I had my wedding here on 8/9/25 (note this review is a mix of Artisan Acres and Ritz Charles).
POSITIVES: 1. The venue is absolutely stunning—truly beautiful! 2. The food was phe...nomenal—the dinner, the late-night snacks, and the cake were all incredible.
NEGATIVES: I paid around $42,000 for the venue (including food and drinks) for 156 guests. I didn’t initially mind paying this amount because of everything I was told the venue included… unfortunately, much of what was promised was not delivered. 1. Coordinators: They claim to provide both a ceremony coordinator and an overall event coordinator. When I asked if I should hire my own day-of coordinator, they told me most brides don’t need one. This is 100% not true—you absolutely do need one. 2. Decorating & Cleanup: They advertise that they help with decorations and cleanup, but this is misleading. Their decorating help is minimal—basic things like placing a vase on a table. For table decorations that required even minimal assembly, they did not help. I had to scramble to find a last-minute coordinator to handle this. As for cleanup, they only clean up their items, not yours. My coordinator was shocked at the lack of help—so on my wedding night, I had to stay late with a few guests to help her clean up. This is the LAST thing a bride wants to do!!! 3. Ceremony Coordination: I met with the ceremony coordinator ahead of time to review the day but was later told two different people would be helping. I only met one of them, and she did very little actual coordination. Thankfully, my own coordinator stepped in and took control of the rehearsal. 4. Overall Coordination Process: The coordinator assigned to work with me throughout the planning process was slow to respond—sometimes taking three weeks to reply to emails. The service felt impersonal and more like she was checking off tasks than genuinely helping me. 5. Communication Issues: Communication overall was terrible. For example, I was told we could have “quiet hour” music from 10–11 p.m., so I hired a DJ for that full time. The DAY OF the wedding (during reception), my DJ and I were informed music had to stop at 10 p.m. This meant I wasted money on an extra DJ hour where no music could be played. 6. Transportation: There was conflicting information between the venue owner and the Ritz Charles coordinator. I was told the larger 56-person shuttle could drop guests in front of the tunnel so they could walk through to see the champagne glasses before heading to the ceremony—but this turned out not to be allowed. Guests had a longer 'hike' than anticipated and totally missed the grand entrance that was intended :( 7. Following Instructions: I asked my bridesmaids to place their flowers in vases during cocktail hour. The ceremony coordinator, who also knew this plan, instead took the flowers from them and placed them randomly, leaving awkward EMPTY vases on some tables.
Would I have my wedding here again? ABSOLUTELY! Simply because of the beauty of the venue and the deliciousness of the food. What I do things differently? YES! For instance, hire my own coordinator from the start and communicate more (or at least confirm things) with the actual owners, rather than the Ritz Charles liaisons.
