creations. The bouquets were gorgeous and the ceremony/reception floral really made our timeless, romantic wedding a dream come true! The floral could not have been more perfect - we were so happy! Jamie is easy to communicate with and provided advice, even when I changed my mind more than a few times. We highly recommend A.R. Pontius for your wedding!

xactly what I wanted and nailed it! The biggest thing I wanted for florals on my wedding day was a gorgeous arch and WOW did they deliver. My guests still talk about it and I still daydream about it it was that stunning. Of course, with an arch like that everything else was stunning too from the bouquets to the table decor, it was just perfect and one of my favorite things about our day. I truly can't recommend AR Pontius enough! If you can work them, DO IT! Photos by The Weber Photographers

took what we described for the vision and turned it into reality. I'll be dreaming of my wedding flowers forever, thanks to Jamie and her team!

my bouquet until bedtime as I was so obsessed with it. We also had a fairly specific special request that I truly didn't even expect to be possible - the incorporation of a carnivorous plant into the design. Jamie somehow tracked down venus flytraps in October and put them in my bouquet and my husband's boutonniere. She also took another personal aspect (my husband works with tropical plants) and created a tastefully semi-tropical feel that totally worked in October in Michigan. I also loved that our flowers didn't look like anyone else's I've seen, even in previous work by Pontius - it was truly tailored for what we were looking for. Overall fabulous work, professional, reliable, and above all the attention personal details meant so much - can't recommend enough!

geous and I was so happy with the flowers at both our backyard ceremony and our reception at the Perry Hotel in Petoskey. Would highly recommend A.R. Pontius!!

g at the Inn at Bay Harbor. I had put together a mood board of florals I had seen online to give Jamie an idea of what I liked... including a photo of a bouquet she had designed that I said was my ultimate favorite. When I saw the flowers on our wedding day I could not have been more amazed. The bouquets were GORGEOUS. The bridesmaids gasped when they got delivered to our cottage that morning! She brought my dream bouquet inspiration to life throughout the entire venue, including a floral installation she designed behind the bride/groom seats that took our breath away. Jamie was very responsive and so patient with me as I floated various ideas past her over the course of a few months. She made a number of adjustments to our quote as I debated exactly what I wanted for the ceremony, terrace and reception florals. She also had great ideas for how we could repurpose the ceremony flowers on the terrace and dance floor. A huge THANK YOU to Jamie and her team for bringing such brightness to our (very rainy) wedding day through your beautiful flowers. We could not have asked for anything more!!

ng.....I literally made them a photo guide with instructions ....every step if the way she was professional and very helpful. To top it off, the flowers at our wedding were out of this world GORGEOUS!!!! Beyond or wildest dreams! Jamie and her team definitely went above and beyond our expectations. You could tell they really payed attention to all the details I requested and understood my vision. I have also worked in the wedding industry for over 18 years, so I have seen it all! It was my first experience with this company and I am a client for life. We will continue to recommend A.R. Pontius to everyone! Thank you so much for making our wedding day so magical!

deliver!! I had also always wanted peonies for my bridal bouquet, but with the wedding in July it was slim pickings. Jamie still managed to pull through and provide me with several and it made my day! So unbelievably happy with their services and would recommend to everyone in Northern, MI!

ut the entire process. We had a truly stunning set of florals that creating an incredible moment for my husband and I to start our married life together. I loved that Jamie was able to include local flowers and my special requests in a beautiful way that made for an incredible event. Thank you so much!!

ie and her staff kept up with all of them and created my daughter in laws vision perfectly. The Perry Hotel looked like a magical place when they were finished. I used them for rehearsal dinner flowers and they were gorgeous. They are very talented at Pontius and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

aths with 3 LED lights that illuminated into the night!) and incredible passionate (i.e. she owns her own farm to grow flowers!) We couldn't have imagined a better florist and are so grateful for Jamie for all of her hard work! We wish we could have celebrated w/ you but you were too busy doing other weddings, too!

meeting to talk about ideas, emailing inspiration pics, and speaking on the phone. She took the time and asked all the right questions to clarify what I was envisioning (even when I often didn't have the right vocabulary/floral knowledge to correctly express what I was thinking). I love that Jamie doesn't just have one style or vibe that she recreates, she really worked hard to create exactly the style I wanted. She was super respectful of our budget and had many suggestions of ways to adjust how we were allocating our money in order to make the biggest impact possible. She also had many suggestions of how to move and re-use arrangements between the wedding ceremony and reception. Jamie listened to my specific requests and ideas, but the more we worked together the more I realized that she knew exactly what I was going for and I was able to trust her artistic eye without worrying about every little detail. She is everything you want in a wedding florist and we could not recommend her enough!

