Ashlyn French Photography

Wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to capture these moment! Love Ash

robably one of the bigger expenses for our wedding day. I without a doubt know it would not have been the same without Ashlyn and her amazing photos to capture our night! Her and her husband were so sweet and we loved getting to know them! She really does build a relationship with you and makes sure to know exactly what you are anticipating and hoping for! You will not be disappointed with her work!! Thank you Ashlyn for providing us with your amazing photos and making sure we got to see all the little details we may have missed in the chaos of the night!! Nicole & Garrett Nanos

ways goes above and beyond to accommodate specific requests, document even the little details and special candid moments, and is able to seamlessly roll with the punches that come with events like weddings. She has a gift for capturing the emotion of a moment. She genuinely cares about the people she photographs and it shows in her galleries.

they might need, she also pays attention to so much detail and makes sure her photos are perfect before she delivers them. Any bride who hires Ashlyn for their wedding will be taken care of and will LOVE their experience!! xo

't make the same mistake that I did by booking this vendor. I will start by saying the vendor has been given this information privately so none of this is new information for her. First and foremost, before I shared the gallery with anyone, I saw that I was delivered a final, edited gallery with a photo of one of my guest's genital area front and center, up her dress, completely exposed. You can imagine my complete shock upon looking through my final gallery. The bare minimum of a photographer is to notice details. It is evident that she just pointed, shot the photo, slapped a filter on it, and called it good. She didn't even bother looking to see what she was editing and delivering to a final gallery. It it shocking, disturbing, and unacceptable. That was the worst of it, but unfortunately this lack of detail didn't stop there and what I'm listing isn't even the half of it. My husband made my wooden ring box by hand and I had emphasized multiple times that this box needed to be photographed. There's not one photo of it in the entire gallery even though she knew how important it was to us. My hair was never fixed or combed through and by the end of the night it is sticking to my forehead. (I have bangs, IYKYK.) There's photos of my mom and sister fixing my dress during our first dance, but Ashlyn didn't take the time to fix my dress before taking the photo. There's several photos of guests taking selfies but not photos of those guests themselves. I have 16 photos of my cake with horrible lighting and a glare, but 3 total formal photos with my mother. She took photos at strange angles where you're not even sure what the focal point is. During formal photos I was never told how to hold my bouquet so it looked best in the photos. She took no time to move things out of the way before taking a photo, like a beverage bottle in the middle of our cake cutting that distracts from the moment. She left multiple things unedited, like her finger in photos of our vow books and the rubber band in my wedding bouquet. These are just a handful of examples, there's many more I'm not mentioning. So many photos in the gallery just don't make sense. Detail is literally what she was hired to do. When I kindly brought all of this to her attention, Ash brushed off my attempt to talk about things further when she realized just how badly she had screwed up our memories. Her "further edits" included some flyaways and the rubber band in my wedding bouquet, something I had to ask her to do twice and that she said she didn't even notice until I pointed it out. As someone with no photography experience, why am I telling the person I hired to notice details what needs to be edited out? As someone who spent a lot of time looking for a photographer and being clear about my vision for the day, my concerns were chalked up to "miscommunication" which was just her taking no responsibility. She claims to really get to know her couples and this couldn't be farther from the truth. My advice for future brides is to really invest in someone who cares about your memories and will have the decency to take responsibility and action to make it right when they've made a mistake. My husband and I, as well as our families, will never get this day back and we are heartbroken at the result.

ears. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Me and my husband had no idea what to do in front of the camera, Ashlyn directed us and made everything look so natural. There were oh so many laughs and many smiles working together. That is just our experience with them, you can only imagine how the pictures came out. All Ashlyn’s work is so beautiful. The pictures come out so airy and bright. They were absolute perfection. I highly recommend Ashlyn French Photography for all your photo needs, you won’t regret it!

to absolutely annihilate any stress! My wedding day was perfect, and I am so glad that I had her there to capture everything from my personalized decor, family, and even the overall vibe of the day! My pictures looked like something out of a fairytale, and I couldn’t be more grateful! My whole family was also obsessed with her and her efficiency and complemented her to me for months after! I had a few things (and people) I was concerned about and she absolutely killed it making sure there was no way for those stressors to take over. She definitely knows her trade and helped the day run perfectly. I didn’t have a second of anxiety since she made the entire experience so wonderful and fun! The day flew by, but I can remember it all so well because she really captured everything I wanted! She was also very accommodating for my needs like doing a day of first look before we went into the temple and accommodating all of our “special guests” like my dog and our horses! She did such amazing work, and she actually made the experience fun! I can’t thank her enough for giving us such a wonderful and customized experience!

