I have been working at the Avalon Yacht Club for over 20 years and have been its Wedding & Events coordinator for the last 4 years having worked hundreds of weddings and special events. I will help with every intricate detail from start to finish and will coordinate all necessary planning. Our full management team will be present the entire day of your wedding and will make certain no detail is overlooked!

Also the appetizers were the best apps I have ever had at a wedding. Great variety from lamb lollipops to grilled cheese! The chef can accommodate for requests which was nice. We still have people commenting on how great our wedding was even a month out. The views of the bay are amazing. Could not have asked for a better day! (My only concern was the bartenders used our expensive whiskey we brought in for old fashions instead of on the rocks as we requested but besides that everything was perfect.)

From day one, he was so easy to work with, always thinking of the little details (especially the ones I forgot!), and keeping everything organized without ever making us feel stressed. On the wedding day, Jarrod went above and beyond to take care of both me and my husband — constantly checking in, making sure we had everything we needed, and making the whole day feel smooth and seamless. So many of our guests commented on how delicious the food was — especially the crab cakes, which several people said were the best they’ve ever had. It’s been four months since our ceremony and we are still receiving compliments from friends and family raving about how incredible our wedding was – this isn’t a coincidence. From the moment you walk into the club, Jarrod and team makes your vision their own and works with you to make it a reality. Their attention to detail shines in every interaction; they are true professionals and their experience is what makes them so valuable and differentiates them from other venues on the island. The venue is breathtaking – the cotton candy sunset behind the ceremony that lingers well into cocktail hour is both priceless and unforgettable. Regarding the food, you can read all of the above reviews about it being the star of the show; it’s akin to dining at your favorite high end restaurant; nothing like regular, boring wedding fare. The only problem was narrowing down the menu since the wonderful chef at the tasting experience gives you so many options. They worked with us on our signature drinks and ensured they were available all night. Also, guests were able to order their favorite cocktails without any issues like availability or quality. The bartenders and servers were professional and courteous; all of the vendors were made to feel at home – Jarrod keeps all the wheels in motion so you can focus on what’s important. ous bayfront and sunset views in all of South Jersey. We were able to keep the decor very simple for this reason, because the 180 degrees of water views are all you need. The deck on the water is the absolute best spot for cocktail hour. It also allowed us to make our entrance by boat with everyone watching from ashore (a super fun touch!). We had multiple guests comment that this was the best food they have ever had a wedding, hands down (shout out to Chef Peter!). Jarrod and Brian, the day of coordinators, also need their own shout out. They waited on my husband and me (as well as our families) hand and foot all day long, and made sure the day went without a hitch. Not to mention they are both just super nice and fun guys! I am so happy we chose the AYC for our wedding reception - I don't think any other location would have even come close!

20 , but due to the pandemic, we needed to change course. AYC couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process - whether it was picking a new date, discussing the safety of the event or even altering what we would be serving, AYC was there to help and bounce ideas off of every step of the way. We ended up having an intimate ceremony in September of 2020 at the venue thanks to help of their careful planning and willingness to adjust so many details of the day. On the day of the wedding, Jarrod and Brian were our go-to guys for anything needed - even guests were coming up to tell us how impressed they were with their attentive service and seamlessness of the day! If I could do it all over again, I would pick AYC as our venue every time. You will not be disappointed!

A bouquet was left on a beach, Jarrod went all the way to pick it up. Brian was like a ninja during the entire event, invisible until there was a problem: then there he was, already 2 steps ahead with a solution. Our food was Great! Chef and wait staff really knocked it out of the park with service. They were time efficient(we gave them a very tight schedule) and everything was delicious. We had so many ideas and I’m so grateful to the club for making them all work! If you love Avalon, this is the perfect place to have your wedding. It feels like the town: classic and beachy. And they will take care of you like you are one of the family.

we were lost in the wedding planning process. The venue itself is stunning on the water and set up perfectly for weddings. We were able to get married on the deck with beautiful weather and all of our guests enjoyed the outdoor cocktail hour. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised about how much we were able to eat and drink on our wedding day thanks to the attentive staff. They even set up a plate of appetizers for us to enjoy before hitting cocktail hour, so we didn't have to do the rounds on an empty stomach. The food was exceptional, and they saved my other crab cake in a to-go box so I could enjoy it the next day (it still tasted great). Brian genuinely cared about our happiness and was an extremely gracious host the day of, while Jarrod ensured that the dinner and service worked seamlessly in the background. We had a 10 piece band and 150 guests and the dance floor never felt cramped, the bar was never backed up and we were able to party all night. Our only "complaint" was something that we never communicated, that we wanted our ceremony set-up left out during cocktail hour for guests to take photos with. Everything else was truly that perfect. If you are able to, we also recommend Belmomento Events and Blooms Florist to round out your vendors at the Yacht Club, they have all worked together frequently and executed the event seamlessly.

