We truly cannot say enough great things about Artistry in Focus Photography. Emily was absolutely amazing from start to finish and went above and beyond in every possible way.
From site visits to our venue, detailed shot sheets, and constant communication leading up to the wedding, Emily made sure every detail was covered. On the wedding day, she was there for every moment, helped keep everything moving, and even helped direct and coordinate with our videographer.
More than anything, Emily was just such a great person to have around on our wedding day. She was kind, caring, calm, and genuinely fun to be around. When you’re spending basically your entire wedding day with your photographer, that makes such a huge difference. Her second shooter, Candy, was equally as impressive, and the two of them made an incredible team.
The quality of their work, communication, organization, and overall professionalism exceeded our expectations. Weddings can obviously be high-stress, and having vendors you completely trust — and actually enjoy being around — makes all the difference.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Emily and Artistry in Focus and are so thankful they were part of our wedding day. We would highly, highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the DFW area. Truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
Now my review starts off as a long shot request...
My brother and my sister in law lost their house a few weeks ago in a wild fire and they lost everything. I started making a new wedding album for them and was going to just use the pictures I took as well as the few professional ones she had posted on facebook. But I saw that she had tagged these lovely people in a picture they taken and I took a long shot and reached out. Now they got married back in 2012 and I had my doubts that they still had the files. But after doing some digging, the amazing Emily found them in their archives! She said they archive everything, for which we are so grateful! I let my brother and SIL know that I reached out and was able to save their pictures, and they are beyond happy to have those memories back! The pictures are all amazing! And now they have over 600 to go through and pick which ones they want to have blown up again! I am so happy I was able to do this for them and I am so thankful that you keep everything saved! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! They can keep cherishing these memories forever💗✨️🙏

I photograph weddings with a focus on genuine connection and the kind of love that feels easy, steady, and real. Every wedding day is made up of meaningful moments — the quiet in-between glances, the laughter with your favorite people, the emotion that shows up when you least expect it — and those are the things I’m drawn to most.
My approach blends documentary-style storytelling with intentional direction when it’s needed. I’m not here to over-stage your day or turn it into a production. Instead, I step in when guidance helps and step back when the moment is better left untouched. The result is a collection of images that reflects your relationship as it actually felt.
I work with couples who care deeply about their people and their story — who want their wedding photos to feel honest, emotional, and true to who they are together.
On a wedding day, I’m present but unobtrusive, focused but calm, making sure things flow smoothly so you can stay grounded in the experience.
When I’m not photographing weddings, I like to recharge by exploring new and beautiful places with my family or grabbing coffee with my friends.