hing that I should bring to the venue that I probably would have forgotten. She also spent time on a video call helping me plan the timeline of the vow renewal. She also felt like more than a photographer. She felt and still feels like a friend. I have never met a photographer more trustworthy! The pictures are absolutely stunning as well. I seriously have nothing bad to say about my experience. We love Ash!!

ur pictures being taken. My son was so shy but she was so patient with him and helped us get some great smiles out of him. I definitely recommend her for all your picture needs. I couldn’t have been happier!

ere nervous about getting our pictures done because we usually don’t feel photogenic, but every one of Ashlyn’s pictures were gorgeous, I still can’t believe how they turned out so amazing! Several guests at our wedding commented on how friendly and professional she is, as well as her ability to direct a crowd. I would highly recommend Ashlyn to anyone, she really is the best!

info. Her photos capture the magic of the day in a way I have never seen from any other photographer. Hire Ash because you absolutely will not regret it!

feel comfortable and get the best shot (she even brought a hand warmer for us to warm up in between shots!!). Ashlyn isn’t afraid to be loud and knows how to get a crowds attention for big group shots. She has an incredible turn around rate and even gets you sneak peak phots the night of your shoot! She took our engagement, bridals, and wedding photos, and I will forever cherish them because they’re so beautiful!

mportant details. She does her research and knows who’s who prior to the event so she can prioritize photos which was great. She’s so bubbly and fun and makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. She told my husband and I exactly how to pose and all the photos look so natural and beautiful. She’s so professional and talented, we received so many sneak peek photos just a few hours after the wedding and nobody can stop raving about how amazing they turned out. We cannot wait to see the rest of our photos! If you want timeless beautiful photos for a lifetime definitely choose Ashlyn French as your wedding photographer or for any important event that you have and you WILL NOT be disappointed. I’d recommend her to anyone and we can’t wait to work with her again in the future. Thanks Ashlyn!!

at she does. On our wedding day she got through all of our pictures so quickly, and they all turned out beautiful! I love that she gave us over 1000 pictures from our special day, and every single part (big and small) was documented perfectly! She also gave us sneak peeks the same night! Ashlyn is the best, and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

things still always turned out better than the original plan. I have family who laments not having her at other weddings as we struggle to get through family pictures and capturing the right moments. She’s wonderful and really knows what she’s doing!

! She fixed my veil countless times, fluffed my dress, taught us how to cut the cake, and more. She is assertive and is so good at directing big groups, which on your wedding day, is SO important. My sister and multiple friends have since hired her because of her beautiful work and how good she is to work with. Hire Ashlyn! You won't regret it!

her, she also pays so much attention to detail. She will notice that small strand of hair that’s out of place and fix it for you. She will notice if your dress isn’t laying nicely and help you with it. She worries about the small details so you don’t have to! This took such a load off of me, because I wanted our engagements, bridals, and wedding day photos to be perfect. So did she!! She also has the perfect personality for the role she plays. My husband and I aren’t very natural in front of a camera and he always dreads taking photos. She posed us flawlessly and made the whole experience so easy, so comfortable, so fast, and so fun for both of us! On the wedding day, she was so great at directing large crowds and making photos on that day seamless and enjoyable for everyone there. She really is there for her brides, she listens to her clients concerns, and she fills the role she needs to in order to help in the best ways she can. It’s like having a photographer and a BFF who has your best interest at heart all in one. We loooove her work and I still cry looking at the photos she captured for us! She is perfect at what she does.

edding day because we were able to get through pictures with extended family easily! Her attention to detail is spot on. Seriously. I feel like I missed a lot of the wedding details and didn’t get to see a lot of the decor set up but was so happy to see that Ashlyn took shots of every single detail! You will not be disappointed with her I PROMISE!

idals, Ashlyn and her husband were so fun to chat with and made pictures so effortless! They were beautiful and stunning! At the temple, she helped get everyone in the right places for our group and family pictures and made it go by so quickly. She directed everyone efficiently so no one was lost. She helped everyone look their best by helping people know how to pose for their own bodies and outfits! I also specifically chose Ashlyn because I saw that she could capture people of color well!! With our Samoan and Tongan families I didn’t want anyone to look washed out or overexposed and she delivered!! The photos are beautiful and everyone looks stunning 😍 At the reception she blended into the background and beautifully portrayed the moments. ❤️ She was part of the family for the day and made the whole day that much sweeter! I highly recommend Ashlyn for any special day and know she will make you look better than you ever thought!