He made everything run so smoothly that we could just sit back and enjoy the day! Chef Peter and his staff made excellent and delicious food, even for our guests with dietary restrictions. The club's preferred vendor list was also very thorough and, as we were planning the wedding from 6 hours away, we used many of the vendors on their list. Boy are we happy we did! From my Husband: Jarrod, Brian, and Chef Pete were amazing guys that were really in control of the situation and they made me feel at ease and relaxed and able to enjoy my time at my wedding! process. One benefit of working with this team is how familiar they are with many of the local vendors, making much of the coordination leading up to the wedding and the day of wedding seamless. We also brought in vendors from NYC that had never been to the Yacht Club before, and the AYC team easily coordinated with those vendors as well. The food was a highlight of the experience and exceeded our expectations. The crab cakes and short rib entrees were both fantastic, as were the lamb lollipop and lobster roll appetizers. Chef Peter is also friendly, laid back, and willing to work with the bride and groom to create custom options. The day of the wedding, the entire AYC staff was incredibly attentive, organized, and kept things on schedule. Both the outdoor deck (where the ceremony and cocktail hour took place) and the main dining room have beautiful water and sunset views. Another benefit of the the Club's layout is that there is a true bar (rather than a table set up as a bar as is the case at many weddings), so drink service moves quickly and there aren't lines to get a drink. Overall, the bride and groom, families, and guests had a wonderful time!

They made the wedding planning process super easy by guiding us through the process and giving us a list of recommended vendors who were incredible and familiar with the venue. The yacht club was very accommodating and were fun to work with. We enjoyed our menu tasting with Chef Peter and all of our guests raved about the food. from the moment we walked into the door at our reception, Brian made sure that we had everything we needed through the night. Including helping with pictures and keeping everything on schedule. We had a great time working with Jarrod and he went above and beyond to help with any part of our wedding day. He was prompt with communicating and his knowledge and expertise with the wedding industry was evident through the process. The bartenders and serving staff did an awesome job. The venue itself is beautiful! The sunsets are perfect and the location is unbeatable. The venue provided us with a wedding party suite which allowed us to have a private area to keep our stuff and regroup. Our wedding was so much fun and we cannot thank the yacht club team enough for all of their help and assistance to make our day so perfect. Our guests had an amazing time and are raving about what a fun and great wedding we had. We highly recommend this venue!!!

I had numerous compliments on Chef Peter's food, and me being quite into food, he was willing to adapt recipes to suit my preferences. Jarrod is great to work with and made sure that my day went smoothly. The pricing for this venue is surprisingly a lot less than one would think for a "yacht club" wedding, and they take care of everything for you [set up, alcohol, food, working with the DJs, etc.] It's also fun for a semi-destination wedding! I could not recommend the AYC more! :)

rfect-the venue, the food, the staff, just phenomenal. I can not thank everyone at the Yacht Club, especially Jarrod and Brian, enough. They (along with the rest of the staff) were the main reason that everything ran so smoothly. They were both very calm, and at no point did I feel extra stress leading up to and during the night. Jarrod was very easy to work with, helping with all details, including the horrid seating chart. There were some thunderstorms predicted for the day, but they assured me that everything would be completely fine, if needed to be altered they would handle it all. I could go on and on about this amazing venue. I had the time of my life and constantly replay the day in my head. I am forever grateful that I choose Avalon Yacht Club as my wedding venue and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone! They also worked efficiently with our outside vendors to coordinate the day's events in such a way that maximized our time together and with guests, and allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our day. What any couple interested in getting married at the Jersey shore would especially love about the Avalon Yacht Club is how unique this venue is: It provides a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the water, but in a private setting just for the couple and guests. so the Avalon Yacht Club already had that going for it, but WOW. After touring the Avalon Yacht Club my thorough husband insisted on touring 6 other South Jersey Yacht Clubs / Wedding Venues- it was clear, Avalon Yacht Club was perfect and we booked. Unobstructed water and sunset views along with the opportunity to work with Jarrod- it was a dream come true! Jarrod and the AYC team’s attention to detail lead to the best day of our life. AYC vendor recommendations and Jarrod’s “Play Book” made wedding planning fun and easy (can we say Chico’s Vibe!!!!) Brian was on top of everything that day. Our glasses were never empty, and Brian was great at sticking to the timeline, so nothing was missed! Chef Peter made amazing AYC Crab Cakes and Short Ribs for dinner, terrific passed Hors d'oeuvres for our outdoor patio cocktail hour on the bay, and accommodated all dietary restrictions!

