Barbara was wonderful to work with! So easygoing and personable, and she was so happy to walk up the trail for our elopement! Her ceremony was lovely and short and sweet, exactly w...
hat we wanted. Also really responsive, always kept in touch and I never felt out of the loop or left hanging.
Barbara was amazing! We really liked her from the first meeting and what she shared and showed us. She was great about coming up with ceremony ideas, listening to our ideas and com...
bining them.
She had a great pace once the ceremony started. There were this group of sirens that went by so we couldn't hear her, but she paused and made it seem like part of the ceremony. She was so sweet and so nice.
We hired Barbara after we saw her officiate my husband’s brothers wedding. We liked having the connection and we are so happy we chose her!
She really did an amazing job, not only...
day of, but throughout the entire ceremony planning process. She is so communicative, receptive to our ideas and input and instilled a calming effect throughout the whole marriage process.
She provided a lot of ceremony ideas for us to work from. We appreciated the little details she did as well. She created a book of our ceremony which she used day of, then we got to keep it as our memento!
Personally, one of the best parts of the day for me was our ceremony. I was able to really slow down time, absorb the moment, and a lot of that was due to her. Our guests raved about her as well. They thought she was very well spoken, which allowed them to hear every word. You could also feel the compassion in her voice. She used to be a wedding planner and you can definitely tell by her expertise.
It was the best day of my lives and she was a huge part of the reason why. I highly recommend her to any Bride!!
I highly recommend Barbara as a wedding officiant! She walked us thru the process of creating a non-denominational wedding ceremony tailored to us as a couple and made the process ...
easy with lots of examples to chose from. Barbara was friendly, enthusiastic, always responsive to emails and reasonably priced. The last month before the wedding was a crazy time for me (returning home from our pre-wedding European honeymoon, getting laid off from a job and going thru the hiring process at a new job) and Barbara was patient when I was late making decisions about the ceremony. On the day of the wedding, Barbara was calm, professional and led a beautiful ceremony for us. I couldn't be happier that I hired her!
I could go on and on explaining why we feel that Barbara is the best. She made our ceremony exactly what we wanted. She met with us and got to know us and then put together a scrip...
t for us to review. There was a lot of communicating, which I liked! She was on top of everything and even sent me a reminder when it was time to apply for my marriage license.
Barbara was wonderful! She was so perfect for what we needed. She had a very open communication policy and was in constant contact to make sure we got exactly what we wanted oute...
d of an officiant. She gave us several options and choices and suggestions for how we want to handle the ceremony and what wordings we wanted throughout the entire thing.
She was also sort of like a coordinator, helping to iron out the details regarding how we enter and leave the ceremony, who walks with who, the timing, etc. Barbara also includes a keepsake to give the wedded couple that is a nicely printed copy of all of the words during the ceremony including the vows. She handles the license and makes you copies for everything.
Did I mention that she was fantastic? Highly recommended.
Barbara was the perfect choice for us! She really enjoys her work and it shows. She has a lot of ceremony material which allows couples to customize and write as much or as little ...
of their ceremony as they want without searching and wondering how. I was looking for a more 'spiritual' (vs. religious) feel with a touch of tradition and that is exactly what she provided. She has a relaxing and re-assuring voice and manner and is a pleasure to be around. She is good at listening and really getting to know the couple. She also did a wonderful job organizing the rehearsal and explaining how it all works. I would chose her again in a heartbeat.
Barbara is awesome! She did such and amazing job. Everyone loved our ceremony! Barbara makes things so easy and stress free, great at communicating though email. I preferred to go ...
over stuff over the phone, she makes time to talk to her bides. We felt very comfortable with her and she is very reliable.
Barbara Boyd was an absolutely delightful wedding officiant. From the first moment I talked to her on the phone, I knew it would be a comfortable match. Her calm approach and inter...
est in getting to know us as a couple really set her up for success on our big day. My groom and I met her at a coffee shop with my parents to get to know her and answer some questions about us and our relationship. It was a great experience which brought a sense of ease to us both.
Once we were under contract, she worked with us over email to start developing our ceremony by delivering wording samples and ideas.
On the actual day of our wedding, the did the most wonderful job anyone could wish for. She was all smiles and deliverd our ceremony as though she knew us for many years. It was touching and several of our guests commented about how great she was!
I highly recommend Barbara Boyd for officiant services.
