dding day she was efficient, communicative and overall everything I could have asked for. On the dance floor she took so many pictures and I didn’t even know she was there! I am so HAPPY Joy was our photographer even others were stating after the event that she seemed amazing. I can’t recommend her enough!

mmented on many of them “how did she get that picture?” The family photos after the ceremony were spectacular. We would recommend Joy without hesitation.

and her team were professional, friendly, and fun to be around. Joy has a true gift for capturing moments with an eye for unique angles and creative shots we never would have thought to ask for. She took the time to get to know us and made both our engagement session and wedding day feel that much more special. y incredible to work with! Her package pricing is extremely reasonable that includes a complimentary engagement shoot. We weren’t planning to do one, but so glad we did- as it gave us a chance to get to know Joy and how kind and lovely she is and also see how incredibly talented she is! Apart from that, she provided us an extremely helpful timeline and helped us stick to it as best we could. She was seamless in keeping things moving and capturing moments all while being a wonderful presence throughout our wedding day. She had photos for us within days, and they were truly spectacular! We cannot recommend her highly enough for any photos you need taken but especially for your wedding!

we met with her and ran over our vision, request, and timeline she gave it all with no extra push. Her team for our wedding day also gave 100%. She is a joy(ha ha) to be around and her number is forever in my phone.

tos taken of me (the bride) in normal life are of the marathon / running photo variety, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel with more posed couple photos. Joy made everything feel so natural and easy between both the engagement shoot and the wedding day. Joy is extremely organized and is fantastic with time management - her template for the timeline worked so well for further planning. When the ceremony ran over, she got us back on target and moving out of the church while getting all the photos we had requested. She has such great vision for small details and how things will photograph - I often said “I trust your vision!” and the photos turned out so stunning! I especially wanted to remember the day in color, and Joy absolutely delivered on that (and quickly, too - the sneak peeks came back the next day!). She truly captured the magic of a fairytale day, and I am thankful to her and her team for their hard work. Joy is an invaluable asset to have on your wedding day, and you truly will not regret booking with her.

e of ease. Planning out of state was very difficult at times but I can honestly say Joy was NEVER a concern and she gave me full confidence and truly delivered on that. We received unbelievable photos the DAY AFTER our wedding and she captured the day and fall colors incredibly. My family members and friends also loved the photos. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, and the other photographers/helpers that day could also not have been kinder. She kept us on schedule and helped develop a very accurate timeline. She is very organized and knows how to get photos efficiently that truly capture the moment. Thank you so much Joy! We will absolutely see you again for pictures in the future :)

gement photos could not look better- her skill is exceptional. Our photos look like they came out of a magazine, and we had so much fun taking them. Neither of us have ever had professional photos or photoshoots before, and we were nervous about looking awkward. Joy captured our natural moments in such a flattering way and also helped pose us for some photos without looking forced at all. Going through our photos afterwards, we really feel like we are reliving the day- that’s how incredible they are! From the beginning, Joy was so professional, organized and responsive. My work schedule is inflexible and I have very inconvenient hours which made wedding planning stressful and difficult at times. Joy completely accommodated me and my schedule, even if it was an inconvenient time for her. I had a lot of questions leading up to my wedding day, and Joy responded to all of my e-mails and questions so thoroughly and patiently. By scheduling meetings with us well before our wedding day, she created a really organized schedule for the day and made sure that we got in all of the shots and people that we wanted. Joy also brought the BEST and most positive energy to our day! My husband and I were so comfortable with her, and it shows in our photos. Choosing Joy will be the best decision you make for your wedding day!

oot with her the year before our big day, we were confident we were in good hands for our wedding photos. From the beginning, Joy made us feel at ease, especially considering my initial nervousness about posing for photos. She has a remarkable ability to capture moments that feel genuine, real and not overly staged. What impressed us even more was Joy's quick turnaround time. meline and creating our list of desired photos. I couldn't recommend her higher, she truly is an incredible talent.

