Austin Trenholm Photography

ely connect with each of us, and that truly stood out. After seeing the final photos, I was in absolute awe and knew he was the only person I wanted to capture our wedding. In fact, Austin’s amazing portfolio helped us choose our venue. Seeing the beautiful photographs he took at Lion Rock Farm convinced us, we knew that was where we had to get married, and I am so grateful it worked out that way. Austin was one of the first vendors we contacted. The conversation was incredibly natural and pressure-free. Booking him was a no-brainer: I had met him, I could vouch for his work, he knew the venue, and he was already familiar with many of our friends, ensuring everyone would be relaxed in front of the camera. My husband and I chose to hire him for an engagement shoot, and we are so happy we did. It gave us a great opportunity to get comfortable being photographed, and the day was an absolute blast. We received the most beautiful photos, and it was genuinely a great time with Austin. His excellent direction made it feel like we were just hanging out with a friend, a comfort level visible in the photos. Hiring Austin was one of the best decisions we made. It was a huge bonus to have him cover our night before event, where he captured the authentic essence of the group and all the little moments I missed while preoccupied. On the wedding day, which can often be chaotic, Austin brought an immediate sense of calmness and kept us perfectly on schedule. He brought along two additional photographers and a content creator, which allowed him to capture a variety of shots and seamlessly split his time between my husband and me. The different perspectives provided a great variety of photos & video, and he flawlessly executed every specific shot request. He and his team were also extremely complimentary, which honestly made it so much easier to be confident in front of the camera. This was huge, especially when you're not used to being photographed all day. Our group of friends can be a lot, and to be able to command a room and keep everyone focused is an incredibly difficult task, but he and his team did the most amazing job at doing so. Even during our large family portrait shots, he was able to get all of our nieces and nephews to pose and smile, which is no easy task. He was helpful in countless ways throughout the day, going above and beyond, from ensuring my dress was laced properly to securing my veil right before walking down the aisle. He frequently reminded me to take deep breaths, drink water, and eat. His attentiveness and calm presence were key to making me feel present and grounded. We have so many incredible photos to choose from, captured with amazing variety in his work, ranging from digital and film to the unique aerial perspective provided by his drone. A photographer was the most important vendor to me, and Austin captured every single moment perfectly. I often joke that I want to go back and do it all again just to have him take more photos, and I sincerely hope he can capture every future milestone in our lives! If you are considering hiring Austin, DO IT. You will not regret it. He is exceptionally skilled, professional, calming, easy to be around, and just an overall great human being.

et him in person on the wedding weekend, but from the moment we met him, it felt like we had known him forever. Austin didn’t just take photos, he gave us wedding-weekend memories we’ll never forget. He made us feel like celebrities while also caring for us in every little way. As the bride, I’ll always remember how he gently guided me into poses, reminded me to eat and drink water, and hyped me up so I felt beautiful and confident. The photos reflect that comfort and joy—they look like me, truly glowing and having fun because I truly was having the best time with him. Our friends and family adored him as much as we did. He had everyone laughing, creating inside jokes, and feeling completely comfortable. One of my bridesmaids asked if he could follow us and capture our lives forever 24/7 - It’s rare to have vendors, friends and family all call out the specific work of the photographer and people are still telling how much they loved him, and you can see it in the photos. He has a gift for capturing real, personal moments that most photographers would miss. Even during the family portraits, Austin studied our list of photo groupings and made sure we got every single family photo we needed, and in the best light possible. He politely was able to command the room, find the best space for the photos, and make sure everyone was getting their photos with us without us losing our patience, which was so huge. When our gallery arrived, we were completely blown away. We knew he was the best photographer we had seen throughout the industry and had such a unique / cool style, but seeing us as his subjects was the coolest thing ever and beyond our wildest wedding photo dreams. There are details that we mentioned over a year before and were picky about and Austin remembered those editing details and delivered photos that are everything we hoped for and more. When I tell you, there isn’t a single one we don’t love. One of our favorite memories of the entire day was when he pulled us aside during cocktail hour to chase a golden hour moment. Even with cloudy skies, he gently tapped us and asked us if we wanted to seize the opportunity to get our sense moment - he found the light and gave us our favorite photos of all time. Most couples would never want to leave their cocktail hour but every single moment with Austin is so fun that It made It so easy because we truly wanted to spend more time with him and wish we had a full day just hanging out with him. Austin is so much more than a photographer. He is an advocate for you to have the best wedding day of your lives. He’s calming, funny, kind, genuine, attentive, thoughtful presence who made our wedding feel even more special than we could have imagined. We walked away with photos we’ll treasure forever, but also with the feeling that we gained a lifelong friend. We will continue to make sure to work with Austin for any future life moments we want captured because we truly miss him already and will recommend him to anyone to capture your special life moments in a beautiful way. If you want someone who will elevate your day, create the best memories and capture it flawlessly, hire him. It will be the best decision you make. Truly 1000000/10 experience - we love you, Austin!!! Kelly and Brendan (Chicago, IL, 10.10.25)

nt to us. His ability to capture every moment—big and small—so beautifully was beyond anything we could have imagined. Not only is Austin an incredibly talented photographer with an amazing vision, but he also knows weddings inside and out. He came prepared with everything from bobby pins to hairspray for last-minute touch-ups and even knew how to bustle my dress. His attention to detail and dedication went far beyond just taking photos—he was an invaluable part of our day. The quality of his work speaks for itself, but what truly sets Austin apart is the way he cares about his couples. He went above and beyond in every way, and we are so grateful to have had him capture one of the most important days of our lives. If you're looking for a photographer who is not only incredibly skilled but also kind, professional, and an absolute joy to be around, Austin is the one.

wedding, and from the moment we saw his work, we knew he was the one. In fact, his stunning photos were one of the main reasons we fell in love with our venue after seeing the pictures he had taken there the year before. Austin’s artistic style is truly unique and sets him apart from other photographers we considered. His work has a natural, candid quality that perfectly captures the emotion of each moment. But what has impressed us most is his ability to capture facial expressions that feel so authentic and true to each person. The only downside? (If you can even call it that) is that he’ll provide you with SO many beautiful images, it’s nearly impossible to pick favorites! Not only is Austin incredibly talented, but he's also an absolute pleasure to work with. He’s funny, easygoing, and makes everyone feel at ease — something that was so important on our big day. His positive energy and approachable attitude were a hit with our entire bridal party. We’ve had friends book him for their weddings, and bridesmaids already eagerly looking forward to booking him for their own. We’ve basically started a fan club! Lastly, Austin truly goes above and beyond for his couples, and it’s clear that he cares deeply about capturing every special moment. For example, we hired him to take photos at our rehearsal dinner, and although we were running incredibly behind schedule, he went out of his way to stay longer than planned so he could make sure to capture the speeches. That extra effort meant the world to us. We are so grateful Austin was there to document our day and we’ll cherish our wedding photos forever. We can’t wait to see him again in May for a friend’s wedding in Naples, and we know it will be just as amazing as our own experience! Thank you, Austin, for everything. You’re the best!
