Baba's Catering By The Mediterranean Cruise Cafe

though it was almost an hour away. Can't recommend Baba's enough!

e also so many gluten and dairy free options, which was a must for our guest list. We were so impressed with Baba's. They are unique and delicious option for your wedding that people will be talking about for weeks afterwards.

ing. My guests all absolutely loved the food. So many compliments. Everything got packed up and taken care of after as well. Unfortunately the leftover pasta was packed with bread which dried it out. I wish I would have used some of my own containers to keep some of the delicious food better. Bar service was really good too, very convenient to have all in one company. We also used them for an the table clothes linens and plates and it seems a very reasonable price for such an inclusive service. I would highly recommend Babas.

set up a tasting at the Burnsville location several months prior to the wedding to ensure we'd be happy with our selection. Baba's took care of all the linens as well which was a huge help. Highly highly recommend Baba's catering!

we got the menu we wanted and accommodated our venue's limitations (tent in a field with no running water!) and our guest's dietary restrictions with ease. The catering team showed up on time and served the food with very little handholding from us. The guests loved the food, so it was good that there was plenty of it to go around. After contacting many potential caterers, the Mediterranean Cruise Cafe stood out for their flexibility, easygoing but effective staff, delicious food, and affordability -- we are so glad that we decided to go with them. Thank you, Crystal and team for helping make our day one to remember!

g process super easy. The tasting was wonderful, Crystal was so good at communicating with us and answering all of our questions, and when the wedding day came, everything went smoothly! Baba's is seriously the best wedding food we've ever had, and if you don't believe us, you can ask to 50+ guests at our wedding who said the same thing!

f the food setup was seamless. The food and mocktails were unbelievably delicious and the food was by far the most complimented thing at the wedding.

rom the very beginning of the process, Crystal was flexible and helpful in building us a package that worked perfectly for our budget and what we wanted to serve. We would definitely recommend Baba's to anyone who was looking for high quality catering at a reasonable price!

al, and incredibly organized, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. They were on time and had excellent communication throughout, ensuring that everything was exactly as we envisioned. Now, let’s talk about the food—INCREDIBLE. Our guests were raving all night (and even after the wedding) that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and well-fed. Even the venue employees had nothing but compliments about both the food and service! One of the best surprises? We got to take home leftovers, and let’s just say, the food was just as good the next couple days, and we were so happy to have a lot of food waste result from our event! To top it all off, Baba’s Catering was affordable without sacrificing quality or service. We have already recommended them to friends and family, and we will continue to do so because they truly made our wedding unforgettable. If you’re looking for a catering company that delivers phenomenal food, exceptional service, and a seamless experience, you will absolutely not be disappointed with Baba’s!

hout the evening and after our wedding, a few of the more common themes: “The staff was so incredibly friendly.” “The bar service was excellent.” “The food was THE BEST we have ever had at a wedding.” My wife and I had a great experience and after hearing so many glowing reviews from our guests it was abundantly clear and reaffirmed us that we had made the right choice to use Baba’s Catering! Crystal was incredible leading up to our wedding and on the day of, she is a gem in the industry! She is professional, charismatic, and honestly a joy to be around. She made us feel like family! Not only her but the entire day of staff was fabulous, they all did a great job and were not afraid to go the extra mile to ensure everything was taken care of throughout the day. If you are undecided or having a hard time making a decision – go with Baba’s Catering, you will not be disappointed and it will be one of the best choices you make while planning your wedding or any event for that matter. Baba’s team, you all rock! Kyle & Eryn

imely manner. The day of the wedding, she reassured me of the layout and how and when things would be set up so I did not need to worry. They even boxed up the leftovers for my husband and I to take home. We did the buffet option so our family and friends had plenty to choose from. All in all it was a great experience!

