About this vendor
I love helping women feel comfortable and beautiful on their special day.
—
Born and raised on the front range of Colorado, I have been doing hair and makeup for almost ten years. I studied at the Aveda Institute in Denver. After running a successful bridal business in Boulder, Colorado for several years, my family relocated to Salida, Colorado in the midst of the pandemic in search of a slower pace of life.
After working so long in the bridal industry, I sought to bring that slower pace to my work. Rather than packing in as many bridal party members as possible on your big day, my goal is to spend time with you, the bride, customizing your look and bringing calm and serenity to your big day.
With that in mind, I like to allocate 2-3 hours to you. I don’t work with huge bridal parties. But what I will provide is exceptional skincare and skin prep that you won’t get from other artists who are performing your services in 30-45 minutes. I will provide hair styling with an attention to detail, and a stylist who is able to stay at your wedding long enough to ensure that your veil is placed just perfectly, and that any details that have gone astray during your first look, have been put back in place for your ceremony.
If this sounds like you, then let’s chat about what making your day truly special.

a fairytale! We did not do a trial, but she absolutely nailed the look I wanted with inspiration photos and asking questions. I trusted her with the classic “whatever you think” for certain details I hadn’t thought of, and she nailed every single one. She was so attentive to every detail and a pleasure to chat with. My hair was absolutely stunning, and my bridesmaids adored theirs. I couldn’t help but look around and giggle with glee at how wonderful everyone looked. The morning was so stress free, and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you Katie!

nailed it terms of balancing the airbrushed perfection while still making sure I still felt/looked like myself. She was responsive, kind, patient, easy to talk to, and so cool-headed. Her calm vibes really helped keep me centered on the big day. Can't recommend Katie highly enough. She is incredibly talented!
BTW I'm bad at the internet and sometimes had trouble finding her website on Google. The link is here: https://www.arkvalleybridal.com/

I cannot recommend her enough!
Katie did my hair and makeup for my wedding along with some of my bridesmaids on site. Katie was so amazing to work with, she is so sweet and calming it’s just relaxing being in th...
e same room with her (which was such an added bonus on my wedding day)! She was flexible and so helpful during my trial and did that and more on my wedding day! Somehow my curls even stayed after standing out in the snow for our ceremony and for pictures after! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to look and feel fabulous for a day!
Katie did an awesome job on our hair and makeup for my wedding and was very affordable. She was also amazing to work with throughout the planning process. Everyone loved her work (...
which is hard to find unanimous votes when doing 8 girls hair/makeup). I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for hair/makeup on their special day.

id a great job tackling my crazy hair and keeping it in check for a windy hike through the mountains and dancing the night away.
Katie was the best because she communicated really well regarding appointments and what I wanted in my bridal hair and makeup. She also has the most calming presence, which was per...
fect for the wedding day. Her "work of art" lasted the entire day. Seriously. She gave me a touch-up kit, and I didn't even need to use it! Well worth the money.
Katie was incredibly friendly, personable and actually bailed my opinion. I don’t wear make up, as I told Katie I have one tube of mascara and I have a hard time keeping up with it...
. Our trial run was perfect and she made sure I was truly happy and then even adjusted our plan later that week after I had some second thoughts (not her fault, I just have a very oily face that overreacts to makeup). The day of my wedding, my “getting ready” location fell through and she graciously let me get ready at her studio. My makeup turned out absolutely perfect and I didn’t feel like I had layers of make up on and I felt natural, just a little extra enhanced. I didn’t even to reapply anything! I can’t recommend her enough.
Katie was wonderful! Super accommodating and intuitive, everything was perfect and just how I'd pictured it. Katie is super sweet and was very communicative. I highly recommend her...

h you to determine what your specific desires are and then takes the time and attention to create a look that fits your needs. I don't even wear make up and I LOVED what she did with mine. I can't recommend her enough.
I hired Katie for my bridal make up from a friends referral. I am so thankful I chose to use a professional artist for my make up. Working through tears ( of happiness of course)...
, nose blowing and my constant chatter with the bridal party is no easy task. My make up came across remarkable and my skin looked flawless. Katie was mindful with time, made me comfortable and pampered. I really appreciated the quality products she used and my make up didn't feel cakey or thick. It felt light, yet covered any flaws/blemishes I had. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
