, and they were super accommodating with food allergies or other dietary restrictions. Everyone we spoke with as we were planning was friendly and professional. These folks know what they're doing and they're good at it. I can't recommend them enough!!

as so impressed by how quickly they responded to my multiple emails asking various questions. The food tasting to pick what we wanted to serve at the wedding was very helpful. Everyone we communicated with was helpful, professional, and kind.

how the food turned out, and all our guests loved it!

ion for our ceremony, so we got out to speak to her. Despite the fact that she was working Barbara answered our questions and was just a warm person. We received a business card and even a hug as a farewell. As fate would have it, we were so lucky to have stumbled across Barbara and Bekker’s Catering that day. From the moment we agreed to go with Bekker’s as our caterer and Barbara as our day-of coordinator, we knew we were in good hands. With their professionalism and responsiveness Bekker’s made planning a wedding from the east coast a lot easier than it should have been. We ordered a number of services from the company such as food, chairs and bar services. At no time did they try to ‘upsell’ us on anything. In fact, several times we were told we were ordering too much. The food provided by Bekker’s on the day of our wedding was fantastic and the service and competence exhibited by their staff was wonderful. After our event we received a lot of complementary comments about both the food and the staff. In her role as coordinator Barbara ensured everything was setup at both our ceremony and venue. She took care of everything such as, bar area, food stations, decorations, gift table, etc. on the day. As a result of her organization and hard work our day went off without a hitch. We could not have done it without Barbara. Thanks to Bekker’s and Barbara for helping to make our wedding a truly fantastic day!

ine, so I gave Bekker's a call. She was so courteous and thoughtful. She walked me through many options and even showed us other options that may be a better value. I couldn't believe how much she helped me get focused. When we decided to book Bekker's, I had a lot of specific needs. They went above and beyond to fulfill all of them. They sliced a cake we got from another vendor, and passed an Hors d'oeuvres for us. I love that Bekker's made sure everything on our day was perfect! Thank you so much!

u. Everything was wonderful. Tatiana gave us a welcoming first impression. From the first moment we spoke, she held my hand every step of the way. I don't know how I would've ever been able to get through the entire wedding planning process and day without her. She is worth her weight in gold and much more! I had a stress free planning experience and wedding day because of Tatiana. She was the point of contact for all of my vendors the day of the wedding. I gave her creative license for decor because I trusted her professional judgement. She knew what I liked based on my Pinterest boards that I had shared with her. She was caring, knowledgeable, professional, sincere and available. You will not regret booking with Bekker's catering and choosing Tatiana as your coordinator. The staff that accompanied Tatiana at the wedding reception were warm, friendly and professional. I could tell that they truly enjoyed being there to make the day as special as possible. Thank you so much for making one of the most important days of my life so beautiful and memorable.

ce. As the vision of our wedding was solidified, Bekker’s was more than happy to work with me to update our contract, as needed. Our wedding food was delicious and we had multiple people tell us that our dinner was “the best wedding food they’ve ever had.” We have zero regrets having Bekker’s cater our wedding and will recommend them to friends and family for future events.

ous! Our guests raved about how tasty it was and the bartenders were incredibly professional and friendly! I will be booking Bekker's for all of our future events!

stions I had, to ensure that our day was exactly what we wanted. They were such a pleasure to work with the entire way. They had the largest selection of food and a range of prices to meet any budget! I got so many compliments from guests on the appetizers and the main dinner. Highly recommend!

we knew from then that this was going to be our caterer! everyone at the wedding also agreed that the food was super great! also, whenever we called to make a change to the menu prior to our wedding, which happened like 3 or 4 times, they always helped us out so patiently. and what exceeded our expectations was that they decorated the whole buffet line to match our wedding theme! it was such a pleasant surprise! they really are an awesome caterer in san diego!!

t of helpful, courteous, professional and attentive to our needs. On the day of the event, the venue did not have the number of chairs promised and Lacey immediately took over and arranged to have chairs delivered by Bekker’s (thank you Jennifer for the delivery!). The food was fabulous and they even prepared a meal to accommodate my food allergies. Thank you for helping to make our day special!

so added on the Deluxe Day-Of Coordinator and they set us up with Tatiana. She was amazing. She went above and beyond starting months before the wedding. We had a slightly nontraditional wedding and she didn't skip a beat. She ensured everyone and everything was where they needed to be. She never seemed the least bit overwhelmed and she has a great sense of humor. Throughout the reception she made sure myself, the groom, and our families had everything they needed.

