Rosa is the wedding planner you want if you care about both the big picture and the tiny details.
My husband and I got married in April 2026 in Dripping Springs, and our wedding w...
as anything but standard - we blended a Baptist ceremony with a Persian Aghd, which meant two distinct traditions, two sets of family expectations, and a sofreh setup that most planners have never touched. Rosa didn't just accommodate it; she understood it. She asked the right questions early, researched what she didn't know, and treated both ceremonies with equal reverence. That alone would have made her worth every penny.
But what really set Rosa apart was her vendor coordination. She managed our florist, caterer, officiants, photographer, DJ, and rentals like a conductor - everyone knew where to be, what to do, and when. The timeline she built was meticulous, and she proactively flagged conflicts I never would have caught (load-in windows, ceremony transition timing, even how long the Aghd would realistically take vs. what we'd budgeted). She negotiated thoughtfully on our behalf and was honest when something wasn't worth the spend.
Day-of, she was unflappable. A few things went sideways behind the scenes - they always do - and I genuinely didn't hear about any of it until weeks later. That's the mark of a great planner: you should feel like a guest at your own wedding, and Rosa made sure we did. My husband and I were fully present for every moment because we trusted her completely.
A few specific things I want to call out:
- She built a custom timeline that accounted for both ceremonies and gave our families clear expectations
- She coordinated directly with our Persian family on Aghd traditions so I didn't have to translate between worlds
- She handled a last-minute vendor issue with zero drama and advocated for refunds and credits when service was anything less than promised
- She kept us on budget without ever making it feel transactional
If you're planning a multicultural wedding, a Hill Country wedding, or honestly any wedding where you want to actually enjoy the day - hire Rosa. She's organized, warm, deeply experienced, and somehow makes the whole process feel less like a project and more like a partnership.
We're so grateful. Thank you, Rosa!
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Austin Wedding Planners. We went with the wedding advisor package. We found them generally unwilling to provide opinions (I would ask questions about ...
something and all I’d get back is "well every vendor does things differently"). They were overly pushy about preferred vendors (for instance, I heard from our venue who were contracted to provide our table settings that Austin Wedding Planners tried to get them to use one of Austin Wedding Planner's preferred vendors without talking to me about it) and they made some expensive oversights with the vendors that they’d recommended.
For instance:
They insisted a florist they suggested would not give us an a la carte (vs. full design) package. They did.
We reached out to a florist AWP recommended with a minimum for full design. When we got that quote back it was clear they were struggling to get to that number and were suggesting more florals than we actually wanted. I saw they also offer a la carte options. I asked Rosa to ask about it. She said no, that that was only for elopements. I was really excited about them so I emailed them directly to ask if it would be an option. They immediately agreed. After I told Austin Wedding Planners the florist would do a la carte for us Rosa called me stressing out. Who would set up and break down the flowers? I said we would figure it out after our call with them. It turns out they were able to do both for a modest fee.
Another instance, Austin Wedding Planners said our tenting company would not allow our venue to set up lighting in the tent. They did.
I asked our venue which had string lights if they’d be able to set up lighting in our tent (our rain back up plan). The venue said yes. Rosa said no—that the tenting company wouldn’t allow it. I followed up with the tenting company (who were not on the call). They said our venue could set up the lights.
These two things would have cost us over $4000 if we hadn’t followed up. Is it possible these vendors gave me different answers than they gave Austin Wedding Planners or they changed their policies recently? Sure. But given the premise of the advisor package is that you have a relationship with these vendors you should be getting me better deals not worse ones than if I negotiated on my own.
Austin Wedding Planners have clearly been doing this for a long time and I think if you needed a day of planner this could still be a good pick for you.

My (now) wife and I were able to relax and enjoy the event, comfortable knowing that Rosa had the details handled!
Rosa also worked with us throughout our planning process: helping us find vendors, making sure we were hitting deadlines, and covering all our bases to get a wedding planned in the middle of a busy wedding season.

