I knew Parris was “the one” from the very first phone call! I had a whole list of concerns and felt like she addressed them all before I could even be stressed about them! I love h...
ow professional and organized she was, but it still felt like you were planning with your best friend! I went with her full service package and I am so glad I did because I didn’t have to think of or worry about a thing! Parris paid attention to EVERY detail, and not only listened to my vision but brought it to life in a way that completely exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for someone who can manage your budget, your vision, your vendors, your day, and even your emotions (ha!) Parris is ABSOLUTELY the planner for you! Thank you, thank you, thank you to you and your team for making the planning process and my wedding day completely stress free and absolutely perfect!!!
We used Balazs Events to plan our May 2026 wedding and cannot recommend them enough. When my fiancee and I were touring venues in Columbia, we kept hearing "Parris is great," "Parr...
is takes care of everything," "We love all planners but man... Parris is the best," so I knew we needed to check her out and she did not disappoint.
All I had to do throughout the planning process was tell her what I wanted, then my work was done. I never had to deal directly with vendors or worry about how the sausage got made.
It was important to me that my mom enjoy our wedding day and celebration, and not be worrying or handling any logistics, and the Balazs team delivered on that. She said she had the VIP treatment on my wedding day even moreso than on her own, thanks to Parris' team. I've heard her tell several of her friends since then that they need to get a good planner for their daughters' weddings no matter the cost because it is worth it! And if you're in South Carolina there is no better choice than Balazs Events!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Parris and the entire team at Balazs Events! Our wedding was originally scheduled for June 2025, but less than a month before our weddin...
g, we had to postpone due to my husband’s unexpected military deployment at that time. What could have been an incredibly stressful and overwhelming situation was made so much easier because of Parris and her team.
From helping communicate with our vendors and coordinate a new wedding date to navigating contracts, details, and all of the unexpected changes, they went above and beyond to make sure we never felt like we were handling everything alone. They were incredibly reassuring, responsive, organized, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process.
When our updated wedding day finally arrived in June 2026, the Balazs Events team made it possible for us to simply be present and enjoy every moment. They handled the timeline, vendors, setup, guests, and all of the little details behind the scenes so seamlessly that we could truly stay in our own little bubble and enjoy our wedding without being bothered by the things that inevitably come up.
And they truly proved that they will do whatever it takes to make your day perfect. We had a last-minute disaster with the original bridal bouquet, and Parris worked directly with our main floral vendor to make sure I ended up with the most beautiful bouquet. We also had missing rental equipment that they immediately addressed and took care of without allowing it to become our problem. Those are the kinds of things we will never forget—not because they happened, but because we never had to worry about them. They handled it.
That is what makes Balazs Events so special. They don't just coordinate your wedding; they take care of you. They treat you like family, genuinely care about your experience, and somehow make even the biggest problems feel completely manageable. Knowing that Parris and her team had everything under control allowed us to be completely present, happy, and unbothered on one of the most important days of our lives.
We couldn't be happier with our experience and would wholeheartedly recommend Balazs Events to anyone planning a wedding or special event. If you want a team that is organized, professional, incredibly attentive, calming, and truly invested in making your event everything you dreamed it would be, look no further. We would absolutely use Parris and her team again for any future event without hesitation!
Thank you, Parris and the entire Balazs Events team, for taking such incredible care of us and helping turn a difficult postponement into a wedding day we will cherish forever. ❤️
I truly can't say enough amazing things about Parris! From the very beginning, her communication was outstanding- she kept us informed, organized, and completely at ease throughout...
the entire process. Her attention to detail and dedication are what sets her apart from other planners and she truly goes above and beyond for her couples.
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and Parris was a huge part in making it happen. Her timelines are top tier and ensured our day ran smooth and on time, we even had guests, family and bridal party tell us how impressed they were with how seamless everything was!
She truly brought the vision I had in my head to life. I can be very particular, and she exceeded every expectation making my dream wedding a reality. It was so easy to put our full trust in her, and knowing everything was in the best hands made everything that much more enjoyable and stress-free.
Parris is professional, organized, and truly cares about her couples. Hiring her was hands down one of the best decisions we made.

nd turned it into the most beautiful, peaceful wedding day I could have ever dreamed of. She even negotiated contracts so everything felt elegant while staying within our budget. One of the biggest blessings was how she helped me navigate keeping both of my divorced parents equally involved — something that felt overwhelming until she handled it with such grace and care. On the wedding day, everything ran so smoothly that I was able to fully enjoy every moment. My wedding was absolutely perfect, and I owe that all to Paris. It truly was my perfect princess wedding. I am forever grateful and would recommend her to anyone planning their big day or any event you want planned to perfection.