. The experience was stress free and I just cannot emphasize how beautiful the flowers were!

nd she seamless asked clarifying questions, suggested types of flowers, presented new (AWESOME) ideas and was extremely respectful of our budget. She provided individual prices for everything (i.e. centerpieces, archway flowers, etc.) which was extremely helpful in determining the final product. Jamie wasn't phased by the fact that our wedding was at a location that had never had one before and that my brother built the archway. When I asked for 30 cacti one week before our rehearsal dinner, Jamie said 'no problem, we're on it'! Her team was flawless in their day-of execution and the flowers were flawless. She truly made the dreams I didn't even know I had come true! Honestly we were so sad to see it all come down at the end of the event. Do not look anywhere else for your flower vendor, Pontius is the best of the best!

as just as important. Finally, she was so helpful and patient when my mom started e-mailing her questions separately about our arch without me knowing despite them being redundant. Thanks so much Jamie!

never rushed me and spent a ton of time listening and helping put my vision to life. She recommended the most beautiful elements to maximize our budget. Once I saw my wedding floral the day of I was completely blown away. We did not give her the biggest budget to work with, and she made it look so unbelievably gorgeous and even better than I could have ever imagined. Thank you so much for being incredible!

ing about the beautiful flower chandelier she made for under our tent! I would recommend AR Pontius to anyone in need of beautiful florals!

ridal, church, and reception flowers. Jamie was able to accommodate our budget and flower requests and we were absolutely thrilled when we saw everything on the day of the wedding. Flowers are a large expense and you really don’t know until you arrive how everything will look, but I am so happy to say we were elated-the flowers fit the brides vision and reception venue perfectly. Jamie is so creative and talented. She did a fantastic job and she is a pleasure to work with

e and her team at A.R. Pontius really executed the vibe I was going for at our event. She was communicative, always responding to my hundreds of emails and even came out to meet us at the venue one day on very short notice to help me get an idea of the installation she had in mind. She had plenty of recommendations, which was great because although I knew I wanted flowers to be a huge part of our event, I really didn't know much about them. She went back and forth with me to help me figure out how to get the biggest bang for my buck but ultimately left the decisions of where to spend the money up to me. She was kind, prompt, down-to-earth, patient, has impeccable taste and is more reasonably priced than some other florists in the area. I highly recommend Jamie and the team at A.R. Pontius for your big day!

ly to build us hanging floral chandeliers that turned out amazing. We would highly recommend using her for any event!

xceeded my expectations. Jamie was seamless to work with. She asked for photos of arrangements that I liked and then sent me a list of corresponding flowers that were in season. I then went through and googled each flower and told her whether I wanted them incorporated or not. She made notes on everything that I requested and was very respectful of my budget. We stuck to my budget exactly and she worked to adjust the size/quality of arrangements to make sure I got all the flowers that I wanted for the ceremony, reception, etc. I cannot express enough how perfect and fresh all of the arrangements were. My favorite part of the whole experience was how attentive she was to my request of having my plum and burgundy flowers so rich in color that they were "almost" black. She was so tasteful in her treatment of this request and knocked it out of the park. There's no other word to describe her work than STUNNING. I would recommend working with A.R. Pontius over and over again. My husband and I send our deepest gratitude for helping make our day so perfect. All the love!

most GORGEOUS bouquets and arrangements. I highly recommend working with A.R. Pontius for any event. It was beyond perfect.

flowers and table decor for two locations, plus extra arrangements in a few other places. Everything was set up beautifully and without so much as a thought on my part. Jamie was also so sweet through the whole process and very responsive and helpful.

the phone, it was evident, she could picture my vision for the wedding and that she had the expertise to make it so much better. We live out of the state and Jamie worked with us flawlessly via email, phone and even to schedule a site visit during one of our trips to the area. Jamie didn’t even blink when we challenged her to hang greenery from suspended strands of lights. Even when I asked for specific flowers to incorporate into my bouquet and the centerpieces, she used her creative eye and experience to incorporate every green and flower in the most beautiful arrangements, all the while she was working within the budget that we discussed. Thank you to Jamie, the interior of our reception venue was transformed into a modern garden that was better than we could have ever imagined!

disappointed!

envisioning for my wedding floral because I had not really seen it done before...and she completely nailed it!! Her work was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. The flower arrangements were stunning and she was a joy to work with! I would highly recommend her to any and all brides in the area!

ts for our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. I could not get over how she completely captured my vision. She truly listened to every detail I had communicated and the turnout was a complete dream. There is not a single thing we would have changed . I am certain that if you choose to work with Jamie for your wedding, you will have the same experience too.

flowers. We worked together on our vision and she brought it to life. Organized, meticulous, creative, kind, talented... the list goes on. If you are getting married in the Harbor Springs area- stop your search now.

d no doubt that my reception would be everything I had dreamed of with Pontius Flower Shop there to help make it perfect! I would highly recommend Jamie if you're looking for a gorgeous setup!