etail: helping us find vendors that fit our style, ensuring we met venue and vendor requirements, and helping us stay on track through the chaos of wedding planning. On the wedding day, Rosa kept everything on track, brought our vision to life, and quickly resolved any vendor miscommunication so the day flowed seamlessly.
Our venue had specific “approved” vendors & specific arrival & exit times, and everything went so smoothly! Rosa’s wealth of experience meant she handled all the behind-the-scenes logistics that couples often don’t even know how to anticipate, allowing us to focus on our vision.
She is honest and direct, offering clear guidance so you can make the best decisions with confidence. She was invested in us, and in the day, not in just fulfilling a contract. She has lots of connections, and can help you book the right caterer, florist, etc.
Our wedding exceeded our highest hopes, and we really could not have done it without Rosa! If you are looking for a planner who will guide you through every part of the process with care and expertise, we wholeheartedly recommend Rosa!
We started looking for a wedding planner last year June 2024. Austin Wedding Planners came up, we were looking for someone that is experienced, bilingual and has good reviews. AWP ...
has over 16 years of experience with great reviews and we immediately reached out for a consultation that can help us with our big Mexican wedding. They were very helpful as they advised us step by step during our wedding planning. From the very beginning, they were organized, responsive to all emails and communication related to wedding planning. They had great vendor connections around Austin and helped us stay on track with deadlines and details. They were very helpful with reviewing rentals and connected us with caterer and a florist and other vendors, they had great recommendations. On the day of the wedding, everything came together beautifully as they stayed in communication with the vendors and they worked closely to ensure it all came out as planned.
The team kept everything flowing smoothly. It was such a relief to be able to enjoy the moment knowing someone had it under control. We are thankful that we had an experienced team like AWP. We’d definitely recommend AWP to couples looking for a reliable and thoughtful team who truly wants your day to go well.Thank you AWP for being there for us on our big day. -The Guizars

just bearable but truly enjoyable. Our spring wedding turned out to be everything we'd hoped for and beyond. It was elegant, personal, beautiful and everything went off without a hitch, all thanks to her.
A big plus was Rosa's strong connections in the industry! Every vendor she sent our way was fantastic. They were super professional, kind, and just top-tier all around. You could see how much they enjoyed working with her, and it really showed in how everything went on the big day.
She thought of every little detail. In the weeks before the wedding, she asked all the right questions and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Her careful planning, made it so we could just relax and soak up every moment. It felt like magic. We really felt cared for and celebrated; it was so special.
Her team was just as professional and warm as she is. They made us and our families feel comfortable and supported from beginning to end. Being a queer couple, that kind of respect and inclusivity meant everything to us.
So, if you need a planner who brings heart, vision, hard work, and flawless execution, all while making you feel like the most important people in the room, Rosa Gibson/Austin Wedding Planners is the one. We can't recommend her enough!

She truly personalized her service to our needs, helping make sure we weren’t paying for services we didn’t need but that we had the support we needed. irection no matter your concern. More importantly though, with Rosa you’re not just hiring a wedding planner. You’re hiring a friend, a confidant, and even a family member. There were so many times during wedding planning where I was so stressed I considered canceling the whole thing entirely and just eloping. Rosa was the one who was able to talk me off of that ledge, helped me get my priorities in order, and overcome whatever obstacles I was facing wedding related or otherwise. If you are a transplant planning a wedding and your entire family is out of state: Rosa will be that family for you. Having trouble navigating family politics? Rosa will help put your mind at ease. When we hired Rosa, we didn’t just hire a wedding planner, we hired family. Rosa if you’re reading this: we love you.

nner was so that us and our family were free to enjoy our day without any stress or jobs to do. Austin Wedding Planners coordinated everything for us flawlessly with a very complicated venue. Her team and all of our vendors set up the entire venue in only 2 hours all while navigating around us taking our pictures and as guests were beginning to arrive. Another underrated thing that we had never considered before the beginning of the wedding planning process was the quality of contacts and vendor relationships that Rosa has with the other wedding vendors in Austin. She helped us plan our entire wedding from out of state and was able to help guide us towards vendors that she had a great relationship with that would work best for us. On top of that she was able to help us find budget friendly options, which in the Austin wedding scene is not the easiest thing to do. Rosa is literally the sweetest woman. She works so hard for her couples and is genuinely happy and excited to get to know us and to make our day exactly what we want it to be. She has a ton of experience in the Austin wedding scene and we can’t recommend her highly enough!

help every step of the way. Her vendor recommendations were sublime. Her strong ability to follow-up meant that I didn’t have to worry about getting responses. Her coordination with the vendors on the schedule and the day of, working with the venue on table layout, fan placement, and meal tastings, helping me look for missing bridesmaids and photographers, solving an issue with the cake, lining up family members for the procession, and so much more! - All this meant that I could just enjoy the process of getting married rather than stress the details, which Rosa took care of! Beyond just being amazing at her job, Rosa is such a lovely person to work with. You meet with your wedding planner quite often during tastings, vendor and venue meetings, and of course the day of the wedding, so I think it’s important to enjoy being around them. Rosa is such a sweet and wise presence. It was like having a fairy godmother of weddings helping me fulfill my every wish. Long story short, go with Rosa. You won’t regret it!

