Absolutely AMAZING! We couldn’t recommend them enough!
We had this catering company for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding, and they were absolutely incredible from start t...
o finish! We had to find a new location for our rehearsal dinner at the last minute, and they came through for us in every way possible. Their communication was excellent, they were always on top of everything, and they made the entire process so much less stressful. Their food was also extremely reasonably priced and tasted AMAZING! We had so many guests come up to us throughout the night and tell us how delicious everything was.
But what truly sets this company apart is how much they genuinely care and how far they are willing to go above and beyond. During our wedding ceremony, our wedding planner got caught up trying to resolve an issue, and the catering team noticed that the candles on our reception tables hadn’t been lit yet. Without being asked, they took it upon themselves to go around and light every single candle so everything would be ready and beautiful before our guests came in. Lighting candles might seem like a small thing, but it meant SO much to us. That wasn’t even something they needed to worry about, yet they noticed something needed to be done, took initiative, and handled it without anyone having to ask. That is the kind of service that truly makes a difference on such an important day.
We would choose them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to absolutely anyone planning a wedding or event. They helped make our special day that much better, and we can’t thank them enough!
We had such a wonderful wedding welcome dinner on the covered patio area at Basnight’s. The staff were amazingly kind, and the food was DELISH. The views of the sound are also a go...

Great food & service! Highly recommend!
We booked Basnight's for our destination wedding in OBX. They came to our beach house that we had for the week, and they did not disappoint! The food was wonderful (especially the ...
Filet Bruschetta!) Their staff was very friendly and professional. They cleaned up everything before they left, boxed up the leftovers and even made us a groom and bride box for us to have specifically.
Emmanual was a joy to chat with on the phone as well and answered any questions we had. He set up a phone call a few weeks beforehand to hammer out the details and no stone went unturned.
We will gladly recommend their services to anyone having a destination wedding in OBX!

nsive through email with every question I had, and when it came to the day of, my guests were getting up for 2nds and 3rds at the buffet. We were so happy to get leftovers because we didn't get a taste of everything at the wedding, but we ate it for the whole rest of the week lol thank you Basnights for providing us with such great service!
We used Basnight's Lone Cedar Cafe to cater our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier! We found Immanuel easy to work with, all the staff were professional, and they were flex...
ible with dietary restrictions. The food was DELICIOUS! Our guests raved about all the food, but particularly the italian rice balls appetizer. Best yet, we thought they were incredibly reasonably priced, particularly when it came to the china and silverware you could rent. Everything was set up and broken down in a timely, neat manner. We highly recommend them for catering your wedding!
I had a great experience with Basnight's. Emmanuel helped us every step of the way. The tasting was easy to schedule they let us try everything we picked out plus a few extras. The...
food was sooo good. 100% recommend the carrots, roasted potatoes, and catch of the day. Our guests raved about all 3. The chicken and waffles app was also delicious! About a month out from the big day they also go over a huge checklist with you to make you have EVERYTHING and I mean everything. This was honestly so helpful cause it made me realize I was missing a few linens. We also hired them as our bartenders for the nigh of and they were lovely. Basnight's are true professionals and will handle everything.