s made the entire experience organized, joyful, and truly fun. She understood our vision perfectly and somehow made every single detail come to life even better than we imagined. Her attention to detail is unmatched from the timeline to the tiny touches that made everything feel personal and intentional. When the big day arrived, Parris and her team were absolute rockstars. They handled every little thing seamlessly behind the scenes so that we could be completely present and actually enjoy the day. Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives, and I know that’s in huge part thanks to Parris and the Eventfully Chic team.
A Fairy Godmother for Type A Brides
Where to even begin with Balazs Events...I could not imagine my wedding day without the magic that is Parris!
From our first conversation, I ...
knew Parris was the planner for us. My husband and I reached out to several premier planners in South Carolina, but Parris stood out immediately for her lightning fast replies, genuine curiosity and interest in our vision, and her warm, friendly demeanor.
Parris is a pro. Her contact list of vendors has been curated to the very best and we enjoyed listening to everyone from the florist to the caterer to the live painter all gush about how she's their favorite planner to work with. It's easy to see why.
She comes to every meeting prepared with questions, a list of what she's finished since our last conversation, charts, diagrams, everything. As a Type A woman in business myself, it brought me so much joy to see her lay out a printed floor plan of the venue, detailed down to the outlets in the walls, at every meeting and watch it grow in detail as time went on. She kept us on schedule, on budget, and most importantly, STRESS FREE!
Leading up to the wedding, Parris was diligent with ensuring we hit every crucial milestone and secured our vendors early. She worked in plenty of vendor discounts along the way, and made sure to incorporate every element from the big ticket items we knew we wanted from day 1 (looking at you, light up dance floor) to the last minute details we just couldn't get off our minds.
My favorite thing about planning my wedding with Parris is that she let me take the reins on whatever was important to me and made everything else just...happen. So effortlessly it was like magic. I felt her constant commitment to making sure the day had my signature on it, even down to a few last minute changes I requested that she somehow brought to life.
My wedding day was genuinely the happiest day of my life. Parris planned every last detail. The sheer level of detail in her complete day-of schedule is seriously reason enough to book her. If there were any issues with vendors, guests, etc., I have still not heard about them over a month later. I was completely stress free and was able to be fully present in the bliss that comes from marriage to your best friend.
If you are planning a large wedding, call Parris. If you are planning a small, intimate wedding, call Parris. If you aren't sure where to start, call Parris. If you already know what you want, call Parris. She is the premier planner in Columbia, SC for a reason. She is a true professional and my only regret is that I will not get the chance to plan another wedding with her!
Parris was truly the answer to our prayers. We found her just a few months before our wedding after a stressful experience with a previous planner, and she immediately eased every ...
ounce of anxiety we had. She was communicative, respectful, organized, and wholeheartedly supportive of our vision—especially the complexities of blending two cultures. She embraced our needs with such grace and efficiency, and any small hiccup with vendors was resolved before I even had time to worry.
One thing that stood out from the beginning was how vendors reacted when I mentioned I was working with Parris—every single one of them lit up and shared how much they love working with her. That alone speaks volumes.
I’ve read so many times to “prepare for something to go wrong on your wedding day,” but that was not our experience at all. I woke up the next morning with overwhelming gratitude for how truly perfect everything felt. Our wedding was everything I could’ve dreamed of and even more.
Her dedication to us made the entire process feel effortless. She prioritized our peace and presence, reminding us that our only job was to enjoy creating memories while she handled everything behind the scenes.
I also have to recognize her associate coordinator, Jennifer, who was by my side throughout the wedding day. Her calming presence, joyful energy, and genuine care made me feel like I’d known her for years. She has a true gift for grounding you in the moment, especially during those emotional minutes before walking down the aisle.
If you want a team that will bring your vision to life, honor your wishes, and exceed anything you imagined, Parris and Jennifer are exceptional. They do their work with passion, kindness, and unmatched professionalism. We are endlessly grateful for an unforgettable experience and a flawless wedding day.

