Award winning DJ Willis presents Willis J Entertainment

to keep the energy up and people on the dance floor.

even before we visited his website because the word of mouth reviews were so electric. His website outlines his pricing and packages, which took care of all of our needs and more. He is very easy to communicate, very accommodating, and you can tell that he brings so much excitement to every event that he (and his team) does.

We had an outdoor ceremony and he had an entire separate setup for that, making sure that our guests had music to listen as they arrived, and made sure that our entire ceremony was synchronized according to our specific timeline. There were no weird cuts, no bad transitions, and the audio was clear for everyone to hear. For our reception, he championed us with our grand entrance, emceed our speakers, and made sure to keep everyone engaged and motivated. When it came time to dance, oh boy did he keep us on the dance floor. The music choice was incredible, and he definitely knows how to read the room and the crowd. We could tell that he was paying specific attention to how we were responding to songs, and made sure to play banger after banger. At this point, we weren’t surprised to see our wedding coordinator (Shoutout to Hosea House Collective) breaking it down on the dance floor with us.

If you’re looking to bring life and soul to your event, DJ Willis and his team will be its heartbeat.

long! We had about 3.5 hour dance window and he kept everyone going the whole time. I can't recommend him enough!

e that really made our wedding. We gave Willis some guidelines for songs we wanted to hear and he was able to find all the crowd pleaser songs. We loved that he didn’t play the full song—just long enough to have the crowd absolutely thrilled to hear the song, then moved on to another banger. We had so many guests tell us that they didn’t go to the bathroom while the dance floor was open because there was no bad song to skip out on. We didn’t get off the dance floor once and the energy was so high all night. There was one song that we both love but we didn’t tell Willis about it. He ended up playing it during the dinner hour. I don’t know how he does it but he figures out the right vibe and absolutely crushes the set. Willis was great to work with because he gets to know you as a couple before being your DJ. His energy was amazing and he was easy to work with. His ear is absolutely incredible. I want to host another event that requires a DJ just to work with Willis again. Hire him, it’ll be the best decision you make for your wedding!

e shyest of our guests to dance. Our group was a challenge, with varying music tastes and backgrounds, but Eric and Mike were wonderful at bridging the gap between language, culture, and music. We had guests from Mexico, Iceland, and across the U.S.––and nearly everyone was on the dance floor, the music Eric and Mike played their universal language for the evening. I greatly appreciated how thoughtfully Eric and Mike mixed in the songs they played in Spanish with the ones they played in English, newer songs with classics. Their handle on momentum and expert curation had our family and friends dancing all night. The music was never too deafening and the sound was always clear. Eric and Mike gave us the perfect soundtrack to a very special day. Our family is still talking about Willis J. Entertainment, how they wish they could go back in time and dance some more!

ony, to reception dance floor, the sound quality, lighting, song selection, and vibes were immaculate. He kept the dance floor packed all night and was great about reading the room and making sure everyone was having a great time! The planning side was also incredibly easy! He uses a great, easy to use planning website to help outline your requests, and create a timeline of must play songs/events throughout the night. We then met right before the event to go through all the big songs, and he took it from there! We are so grateful to have chosen Willis, and would absolutely recommend him to any other couples looking to have the best party of their lives for their wedding!

ly cared about our day and put a lot of emphasis on our day representing us. He truly curates all of his music choices to the couple's preferences without us having to do hardly any work! We gave Willis some guidelines of the vibes we were looking for and he knocked it out of the park. He had excellent song choices that kept our guests dancing the whole night! We highly recommend working with Willis for your wedding, he truly set the tone for the entire day!

ith. Even on the day of our wedding, he was very understanding and flexible to some last minute changes that we had. All our friends and family has nothing but good things to say about the music. Even our family from Mexico loved him! He kept the party going on the dance floor all night which was very important for us. We recommend Willis for all your DJ needs!

ry intentional about understanding what we were looking for out of the experience and kept the dance floor full the entire evening. We had the absolute best time dancing at our wedding! We would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a DJ for a wedding or special event!

tly, the reception was a hit for us and all our guests! Everyone had a great time and a month later is still telling us how much fun they had, all thanks to Willis! We had a few song requests but left it mostly up to him and he knew exactly what to play and when. We wouldn’t have wanted any other DJ!

pt our feet moving through the night. Anything we needed, whether it was a small or a big change. He was on point and ready for everything. I can't thank CJ and Willis J Entertainment enough for blessing my ceremony. Thank you so much.