If an option for 6 stars was available, we would certainly give it!
As I learned, before - and especially during - your wedding, you need an experienced, decisive, well-connected,...
communicative planner. Rosa is all of those things.
Some highlights of our experience:
-Intimate knowledge of Austin-area venues, caterers, DJs, bakers, florists, and more (stuff I can't remember - why we needed Rosa): all of the recommendations were excellent (DJ Mike, Michelle's Patisserie, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Westbank Flower Market)
-A meeting with my wife's mom before the wedding to walk her through the venue
-An initial consultation at her house where she listened and asked the important questions
-Detailed day-of logistics / choreography run-through before the wedding
-Meetings with multiple caterers
-(Maybe most important) Day of decisiveness meaning we did not have to make decisions, worry, or miss important time with family (for example, we ran out of booze, and she made it quickly reappear)
I highly recommend Austin Wedding Planners and the formula (see recommended vendors above) that Rosa helped us put together. Thank you, Rosa (& Richard)!

y big day, from the venue to the flowers to the music. Rosa listened to my vision and made it a reality. She was always available to answer my questions and offer suggestions – she is great at scheduling calls and checking in with her clients (and was flexible around my busy travel schedule!). She handled everything with professionalism and grace – including a bridesmaid wardrobe mishap (which she fixed on the spot) and emotional guests. She made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable for myself and my husband. We were able to arrive at the reception knowing everything would be set just how we wanted and that Rosa would answer any questions from guests. I received numerous compliments from guests on how kind, organized, and helpful Rosa was on the day of the wedding, including a compliment from my father-in-law on how organic and natural the schedule of events flowed! I can't thank her enough for making my wedding day perfect. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner. She is the best and is more than just a wedding planner – she was a valued guest who made me feel beautiful on such a momentous day.
All I can say is WOW.

tion and coordination were top-notch. Our families and wedding party also loved Rosa. She had every detail on lock, and given she's been doing weddings for over a decade, she's worked with almost every vendor in Austin and has excellent relationships with all of them.
She was a fantastic partner to work with and became like part of our family and also a friend!
Many people at the wedding commented, could y'all just get married every month?
I couldn't recommend them enough!
Rosa Gibson and her team at Austin Wedding Planners were wonderful to work with, and we would hire her every time. We came to Rosa about a year before the wedding date. We had our ...
venues and one or two vendors picked out. We hired Rosa for her consulting services, and her timeline planning and running of the big day. As mother-of-the-bride, I had a lot of anxiety about pulling this all together and keeping within budget, but with Rosa as our guide we accomplished all our goals and had such great support! Rosa is so positive in her attitude, super knowledgeable in the service and field, generous with her time, and really became a sweet friend over the year we spent working with her. Her suggestions and advice were always spot on. The vendors we hired through her counsel were great and within budget. We were very happy with their services. One week before the wedding, we did have a few wrinkles pop up, but Rosa navigated it all with ease due to her calm, positive approach to it all. She was able to advise and encourage us in how to proceed on our end as well, which really made things turn out well. The day of the wedding, I didn’t even worry. After working with Rosa and her team over the year, I knew we were in good hands. I was able to enjoy and be at the party as Rosa handled everything and the timeline ran so smooth. We received many compliments on the wedding and would go to Austin Wedding Planners again! We love them!

happen! From the get go Rosa was incredibly invested in us as a couple and wanted to not only help us plan a wonderful wedding but also make an honest connection so that the planning process was as fun and painless as possible. We got extra help from her on choosing our vendors and details for our caterer and florist; we can’t imagine going through those processes without her. Rosa helped us go into our wedding month and week with the confidence that everything would go smoothly and it did!
On the day, our wedding was coordinated by Richard (her husband and great business partner to her) and Deidre from her team with regular check-ins from Rosa. They all did such a fantastic job. We didn’t have to lift a finger (and even when I instinctually tried to, Deidre very kindly and gently reminded me that I should relax and enjoy it all). Being able to soak in your wedding day without a worry is priceless, and they helped us achieve that.
We simply could not have planned such a beautiful wedding without Rosa. Her husband, Richard, and Deidre from her team did such a wonderful time coordinating our wedding on the day as well. It’s not just us who loved the day, all our family and friends can talk about is how well everything came together and what a blast they had! We cannot recommend Austin Wedding Planners enough. If you book with Rosa, she will ensure that you have a wonderful wedding reflective of who you are and what matters to you! <3

Rosa made sure everything went off without a hitch, took charge of every detail, and made sure we could take everything in while keeping us on schedule. We never felt rushed or stressed, our family and friends were taken care of, and everything was absolutely beautiful. We're so grateful we can look back and reminisce in the joy we felt on such a special day for us.