When the weather threw us a curveball with unexpected wind and last-second changes, Parris rolled with the punches and worked hard to make everything happen seamlessly. We couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator!
Parris and her team was absolutely amazing! She made our dream wedding a reality, I am so happy she was available for our special day. Thank You Parris!!

elf twice. Parris matched me step for step, reading the room, reading me, and bringing my vision to life in a way I didn’t think was possible.
What really stood out was how seamlessly she handled everything behind the scenes while still keeping me at the center of the process. I never felt like I was being pushed into a template or someone else’s idea of a wedding—Parris made sure it was our day, our way.
If you’re looking for someone who can keep up with your energy, your vision, and your occasional last-minute Pinterest obsession, Parris is that person. I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else.

h her full service planning and it is beyond worth it. It's hard to say I ever felt stressed while planning the wedding, and the entire wedding day could not have gone more perfectly/smoothly/stress-free. While she strives to place you with the best vendors, she keeps budget and personal preferences in mind. Parris is fun, thoughtful, full of knowledge, and easily one of the best at what she does. I can't say enough how thankful we are to have had her as our planner and I recommend to everyone to book her asap!

ade my wedding day stress FREE. I feel like Parris did an amazing job. We purchased her full planning package which included design and I can honestly say Parris made what was on both my Pinterest board and my mind come alive and I loved all of it. She also was supportive throughout the process and was really a person I could go to with any questions or concerns. She really made sure I felt comfortable and was getting 100% what I wanted on my special day. I would 100% Parris to anyone ! She is an amazing planner and an amazing human . Hire Parris and you literally have nothing to worry about

ncing a full-time job with wedding planning—and still trying to actually enjoy the process—became overwhelming. That’s when I found Parris and her Day-of Coordinator package, and let me tell you, it was the best decision I could’ve made.
From the start, Parris fit perfectly into what I needed: someone to step in without taking over, allowing me to stay involved while she handled the execution. Decision fatigue is real when planning a wedding, and by the time the big day arrived, Parris and her team became my decision-makers, problem-solvers, and biggest supporters.
Parris intuitively understood my vision and preferences, often without me having to explain them, and ensured everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. Every hiccup—like when I got lipstick on my dress before the first look—was met with calm, efficient solutions. She brought a sense of peace and organization that allowed me to truly focus on the day and enjoy the moment.
If you’re debating whether to hire a day-of coordinator, do it. It’s an investment in your peace of mind and time with loved ones. Trust me—you don’t want to be the one in your wedding dress telling vendors where to set up or organizing the bridal party. With Parris, I got to relax and soak in every second of our wedding day. I wouldn’t change a thing.

ung up, but instead she said yes, and I am forever grateful that she did! She was so professional, so detailed, easily reachable, and honest throughout the entire process. With her help, our wedding far exceeded our expectations and was truly the most beautiful day of mine and my husband’s lives. Parris is well worth every penny- she will save you SO much stress and make your day to be everything you’ve wanted and more!

d no idea where to start once I got engaged and Parris helped me every step of the way! From budgeting, to decorations and catering, and all the little things in between. Parris and her team made my dream wedding day fully come to life and it could not have been a more perfect day. I’m sad my wedding day is over and I don’t get the opportunity to work with her anymore. So brides, if you’re looking for a planner- HERE SHE IS!!
Can I give 10 stars? Parris was an amaaaaaaazing month of coordinator!! My husband and I had a great vendor team, but there were only a few who were absolute must-haves. Parris is ...
one of them and someone I recommend to anyone getting married around Columbia. Parris did a great job in talking us through the whole process, setting up rentals and hotel blocks, recommending other stellar wedding vendors, creating a detailed timeline, communicating with everyone involved, and helping us find ways to save money for our day. Overall, our wedding day was beautiful and mostly smooth sailing thanks to her and her assistant. When a few hiccups arose, Parris swooped in to fix it or find someone else who could.

In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she was great and helped us to craft the perfect timeline for the wedding day and made sure all the details were accounted for.
Our wedding day went perfectly! She kept the ceremony running smoothly and was right there if we needed anything from organizing the procesional to helping put on my dress. She and her assistants took care of every detail at the reception. I did not have to worry about a thing. Everything I needed was anticipated and any request we had was immediately taken care of.

d we needed more help. Parris was more than happy to upgrade our package to her full serivces and effortlessly took on vendor coordination, decoration rental and more. It was such a seamless transition and I did not have any wedding stress, which allowed me to focus on pregnancy and having a newborn. I handed full control to Parris without a second thought. I live out of town, and with having a newborn we did not get to see a lot of things in person. It might scare some brides, but I showed up on my wedding day without having seen my bouquets, the decorations or the reception set up- and I was not worried in the slightest. Parris was able to execute our vision flawlessly and it was more than we could have ever hoped for. I would absolutely recommend Parris for any event. She is so warm and personable, and is definitely in the right business. Parris, we cannot thank you enough for being part of our day.

We knew planning a wedding in Columbia from out of state would be a challenging task, but she made it all very seamless for us with useful feedback along the way. When it came to the day of our wedding, she effectively coordinated all of our vendors and everything went off without a hitch. We provided many of our own decorations that we brought to the venue with us, and were very impressed with the way she and her team put everything together so beautifully. If you’re looking for a wedding planner who will make your wedding day less stressful, Parris is a great choice. We were truly able to enjoy our entire day without having to worry about much. We have gotten so many compliments about our wedding and couldn’t be more thankful to Parris and her team for a job well done!