ith the full wrap around bar and spacious dance floor. Jarrod is an absolute pro at understanding the logistics and intricacies involved with planning a wedding. He has a "playbook" that we used as the framework for our major decisions that provided a lot of helpful structure - better than anything we would have come across online, as it's tailored for the specific space at the AYC. Brian took home the award for Unsung Hero of the night as he ushered us around to ensure we didn't miss any of the special dances / bouquet tosses / pictures - and always made sure our glasses were full and we were taken care of. He was such a delight to the point that my Dad - who has chaired several large fundraisers and committees - commented that he's never experienced someone with so much execution capability and class/politeness. Brian was beyond a dream. We love him! Chef Peter made the most excellent crab cakes and fillets. The lamb on the bone as well as the shrimp scampi cocktail appetizers blew people's socks off. All of the food was excellent and the bounty of appetizers (7 per person) ensures you do not need to amp up the program with additional displays / appetizer stations. There was almost too much food and we went with the standard package. The bar ensured that no one ever had to wait for a drink. All of the servers were pleasant. The Avalon Yacht Club made our wedding the most seamless, blissful and upscale event - I cannot fully articulate how amazing they were!

Jarrod Sykes, the Assistant General Manager and the Wedding & Events Coordinator was wonderful to work with. He has all of the details under control and has suggestions and does the set up a day in advance of the event. The food was outstanding and Chef Peter hit it out of the Park serving Crab Cakes to Marylanders with great success! The Club General Manager Brian was on site for the whole event and every detail was attended to. I plan events for a living for a major charity - and my credo is "trust the professionals" and the Avalon Yacht Club is staffed with true and caring professionals. The one word that would accurately describe our event is AWESOME!

Anything we needed or wanted, he was right there making sure we had it. Second - the view. The view inside the venue is breathtaking and the sunset is perfect for pictures. The floor plan is also ideal. Because the bar (a real bar inside the venue - as opposed to a make shift bar inside the venue) is right next to the dance floor, it encourages guests to remain dancing and having fun the entire night. No one needs to leave to go to another room for a drink. I would highly recommend this venue to other brides looking for a real shore/bay experience.

believable picturesque sunset, food, and especially Jarrod (event coordinator), Brian (GM) and the staff exceeded every expectation above and beyond for the perfect day! Jarrod helped us every step of the way and was hands on from the first introduction meeting to helping us pack up the day after our wedding! He knows all the vendors, has so much knowledge and experience, is open to “your” vision and ideas…I felt like he was also our wedding planner! We had our ceremony on the side deck (they provide the chairs!) where we were surrounded by the bay without a house in sight. The side deck then turns into cocktail hour and comes to an end just as the sun is beginning to set. My favorite thing is you get an entire wedding guest group picture off the side steps before you head in for the reception which I have never seen before (a lot of guests mentioned this as well). I grew up going to Stone Harbor and Avalon every summer and I have never seen a more gorgeous sunset then the view from their docks! I was shocked with excitement seeing our wedding pictures for the first time! They have an extremely large selection to choose from for appetizers during cocktail hour (which are delicious) and friends and family could not get over how good dinner was- some said best wedding dinner entrée they ever had (we did crab cake and chicken picatta). Jarrod and Brian are hands on the entire day and night for you and your family but you barely even notice they are there! It honestly seemed that any time I needed to do or get something Brian was right there with a smile to take care of it. I am so happy and grateful we chose to have our wedding at the Avalon Yacht Club as we had one of the best days of our lives and I honestly can’t imagine it being anywhere else!

Jarrod was very flexible with what we wanted to do, he knew our vendors well and I didn't need to worry about a thing. When I showed up on the day of the wedding everything was perfect. On the day of, they were always there to make sure we had everything we needed, but weren't in your face about it. When our transportation company didn't show up, Jarrod and Brian were calling cabs and car services for us and our guests and offered to even drive us to the hotel. The venue is beautiful and spacious, it's worth every penny for the sunset photos. The appetizers and the meal (filet and crab cake) were to die for. We are still getting compliments on the venue and the food! I think compared to some other venues in the area, the price is comparable but the setting and service can't be beat!
