Aullwood Farm is a BEAUTIFUL venue for an affordable price. We had our ceremony in the pavilion outside, and it was easy to move everyone up the path and into the newly-renovated f...
arm building for our reception. We didn't have to decorate very much because both locations - inside and outside - are naturally beautiful. The ladies in charge of rentals are easy to work with and experienced with weddings.
We did have a small snag with renting chairs for the outdoor ceremony - Aullwood will only let you use their chairs inside, so if you're having anything outside you will need to rent your own chairs. This was an unplanned expense for us so just be aware of what their policies are. Aullwood did recommend several chair rental places they had worked with before, and we were able to use one who already knew where the venue was, which was less work for everyone involved.
Overall, though, we had a wonderful experience having our wedding at Aullwood!
Beth was a great asset to our big day!! With her help we had a layout for the farm's reception hall that accommodated all our guests! The kids who attended the wedding (and there w...
ere many) loved being able to tour the farm and see all the animals along with the playground area they have. It was a hot day in June but the outdoor pavilion had ceiling fans and with the slight breeze everyone was ok to sit outside for the ceremony. The pictures we have from around the farm are beautiful thanks to the bank barnand beautiful exterior of the farm entrance. The cost as very reasonable and they allowed my mother in law to utilize the kitchen the day before the wedding to finish up details on our wedding cake. We were allowed to start decorating around 1:00 the day before the wedding and we're done before 5:00. My wedding day went to smoothly thanks to the help from Beth and all the Aullwood staff! I highly recommend contacting Aullwood. The farm and center are both affordable and offer a wide range of options for set up, etc.
I had my wedding reception in the nature center. The room fit with my theme perfectly, and my guests were able to enjoy the whole center throughout the night. The downfall to this ...
venue was the service. Even though we were told the room would be set up for us to decorate on Friday, nothing was done when we got there. Thankfully, we had a big group and were able to do everything ourselves very quickly, but it would have been nice if the employees would have been a bit more helpful. Overall, I would recommend this venue if you want a unique location for a great value, but you have to be willing to do a little more work yourself.
Where to begin? Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm was the best decision my husband and I made with our wedding. We had our reception there and it was perfect. It is so beautiful and...
the staff we worked there with was exceptional! Their price was so cheap to rent out the auditorium that we thought it was too good to be true. They even allow wedding ceremonies to take place outside as well. I would highly recommend you check Aullwood out for your wedding venue!
I grew up visiting Aullwood and have been Friends of Aullwood for a number of years, so picking the venue wasn't a hard choice. The people there are super helpful and make plannin...
g easy. Ardith is quick to respond to messages or emails. Everything was well organized.
I suggested the Nature Center to a friend who married in 2010 and when it was my turn, there was no doubt that I wanted the same place. We wanted something simple, vintage/rustic,...
yet elegant. This place has it all between the nature center, the gardens, and the farm. We had our ceremony and reception in their new discovery building at their farm on Frederick Rd. You can use whoever you want for catering (our pick) or do it yourself (my friend did her own.) You have 1-5 pm the day before to decorate and rehearse, than all your wedding day as soon as they open. All you have to do is clean up. They also provide a security guard if you want alcohol...plus there are hotels close that can offer shuttle serve if you are staying there.
It is a "MUST SEE and check out" place to add to your list!