ritize all possibilities of flowers/arrangements at your wedding to truly understand places where a few dollars can be saved, and the best options to accomplish that. Being someone that does not know a lot about flowers and didn't have a lot of strong opinions on what I wanted, I appreciated that she was able to take the few ideas and pictures I had found and craft something truly beautiful out of it! I gave her not a lot to work with, and she gave us something awesome in return. Would recommend A.R. Pontius to anyone planning a wedding in the Petoskey / Harbor Springs / Bay View, MI area!

he knew exactly how to complement my uniquely-colored wedding dress. Thank you, Jamie!

we wanted, told us what she thought would work best and told us what wouldn't. We really appreciated her honesty and are so glad we listened to her because she obviously knows what she is doing, everything turned out perfectly. She is also so chill and reassuring which was nice for both my wife and I, to have a calming voice in all the crazy wedding planning! We had pretty simple flowers for our wedding and Jaime made everything look so classically beautiful, from the greens on the tables to the bridesmaids bouquets, it was just what we wanted. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a rockstar florist in Northern Michigan.

edding planning process. I probably emailed her more than any other vendor, and she always emailed me back so promptly. I didn’t have a crazy budget for florals and I was so worried that my reception hall would look bare. When I showed up to my reception, I was blown away by how amazing everything looked! From the centerpieces, to the cake, to the simple greenery around the entrance tables, everything looked incredible. Definitely 5 stars and I recommend A.R. Pontius to anyone planning their Northern Michigan wedding!

y is exceptional. We are still enjoying the flowers 10 days later. You will find Jamie and her team extremely talented, professional, courteous and willing to work with any budget. While others were dancing and the evening was underway, I took a moment to just sit and enjoy the candlelight view and take it all in! Our daughter's vision for their day was carried out flawlessly. Simple, understated elegance! Our thanks! Deb C.

er a few photos and she sent over some options and I let her do what she knows best and WOW! I could not have been more pleased with how our bouquets turned out.

with Jamie- my only criteria was bright flowers. She came up with tons of ideas that incorporated the bright flowers and also included a natural element, like lots of greenery, that complemented the garden venue. I also wanted a floral installation, and Jamie scouted out our venue ahead of time and came up with the perfect design within our budget. The installation, centerpieces, arch flowers, and bouquets were so beautiful. Many of our guests commented on how much they liked the flowers, and everyone who sees pictures always notes the flowers. I'm so pleased with how everything turned out, I can't recommend A.R. Pontius Flower Shop enough!

uet was breathtaking! I couldn't believe it. The bridesmaid's flowers were just baby's breath but she made them the most gorgeous I've seen. She made the sweetest wreath for the flower girl. And the altar flowers were amazing. I can't recommend her highly enough. So if you don't have a lot to spend on flowers or if your budget is unlimited USE Jamie. You will be over the moon with the results.

responding to my many many emails making sure all of the details were set on the day of the wedding. She was wonderful to work with! They were kind and helpful with recommending in season flowers and with recommendations in order to make my dreams become a reality. I could not have asked for a better florist on my wedding day and highly recommend A. R. Pontius!

s but I was a bit intimidated as I know little about flowers and had already allocated most of my wedding budget to other areas. Jamie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is an expert on flowers - she knew every answer to any question I asked and could advise me on how flower species look, their colors, and how they hold up throughout the night. She was able to guide a beginner like me and help me through the process of selecting my dream wedding flowers. Did I mention that I met with Jamie about 1 month before my April wedding date and she was still able to make it happen? She helped me choose flowers based on that short timeline, my budget, and my preferences. Jamie knew what to ask to learn what I like and also to help me assess my options. We looked at pictures and based on my feedback she was able to make more suggestions from there and help me find my dream flowers! Jamie also helped me make the most out of decorating the space within my desired budget. For example, I used the same two large arrangements in my ceremony space and had them moved to flank the DJ table on the dance floor to decorate my reception space. Jamie gives great advice and was able to gather my preferences from our one meeting and email/phone correspondence after. She was very quick to respond, extremely friendly and accommodating, and super helpful. I went through A.R. Pontius to transport my flowers as well and they arrived beautifully and intact. When I got to my venue (Castle Farms in Charlevoix) on my wedding day I was blown away by the bouquets and floral arrangements. I brought them home with me too and enjoyed them for a couple weeks after! I can't say enough about how amazing my experience with Jamie and A.R. Pontius was for my wedding! I only wish I lived closer so I could get flowers from there more often!

o work with. Thank you for making our wedding day so perfect!

al blooms in all the colors I hoped for, and a special statement arrangement for the ceremony was big and fun and totally exceeded my expectations. All of the flowers were stunning. Hire A.R. Pontius!