rd time settling on what options we wanted to include, so Crystal offered a second tasting and it was SO good with a variety of options. We had several guests with dietary preferences from gluten free to vegetarian to vegan to nut allergies and Baba's was not only able to cater to each preference, they made sure to have an extra side available for a couple of guests who may not have been able to find something in the buffet spread. Each of the items in the buffet was clearly labeled with dietary restrictions so guests knew what their options were. One guest said she "ate like a queen" as there were multiple options that fit her needs. When my husband and I arrived at the buffet line, our eyes grew wide as we forgot the options we had chosen and wanted it all! We heard again and again how good the food was throughout the night. If I had the option to book Baba's again, I absolutely would!

tasting. We were very impressed with the service and the food was amazing. We also had dessert catered in through their dessert vendor as they do not do it in house. Dessert was awesome as well and they brought the dessert along with dinner and set everything up and tore everything down. Day of the wedding went smoothly. They were there early to set up and we had plenty of food and dessert for all our guests. They set up all the dishes on the tables very early in the morning. We had so many people rave about the food and dessert saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. I highly recommend anyone considering using Babas catering to use them for their event. We were very impressed with every interaction in preparation for our wedding as well as the day of. Wonderful company and service. Could not be happier with the service we received.

ered all of our questions promptly, and her service at our wedding was exceptional! Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious the food was and the excellent service from Crystal! I would 100% recommend Baba’s catering to anyone looking for a wedding or event caterer! You will not be disappointed!!

as fresh.

e super kind and professional. We also got to take home the leftovers which we had lots of! They were perfect!

stal is amazing and helped us make great choices and is very responsive. The Stir fry gyros, chicken curry, bruschetta, kebabs and baklava were unforgettable. Highly recommend!!

nd incredibly flexible. We got so, so many comments about how good the food was at our wedding - perhaps our top comment about the reception. I would choose them again and again!

and Crystal and her team were so calm and confident going into a venue they had never been to. We are so thankful for Crystal and her team and will be using Mediterranean Cruise Cafe for our future events.

me and everything was very professional. Would definitely use them again!

s so much of it. Many of the wedding guests came up to us and said this has been the best “wedding” food they have had. We wholeheartedly would recommend Baba’s to anyone looking to cater an event. They are full service and also very nice people to work with both on the planning side and the people at the event itself. Thanks Baba’s! Also, Crystal was fantastic to work with😊

o problem. The guests said it was the most delicious food that they have ever had at a wedding. I would choose them again!

ndly and great to work with, which some of our guests shared with us too. Set up and clean up went smoothly, and they were even able to serve dinner a little earlier than we’d originally decided, which was a change we decided on with their staff just an hour before dinner was served. They also served appetizers and late night pizza. We would definitely cater Baba’s again, thank you for helping make our special day amazing!

eir physical location and let us sample all of the possible dishes, all of which were delicious. When we looked at their menu online, there were some specific combinations of menu items, but when we spoke with Crystal she helped us pick the perfect combination for us. They were flexible with the timing of dishes, so some things could be used as appetizers and some as the main course. We chose the buffet style, and Crystal released tables during the ceremony, which went smoothly. All the guests said the food was delicious, and some were able to get seconds after all the tables had been through the buffet. They also provided the bartending service, and when we ran out of wine early day of, they were able to bring more in so the party could keep running smoothly. When some things inevitably went slightly astray, Crystal worked with us to make sure it did not change our positive experience.

e planning process. Our guests loved the food - it's one of the most common things people have told us since the wedding. It's approachable but different, a fun twist from the traditional fare you may get at most weddings. We wanted to do something unique but still a crowd-pleaser that didn't alienate people with food allergies - and Baba's delivered on that. We're excited to go back and visit soon!

it!!