He read the room perfectly and intuitively knew what kept our crowd going. We got so many compliments and even were told by MULTIPLE guests that he was one of the best DJs they'd ever heard. DJ Willis and DJ Chance made the process easy, from initial outreach to their online portal to request songs for different parts of the ceremony and reception. When something was unclear, we got swift questions and answers. We truly cannot say enough about DJ Chance and the environment he created for our wedding. 15/10 recommend!!

to the months of planning, to the day of our wedding, Willis went above and beyond. I’ve had SO many compliment his music selection…and also a few complaints of sore feet and legs from all the dancing lol!! We cannot recommend Willis and his team enough. If you’re looking to throw an absolute BANGER of a reception…DJ Willis is your guy. Thank you so much for everything!! April & Brandon Love

ntrance, moshing, video game music, and all other kinds of quirky things for probably the weirdest wedding he's done (LOL!). He's always timely in his responses, professional, and loves Caffe Luna which was a huge plus for us! If you're looking for an awesome DJ, Willis J is definitely for you!! y dad so he could have a walk on song for his speech at the wedding. Willis cared about learning what kind of music we wanted to hear and not just playing generic stuff. I would 100% hire him again and definitely recommend him and his team for your wedding!

fun wedding people will remember, book Chance!

n great hands. He took the time to get know us as a couple and to understand what we wanted out of our DJ experience. From the ceremony music to cocktail hour to the dance floor, the music was executed flawlessly, and he set an incredible vibe. Our guests didn’t want to leave the dance floor because the music was that good. His prices are incredibly reasonable, and he exceeded all of our expectations. Do yourself a big favor and book with Willis!

the vibe exactly right and numerous guests complimented us on how fantastic he was. If you need a DJ for any event, this is who to go with. Willis J Entertainment is reasonably priced and delivers unparalleled quality. I wish I could give them a 6th star. Seriously, DJ Willis and his team are awesome!

ork with, and he made sure we had everything we needed during the planning process. Our wedding reception turned into an amazing dance party, and our guests had nothing but great things to say about the experience. I highly recommend Willis J Entertainment to anyone planning their wedding - five stars all around!

day ever!!!!

th throughout the planning process. And OMG did he help make our wedding reception a BLAST. Truly made the night so much fun, and we reviewed so many comments from our guests about how wonderful he was. Would 100% recommend DJ Willis. He will absolutely elevate your event!

le. I was overwhelmed thinking about all the song choices we would have to make for the wedding, but Willis put us at ease. His online portal is incredibly easy to use, he listened to exactly what we asked for and kept our guests dancing all night long! He was so personable with our guests and helped our ceremony and reception run smoothly. I cannot recommend him enough and I am so glad he was part of our wedding day!

nts from our guests. Highly recommend

were going to talk wedding, but he just wanted to get to know us as people and learn our story. Willis really put our minds at ease that everything was going to be A-okay on our wedding day. And it was! He really helped our day flow perfectly, was great at moving the party along, and ensured that everyone had a great time! Also, bonus points: I had a particular section of a particular song picked for my walk down the aisle, and there's a fanfare section--I'd asked if he could try to time it so that the main fanfare hit right as I got to the altar. Well, he hit it right on target. The timing could not have been more perfect--so much so that my nervous self turned around and gave him a thumbs up at the beginning of the ceremony! :) But really, thank you so much Willis for helping make our day so special!

ed so perfectly together, here's to highlight DJ Willis! "Absolutely LOVED our DJ service. Willis was such a fabulous DJ from the start. We are from Texas and had our wedding in NC, even with the distance, we always felt confident that we were getting the best service. We were unable to meet in person until the wedding but every interaction from email, to phone and video calls was so personal, attentive and over-all felt like we were taken care of. He worked seamlessly with our other vendors to ensure everything in our timeline was covered. I honestly felt like there were no hiccups and the evening flowed perfectly. Also, the dance floor was everything we wanted, all of our favorite songs, some amazing requests and great music to keep the dance floor alive. Never a dull moment! We would 100% recommend to DJ Willis to anyone looking for entertainment services."

Willis J Entertainment. And he did not disappoint! He brought the fun and had all of our guests out of their seats dancing the entire night. He’s not just a great DJ, he’s an amazing emcee and all around great person. If you’re looking for entertainment at your wedding, I highly recommend Willis J Entertainment!

and book them as your DJ!!

asy to use and makes planning the music for both the ceremony and reception fun. Full disclosure, I won his DJ services in a contest and I've never been so lucky to win something in my life! I could not have picked a better DJ and if I ever need another DJ, I will immediately hire him!

for the second half (throwbacks, pop/hip hop, typical wedding songs). Willis met with us beforehand to make sure he understood the assignment and let me tell ya, he understood it. The whole night was seamless. Willis was professional, timely with communications, and super personable. We heard from several of our guests that they thought Willis did an amazing job. 11/10 would recommend Willis to anyone.