n as a bride there is so much going on to manage. She sets clear expectations and remembers your feedback to ensure you get the best shots, the types of poses you love and introduces new beautiful ideas that you wouldn't have thought about. The pictures from both events were AMAZING! We were so happy with them all. I hope to use her services again. She is a gem! Thank you Joy

photos, but it was also all of the little things Joy did along the way that really made it so special. Communication was excellent and Joy was always quick to answer our many questions. Before this experience, neither my husband nor I really enjoyed being photographed, but Joy made us feel so comfortable throughout and we received such magical photos as the end result. On the wedding day, she and her team were so organized and kept us right on track with our wedding day schedule. From connecting with her love for Disney and the appreciation of all the creative photo locations Joy made us try, we really loved working with her on a personal and professional level. We can't wait for Joy to shoot our family for years to come!!

and running (especially running AT Disney parks!), I had such a great feeling about Joy before we even met with her! Once we did meet with Joy, picking her as our photographer was a no-brainer. My fiance and I just just felt an immediate comfort and trust with Joy. When it came time for our engagement pictures, we hit a bit of a snag with our location, and so less that 48 hours before the shoot, we were having to start conversations about relocating. She was so willing to work with us and our specific requests, like including our daughter into the pictures and finding a location that would make that feasible for that. As we were driving to the location we started getting thunderstorm warnings. We got to the forest preserve and Joy worked quickly and efficiently to make sure that we got all the gorgeous pictures that we could want. She guided us easily through poses, and encouraging us when we felt awkward (which helped to continue to put us at ease and feel more comfortable. Leading up to the day of the wedding, I had zero concerns about our timeline because Joy very explicitly timed things out for me. I knew exactly where everyone needed to be and when which eased so much of my anxiety. On the day of the wedding, Joy was a friendly and calming face. She was a stage manager organizing the entire bridal party as the boys and girls were getting ready in rooms that were literally right next door, but managed to keep us separated. She was a visionary, finding the perfect spots that made for the most beautiful photographs. She was able to also keep up the spirits and keep the attentions of an 8-year-old and two 1-year-olds throughout all of the family portraits! Joy was magic. I don't have enough amazing things to say about Joy; and I think the biggest compliment I could give would be to say that I absolutely cannot wait to work with her again in the future and we most definitely will be!

oughtful, compassionate, professional, and fun work ethic. She truly cared so much about my husband and I from the moment we had our engagement photos. Joy is AMAZING when it comes to making your photo dreams come true. We were blown away by the locations and shots she chose that represented us perfectly as a couple. On our wedding day, she was more than just our photographer as she made sure we were on schedule, fluffed my veil and train, and created a fun environment for our wedding party. Finally, her turnaround time for communication, receiving sneak peeks and photographs is a major bonus; by the time we were heading to our honeymoon we already had photographs to relive our most exciting day! If we could, we would choose Joy again and again to capture our wedding! We look forward to working with her in the future!

t photos downtown Lemont and got all the perfect spots for our wedding day. On our wedding day Joy was organized and took control getting our wild bunch in order for the day. Joy was willing to help out with anything that came up on the wedding day, she's more than just a photographer! She puts her heart and soul into her passion of getting the best shots, while having a good time. Lastly, Joy's turn around on picture gallerys is insanely fast. We landed for our honeymoon with a sneak peak gallery to review, it was the perfect way to continue our wedding high. If we could pick Joy again we would a million times over and over again!

are the sweetest people to work with! I cherish the photos she captured and received so many compliments from friends and family on the quality and speed we received them! Along with having a digital portal, she provided our wedding photos on a wooden USB drive within a beautiful wood box that had our names and wedding date carved. She made the entire experience feel so special. Thank you so much, Joy!