on services for us at the Eagan Community Center (which is gorgeous). They provided all the table cloths, napkins and place settings. Everyone was very professional, kind and pleasant to work with and did such a fantastic job. We were all very impressed! And the food was so amazing! We loved everything, and many, many guests raved how delicious it all was, especially the filet kabobs, gyro meat, grilled vegetables, caesar and greek salads we had on our buffet. Everything we chose was super good. We chose to have an appetizer table set with coconut shrimp and fresh fruit, and we served margarita pizza later that evening. All delicious. The bar offerings were also very good, and we were able to serve our guests quality selections. We continue to hear guests tell us that it was the best wedding food they have ever had, and everything was warm, as it should be. We loved that it wasn't what many weddings typically serve, allowed guest several choices (including gluten sensitive items), and was memorable. Crystal also helped us by cutting and plating the cake, and providing extra plates for us to serve a friend's gourmet chocolates. Crystal was very accommodating on our tasting day, and patient with us while we had to reschedule what was supposed to be a spring 2020 reception. Reflecting back, there is not one thing we would have changed. It was fabulous and we would do it all again. Thank you Crystal and everyone at Baba's!

coordinator, made the experience even better. The staff were professional and quick with the setup and clean up and so accommodating of our laid-back schedule. We even had a couple celiac guests and Crystal went above and beyond to ensure there was no cross contamination. Everyone raved about the food, even the picky eaters. I'd for sure recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious meal and accommodating team of staff.

able to bring in bottles of sparkling grape juice for everyone, since it was our favorite drink. We were able to swap out any sides that were listed for others we preferred when choosing dinner options. They solved a small fire on the day when a cake stand didn't show up and improvised a solution, giving us no extra stress at all. And on top of all of that the food was delicious and they were affordable, which may be the biggest perk of them all. 10/10, would highly recommend.

checked all the boxes. Everyone raved about the food even people who love meat. Staff were professional and efficient during setup, dinner, and clean up. Crystal, the coordinator I was in contact with, was also amazing and very good with responding/setting us up with what we needed/following up. Highly, highly recommend them for another event and their food is so good we’ve driven down to the restaurant multiple times to have more.

nted cuisine that we enjoyed that was also unique, filling, and delicious. Baba's delivered and delivered well - under budget! We were instantly sold during our tasting at Mediterranean Cruise Cafe. Crystal was incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, informative, and generous. Throughout the entire planning process, the staff was incredibly easy to connect with, ask questions, and make customizations. We elected for a buffet dinner with a variety of appetizers for cocktail hour. Baba's provided china and cloth napkins per our selection, but they had other options that we could select. On the day of the event, Baba's was the first vendor to arrive at the venue. They were well equipped, prepared, and prompt throughout the entire morning. We never had any stress or concern that our food would be anything less than perfect. The service was seamless and efficient. Baba's staff facilitated the flow of the buffet and were proactive in refilling the buffet stations. They brought enough food to for each of our 250+ guests and were prompt enough with the service that each guest received hot and fresh food. We even had leftovers that went to each of our parents and us. Last, but certainly not least - the taste. Baba's provides an unparalleled wedding meal. The food was absolutely delicious - our guests were raving about it all night. Even now, 4 months later, we still have friends talking about our wedding food. We also love that we can go visit Mediterranean Cruise Cafe anytime to be reminded of our wedding and purchase their hummus in stores! If you are looking for a vendor that will be professional and timely while "wow-ing" your guests, you should look no further than Baba's Catering! Thank you to the whole Baba's crew for making our day so special!

Our guests LOVED the food. Quantity was spot on, I think I had about 7 more people than I anticipated for food and we still just enough left overs for a couple meals...

selection they were willing to provide. We had to postpone our wedding from 2020, and Crystal was happy to make all of the changes for us. I would definitely recommend Baba’s Catering for your wedding or other event!

a year due to COVID and changed the size; Crystal she was helpful and flexible throughout this whole process. Not to mention the food was AMAZING!! We got multiple compliments from guests about how good it was!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

food and a wide variety to choose from. The day of the wedding the Baba's catering team did an outstanding job setting up all of the table linens, place settings, and buffet. They even brought extra tablecloths for extra tables that we used for our wedding ceremony. The food was incredible! We heard from almost all of our guests that it was a great surprise having such a variety of food. Most weddings have chicken, beef, or pasta. It was definitely unique having gyros. We'd definitely recommend working with Baba's catering.