On the day of our wedding I did not have to lift a finger because she was took care of everything! All of the logistics and timelines, and coordinating with the vendors. I would recommend Parris to anyone planning any big event! We are so grateful!

new exactly what to expect the next day and was there to answer any and all questions that we had. Even more, Parris' developed a five page timeline that she shared with all vendors as well as the bridal party which I think speaks in and of itself to her attention to detail and planning capabilities. Parris' day of skills are unmatched - she made sure everything ran extremely smoothly (our guests said they have never been to a wedding that didn't have any hiccups - we owe it to Parris!) and was always there in case we needed anything at all. She even went above and beyond before her arrival on-site to check-in and see if I needed anything and brought along recycling signs for the bridal suites (which was a very thoughtful gesture since that is one of my passions which she helped us work with the venue to accommodate). At the end of the night Parris and her assistant, Jennifer (who was also fabulous), had everything packed and ready to go so that we could have a seamless sendoff and so that our designate end of night helpers (thanks moms!) could simply drive away. For a wedding planner and coordinator - you are going to want someone who is a perfectionist, listens to and advocates for your vision, and perfectly executes that vision on the day. Parris is your girl for all of the above! Parris is professional, extremely kind, has a very calming presence (which you will be extremely thankful for day of) and will always be in your corner through the planning process - we can't thank and recommend her enough for her wonderful services and helping make our wedding dreams and visions a reality.

t. Paris saved the day. She found vendors, created a plan, and executed the whole thing. Her attention to detail, connections and the industry, and organizational skills made our wedding beautiful. On the wedding day, I felt well cared for. She brought me coffee, feminine products, ect to make sure I had no worries. She helped smooth over the family drama that popped up the weed of the wedding. We are very thankful for her and the only thing we would have done differently is hiring her sooner. For those not wanting to hire a wedding planner to save money, it is worth every dollar and in the long run, will help you save on your wedding.

en my husband and I were searching for a wedding planner we came across many individuals and agencies with large portfolios but one thing I noticed was that almost every wedding planner’s wedding designs looked the same for all their clients. It seemed as if it was the wedding planner’s wedding and not the bride and groom’s wedding. Parris was different. What made Parris stand out for me was how creative and tailored her weddings were to her clients. And she did not disappoint! She helped us find the right vendors to fit our vision and made that vision come true with her overall design. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and stress-free; everything that I wanted! She’s one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. Parris worked with us throughout her entire pregnancy and was always on point. She kept in touch, kept us on schedule and updated with wedding details, and helped hold us accountable regarding our budget. To future brides: Your wedding planner will be your second set of eyes, ears, and mouth. Do yourself a favor and hire an experienced person with a great personality who will listen to your wants/needs and then work fervently on your behalf. Parris is THAT wedding planner. I would recommend no one other than her. She has become family to us 😊
I am so thankful that I chose Parris to be my wedding coordinator!! I reached out to her and said I was looking for a wedding coordinator. She emailed me back within 5 minutes and ...
we had already planned a time to meet up and also enjoy some wine 🍷 We had originally planned our wedding date for May 2nd of 2020. Unfortunately due to the virus, we were forced to push it back to November 14th. I was an emotional wreck during this time and Parris stepped in to help in any way she could and assured me that she was going to make this work. We decided a week before to do a small ceremony on May 2nd with just our family and Parris dropped everything she was doing to help make sure that everything went smoothly. Not only is Parris a phenomenal planner, but she has also been someone that listens to all your problems that you face while planning a wedding! I turn to her for a lot of advice during this stressful time and I always feel better once I talk to her. If I did one thing correctly during this whole process, it’s reaching out to her in the beginning!

eginning she made me feel so comfortable and balanced, the lack of stress I felt was astonishing. Her etiquette and attention to detail was impeccable. Not only did she relieve most of my stress, she treated me like a true friend which made dealing with the ups and downs so much easier. Our wedding day was entirely flawless and I had never been so relaxed in such a stressful moment. I was able to enjoy my day the way any bride should, and I only hope that other brides are fortunate enough to experience having Parris as their wedding planner. I will recommend Parris and her team over and over.

I didn't miss anything, and provided tips from her personal experience to help me each step along the way (did I mention she did this from across the country?!) While at the wedding she also organized & directed the Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss, Garter Toss, & bridesmaid photos/poses.
She made sure nothing was left out that I would regret not having later when my mind was actually working again lol. 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!