e and needed a last minute photographer! That’s when we found her! Ash literally flew into Utah from California earlier than planned just to drive to our wedding as soon as she landed! She was super chill and made everyone comfortable…. sometimes taking pictures can be awkward, but not with Ashlynn! She captured natural moments and nothing was too staged. She also seamlessly wrangled in my crazy family and gave them great direction. So thankful we have these pictures with these edits to fill the walls of our home forever!!

essional in every aspect. Directing big group of people is difficult for most, but she was efficient while making sure that every person was looking there best. Ashlyn was easy to communicate with, she was very informative and wanted the bride to feel relaxed and have the best experience of her life. We are so grateful that she was our photographer 😁

th her videographer, Kait C. Films. I got an incredible price when I booked both of them together (I’m talking 1/3 of the price of NY photographers/videographers).. I couldn’t even believe the price and I booked Ashlyn French (photo) immediately after seeing the quality of her photos. The package I got would be probably 10,000 + from a NY based photographer. An engagement album and wedding album was included in my package as well as 8 hrs of coverage and drone coverage with vows and speeches for video. I’m not sure what pricing is now, but I still think you’d get a much better deal than with Ashlyn than most photographers out here (of the same quality). Ashlyn is a GEM. She is extremely responsive whenever I text her or contact her. It’s like she’s my best friend, I swear. During the shoot, she brought an assistant who adjusted our clothes, held our bags, and helped us with all the little details. Ashlyn gives INCREDIBLE directions. She legit will tell you where to place your thumb. She looks at every little detail, fixes your hair, etc. She gives clear directions and makes your pictures look so natural. It was SO easy to shoot with her. I got sneak peeks within 6 hours and was blown away. I just had to share because she is seriously the only vendor I’m 100% confident in and HAVE been even before I got my pictures. Edited review: wedding day Photographer: Ashlyn French- A++ Ashlyn was my favorite vendor of them all. From the moment I booked her, she was beyond incredible. She was ALWAYS available and easy to contact over text or the phone. So so easy to talk to and literally answered any question I had at all hours of the day. She literally flew in from UTAH for our engagements and wedding. Our package included an engagement album and a wedding album at an amazing price. The engagement album served as a guest book. Our engagement photos were drop dead gorgeous. We were given SEVENTY (YES SEVENTY) sneak peeks 3 hours after our wedding. We had a hiccup with the limo and Ashlyn got stuck at Planting Fields for an hour. Her assistant took over seamlessly (he got in the limo to Swan Club). When she arrived, she got done what needed to be done. However, the videographer did not get to video our details because she was stuck as well and met us at Planting Fields (the plan was for her to do details and flat lay at Swan Club). The next day, the videographer already flew back to Utah. Ashlyn literally had us come to her hotel with our rings, vow books, jewelry etc. and shot more photos AND video to send to the videographer. Besides her going ABOVE AND BEYOND, her photography skills are beyond comparison and I cannot speak highly of her enough. Seriously just book her. I had no hesitation from the moment I did.

d make the decisions we needed someone else to make to help the whole day go perfectly. She will go above and beyond your expectations!!

seamless. She has such a fun personality that made us both feel super comfortable in front of the camera. She hyped us up the whole time and even showed us a could previews on the camera that helped us few more confident. Ashlyn is amazing!!

and wedding. Each and every session turned out absolutely beautiful. Everyone in my family and my husband’s family had nothing but positive things to say about the photos and overall experience with Ashlyn. Two specific things I really loved from my experience with Ashlyn was one, her devotion to making my experience the way I envisioned it; and two, her helpfulness at the wedding with things not related to photography. When weather didn’t go the way I had envisioned, Ashlyn brought umbrellas to save me and my husband from the snow, she listened to me and helped me capture my vision with her beautiful edits, and had a smile on her face the whole time. I think it is very impressive to have a photographer who can ease your stresses and make photos look good even when factors outside of her control go awry. Ashlyn is very adaptable and will make your photo dreams come true no matter the circumstances. Ashlyn went ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty by being direct and efficient with guests on the day of the wedding. Photos on the day of your wedding can be exhausting, but Ashlyn is extremely experienced and knocked it out of the park. She even took presents from guests and put them on the gift table, she interacted appropriately with guests, fixed my veil and train, showed me how to hold my flowers correctly, and so much more. If you’re contemplating going with Ashlyn or not, let me make it easy for you and do it! You and your family will not regret booking with Ashlyn for your special day!