Joy’s talent is noticed by more than just us as the bride and groom — hearing from our friends and families post-wedding, the number one comment is how amazing our photographer was. With Joy you get more than fantastic photos; you also get a cheerleader and fan at your wedding. She is kind, funny, patient, and easy to get along with. She and her team made us feel so incredibly calm on our big day and she was there for us along the way between engagement photos and the wedding. ghter's engagement photos and they were excellent as well. I highly recommend Being Joy Photography!!

we made for our wedding. Looking through our pictures has helped us relive the day over and over. We had quite the complicated photo request list with my children, my two sets of parents, and my husband's family, but she was able to get it all done with ease. She also took our engagement pictures and my husband, who doesn't like having pictures taken, felt she made the experience enjoyable. Joy is incredibly talented, efficient, and overall a pleasure to work with, we highly recommend her.

soon as we had our photos, we were ecstatic to have her shoot our wedding. Joy does a wonderful job making you comfortable and have fun during the photos. Our wedding day was a bit chilly but not a single picture shows that, Joy and her team had us and our entire bridal party laughing and loose through it all. When I say our photos were breathtaking, I am not exaggerating. Joy is unbelievable and her work is perfection. She captured so many details, that we would have never thought we would want photos of, but are so grateful to have. She captured the emotion so beautifully in our ceremony pictures. She was able to capture the joy, excitement and party of the reception. Most importantly, we are in love with every photo she captured of us. We are beyond grateful for Joy and her beautiful work. We already have been recommending her to everybody we know and will continue to recommend her. If you are considering her for your wedding, do it. You will NOT regret it!!

e of not having her. She has an amazing personality that makes you so comfortable in front of the camera and the results are phenomenal! We had to race the sun due to the time change and she handled that a champ and made us a timeline/schedule to go back that made the day run even smoother even though we had restraints. We will definitely be using Joy in the future for all our photography needs!

d out amazing. She even got my husband to smile in photos which NEVER happens!!! We sadly had to change our wedding date due to covid and thankfully joy had our new date open!! She made changing our date so easy, it was one thing we didn't need to stress about. At our wedding half of my bridesmaids who were married said they wish they had joy as their photographer! She made our day so perfect! The sneak peek photos are so amazing that I would be happy if they were the only photos we had! Every bride needs to book joy as their photographer. She is truly gifted at what she does and it shows in her photos! Thank you Joy from the bottom of our hearts! You made my husband and I cry happy tears looking at our photos! Brides, go book joy now!!!

, she ensured that we had a good timeline and also provided ideas for day-of shots. She not only has been professional but also personable, creative, and patient, especially when taking shots of us with our dog. Joy and her team went above and beyond on our wedding day, from gathering bouquets, providing us with water, or holding my dress while walking from one location to another, all while capturing the most beautiful moments of that day. We couldn’t be happier that we were able to work with Joy and would recommend her to anyone.

ouldn't be happier with the forest preserve Joy suggested for our location to shoot - it was perfect. When the pandemic hit and threw a wrench in our initial plans, Joy was extremely accommodating and we were able to reschedule both our bridal shower and wedding to fit our mutual schedules. For our shower, Joy captured all the candid moments from my husband styling the lingerie as we opened gifts to my mom giving a heartwarming speech. We were thrilled and couldn't wait for our wedding day because we knew the quality and commitment that Joy exhibits in her work. The big day was an absolute dream and no detail was missed. Joy, Nina and Aubrey kept us laughing even when our May wedding felt more like a July wedding. In between dabbing sweat from our faces and taking breaks to cool off, no one would even know from the amazing photos we received that we were sweating the whole time. We had a blast with them and enjoyed the process from start to finish. I am sure we will utilize Joy again in the future!

standing! At our 2021 wedding, she was on top of every detail, got every one of the pictures that our family members had requested, and really captured some precious and innovative images that we will treasure for a lifetime! Not only that, Joy truly cares about her clients on a personal level! I can see that the photographic journey we started in 2019 will continue for many years to come!

Joy made this process not only easy but fun! Joy was insightful when helping us make our picture schedule for our wedding day and even answered our questions that were unrelated to photography. Joy added so many little touches to our day that we will always remember. Our guests also really appreciated the time Joy took to take pictures of different family remembers. Her team was organized, helpful and fun. And her pictures are stunning. Everybody needs a Joy at their wedding, EVERYBODY!