, etc.) Once the ceremony was over, he had my husband and I hyped up and dancing all night! Not only was he an amazing DJ and emcee, he is a great person. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

h a great personality and a great talent of reading the room which is super important! One of my biggest fears was that I would end up not having anyone out on the dance floor and he definitely made sure that was not the case. We had the best time dancing the night away and we highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for the best hype man for your big day!

ith confidence that our wedding was the best day of my life, and we credit Willis with bringing the fun and the energy to what instantly became the best night of our lives. Willis made us feel comfortable and totally relaxed, and knowing we could trust him to bring our “vibe” and vision to the celebration allowed us to completely be in the moment. When we had to reschedule our wedding for a full year due to the pandemic, he was encouraging, positive, and accommodating of the change. Leading up to the wedding Willis was flexible and communicative, working with us out-of-staters to set up Zoom and phone calls to ensure all details were ironed out before the big day. The online client planning portal made it super easy to communicate all of our song choices for the big moments and request “must-plays” (and even “do not play” songs). Willis also reassured us that we didn’t have to plan out every single music choice - he took careful note of the kind of music we like and the overall feel of the wedding and the end result was a perfect reception. Prior to the wedding we shared with him that we listen to a lot of late 90s/early 2000s hip-hop, and Willis took our words to heart and created a killer dance party. Willis was fantastic at reading the energy of the crowd and seamlessly mixing in a variety of music that kept the party flowing. Our day-of coordinator told me that more people danced at our reception than at any other wedding she’d seen at our venue - every single person was on the dance floor! Our guests and our vendors raved about Willis, and our friends and family continue to tell me how much of a great time they had. Willis is genuine, positive, and an expert through and through at what he does. He was an absolute pleasure and a joy to work with and our reception could not have been more perfect, thanks to him. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

lar and fun, and kept people engaged and entertained. Plus he is just a fantastic person. Hire him and you'll get the best!

ice to DJ my wedding last weekend. Willis is more than a DJ, he is truly an artist. He reads the crowd, the event space and puts together music that perfectly fits the vibe at any given moment. He is personable & hilarious but also sincere & reverent when called for. He masterfully walks the line of being involved & making the party come to life, while not being overbearing or putting himself in the spotlight. My wedding ceremony & reception would not have been such a seamless, beautiful, incredible party without Willis. Even these words do not do him justice. I truly cannot praise Willis J Entertainment highly enough!

wedding and put some last minute song requests in for walking down the aisle. He text me the morning of the wedding to remind me and gave me all the time I needed to decide. All I wanted for the wedding was for everyone to be on the dance floor. Darnell made sure that that was absolutely the case. We partied the night away and he was great!! Would recommend Willis J and his crowd for any event!!!!

and pass him by! The best!!

ions and the Dj started playing the wrong song for our First Dance. We also never heard several of our "must play" songs. This was the only vendor that was not great at our wedding. We were so disappointed and did not think we would feel like this prior to the wedding after great conversations. They may be okay for small events but they do not have the equipment for large venues, even though we gave floor plans beforehand and they knew the space they would be working in. Everyone said our wedding was great except for the DJ. We were very disappointed at the services we received and would not recommend to anyone!

day was perfect and allowed me to get as specific as I wanted. Then, on wedding day, he executed all of the elements we wanted perfectly. I was worried about having a DJ that talked too much (you know the ones...) but Willis said everything he needed to to keep the party going without trying to take the spotlight. I would hire him again for any event!

amazing day! He kept the party going, played all of our favorite songs, and was an amazing MC. I can't thank him enough for making our wedding so much fun! Everyone raved to us afterwards about how great Willis was, highly recommend!

ke he had it all under control. And he sure did! He made it so easy to plan the music and through the whole process had such a calming effect on me that I just knew he'd take care of us. I looked forward to seeing him on the day of our wedding because I felt like he was such a part of our celebration. And the one thing I heard consistently from all of our guests was "that DJ was the best!". I agree!

nd was great on announcements. He worked amazingly with our coordinator on everything, accommodated all of our requests as well as our guests', and was just all-around amazing. I would highly recommend DJ Chance!

cked in periodically to keep us up to date on his timeline and what he needed from us. He always made sure to see how we were feeling and that we didn't have any questions. We didn't have very much must play songs and mostly let him do his thing. The wedding was awesome. The dance floor was packed the whole night! I don't think we sat... except for toasts. There was a small hiccup with one of the songs, but he covered it so seamlessly that everyone thought it was planned. He lived up to his promise of "Don't worry about it! I got this!" If you want a packed dance floor and a personable, upbeat, happy DJ, Willis is your guy!

is is passionate is a vast understatement. He knows about every genre of music. He knows what songs sound good together, and is very good at reading the room and playing for the moment. Multiple people after our wedding came up to us and told us how awesome he was, and all we could say was "we know." My parents loved Willis, my groomsmen loved Willis, my mother in law loved Willis. He was very good about listening to us and being open to any new songs or ideas we had. Our dance floor was never empty, but the music wasn't so overwhelming that people felt like they couldn't talk to one another. My wife and I truly believe the biggest mistake you can make as far as hiring a DJ for your wedding is not hiring Willis. You will not find a better one in the Triangle!