ow to get people in position quickly and deal with big groups. So many of my family members came up to me after and said that was the best experience they’ve ever had with a wedding photographer. Not only was she fantastic with my huge family and completely took that stress away from the wedding day, but our engagements and bridals were more than I could have ever asked for. Ashlyn made me and my fiancé feel so comfortable and confident in front of the camera, and she captured our love so beautifully. I’m so grateful that we have that moment of our lives captured forever and I would 1000% recommend Ashlyn to anyone and everyone.

happily recommend her to anyone!! she will make you feel heard, less stressed, and beautiful on your wedding day! ashlyn is absolutely phenomenal please please have her capture your special day!!!

ut my photographer. She was always there to capture those special moments! Our pictures are stunning, I can’t stop looking at them. Highly recommend!!!

d I just couldn’t believe the quality and kindness that emanated from her! She was amazing to work with for both our bridals and wedding. I would book her a million times over again!!

ows how to get a group organized and looking their best and is open to creative ideas! I go through our photos often and think what a privilege it was to find her for the most anticipated and exciting day of our lives. She captured all the emotion and tender, unforgettable moments that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives.

vents and was great with directing our wedding party. 10/10 will recommend Ashlyn to all of our friends and family!

made everything run so smoothly and feel so easy. We love her contagious smile and amazing attitude. I couldn’t have asked for a better Photgrapher. I highly recommend her

ortable in front of the camera. She is so kind and charismatic- I recommend her any time I have the chance to!!

everyone look their best.

iancé) like family and made us feel beautiful and comfortable. All of our photos turned out beautiful and I’m literally in love with all of them. There’s not one photo that I don’t love. Ash knows how to get a genuine smile from anyone she is around. We didn’t feel awkward or weird, everything was so much fun!! Having Ash’s husband Josh there was also so nice. He and my husband got along like best friends which made the whole experience so much more fun. I loved shooting with Ash, and you will too!! You will not regret anything you decide to do with Ash. Whether it be bridals, engagements, your wedding, portraits, or any pictures, anything she does is incredible. She will treat you like her best friend and her best client. As a bride right before her wedding, there’s nothing I needed more than to feel beautiful and taken care of, and Ash does exactly that!!

dding in her professional magic. Ash makes sure to fix the little things like hands, hair, posture, etc. She knows how to handle a big crowd and get group pictures done quickly and efficiently. Simply put she is the best and I will be using her again!

you get! She also has the best personality! My husband and I both love her and her work! She's THE BEST! You won't be disappointed!

through but the only thing/person that was always reliable was Ashlyn! When we decided to Elope in the mountains a week before the date she was so sweet and worked with us and was able to capture the chaos with such beauty. I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to fine someone who was priced really well and had the vibe for the photos I wanted. And Ash was a dream come true! And such a fun gal to work with truly! 10/10

ts and helped me feel beautiful on our special day. She is professional and amazingly talented. You can’t go wrong with Ashlyn as your photographer and new/old friend!

hoots, capturing our genuine joy and love for each other! She's adventurous! While we were changing into our second outfits, she found another spot nearby that turned out absolutely romantic and magical. This was for our anniversary shoot. She helped our wedding pictures run seamlessly. No awkward situations for photos with my divorced parents. She's great at commanding a crowd in a way that's effective, but also still super upbeat and kind! I love how my photos turned out! I was so stressed about choosing a wedding photographer, and I absolutely made the right choice going with Ash!!

azing friend to me! She made sure our wedding day ran smoothly (which is above any photographers pay grade!) and left everyone smiling by the end of the night. We can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for us! We will forever use her as our photographer! I would 100/10 recommend her to anyone and everyone! We love you Ash!

she captured our love in a magical way! She genuinely cares so much about her clients. she is fun and bubbly and made us feel so comfortable, and for us that was something important because we are pretty uncomfortable being in-front of a camera; it was like we have known each other for years. There isn’t enough words to explain how grateful we are -We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hands down the BEST photographer!

o print for reception decor which was incredible! She's very outgoing and personable and answered all of mine and my husband's concerns. I often feel awkward in front of the camera but she made me feel really comfortable and I had a plethora of pictures to choose from that showed a real smile. She is the definition of going above and beyond - in addition to taking pictures she helped with the reception and had loads of great advice.
