For my daughter's wedding in September 2026, we selected a venue which required at least a day-of coordinator. Some of their vendors (i.e. DJs / emcees) were on an "optional" list....
Coordinators, on the other hand, had to be chosen from a "required" list of vendors. Knowing that my daughter and I would be doing much of the work, we originally selected the only person who seemed to be a true day-of coordinator. After a brief less-than-satisfactory interaction with that individual, we landed upon Be Your Own Guest and Kelleen. She'd been our number two choice only because of other metrics.
Can I just tell you how profoundly glad I am that the first coordinator fell through?
Let me take a few minutes and talk to you about Kelleen.
She's good-natured and friendly without being overly talkative. She's ultimately competent, leaving you with no question that things will be handled. She has a quiet air of expertise, not one of bravado or brashness. And all these were impressions I had well before our big day.
Everything we asked for, she agreed to with nary a ruffled feather. We did a largely DIY wedding, and she managed everything (other than the very large items which we managed). We didn't have to micro-manage the decor or the placement; we knew that it would look amazing even if things weren't exactly where we'd pictured them. The reality is that I wanted to enjoy the wedding, not make sure that every candleholder was in this or that specific position on a specific table.
And our event did, in fact, look like a princess' dream!
As is inevitable, a serious issue arose at the venue the morning of our big day. I went to Kelleen, and in response she stated—in a very calm voice—'Yeah. I'll handle it.' And she did. Immediately. With no emotional reaction. Just done. Handled.
At our wedding, we had vendors with strong personalities; we'd hired them for other events and knew that there were none better. Just with big personalities! One had a rather take-charge attitude and I was concerned that there might be conflict over what Kelleen thought her role was vs. what this individual thought they would manage. I brought it up to Kelleen as a concern, and while I can't remember her words, exactly, Kelleen's message was, "Take it off your list. It's not a problem. There'll be no problem. That's not who I am."
I cannot overstate how huge it was to have Kelleen leading our team, leading our event. She was 100% on, 100% reliable, 100% accountable, and 100% a presence that gave me confidence that our event was in the best of hands.
The thing that is unfortunate is that not everyone can hire Kelleen. But if you happen to be one of the lottery-winner lucky ones, hire her quick! You won't be sorry you did!

munication month of to make sure everything was coordinated and was able quickly to problem solve last minute questions. She did an awesome job day of keeping us all organized and on track and helping to set everything up. She has such a kind, calm presence which made the day feel much more smooth. We are so glad we booked her and would highly recommend it!

, lock in certain details with our vendors, and make sure everything went to plan the day of our wedding. Among many other things, she made our day of wedding timeline, kept everyone on time, set up and tore down the venue. Even though we just had her “day of coordinator” package, we were able to start discussing things with her and contact her anytime we needed starting 45 days out from our wedding. This was extremely helpful. We can’t recommend Kelleen or Be Your Own Guest enough!!

There truly aren't enough words to describe how incredible Kelleen is.

onths planning every little detail, and since we made about 90% of our decorations ourselves, there was a lot to set up. Walking out for our ceremony and seeing everything come together was one of the most emotional moments of the day. It was somehow even more beautiful than I had imagined. Every single detail was exactly where it was supposed to be, and seeing our vision come to life was something I'll never forget. We have Kelleen to thank for that.
From our very first meeting, Kelleen made us feel completely at ease. She listened to every idea, every detail, every timeline, and every one of my very long emails (haha), and somehow took everything I had envisioned and made it even better. She truly cared about making our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be, and that showed in everything she did. She was incredible during our rehearsal, making sure our entire wedding party knew exactly where to be and what to do. By the time the wedding day arrived, we felt so confident because we knew we were in the best hands.
Throughout the entire day, Kelleen was always there before we even realized we needed something. She was constantly checking in on us, making sure we had food, water, and anything else we needed while also keeping the entire day running so smoothly behind the scenes. Because of her, we were able to be fully present, soak in every moment, and enjoy our wedding day without worrying about a single thing.
Looking back, we truly can't imagine our wedding day without Kelleen. She didn't just bring our vision to life, she somehow made it even more beautiful than we ever imagined. We wouldn't change a single thing about our day, and so much of that is because of her.
Kelleen, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for every meeting, every phone call, every email, every recommendation, and every little detail you took care of along the way. Thank you for treating our wedding like it mattered just as much to you as it did to us.
If you're looking for someone who will genuinely care about your wedding and make you feel completely taken care of from beginning to end, Kelleen is the person you want by your side. Looking back, hiring Kelleen wasn't just one of the best vendor decisions we made, it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, We are forever grateful for everything she did for us.

On our wedding day not only did she assure we got to sit down and eat but made sure everything was going as planned!
