About this vendor
Bat Haus is a unique and versatile wedding venue located in the heart of Brooklyn, designed for couples seeking an intimate and memorable celebration. With its Scandinavian-inspired interior and elegant wooden furniture, the space offers a minimalist yet warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for creating unforgettable moments with your loved ones.
The venue features clean lines, natural wood finishes, and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light during the day. The lush greenery visible through the windows adds a touch of tranquility, creating a serene backdrop for your special day. As the evening sets in, the venue transforms into a cozy haven with its string lights and bamboo light fixtures, providing a soft, romantic glow that enhances the mood of your celebration.
Bat Haus is especially suited for **micro-weddings** and smaller gatherings, comfortably accommodating up to 40 guests. This intimate setting allows you to focus on meaningful connections with your closest friends and family, making your wedding day truly personal and special. The flexible layout options let you design the space to match your vision, whether it’s a formal dinner arrangement or a more relaxed cocktail-style event.
One of the standout features of Bat Haus is its **Scandinavian-style furniture**, including long wooden tables and folding chairs that are both functional and beautiful. These pieces provide a natural and cohesive aesthetic, making additional décor optional rather than necessary. However, you’re welcome to personalize the space with flowers, garlands, or other creative touches to reflect your unique style.
Unlike many traditional venues, Bat Haus offers couples the freedom to choose their own catering service, giving you full control over your menu. Whether you prefer a sit-down dinner, a buffet, or even a food truck, you can design a dining experience that suits your tastes and budget. The venue also includes essential amenities like a refrigerator and kitchen area, ensuring seamless service during your event.
At Bat Haus, customer service is a top priority. From your initial inquiry to the day of your wedding, the responsive team is dedicated to making the planning process smooth and stress-free. Whether you need help arranging tables, advice on decorations, or assistance with cleanup at the end of the evening, the Bat Haus team is always there to support you.
In addition to weddings, Bat Haus is a popular venue for engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, and other pre-wedding events, offering the same charm and flexibility for any celebration. Its convenient Brooklyn location makes it easily accessible for both local and out-of-town guests, adding to its appeal as a sought-after wedding venue.

Back in September, we rented out Bat Haus as a venue for our wedding. We held both the ceremony and reception and it was fantastic. Natalie was incredibly friendly and accommodatin...
g in both helping us prepare and addressing any questions or concerns we had. She was very flexible with our needs regarding setting up beforehand and cleaning up afterwards. Gary was a massive help in the clean up process and kept everything running smoothly. With so many mobile and portable pieces, Bat Haus made it easy to set up the room exactly as needed, especially with a few last minute switches. The long wooden tables and string lights create such an awesome atmosphere. Lovely spot full of character and personality, described by many of our friends and family as the perfect place for us to be married!!
Bat Haus is fantastic. We were looking for a rustic, boho type of atmosphere for our wedding that wouldn't break the bank. This was the most affordable, practical, and conveniently...
located space we looked at, but most importantly, we were both immediately able to envision our wedding there. We fell in love with the permanently installed edison lights and homey backyard area. Charming, romantic, and comfortable, it really suited our DIY celebration. The mezzanine was very handy for getting ready and gathering the wedding party. Also, Natalie is super easy going and great to work with -- she was a big help in the lead up to our event. Highly recommend!
We had our wedding here in October 2018 for 90 people and had a wonderful time! Natalie was responsive, flexible, and very, very easy to work with. The mezzanine was a perfect plac...
e to get ready with friends, the backyard provided a nice change of scenery during the night, and the string lights lent great ambience to the space (and vastly cut down on the amount of decorating we had to do). Plus, not having to worry about renting tables and chairs was a huge relief. The only drawback was that there's only one bathroom, but that's just the space, and I find that people are very flexible. If you prefer a more DIY wedding to an all-inclusive one, this is a perfect spot.
We're so glad we had our intimate (60-person) wedding at the Bat Haus. Natalie was easygoing, communicative, and just really great to work with every step of the way. Our wedding w...
as pretty DIY -- we wanted to bring all of our own wine, order pizzas, etc. -- and the venue was great for that. It's also just a beautiful space even before you put up your decor -- fairy lights, plants, etc.
