After more than three decades designing high‑impact learning experiences for the Intelligence Community and other mission‑critical organizations, I’ve shifted my focus from training rooms to the shoreline. I used to create programs that helped people perform at their best under pressure; now I pour that same creativity, intentionality, and attention to detail into BeachRiver, our private riverfront retreat in Salem, New Jersey. My work in instructional design taught me that transformation happens when people feel safe, seen, and fully present. That philosophy lives on at BeachRiver, where every space, touch, and moment is crafted to help guests slow down, breathe, and truly experience their own lives—not just pass through them. Life is too short not to savor the experience of life and love, and BeachRiver is my way of turning that belief into something tangible. My husband and I like to say that we don’t just love each other—we love marriage. It may sound unusual, but it’s the truest thing about us: we can’t imagine walking this life’s journey any other way. Our relationship is the heartbeat of BeachRiver and the reason we’re so passionate about hosting couples who are choosing one another, whether for an intimate escape, an elopement, or a micro‑wedding on the water’s edge. We want every guest who walks through our doors to feel what we feel: that love is worth celebrating, investing in, and protecting.