, and they responded quickly. We chose the “Greek Goddess” menu, which had yummy kabobs as well as Tzatziki Sauce and Spanakopitas that our guests later raved about. The highlight of working with Bekker’s catering was our day-of-wedding coordinator, Barbara. She was exceptional! She was prompt in replying to my questions, and she was such a kind and warm person to work with. I don’t have any event planning experience, so to have someone I could call or email and ask questions about everything from centerpieces to getting my wedding dress steamed and pressed was such a relief! Everything was absolutely beautiful on my wedding day, and she made the rehearsal the night before and the day of the wedding 100% stress free for me. My Mom told me that hiring Barbara was one of the best decisions that I made for my wedding, and I 100% agree! I highly recommend Bekker’s catering and Barbara for your wedding! Thank you!

en I asked for a quote on a menu, chairs, linens, cake, and same day wedding coordination. I was assigned Barbara as my coordinator and she was exceptional. She was prompt with communication via email, text, and phone calls. She was warm and accommodating and really listened to and respected what I wanted while also providing great suggestions and input. I felt I could trust her completely to get everything set up and running smoothly which was a huge Relief because I was coming from out of town. Everything looked absolutely beautiful on the big day and she made my reception 100% stress free for me. I would definitely recommend Bekker’s to anyone planning a wedding or event in the Dan Diego area and would most certainly work with them again.

ng a menu and service that fit our needs at an affordable price. We received a lot of compliments from guests on the customized Mamma Mia package we selected. We would highly recommend Bekker's.

onalism, quality, and willingness to go the extra mile. Their staff met with us to review food choices early on and Tatiana in particular was a huge help in terms of helping us coordinate all of the details as the event drew closer. Bekker's not only provided amazing food, but their event crew and team leader James were 100% on point, ensuring everything went smoothly and according to the event timeline. Bekker's also coordinated the pickup and delivery for tables and chairs, all of which went perfectly. If you are looking for the very best catering and event company, look no further than Bekker's. Thank you so much for making our wedding day amazing!

. Everyone loved the food and we had people going back for additional portions of food even during dessert! They also let us borrow their cooler to take home all the leftovers and there was no rush on returning it. Made things very convenient and we could return the cooler after our honeymoon. Going with them was affordable, delicious, and easy as they helped us execute our vision for food while taking into consideration the health of our guests. And they even had a couple of servers prepare plates for my husband and I and then find us during the reception to bring us a plate of dessert. Which I'm so happy about because otherwise I wouldn't have had a chance to grab any!

n choosing our food options, getting an incredible value and not breaking the bank. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious! We hired Barb as our day-of-coordinator and I genuinely don't know what we would have done without her! She was incredible and went above and beyond. Highly recommended!

stress free event then choose Bekker's. Shout out to the marvelous Tatiana Penix for helping me every step of the way and making my wedding one of the best days of my entire life. Having everything come from one vendor will make your wedding planning SO MUCH EASIER, trust me! We hired Bekker's for our wedding in May 2018, 130 guests, and needed full service, including food, bartender, rentals, and day of coordinator. My wedding day could not have been more beautiful, relaxing, and AFFORDABLE. FOOD: My guests to this day are still raving about the food. We barely had any leftovers, because our guests were going back for seconds and thirds. My husbands only complaint of the day was that he did not get a second plate of food on our wedding day because the food was so good and there wasn't enough time for us to eat two plates and go around to all our guests tables! We had the tri tip (bomb), bbq chicken (so tender), baked mac and cheese (MY FAVORITE), garlic bread, and two different salads that were excellent. You would never had guessed that it was catered. RENTALS: Rentals could not have been easier. They provided everything. I honestly was not expecting how beautiful the event space looked and it was above and beyond what I had hoped for. They even helped set up center pieces on the tables and provided some extra decor for our wedding for no charge. Decor and rentals were on point, and they left the venue cleaner than we found it after the wedding. COORDINATOR AND STAFF: Bekker's provided me with the best wedding coordinator I could have asked for. If you need a coordinator, ask for TATIANA PENIX!!!! I felt like I was planning my wedding with a best friend. She was so sweet, answered EVERY txt, email, or call within within hours of my calling, so organized, attentive, all her advice and recommendations were spot on, and she coordinated my wedding day without one hitch. The best thing about Bekker's is how much they care! The staff were so attentive, clean, professional, and organized. I did not have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day and just had to show up. I will be recommending Bekker's to everyone. They go ABOVE AND BEYOND for their customers. Thank you so much Bekker's and Tatiana for everything. I could not have done it without you. Daniel and Rae Vogel