We had an amazing wedding at BatHaus! Natalie, the owner and venue coordinator, was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She allowed us to visit t...
he space whenever we needed, helped us visualize the details of our wedding, and even did some of the decorating. We were a bit worried about having our ceremony and reception in the same space, but it worked out fine. Since the weather was nice, we were able to use the backyard for the bar, which saved us a bit more space inside. We also liked having the upstairs area to get ready before the ceremony. The string lights, sky lights, and white walls give the space a quirky, urban vibe. We had about 80 people including the staff, and it was a perfect fit. We were glad to have the tables and chairs, which were provided by the venue. The only downside is the fact that there's only one bathroom, but no one seemed to mind. We looked at several venues in New York and BatHaus was definitely the best in terms of value and location. If we had to do it all again, we would definitely choose BatHaus a second time!
This venue was absolutely perfect for what we were going for. Totally rustic and industrial, affordable, and the owner is the nicest most flexible person to work with. It's a great...
DIY space. Everyone complimented us on our decor and location choice.
We had a fantastic experience using the Bat Haus as the reception space for our wedding last week.
We loved how raw the space was and the beautiful wooden tables (that roll and...
lock!) available for use. The backyard was a great place for guests (and our dog) to hang out, the mezzanine with kitchen was a great place for me to get dressed and store things, and the permanent hanging lights in the main space added such a warmth and comfort to the space. It was so beautiful.
Natalie, the space coordinator, was always super supportive and cheerful throughout the whole process. We had a Friday evening reception which meant a tight turnaround time for set up because the Bat Haus is used as a coworking space Monday-Friday, but Natalie was already helping set up when we showed up on Friday evening. She was also great about cleanup and had folks there helping us shut down the event AND let us pick up our leftovers the next day. She was a total dream.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Bat Haus for anyone looking for a laid back and fun space to hold their event.
The Bat Haus is a raw industrial space nestled in Bushwich! Natalie (space coordinator) is a dream to work with and makes you feel at ease through the entire process! I would highl...
y recommend The Bat Haus to any and all on a budget and want a great wedding! There is also an outdoor space.

ghout our planning process. She let us come visit the space whenever we needed to, answered all our questions, and helped us figure out the best way to arrange the room from ceremony to dinner to dancing for just over 100 guests. She let us use the upstairs area to get ready and the backyard for family photos. We didn't have to rent furniture as the space already had plenty of tables and chairs, as well as water pitchers and candle holders, which saved us a lot of money. We could not be happier with how everything turned out!
Bathaus were the best! We rented their space for our post-wedding dance party in September 2012, and we couldn't have hoped for a more welcoming, friendly, and relaxed experience. ...
Natalie & Cody were great listeners and responsible hosts; we were always on the same page. They were flexible and allowed us to decorate the space earlier in the afternoon, so my husband could get it all set up before heading to the ceremony. Easy for people to get to from Manhattan - simply half a block from the subway exit. Even the old folks came and enjoyed being in a Brooklyn vibe. Highly recommended - price was right, and looking forward to working with them again.
My fiance and I were searching for a venue for our wedding "reception." But we weren't really thinking of it as a reception, more of a party, bash, celebration. I came across Bat...
Haus online, and was excited because it is a block away from my apartment. We were, honestly, a little unsure when we saw the space, because although it has a great vibe and energy for a party, we were not sure if it was a little too raw for our celebration. But then we met Natalie, and we were hooked. Natalie was so incredibly helpful, professional, reasonable, friendly and easy going that we simply felt Bat Haus had to be the place. She helped us every step of the way. She was always happy to let us stop by when we needed to take measurements, show the lighting people what it looked like, let the caterers see it, the band, etc. When I got stressed out, Natalie always made me feel like everything was gong to work out. And it did! We had a wonderful, memorable party! The space transformed beautifully, and with the garden and open front doors, it felt breezy and not cramped, even though we had about 130 people! I can't recommend Bat Haus enough! It was a perfect venue for us because Natalie gave us the freedom to follow our vision and the support we needed to make it happen! Thank you Natalie and Bat Haus!!!