We got married on 9/23/2022 and lone cedar catered. They did an amazing job and everything they served was so tasty! They arrived on time and answered every single question we had ...
for them leading up to the wedding. The staff was very kind, professional and attentive. The dessert and buffet display looked great! We also hired two of their bartenders who were terrific! They were fun but professional. The staff also did a great job clearing the tables and keeping things neat and clean throughout the night. At the end of the night they wrapped up all the left overs for us and put everything away. Thank you so much!
Honestly we did not go into this wedding expecting amazing food, we were more focused on the party. However, Victoria and her team created the perfect experience and EVERYONE raved...
about the food! They were organized, helpful, and the food was SO good. We loved our experience tasting the menu ahead of time and were so happy with the resulting menu. We also hired a bartending team through Lone Cedar and she was AWESOME - a huge hit at the party! Highly recommend!!
We found Basnights through the Knot while searching for caterers for our 2021 Outer Banks wedding. Throughout the process of planning our wedding, Maggie and Victoria were tremendo...
us to work with. Despite this being a destination wedding for us, a planned trip to the Outer Banks in 2020 allowed us to do a tasting at their beautiful restaurant. Everything we tasted was magnificent and doing the tasting was truly helpful in finalizing the menu for our big day. For our cocktail hour we decided on the following Hors d’oeuvres: Shrimp and Grits cups, Chicken and Waffles, and Bacon and Eggs (Deviled eggs with a candied bacon jam). We were going for a Southern theme with the cocktail hour menu and all of these choices ended up being true crowd pleasers. For the event we went with a more traditional wedding menu: herb roasted chicken, steak tips, pasta primavera, roasted red potatoes, green beans and rice pilaf. Overall, we and all our guests were very satisfied with the menu and we were happy to be eating leftovers all week! The staff in attendance for the event was also truly wonderful. We also used Basnights for our bartenders and they did a magnificent job of keeping the drinks flowing all night! The catering staff was very attentive and did a wonderful job of keeping the reception area very clean for us. We’d highly recommend Basnights for anyone planning an Outer Banks wedding and we definitely plan on stopping in to The Lone Cedar Cafe on future OBX trips!
Our catering experience with Basnight’s Lone Cedar Cafe was phenomenal! We rented a house on the beach in Corolla and had a beach wedding on a cold, windy day. After the ceremony,...
an employee walked down to the beach with a plate of warm appetizers for the wedding party while they waited on pictures. Dinner was delicious and our guests were impressed. The service was so polite and professional and it was great for our budget. We now visit the restaurant every anniversary. We could not recommend a better company for catering!
Punctual, professional, and great food. We had them deliver to our beach house rental where we had the reception, and they did a great job of setting up and getting everything read...
y for us. The food was great! (Personal favorite, southern bbq fried chicken).
From the day we met at the OBX wedding expo, Maggie and the Lone Cedar catering team were nothing short of amazing. Throughout the entire planning process, Maggie answered all of ...
our questions promptly, was super patient with us during our menu selection process (have you LOOKED at the amount of options they have to customize your big day?!), and was extremely kind and accommodating when we had to make some last minute adjustments to meals. And our families, even weeks after the wedding, are trying to figure out how they can replicate the Parmesan encrusted chicken with cream sauce!!
Thank you so very much for being a part of our special day! Even though the main restaurant is further south from where we normally stay in OBX, we definitely plan on going out of our way to eat the amazing food again (perhaps the chicken AND Asian fried shrimp?!) and bring us right back to all the good memories!
Hope to see you soon!
Love,

l hour and pulled pork, steak tips, potatoes and green beans with corn bread and rolls buffet style for the main dinner. The food was delicious and the entire serving team highly efficient. I worked directly with Victoria and Maggie, both of whom were very responsive and helpful in making decisions to narrow down our menu choices. I’d highly recommend the Lone Cedar team for any of your catering needs!

First i will say that in my opinion there is no better place for fresh local food than Basnight's and I visit every trip I take to OBX. They were the obvious choice for catering...
my reception, but i never thought i could make it work with my budget. Their catering manager fielded probably a dozen email throughout the past year from me as I tried to figure out what I could afford, how I could make a small afternoon hors d'oeuvre reception work and fit in my budget. Each time, I was answered promptly, professionally and cordially, even though I felt like a pest they never made me feel like one. Finally, once I got a grasp on what it was I wanted, they gave me options, and we did take out trays. I was fully prepared to have to transfer those items to nicer service pieces at the reception hall and even had family on stand by to help with that. The food was so scrumptious and so beautifully arranged there was absolutely no need!! We supplemented our selections with a few family favorites and made our own cupcakes. I whole heartedly recommend Basnight's whether you can (ideally) have them do a total catering package, or even if you have then prepare a few key pieces, they will treat you very well and will absolutely please the palette!!

rray of options to meet many different tastes and budgets. They were absolutely wonderful to communicate and work with and the food was beyond delicious! Food was the second most expensive part of our wedding so we really felt like there was a lot riding on it- they did not disappoint! Our guests raved about the food all night and have continued to talk about it in the weeks following our wedding. I even had a family member email me a month later seeing if I could get a recipe for one of the appetizers. It was a great comfort knowing it was money well spent! We also ended up doing cupcakes from Lone Cedar which we weren't able to taste test in advance which was nerve-wracking but they were also delicious and beautiful. I highly recommend Basnight's Lone Cedar Cafe. They are wonderful communicators, kind people, and make delicious food.
Victoria and her staff are amazing and the food was incredible!
